Undefined is not a function - sap.ui.core.js issue
I am trying to build an sap ui5 app, with phonegap, but I always get this message from a debugger:
And my emulator looks like this:
For the 1000000th time, always the same error in sap.ui.core.js file: Undefined is not a function.
Any ideas?
This app has an interesting behaviour. I had to comment almost whole code. If I leave only this:
(just a Page element with it's title), then app "works" and there are no errors in the console.
But if I only try to put some other content into the page (for example, if I leave the button) --> mentioned error shows up, and all I have is bluecrystal page...
No idea.
By the way, code was written some time ago, and the app is working.

Very frustrated here. I'm getting the following error on the home page on my Muse site. Looks like it could be the banner slider: "MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:TypeError: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating 'a.watch("height",function(){b.height($(this).outerHeight())})')"
When I click OK the error message goes away. Not a problem for me, but I can't have potential new customers seeing this when I show
I see this error on Safari 6.1.2. I don't see the error on IE.
I'm using the latest Muse CC 2014.
Here's the site: www.optimumfitness.com
Please help anyone. I've been building Muse sites for a long time and have never seen this problem.
Thanks,
GregHi,

Hi,
There is dump occuring in one of the system as follows :
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "CX_WD_GENERAL" in "RAISE". The main program was "SAPMHTTP ".
The reason for the exception is:
WebDynpro Exception: ICF service node "/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/HAP_MAIN DOCUMENT/undefined" does not exist.
WEB Dynpro and object HAP_MAIN DOCUMENT in SE80 exist and Object HAP_MAIN DOCUMENT is active. ICF service exists.
What is the cause of this problem ?
Thanks and Regards,
RashmiThomas,
I have seen a few thread on similar problem.
Now with SRM7(701 SP6) we also have such strange dumps.
The users are not recognizing anything on the UI.
We have such dumps:
ICF service node "/sap/bc/webdynpro/sapsrm/wda_l_fpm_gaf/undefined" does not exist (see SAP Note 1109215).
or
ICF service node "/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/powl/undefined" does not exist (see SAP Note 1109215).
I found a note that can be used:
SAP Note 1414404 - Web Dynpro ABAP generates unnecessary dumps.
But this just relpace the error raise issue with an error message issue.
The core problem is why the "undefined" service subnode is called from a webdynpro.
In ST22 I can see such dumps for a user e.g. 10 times within 30 sec.
Not all user can produce the dumps.
We are at the begining with this issue, so we will start the detailed system trace next monday.
Based on the threads I've read, this is also a new problem for everybody (different kind of apps, e.g. ECC, SRM) and raised in most cases ater an upgrade (having a higher basis netweaver release).
So maybe it is a core WD issue with new netweaver base releases.
Do appreciate if you can help us to find the solution or suggest what to check/trace, etc.
Many thanks for your kind help.

TypeError: Error #1006: getInstance is not a function.
I having some problems implementing Flex for the first time.
At the moment I'm getting
TypeError: Error #1006: getInstance is not a function.
I suspect that I'm missing a library or something in the
compile but I don't know how to resolve it.
When I Run the Application in Flex Builder I get an error
that the file isn't in the project and that some of the features
are disabled. This would be consistent with an incomplete compile
but the file is in a project. I even recreated a new project but I
get the same errors.
What am I missing?More detail on the error:
TypeError: Error #1006: getInstance is not a function.
at mx.core::Singleton$/getInstance()
at mx.styles::StyleManager$cinit()
at global$init()
at mx.containers::Form$cinit()
at global$init()
at global$init()
In debug it was stopping here in Singleton.as
public static function getInstance(name:String):Object
var clazz:Class = classMap[name];
return Object(clazz).getInstance();
I changed the container from mx:Form to mx:Application so now
it seems to be working, but I'm not sure why mx:Form was giving me
this issue. -
SAP HANA D3 Library errors - "queue" is not a function
Hello all,
i have a question regarding D3 Integration into SAP HANA and hope one can help me.
The last days i developed a D3 Choropleth (spatial data) with hover effects, tooltips and a legend. I have an existing SAPUI5 and HANA XS application running and now i wanted to integrate my D3 Choropleth.
1 ) First of all, i added the following tags into the head section of the index.html file of my SAPUI5 project as i need those libaries.
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://d3js.org/d3.v3.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://d3js.org/queue.v1.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://d3js.org/topojson.v1.min.js"></script>
2) Then, i added the program code of my D3 Choropleth into the view.js of my SAPUI5 project:
var html2 = new sap.ui.core.HTML("d3choropleth", {
content: "<div class='D3Choropleth'>" + "</div>",
preferDOM: false,
afterRendering: function() {
.... here is my code ...
I have a SAPUI5 shell with different NavigationItems (tabs) and for this D3 Choropleth tab i am writing:
case "WI_choropleth":
oShell.setContent(html2);
break;
When i start my SAPUI5 project and klick on the tab where the D3 Choropleth should be rendered, i get the following errors:
d3.scale.threshold is not a function
d3.geo.albers center is not a function
queue is not a function
Moreover, i have to say that my D3 Choropleth works standalone outside HANA very well, that is why i assume it is a library integration issue.
In my browsers (firefox) developer console i can see that there is a D3 library loaded by default (as it is one of SAPUI5s components) with the path: sap/ui5/1/resources/sap/ui/thirdparty/D3.js.
BUT this is a really old version of D3 (2.9), the current release is D3 (3.4), so maybe the problem is that the D3 libary that is loaded by default overwrites my integration of D3 (script tag above)?
Does anyone have the same issues and knows how to solve that? Furthermore it seems that the d3 queue library is also not integrated as the error "queue is not a function" occurs and i also ask me how to solve that error.
We have SAP HANA Developer Edition Revision 80 (by AWS), HANA Studio and Client are on revision 73 (64bit).
It would be great if anyone could help me with my issue.
Further question: Is the current release of D3 going to be integrated into the next HANA revision?
Thanks a lot & regards,
AndreasHi Andreas,
You are right. The way you integrate the libraries in your code is not the way that will work for HANA XS projects. This is why it doesn't accept the queue function (library is not loaded) and also why the 3.x only D3JS funcitons are not accepted (only the internal D3JS library is loading and these functions were not a part of 2.9 yet).
To integrate third party libraries, you need to add XSJSLIB files to your project. These need to pass the server-side JSLint checks before accepted by the XS engine. (Client-side checks that fail might not count though).
Please see this post from David Brookler for more information.

How to extend the sap.ui.core.mvc.Controller ?
We are in the process of building a web application that allows users to "plugin" their own views (pages). When they create there own views there are a number of activities that are common across all pages that occur in the onInit() and onExit() methods, additionally, we may provide additional utility functions that should be available to the controller.
Currently when creating a controller the standard is to use sap.ui.controller("some.name", { controller specific functionality } ); I would like to create a sap.ui.MyController("some.name", { controller specific functionality }); that contains the utility functions and extra functionality in the LifeCycle methods so that these are automatically available to anyone defining this type of controller.
I believe the documentation I need to reference is boilerplate code for typed Controller however I am unsure on how this can be used
I assume that I define the controller abc/xyz/MYController.js
jQuery.sap.declare({modName:"abc.xyz.MYController", type:"controller"}); // declaring a special type of module
abc.xyz.MYController = function () { // the constructor
sap.ui.core.mvc.Controller.apply(this, arguments);
jQuery.sap.require("sap.ui.core.mvc.Controller"); // this is currently required, as the Controller is not loaded by default
abc.xyz.MYController.prototype = jQuery.sap.newObject(sap.ui.core.mvc.Controller.prototype); // chain the prototypes
/* end of boilerplate code for typed Controller */
abc.xyz.MYController.prototype.onInit = function() {
// modify control tree - this is the regular lifecycle hook
console.log("Inside my new controller.");
Then use it in app/pageController.controller.js ...
jQuery.sap.require("abc.xyz.MYController");
abc.xyz.MYController("app.pageController", { ..... });
When I try this I get the Error
Uncaught Error: failed to load 'app/pageController.controller.js' from /mywebapp/js/app/pageController.controller.js: Error: Controller type app.pageController is still undefined after trying to load it. sap-ui-core-all-dbg.js:20313requi
Any help with this would be appreciated.

TrevorHi Trevor

Navigation not working in SAP.m split app MVC
Hello Experts,
This is my index.html file:
<script src="resources/sap-ui-core.js" id="sap-ui-bootstrap"
data-sap-ui-libs="sap.m,sap.ui.commons"
data-sap-ui-theme="sap_bluecrystal">
</script>
<!-- only load the mobile lib "sap.m" and the "sap_mvi" theme -->
<script>
sap.ui.localResources("bachelorproefbartgeudens");
var startpage = sap.ui.view({id:"promostart", viewName:"bachelorproefbartgeudens.Promo_App_Start", type:sap.ui.core.mvc.ViewType.JS});
var infopage = sap.ui.view({id:"promoinfo", viewName:"bachelorproefbartgeudens.Promo_App_Info", type:sap.ui.core.mvc.ViewType.JS});
var infopage2 = sap.ui.view({id:"promoinfo2", viewName:"bachelorproefbartgeudens.Promo_App_Info2", type:sap.ui.core.mvc.ViewType.JS});
/*** THIS IS THE "APPLICATION" CODE ***/
//SPLIT APP
var oSplitApp = new sap.m.SplitApp("mySplitApp", {});
//add the master pages to the splitapp control
oSplitApp.addMasterPage(startpage);
//add the detail pages to the splitapp control
oSplitApp.addDetailPage(infopage).addDetailPage(infopage2);
//oSplitApp.addDetailPage(oDetailPage1).addDetailPage(oDetailPage2);
//place
oSplitApp.placeAt("content");
</script>
So i use the views as pages. But the thing is when i try to navigate after pushing a button in a view:
press : function (evt){
// navigate to detail2 page
var bus = sap.ui.getCore().getEventBus();
console.log(bus);
bus.publish("nav", "to", {
id : "detail2"
It is not doing anything...
Any suggestions?
Kind Regards,
BartHi Andreas,
U were right, I had nothing in my controller that listened to the EventBus.
I looked it up a little and i found i should add these functions.
onInit: function() {
var view = this.getView();
// to avoid scrollbars on desktop the root view must be set to block display
view.setDisplayBlock(true);
// remember the App Control
this.app = view.byId("mySplitApp");
// subscribe to event bus
var bus = sap.ui.getCore().getEventBus();
bus.subscribe("nav", "to", this.navToHandler, this);
bus.subscribe("nav", "back", this.navBackHandler, this);
navToHandler : function(channelId, eventId, data) {
if (data && data.id) {
// lazy load view
if (this.app.getPage(data.id) === null) {
jQuery.sap.log.info("now loading page '" + data.id + "'");
this.app.addPage(sap.ui.jsview(data.id, "sap.m.mvc." + data.id));
// Navigate to given page (include bindingContext)
this.app.to(data.id, data.data.context);
} else {
jQuery.sap.log.error("nav-to event cannot be processed. Invalid data: " + data);
navBackHandler : function() {
this.app.back();
Sorry i'm new to this.

Unable to set tooltip for item (sap.ui.core.Item)
sap.ui.core.Item does not have the property 'tooltip'. But it borrows 'tooltip' property and setTooltip( ), getTooltip( ) methods from sap.ui.core.Element.
Still, if I set the tooltip for item, it is not reflected. What might be wrong?
Consider the following piece of code for example:
var item = new sap.ui.core.Item({text:'Item'});
item.setTooltip('tooltip');
var oCollection = new sap.ui.ux3.Collection({ items: item
var oCollectionInspector = new sap.ui.ux3.CollectionInspector({
'fitParent' : false,
'collections' : [
new sap.ui.ux3.Collection({
'title' : 'My Accounts',
'items' : [ item]
oCollectionInspector.placeAt('content');Tooltip is applied on the Item, but it seems Collection Inspector set its own tooltip for the Item. You can do something like this to set your own tooltip,
var item = new sap.ui.core.Item("myItem",{text:'Item'});
var oCollectionInspector = new sap.ui.ux3.CollectionInspector({
'fitParent' : false,
'collections' : [
new sap.ui.ux3.Collection({
'title' : 'My Accounts',
'items' : [ item]
oCollectionInspector.placeAt('content');
oCollectionInspector.onAfterRendering = function(){
sap.ui.ux3.CollectionInspector.prototype.onAfterRendering.apply(this,arguments);
$('#myItem').attr('title','My Tooltip'); -
When should the afterInit event fire for sap.ui.core.mvc.View ?
I am looking to execute a function once only after the onInit() method on a controller has run. I assumed (incorrectly apparently) that the afterInit event that is provided by sap.ui.core.mvc.View would be fired after the onInit() method, however it appears that it actually executes before the onInit method on the controller.
Is this the expected behavior ?
Regards,
TrevorHi Jason,
Yes, I had looked at that document, however it only covers the lifecycle methods of the controller, it does not mention the events that are fired. If you look at the https://openui5.hana.ondemand.com/#docs/api/symbols/sap.ui.core.mvc.View.html documentation you will see that there are four events fired. The one I was questioning was the afterInit event, because I assumed that it was fired after the onInit method of the controller, however that is not the case.

Hi,
I have configured SNC on NetWeaver 7.0 (ABAP+JAVA) System on Windows 2003 Server with MS-SQL 2005 Database.
After the SNC configuration restarted the Server but the JAVA Server process is going down with EXIT Code -11113. The SNC Configuration is working fine but JAVA is not running. SDM and dispatcher are in green but server process is going gray.
I have checked the log files under C:\usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log

SamHi,
Check with this note,
Note 791574 -
Also
Secure Storage for Application Specific Data
Applications or application components, deployed on the J2EE Engine, can save sensitive data
in encrypted form in a secure storage area in the J2EE Engineu2019s configuration database. The
data saved in this area is encrypted using a secret key that is created explicitly for the application
or service. The J2EE Engine uses the triple DES algorithm to perform the encryption.
You can use two approaches for storing and maintaining the encrypted data for the individual
applications or application components:
u2022 Centralized storage
With centralized storage, applications or application components use the Secure Storage
service on the J2EE Engine to encrypt and decrypt the data. This data is also stored in the
corresponding secure storage context on the J2EE Engine. You can control the
parameters of this secure storage area from the properties of the Configuration Manager.
For more information
u2022 Decentralized storage
With decentralized storage, the applications and application component maintain their own
storage area for the encrypted data. They only uses the Secure Storage service on the
J2EE Engine to retrieve the key, which is necessary to encrypt and decrypt the data.

Change User password not working in SAP ME 6.0
Hi,
In SAP ME 6.0 SP01 6.0.1.0 Counter 40, the activity "Change User Password" does not work for me or any other user.
The activity window (Netweaver) shows, but in the top it says "An error occurred - contact system administrator".
This is the output from the default trace file. Seems my user is not authorized, but where do I set this authorization?

Johan

Hi guys,
BE SURE TO READ THE UPDATE BELOW....
I have searched both Google and the Forums, but cannot find anything on this one. Here is the history and both errors:
Recently upgraded to new machines with an upgrade to Windows 7 from XP prof. I personally installed the CS3 (web premium, upgraded from previous version) and all went well. The only change was that I did not install all of the previous versions of Dreamweaver, like I had on my old PC. I opened DW, pulled in all of my websites from the backup (work as a web developer/graphics designer) and all worked fine.
I left for Christmas vacation, remoted in a few times, so I know my laptop was fine, never lost power, etc., but never did have to open DW during that time.
Got back this week, had to make a change to a page that contains the XMLFlashSlideshow (v3). Opened Dreamweaver and got the first of two errors: "MFC70.DLL is Missing" The message indicated a reinstall would take care of the problem. I clicked ok, and then I got this error message:
While executing onLoad in AQWLoad.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occured:
At line 60 of file "C:/Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS3\Configuration\Startup\..\Shared\AQW\AQW.js": TypeError:AdvancedQueryWizard.preload is not a function
When I clicked OK, the message appeared again immediately. I clicked ok again, and Dreamweaver began to open.
I figured I could make the change and troubleshoot after, but when I went in, I could not longer see the box I normally see to click on to edit for the slideshow. These error messages occur every time I open Dreamweaver, even after a reinstall. I did not have this page, nor even this site as the default when first opening DW when the errors first occurred.
UPDATE: These errors do not seem to occur the first time Dreamweaver is run, be do occur each time afterwards.
I have also noticed that I cannot print from Word 2007 to the Adobe printer driver as I always have. Not sure if that is related or not.
Any ideas, anyone else run into this?
Thanks for anything help you can send my way.
Thanks,
SuzanneFor the JS error: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405604.html
If mfc70.dll is really missing, that is a core Windows file. If you need to fix that you need to have your Windows 7 disc ready and run "sfc /scannow" in the command prompt. You may need your Windows 7 if the file cannot be repaired and has to be restored. This can affect all aspects of your system and not just Dreamweaver if there is really a problem there.
The Word -> Adobe Printer is another issue. You may want to post that in the Acrobat forums along with the version of Acrobat Professional you are using.
