Undeployment hangs. JMS issue??

Hi All,
I'm facing an issue that undeployment through WLST hangs. The application module is removed from the console, But still it is not coming out of WLST. I could see that the thread is waiting on the task to complete, but it never comes out. Below is the thread message.

Can anyone Help on this?

I'm sorry I'm resurrecting an ancient thread, but I think I've got the same issue.
Using WL 10.3.6 on JDK_1.7.0_40.
Any deployment operation on my webapp (be it "undeploy", "deploy") does the job, but then hangs and never exists (regardless whether it's invoked via weblogic.Deployer, or WLST console).

  • E1200 - Hang time issues

    The E1200 is a very nice router for the price. The range of features is solid and the install is very easy. I would have given it a clean 5 stars but since install I've been having hang time issues where for about 8-10 seconds the internet connection will completely die out via the router, it doesn't happen through the modem. Firmware has been updated, settings combed through.. Haven't found the reason behind it. All in all it's solid and this is probably more of an issue I'm missing but until I find it I will leave the review as-is. Happy shopping.

    This was my post via amazon after purchasing this router. I'm actually debating returning it as the problem is still occurring no matter what settings I run on.

  • ICal Print List Hang / Font Issue / Sync Problems...

    Okay, here's a couple issues all wrapped up into one thread/post - reason is cause I suspect they may all be tied together somehow, but am not sure.
    Sync Problems...
    Regarding the Syncing problems, you can find an ongoing thread about @ http://forums.markspace.com/viewtopic.php?t=1632
    In short, some of us are having issues with events syncing to our Palm to the wrong timezone, causing them to be an hour off (usually within the new & old DST date change). Yes, all the usual fixes have been tried - pls read the thread noting "adairnet" and ymatto" postings.
    Also, in addition to this time issue, I have iCal events that I've deleted in iCal still show up on the Palm after one-way syncing!
    Print List Hang...
    Every week I print a "list" of events from a certain calendar. The past couple weeks I noticed some lines in the notes field printing on top of each other. Twas odd indeed, but I hadn't had the time to look into the reason. Then this week I was going thru my usual printing proceedure and now iCal locks up, hangs up, crashes, forcing me to force-quit the program. It's usually after I extend the dates beyond 2 or 3 days, but I've not been able to find a consistency. I've redone events thinking they were corrupt with no success.
    Font Problems...
    After the Print List issue above, I opened my Console program to see if it was reporting anything. At first it indicated that it could not find Helvetica Neue and would substitute it for Helvetica. This put me in touch with some font corruption - so I got rid of those bad fonts and activated Helvetica Neue which got rid of that message. But made me wonder if there are more font problems causing the print hanging & syncing problems. I have FontAgent Pro and do have some font issues that I'm trying to work out.
    But the Console is displaying another string of messages every time the Print List proceedure hangs up which I cannot figure out...
    2007-04-24 16:24:54.151 iCal[28975] NSATSGlyphStorage inconsistency. Cannot find run storage for character range {138 67} for CTRun 0xDBE87D0. Ignoring the run...

For apps linked on Tiger this will raise an exception. For earlier apps it will produce this one-time warning and continue with existing behavior (which is undefined).
    2007-04-24 16:24:55.176 iCal[28975] * NSThread: ignoring exception '* -[NSMutableStringProxyForMutableAttributedString replaceOccurrencesOfString:withString:options:range:]: Range or index out of bounds' that raised during delayed perform of target 0xdde58d0 and selector 'renderPreview'
    So, all of this is causing me to wonder if the iCal or SyncServices database is corrupt. Is there a way to dig into the iCal db and check for corruption &/or fix it?
    Or does anybody have any further suggestions on any of these issues?
    thanx.jason.

    RedKamel,
    The SyncServices folder should be avoided like "a swarm of bees". This article discusses some of the issues that can arise when the SyncServices folder is deleted or modified:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301920
    Data loss and Data corruption can result from deleting or modifying the SyncServices folder, and that data loss or corruption can be propogated to devices, .Mac, and other applications that sync with SyncServices.
    If you have isolated an issue with the other steps in your post, I would recomend speaking with AppleCare before removing that folder.
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.

  • Windows 8.1 Hanging / performance issue

    Hi ,
    Today i clean install using windows 8.1 and after that i am facing lot of issues. like,.
    1. Installation itself very slow. ( extracting files took almost 30 mins )
    2. After successfully installed . ( by clicking any icons it hangs for 2-5 seconds ) then it responds.
    3. whenever i typing in notepad or over internet explorer its letters are getting missed out due to hanging issue.
    4. even i re downloaded the win8.1 pro iso , tried on different handrive, but still result is same ( handing ).
    5. but i having issue only with this 8.1 where i am already using windows 8 pro without any issue on my pc
    6. configuration of my pc ( Core to Quad processor ) with 4.5 TB  hardrive.
    Need suggestion how do i fix this issue.

    NM
    To find what is causing your computer to use more CPU than it normally does you need to run this.
    Install the WPT (windows Performance Toolkit) http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/4847.install-the-windows-performance-toolkit-wpt.aspx  ,
    Open a CMD prompt with administrative rights (right click it>run as admin) and run this command for 60 secs to capture the high cpu usage:
    xperf -on latency -stackwalk profile -buffersize 1024 -MaxFile 256 -FileMode Circular && timeout -1 && xperf -d cpuusage.etl
    The trace will run and give you a warning then revert to a C:\ prompt
    The log will be in C:\windows\system32.
    It should be called cpuusage.etl
    Please zip the file and upload it to skydrive (or another file sharing service) and put a link to it in your next post.

  • JMS issues when migration from weblogic 9.2 to 10.3.5

    We are facing some issues when migration from weblogic 9.2 to 10.3.5
    In  weblogic 9.2 :_
    BMP Entity EJBs used in our project are read-only in nature using entity cache, below is the configuration details
    <!DOCTYPE weblogic-ejb-jar PUBLIC "-//BEA Systems, Inc.//DTD WebLogic 6.0.0 EJB//EN" "http://www.bea.com/servers/wls600/dtd/weblogic-ejb-jar.dtd">

    </entity-cache>
    Entity beans will get refreshed using the JMS messges. with in the MDB descriptor files(weblogic-ejb-jar.xml) we are using the provider URL directly and XA enabled connection factory is set to false.
    migration to Weblogic 10.3.5_
    With the same configurations MDB are not not getting deployed in weblogic 10 with some exception, so we removed the provider URL from weblogic-ejb-jar.xml and changed the JMS configuration to use foreign JMS and XA enable connection factory is set to true. Now when ever the JMS message is triggered Entity bean is not getting refreshed with the updated values. i.e values are stale.
    Can some one look into this and provide your inputs to resolve this issue.

    I think the Entity bean refresh problem appears to be unrelated to MDBs. The MDB is only responsible for getting the message to your application (which in turn interacts with Entity beans). You might want to try posting your question to an EJB newsgroup.

  • Netweaver JMS issues

    I have a stand alone enterprise java application (not an EJB) that currently runs on several servers (one application per server).  This application allows us to do parellel processing for performance reasons.  Another important distinction is that we use a JMS Point-to-Point model with multiple consumers receiving messages off a single queue.  The application is basically a JMS asynchronous message consumer, meaning it implements the javax.jms.MessageListener interface so it has the onMessage method.
    Currently I have been using JBoss 4.0 as our JMS Provider.  I have had no issues for awhile now with multiple consumers receiving messages off a single queue.  Recently, I have been asked to move to use Netweaver's JMS provider.  I was successful in changing the configurations and sending and receiving messages using the Netweaver JMS provider.  However, it appears that I cannot get multiple consumers to receive messages off a single queue.  I can successfully launch off several of our applications on several servers all listening to the single queue and I can also put multiple messages into that single queue.  However, it appears that only one message consumer can receive a message off the single queue at one time (all the other message consumers seem to wait until the one message is done processing).
    Again, I changed the configurations back to JBoss and everything worked fine (I also did it for OpenJMS and it worked as well).  My quess is that I either did not setup something correctly or I need to make some kind of administative or jms setting.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Just a side note.  If I poll for messages on the single queue instead of using the onMessage() method with multiple message consumers I am able to run parellel processes.

    We are talking P2P with load balancing and scaling for throughput. Moving this to a pub/sub is a bad performance move as typically pub/sub is more time and resource intensive than P2P.
    Just make sure that in your JNDI definition your queue has been marked as shareable. As the JMS spec goes it does not help if the provider side of the queue has the queue marked as not shared. As well if the app reading from the queue through the listener has it opened in exclusive mode all the others are waiting.
    This means some investigation may be needed.
    A) JNDI verify JMSDestination is defined as shareable
    b) programming wise verify that putting the listener to the queue does not make the mode opened as exclusive.
    Typically you would have implemented an MDB. You need to check the number of instances that you have defined for the MDB. As well you may define the same destination with multiple JNDI names and thus set different MDBs on the same queue (but same MDB class).
    There is a world of solutions out there. Pick the one that works for you
    Enjoy

    SAP's implementation of JMS persistence is through a Database. Make sure locking happens at the record level and not at the page level.

  • Soap over JMS issue

    Hi,
    I have following issue..
    Following is the architecture:-
    System1----->MQ--->OSB----->System2
    Now SYSTEM1 is a java client, and OSB have a SOAP proxy service...
    Now i m not able to figure out how to make this senario work???
    How can a Java Client post a Soap Msg on MQ???

    Hey thanks for the Reply..but i think i ur not getting my problem...
    I have OSB proxy say "CardProxy" and i had a java client that invoke tht Proxy...and it works...
    The Problem is :-
    now There is a MQ(or it can be JMS) between Java client and OSB proxy.
    What i am thinking is If i post a complete soap Envelope on Queue..i will have a "JMS proxy" that will read it from Queue and give it to "CardProxy"...
    The main Issue is How do i form this "soap envelope"...I m trying using axis but not able to do it.
    ???Hope u get my Issue...

  • JMS Issues!

    h1. {color:#000000}Hi Guys, {color}
    We are having issues when using multiple JMS queues and Message DrivenBeans. Its Glassfish application server, version 2. The way it currently works is we create some objects add add them to the first JMS queue. The queue destination is a message driven bean when receives the message acknoladges it and then creates several new objects and adds them to another queue when is received by another message driven bean. This means that objects recevied on the first quest generally create 10 - 20 new objects (the first object is normally a URI to a web resource of some kind). The receiver then will create 10 -20 new objects that are downloaded from a server. Each of these objects are then added to a separate queue.
    All the functionality of sending messages is all contained in the code below:
    private QueueConnectionFactory pconnectionFactory = null;
    private Queue pqueue = null;
    private QueueConnection queueConnection = null;
    private QueueSession queueSession = null;
    private QueueSender queueSender = null;
    private Queue replyTo = null;
    private boolean isQueueOpen = false;
        *  Sends a JMS object message, if exception occurs, a new connection is started.
         public void sendJMSMessage(Serializable object)     {
              log.trace("JMSProvider:Sending JMS object message");
              try
                   trySendJMSMessage(object);
              } catch(JMSException jmsException) {
                   log.trace("JMSException caught when sending message... attempting to reopen connection");
                   log.trace(jmsException);
                   closeJms();
                   openOnce();
                   sendJMSMessage(object);
         private void trySendJMSMessage(Serializable object) throws JMSException {
              ObjectMessage objMsg = queueSession.createObjectMessage(object);
              objMsg.setJMSExpiration(0);
             if (replyTo != null)
                  objMsg.setJMSReplyTo(replyTo);
             queueSender.send(objMsg);
         private void openJms() throws JMSException {
              isQueueOpen = true;
              log.trace("JMSProvider: Opening JMS connection");
             queueConnection = pconnectionFactory.createQueueConnection();
            queueSession = queueConnection.createQueueSession(false, Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
            queueSender = queueSession.createSender(pqueue);
            replyTo = null;
         private void closeJms() {
             isQueueOpen = false;
              log.trace("JMSProvider: Closing JMS connection");
            if (queueConnection != null) {
                try {
                    queueConnection.close();
                } catch (JMSException e) {
                     log.trace("JmsProvider: JMSExcetion caught when closeing JMS Connection");
                queueConnection = null;
         }Iv not used jms before. The first problem that I notice is if I try to send an object message and then imediatly close the connection, when the server is handling large loads of data. I receive messages in the log stating that the connection pool on the server has reached its limit. The JMS connections are P2P and not topic based. There is a single producer and a single consumer, however its on a cluseterd server, meaning multiple threads. Knowning this, we trying not to close queue connections when sending messages and try and use the same queue to send all message to the desired destination using one queue. The problem is that a no point to we know howmany objects we are going to be processing so we do not know at what point to close the connections.
    As we cannot close the connections, it is left up to the garbage collected to destroy the connections, this also produces warnings in the log file stating that a connection has been destoyed on an active connection.
    The last problem that I we have is that occassionaly I receive an XAException. The exception is listed below in the next post:

    Thanks Dan

    This isn't much information to go on. Some thoughts:
    Is your consumer app throwing exceptions or otherwise somehow failing to acknowledge/commit its received messages?
    Are there any messages in the server logs?
    Have you tried looking at your thread dumps?
    I recommend starting your investigation by examining the message count statistics for each destination and each subscriber.
    Also, in case you haven't done so already, I highly recommend configuring a quota on each JMS server.

  • Urgent JMS issue with SSL-enabled cluster

    Hello, dear All!
    We have deployed a SAP WebAS SP13 SSL-enabled cluster (2 servers) and face the following strange behaviour:
    When both servers are running our queue-based message driven beans (MDB EJBs) never get any messages.
    However, JMS topic subscriber threads (not implemented as MDBs) work fine on both servers and receive JMS broadcasts. As well web-initiated JMS queue browsing works fine.
    Then if only one (central) server is up, queue-based MDBs work fine and start receiving messages...
    If you know or guess what might be an issue it would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you and best regards,
    -Yuri

    Hi!
    Yes, I solved this problem. You have to set your certificate to the LDAP server and get SSL enabled. You should also add same certificate to your jdk's cacerts file. That should help. :)

  • JavaWord article comparing J2EE vendor's clustering ( When will the JMS issue be addressed? )

    A must read.

              However, if you compare the "single point of failure" of all the vendors

    A lot of the JMS limitations were brought up during 6.0 beta. Supposedly
              there are plans to address these particular concerns in an upcoming version
              (not 6.0).

  • JMS Issue

    Hi,
    I recently set up the JMS in weblogic 9.2(Clustered environment(2 Servers)). I Configured the JMS Server in Server1 and created the JMS queues targetted to both servers.
    1. Server2 is using the JMS Sever which is configured in server1 by using the jndi look up to publish the OBA queue.
    2. Once the server is started, Using Server2 I am able to publish the messages.
    3. Over the period may be after 2 days from the server start, I am getting the below error
    "[JMSClientExceptions:055079]Must provide destination to send to error. "
    I am not sure what is happening and how the jndi name was not resolved which initially worked .
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Unable to resolve 'jms.prodJMS
    Please help me to resolve this issue, Thanks in advance

    The answer is likely simply that the messages are accumulating in durable subscriptions that your MDBs have created, or that you are using a distributed topic. Messages are cached in their durable subscriptions until the associated MDB restarts and consumes them.
    If you are using a non-distributed topic, and don't want messages to accumulate for inactive subscribers, then don't use durable subscriptions.
    If you are using a distributed topic, messages will accumulate on the members that are active even if there are no durable subscriptions, as these messages are waiting to be forwarded to the inactive members as soon as the inactive members are restarted. If you don't want such messages to accumulate, then consider setting expiration times for the messages. Expiration times can be set programmatically by the publisher via the standard JMS API, or can be set via configuration on the destination.

    Hi ,
    Would you be able to explain what are you trying to do , what is failing along with tha stack trace please?
    Presumably, you have got JMS modules -> JMS Topic created and all assigned/targetted to the Managed server instances?  Are you having trouble connecting/subscribing to that topic from your client code? if so, where does your client code execute from .. I mean is that on the same host as weblogic server ?
    from the host that has your client code - try ping / nslookup /tracert to weblogic host and see if thats resolved in the first place.

  • IPod crash/hang/pause issues.

    I've got a 160GB iPod Classic, running current software (1.1.2), formatted Windows.
    Operating System running iTunes is Windows 8 x64, iTunes is 11.0.4.4 (x64),
    I regularly connect it to a Pioneer Avic Z130BT.
    I have regular issues with the iPod where it will hang, requiring a restart, or will randomly crash/reboot.  I've also seen some issues where it'll pause briefly during playback of a track.
    I've attempted to obtain crash logs, but they don't appear to sync to my desktop, c:\users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Logs simply has some "asl.<date>.log" files, no directory for my device or anything like that.
    Is there a different location that logs are located under Windows 8?  Is there a way I can ensure I'm forcing the logs to propagate so I can try to view them?
    Does anyone have any suggestions as to why I might be seeing the above issues?

    Apple seems to have applied a workaround for the video sleep issue in the iPod Classic 1.0.2 update.
    Previously, when playing back video to a TV from an iPod Classic, pausing and allowing it to go to sleep would kick you out to the top level menu screen when attempting to resume. This was contrary to both how the 5G iPods did it, and the iPod Classic itself does it when viewing on it’s internal screen, which simply allow you to resume your video from where you left off.
    Now, when the iPod goes to "sleep" (at approx. 2mins 13secs), the battery indicator appears on the iPod screen, but it continues to display the paused video on the TV screen. Hitting play again allows it to resume your video where you left off.
    I suppose that this new method could be a concern to those of you worried about burn-in on LCD and Plasmas (video paused and still displaying after 15 + mins), but I have to say that this preferable to being kicked off to the main menu and having to scroll through the iPod itself to start your video back up.
    Also, TV Out: OFF/ON/ASK is now accessible without having to attach it to an Apple dock, as it was with the 5.5G.

  • Hardware or Software Problem?? "Hang" Time issue

    I have no definitive answer or resolution thus far for this
    problem in the forums and wanted to re-summarize it here, one more time, to see if anyone has
    any other suggestions before i toss in the towel on self-repair efforts and invest in Apple Service.
    Problem:
    On a dual MDD G4 1.25, which i normally boot/use OS 9 on)
    there is now a system 'hang time' of anywhere from 15-25 secs. in various circumstances including:
    On boot-up, just after the Finder has loaded, I can move the mouse cursor but the Mac won't respond to clicks for up to 15-20 secs. Then, the "buffered clicks" get executed at once.
    This hang time also occurs within certain applications, and on startup of IE Explorer there is an abnormal delay between the Open command and completion of startup cycle(opening to Home Page).
    At first it appears a system freeze, but then ultimately system interactivity resumes eventually.
    This machine is on a high-end Tripp-Lite power conditioner in a recording studio.
    The problem seemed to begin after a day where i had multiple power fluctuations/outages requiring cold reboot several times.
    I have swapped out both 512 Dimms and tried running with each separately and the problem remained.
    TechTools has been run, OSX Permission Repairs run/re-run..
    and i've done an OS 9-only "restore/reinstall" of that
    System. I also ran a defragmentation off of techtools.
    Memory 'tested' as okay.
    My internal HD is a 160g, one partition.
    Since the problem occurs within OS 9 and i did reinstall that system, i would tend to think that rules out the System.
    I can't detect any similar problem under OSX!
    Things tried that didn't resolve it:
    Emptying Servers Folder in the System Folder. Desktop Rebuild, PRAM/NVRAM resets, VM Off, Extensions OFF restart, (no change), Startup Items Folder/Prefs Folder EMPTIED and restart; no change. All Devices (USB/Firewire & Cable Modem, Keyboard/Mouse) disconnected/Restart; no change.
    MemTest run on Dimms; Reported as OK.
    Is there any point in reinstalling Sys software given all
    this, or any ideas on what else to try?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    A. Invest in a UPS to go with your line conditioner.
    B. Run Apple Hardware Test
    C. PMU reset and/or reset-nvram in Open Firmware.<<
    Hi and Thanks. Yes a UPS is on order.
    As to resolving the existing problem, I have performed
    Steps B and C. The problem was unchanged.
    <div class="jive-quote">Are you working off one drive? two? same bus or separate?<<</div>
    One 160g drive (same bus, one large partition).
    Might want to zero your drives, even invest in a couple new drives (Hitachi T7K250 160GBs $72 each OWC but out of stock) or something similar. Even Maxtor 300GB 16MB cache are nice.<<</div>
    So this could in fact be symptomatic of a damaged HD?
    This is the major step I have not taken as of yet. Reason
    being, given that OSX seems to function without issues,
    I questioned why OS 9 would behave erratically on the same
    HD.
    If memtest says RAM is ok, that helps. Best test for RAM there is for consumers.<<</div>
    Yes, a couple of memtest tests have "okayed" the Dimms.
    You've reinstalled programs from install disks?
    Tried with fresh preferences?<<
    Applications/Programs have NOT been reinstalled because it
    does not seem to be appliation-related. The problem appears on boot-up with the new 'hang' time after desktop appears, per previous description. It manifests with similar delayed processing periods in certain applications also. Hence I
    surmise it to be Hardware or System vs application-specific.
    Prefs have been replaced by way of trashing ALL prefs from the original System Prefs folder at the time System 9 was
    reinstalled and subsequently using a Temp-Prefs folder to
    remove them all and reboot. With NO prefs, the identical
    problem appeared during the startup completion process.
    Latest version of TTP for Classic OS 9? for OS X? (4.5.1 beta is pretty good). <<</div>
    Yes, using the latest version of Tech Tools and it has been
    run on the OSX application but there is no feature (that I
    found) within TTP that allows one to choose ONLY the System 9 Folder (not on TechTools 4+ versions). It boots only as,
    and in, OSX.

  • Update to 10.6.8 - system hang (mouse issue) after resume from sleep

    I am on older
    MacBook Pro3.1
    Intel Core 2 Duo
    2.6GHz
    Run on 10.6.8 almost flawelessly. Shortly after upgrade to 10.6.8 system started to hang periodically after resuming from sleep. Symptoms are that it stops responding to mouse (be it touch pad or USB mouse). Keyboard seems to be ok but system doesn't seem to be fully functional. I am able to ssh from the other computer and 'shutdown -r now' after reboot system seem to be ok until next resume from sleep. What interesting though is that this problem newer manifests then I am using external monitor.

    Found problem. It was due to magic mouse that I left on. I carry this mouse in the laptop bag but rarely use it. Last time I used it (around the same time I install the update) I left it on in the bag. It was apparently disconnecting/connecting on its own and by some reason sometimes was breaking touch pad and other usb mouse connected to laptop, as soon as I switched magic mouse off broblem was fixed
