Understanding the Eclipse plugin

I've been trying to get Eclipse set up and running using the Kodo
mappingtool. I'm getting in trouble with a JDK conflict. When installing
Eclipse it installed using the 1.3 JRE courtesy of Oracle. I realised
my mistake later on and installed a 1.4 SDK as well. I changed my
settings in Eclipse under Java/Installed JREs to point to the new 1.4
SDK directory. Now I'm getting ClassNotFoundExceptions for
java.sql.SavePoint which is new in 1.4. Does Eclipse internally somehow
still work with the 1.3 JRE? Is that also the JRE the Kodo plugin
launches from?
I could really use some help on understanding the plugin concept of
Eclipse.
Thanks in advance,
Martin van Dijken

Hehe!
Right on the money again Stephen:) I've finally got my Eclipse setup so
that I can actually refresh my schema from it. PHEW! Thanks a bundle!

specific JVM.

  • Enhancing with the eclipse plugin

Using the eclipse plugin, I include the enhancer within my build process.
This seems to enhance the compiled classes that are in the output folder

Is there any way to make the enhancer get the source classes from the

I need both the enhanced and unenhanced versions of the classes.

Not at this time. For such complex build processes we recommend using Ant.

  • Trying to understand the SubBass plugin...

    Hi,
I'm experimenting with applying the SubBass plugin to kick drum tracks. Basically what I'm trying to achieve is the addition of some lower end thump (30-40hz) to kick drums that I've recorded that have a fundamental around 60-70hz.
There are a few things I don't understand though. First, I'm confused as to why there is a "High" and "Low." Why are there two? And though each High and Low have their own 'center' there is only the one slider that says "Freq. Mix." What does that slider do since you center both the High and low anywhere in the spectrum?
What do I do if, for example, I have a kick track that I recorded and the fundamental of the kick was 65hz and I want to add a 33hz (C1) tone under the kick? Do I 'center' the low end on 33hz or do I set the "Freq. Mix" to 33hz?
And one more question for now, what does one do with the "High?"
    TIA!

Have you read the manual for this plugin?
It explains what High and Low refer to, and of course all the other parameters.

  • Eclipse plugins problem

    Hi guys,
I just downloaded Eclipse, ran it and worked fine. But when I "installed" (simply copy of the files in the Eclipse dir) the WTP plugin, nothing happend. By the screenshots of a tutorial I understand that there should appear new options for creating specific types of projects. But that didn't happen. Anyway, the plugin appear in the list of installed plugins.
I have searched the Internet for instructions on how to install the plugins but all I got was info on how to update them from online sources.
So, can someone help with hints on how to install/check the instalations of the Eclipse plugins? Locations of tutorials/info on the Internet?
    Kind regards,

I am unable to install the Eclipse Plugin for Azure.  I have Eclipse Indigo and have installed the Azure SDK 2.3.  When I try to add the site http://dl.msopentech.com/eclipse in the Install New Software window I get an authentication pop-up.
When I try my Microsoft ID it fails authentication.  The instructions do not mention any authentication.  What should I put in here?

    Hi,
This plugin requires Azure SDK 2.3. This can be downloaded using the Web Platform Installer (WebPI) at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=252838. However, if you don’t have it installed, when you create your first Azure deployment project, the plugin will automatically install
    Azure SDK 2.3.
Also, you could download the sdk from GitHub (https://github.com/MSOpenTech/WindowsAzureToolkitForEclipseWithJava ) and manually install . And you could refer to this blog
    (http://java.interoperabilitybridges.com/cloud ).
    Please try it.

  • Crystal Reports for Eclipse plugin and CR XI server

I have a software requirement in which I need to support both internal (CR Eclipse plugin using the report viewer, not sure what the real name of this is) along with external (CR XI server) reporting.  In other words, I should be able to display a report (.rpt) that exists on my local app server along with one that exists on the CR XI server.  My question is this:
So I have both sets of jar libraries (eclipse plugin and XI server) and I see that some of the them are overlapping (some of the jars have the same name).  For the ones that overlap, should I choose the ecilipse plugin or XI server ones...?
One example I found is that the eclipse plugin rasapp.jar contains the POJOResultSetHelper class whereas the rasapp.jar from the XI server does not.  In this case, I presume I should use the eclipse version, right?
    Thanks for your help!
    Louis

    Hello Louis,
-If you are using latest version of CR Eclipse plugin using the report viewer, then I would recommend going for JAR files of this eclipse plugin than that of CR XI Server.
-The only reason being Eclipse plugin will give you most updated JAR files.
-Before using JAR files from Eclipse plugin, I would suggest you to update your present JAR files to latest available JAR files.
This can be done through Eclipse using update option.
And once you update them, you can use those JARs.
    Thanks,

  • Flex 3.2 & 3.3 Framework Issue w/ Eclipse Plugin

    Hey Guys,
I'm having an issue with using the 3.2 and 3.3 frameworks with the eclipse plugin (not an issue with the stand alone flex builder) (eclipse v3.3.2).  Pretty much everything works but the code hinting and auto importing doesn't work on some items.  For example anything in the "flash" package structure (ie: Event) will not import, and even worse within actionscript files, if the imports are manually typed out, the next time it does auto import something it'll actually run clean up on the file and delete the manually typed imports.  Also when typing out in mxml certain components, for example an mx:Button, the code hinting will not recognize certain attribues such as "click".  At compile time all is well and works fine as long as everything is manually typed in there.  Of course to really be an efficient coder manually typing and retyping certain imports over and over is not the answer.
    Thanks in advance!
    ~Jamie

I've been using the FB Eclipse plugin (with Eclipse 3.4 and SDK 3.2.0) quite a bit and haven't had this problem at all, so I'm just taking a stab in the dark here to try to help.  It sounds to me like there might be an incorrect setting in your Flex Build Path properties or something related.  Make sure your project has the correct Flex SDK selected in the Library path, and make sure all the .swc files are showing up underneath it.  In particular, look for playerglobal.swc (that's the file that contains e.g. flash.events.Event).
If that doesn't help, you really need to provide a little more information in your question, like:
What have you already tried doing to fix the problem?  (For example, have you completely uninstalled and then reinstalled the Flex Builder Plugin since switching SDKs?  I didn't need to do this the last time I upgraded the SDK, but I'd say it's worth a try, since the installation process is pretty painless.)
Have you changed any of the Flex settings in Eclipse?
If you're working with a project you created previously, have you tried creating a brand new Flex project in Eclipse to see if the problem persists in a new project?

  • [ANNOUNCE]: myWL eclipse plugin 1.0.11 released

myWL plugin 1.0.11 released, check the project's site
    http://mywl.sourceforge.net for more information.
Version 1.0.11 brings full WL6.1 support together with a new feature which
allows WL's CMP generated SQL statements to be logged and monitored.
    Check the 1.0.11 Release Log:
The forthnet-eclipse-plugins team is pleased to announce the FORTHnet
    WebLogic
    Server Eclipse Plugin 1.0.11 release!
    http://mywl.sourceforge.net/
An Eclipse 3.0 compatible plugin which allows BEA's WebLogic Server (6.1,
    7.1
and 8.1) to be managed from within eclipse and thus easily debug deployed
    J2EE
    applications in BEA.
    Changes in this version include:
    New Features:
o A new feature has been added which enables, if configured to do so from
myWL's WebLogic preferences page, logging of all CMP generated SQL
statements. This is a great aid for the developer, which can now monitor
WL's generated SQL statements for finders, select methods, etc. This
feature has been tested and it is known to work with WL 8.1. Older versions
of WL may support this feature, but no testing has been made.
    Fixed bugs:
o When launching WL 6.1, JVM's working dir was being incorrectly set.
o WL 6.1 launcher didn't respect user's defined JVM options.
o WL 6.1 launcher didn't respect user's defined JNI library path.
    Changes:
o WL 6.1 launcher now by default adds to the server's boot classpath the
    WL's
home. This eliminates the need to specify the WL's home dir in the plugin's
    Classpath Preferences page.
o WL 6.1 launcher specifies by default the java security policy as defined
    in
    the WL_HOME/lib/weblogic.policy file.
o WL 7.1 launcher specifies by default the java security policy as defined
    in
    the WL_HOME/lib/weblogic.policy file.
    Have fun!
