Unexpected Essbase Error 1030100

Hi
Installed Essbase on a new server and am getting the below error while running a Maxl Statement
Error 1030100 : Cannot Open File: [\\loclahost\essbase\ARSales\PerD.txt]
Maxl Statement: import database 'AR_Sales'.'Sales' dimensions from data_file '\\\localhost\Essbase\bcpfiles\ARsales\PerD.txt' using rules_file '\\\localhost\Essbase\app\AR_Sales\Sales\PerDCM.rul' on error write to '\\\localhost\Essbase\log\ARsales\PerD.err';
The statement works fine on existing Essbase server.
Please advise

Sounds like maybe essbase can't access the file because it can't see the share so it doesn't know where the file is, maybe the account that is running error cannot access the share.
Not sure why you want to access a local file using a share could you not just put in the full path?

and also in log file I getting message like:
\\Column 1 Ignored; No DimBuild Dimension (3325)
\\Column 3 - Invalid Dimension
So could you tell me why I getting this types of error.
what is the meaning of log file information i.e. "Invalid dimension."

Hi,
As per the error message, there was a mismatch of the dimension tagging or incorrect rules. Did you try to build the dimension/members using EAS Console?
Take a simple sources file and rules file and re-build the dimension.
You can try the following:
1. Launch EAS Console and login using Administrative user credentials
2. Connect to Essbase Server using administrative user credentials
3. Create a test Application & Database say TestApp & TestDb
4. Open the outline in the edit mode and create a dimension "Measures"
5. Open the notepad and Create a source file as:
Profit Margin Sales
Profit Margin COGS
Save the file in the c:\ drive as Sales.txt
6. In EAS Console, right-click on database and select create Rules File and import the Source file
7. Set the Field Properties.
8. Build the dimension and check if the members are added to the Measures dimension
9. Delete the members under Measures and then try the MaxL Script.

Unexpected Essbase error 1030818

Hi All,
I am able to login into EAS and when try to connect to Essbase server, i get the error:
Error: 103: Unexpected Essbase error 1030818
Error: 1042006: Network error [10013]: Failed to connect to [macinename:1423]
Error: 1030818: Login failed. Please check if server and port are correct. If you received timeout or handshake failure, please check if you tried to connect to secure port without secure keyword or clear port with secure keyword.
I checked the Essbase. log as well as Essbase_ODL.log. All seems good
I checked the Essbase status and can see Essbase.exe running in process list. Similarly when I check OPMN status, I get EssbaseAgent is active.
Probably, Essbase was shutdown abnormally when I directly shutdown my laptop without stopping the services.
I also tried replacing Essbase.sec with Essbase.bak, Essbase.bak_preUPM , Essbase.bak_postUPM but get the same error.
When i try to login using Maxl, I get the error:
ERROR - 103 - Unexpected Essbase error 1051293.
ERROR - 1051293 - Login fails due to invalid login credentials.

Thanks. I was able to find out the solution for this.
On replacing the Essbase security file, the credentials for admin user is no longer valid which i provided during installation. In that case the admin/password works.
I was able to connect to essbase using EAS and then followed the following steps:
1. Login to Shared Services and delete the EssbaseCluster -1 under Applications
2. Externalize security from EAS to change it to shared services mode
3. Restart the services once.
It worked !!!

Unexpected Essbase Error 1090004

I'm trying to Import a Level 0 Export back into Essbase (as a DR test). I'm getting an error:
"Unable to OPen File [F:\Export.txt]"
"Unexpected Essbase error 1090004"
Can someone give me any pointers here? The export was from the same system yesterday, just trying to re-import it.

Wow! That was a lot of replies!^^^Pretty good, isn't it, especially since the service is free. :)
I don't think the missing .txt should make a difference, but you could change it for giggles. You could stick that file on your client (yes, it will go from your client to EAS, and from EAS to Essbase, so an extra step) and load data -- I've done that.
I seem to remember that EAS' export function writes to the app directory (EssbaseServer\App seems to move around like a pingpong ball depending on release and used to be called Essbase\App) and that EAS can't see it -- clever, no? -- but that's the default MaxL/Esscmd export location. Have you tried copying the export file from that App directory to the target database folder? That should be all you need to do the load, even through EAS and you needn't move it to the EAS box at all.

but there is no such file("tempfile6051912_1.txt") in that file path

Am loading data with out selecting any rule file as it's the data file which is extracted from Prod envirement and loading into QA.
I have followed your procedure as i kept data file in (E:\Hyperion\products\Essbase\eas) ,because there no analyticalservices folder as we are using 11.1.1.3 version of hyperion.

Hi, I have got this error and can't figure out why, I load data on a daily basis without trouble, but for one day I have the error
"ERROR - 1003007 - Data Value [-2e-015] Encountered Before All Dimensions Selected, [2] Records Completed."
I have checked the rules file, which looks fine, I have checked the load file, that also looks OK. I have these measure headings in my load file
"Half_hour_desc" "Brand_Name" "Skill_group_desc" "Call_type_desc" "source_system_name" "day_desc" "Location"
"Call_type_desc" and "source_system_name" are set not to load against and I have them in the header instead. After this lot I then have a load of data.
These are the measures data
07:00" "CHOICE" "NCS" "No Call Type" "Connect" "28-Jun-09" "CEM100148"
then comes the data, which when a zero is converted to #MI
As I have said, the data for the days before and after are fine, but the 28th just wont load. I put an error file in my Maxl script, but it doesn't write anything out to say which line it is falling over on.

I have exported the data which is 2GB and I tried to load the data via EAS, i get the following error
Cannot open file: ....................................................................... (but I have the exported file in different location).
Unexpected error: 1030100.

You mean to say the file is on some network share or not on the machine where you have opened EAS?
The issue could that EAS is not able to access the path. (may due to rights or privileges issue)
Try copying the data file on the EAS machine & load the data. It should work.

OBIEE - ESSBASE ERROR - 1200467 - Error executing formula for [MDX query]

I have an issue on essbase with a query with 50 member filters.
The environment is OBIEE 11g over ESSBASE 11.1.2 with an ASO cube.
The user for essbase are with database access filters.
I have the following issue, OBIEE returns a query that filter 30 members and the query runs ok, but the same query with a 50 member filter returns the following error when i execute it on MAXL :
MAXL Error
ERROR - 1200467 - Error executing formula for [MDX query]: status code [1130203] in function [].
ERROR - 1241101 - Unexpected Essbase error 1200467.

Essbase Error 1051085

We have a situation where application admin users cannot open a FR report because of the error:
5201:Unexpected error creating query to datasource in createCubeViews:
Error: Error getting object[App\App_Name\Cube\Plan\SV\1051085 [1033]
Native: 1051085 Unrecognized resource id 1024 [Cannot get variable. Essbase Error(1051085): You do not have sufficient access to get this substitution variable.]]
The user has admin access to the application and server access to the essbase server.
This report uses a subvar which is created at the application level.

There is an indirect fix in Service Fix 11.1.1.3.516, Patch 11930933
The reason for this behavior is that when the ADM tries to retrieve substitution variables from Essbase, the APS driver uses some APIs that require Administrator privilege, but the native driver does not. ( i.e use APIs).
Solution
Workaround:
Amend the following line in the fr_global.properties:

Then Restart FR services and open the reports again.

AS2 Receiver Error: MIC not verified # unexpected-processing-error

When sending out a test message using Seeburger AS2 receiver channel I get the following error:
MIC not verified # unexpected-processing-error
So obviously this problem is related to digital signature I think? However I get the same error even if digital signature is deactivated in the communication channel.
Do you have any idea on this?

Hi MEW1,
Is the printer connected wirelessly or wired?
Go to Preferences and under categories go to > Convert to Pdf then select the Image Capture and then hit ok button.
Close Acrobat and then relaunch it and see if it helps you while you do scanning.

Hi,
we are using obiee 11.1.1.6 version with essbase 9.3.3 as a data source . when I try to run a report in obiee, I am getting the below error :
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: [nQSError: 96002] Essbase Error: Internal error: Set is too large to be processed. Set size exceeds 2^64 tuples (HY000)
but if I run the same query in excel add in, I am just getting 20 records . wondering why I am getting this error in obiee . Does any one encountered the same issue ?

Well if you want to export in I think you have to manually do it.
The workaround it to open your aperture library by right clicking it and show contents...
Then go into your project right click show contents...
In here there are sub folders on dates that the pictures were added to those projects. If you open the sub folder and search for your pictures name it should be in that main folder.
You can just copy it out as you would any normal file to any other location.
Voila you have manually exported out your file.
