Uninstall and install CS2

I have an intel imac osx 4.11 running tiger. I have Creative Suite 2, Indesign keeps freezing and Photoshop although not as bad. The automatic updater does not work now and tells me to reinstall.
I found CS2 in the applications and pressed uninstall, this took parts of the CS2 off but left all the rest (photoshop, indesign, illustrator, acrobat etc. I looked up on adobe site for uninstall of whole package and the first thing it says is to go into untilities - click on activity monitor, then select AHCRemind, and click Quit Process. My activity monitor when opened does not show any of this. So I could not proceed, I tried looking further for help in adobe and found somewhere else that said to 'safeboot' the computer before uninstalling and installing. I switched off the machine and tried this but all that happened was the screen stayed grey with the arrow twirling in the centre.
I thought to just drag photoshop, indesign etc into the trash and reinstall, but I notice further info says that before you can install you must empty trash.
I think I may have already lost information on the uninstall bit within the CS2 folder in applications. Can anyone please give me some basic directions to get this all back on form. Please please please

Follow the instructions on Adobe's site here to see how to completely remove the CS2 suite. You should then be able to properly reinstall it.
I am not sure what rosetta does I have some sort of feeling that it switches the mac back to os 9.5 or something. Is this correct, I have never noticed my mac changing at all?
Rosetta is a PowerPC emulator, not an OS emulator. Your Mac has an Intel CPU. Anything that is a G5 or earlier (until you reach the 680xx series) uses a PowerPC CPU. Since the machine code is different, a program compiled for a PowerPC chip will not run on an Intel chip. So for those applications that only contain PowerPC code, OS X emulates (fakes the existence of) a PowerPC CPU so the application can run. Since the entire CPU has to be emulated, the response for programs running in emulation will be slower than a program that is compiled to run on the CPU that is actually in your computer.

also go to to settings>general>reset and reset network settings... if that doesnt work settings>general>reset and reset all settings!
one of those shall work. The last step would be to restore your device (apple.com/support) HT1414

Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:
... and click OK. Quit and restart the QuickTime Player prior to checking to see if the settings change has had any effect.

trying to install itunes on win 8.1.  keep getting error apple application support not found.  asks me to uninstall and install itunes.  i tried several times and keep getting same error.

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR suitable for your PC (there's a 32-bit Windows version and a 64-bit Windows version):
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, see if iTunes will launch without the error now.
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • I just downloaded and installed the 64bit itunes, but I get an error 2 "Apple application support required to run Itunes, uninstall and install again" I did that twice and got the same result

I am a Windows 7 user and everything has been fine, but when I just tried to open itunes I got an Error 2 message. "Apple application support not found. uninstall and install itunes again." I have done that twice with the same result. this was the 64 bit version.

Check this Apple document out -> Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
Try following the steps in that article, which will have you remove iTunes and the other bundled Apple software. Then download and install iTunes 10.4.1 for Windows (64 bit).

Wiped our old iPad 1 clean, now can't install iOS from iTunes using laptop PC (W Vista).  iTunes does not "see" the device.  Tried uninstalling and installing iTunes on laptop.  Also bought new USB cable.  The iPad is charging, but that's all it does.  Just want to get it operating again for browsing and e-reading.

OK.  You merely erased the content and settings.  The IOS is still there.
If it has NEVER been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures.  From what you've already stated, my guess is that you'll end up with Recovery Mode described in the last paragraph.
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, read this.

  • When I try and install CS2 on OS Mountain Lion is saying I have a Non HFS drive

When I try and install CS2 on OS Mountain Lion is saying I have a Non HFS drive but I have!

    I doubt it as well.
You might however be able to migrate the install from another drive that it is already installed on.
What you can try is to partition another drive ebven an external one and install a previous version of the Mac OS and then install CS2 and see if you can migrate it to the 10.8 drive.
Even if you do do not be surprised if you cannot run it. zThe only other possibility would then see if there is a hack that will allow you to run earlier versions of certain software on the Mac OS 10.8.

  • From few days, it takes more than 30-60 minutes to open Firefox. I am on Vista. I have tried to reset firefox & have uninstalled and installed it again.

    Hi,
From few days, it takes more than 30-60 minutes to open Firefox on my laptop. I am on Vista & have got Anti Virus as well. I have already tried to reset firefox, have uninstalled and installed it again. My firefox version is 29. But nothing seems to help.
Can you please help in this regard, as I really do love using Firefox, but due to this issue, I am forced to use other browsers.
    Thanks
    Gaurav

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.
    See "Creating a profile":
