Unknown text numbers on usage detail

Has anyone else had weird phone numbers show up on their text usage detail page? (area codes 815 and 513) We have no idea what these numbers are and why they are showing up.

Hello WillieG2, Understanding your text detail is definitely important! I want to do all I can to help. Are you seeing the unfamiliar numbers as incoming or outgoing? Are the phone numbers shown in the text message detail viewable on the phone, as well? Is this for your current billing cycle or usage that has already been billed? Please provide a few more details so we can get to the bottom of this for you.

Can't See Text Usage Details On Old Bills

I need to review text messaging details on bills from 2010. I can access those bills online and see summary information for both voice and text (and yes, text messages were sent/received each month), but I can only see usage details for voice usage. When I click on the Usage Details tab for any bill in 2010, and then click on the "Messaging" link, I see this message: "You do not have any Text & Picture Message Details for selected Cell Phone Number and Statement Date" -- even though text messages were sent/received on each cell phone on our account during that particular billing period. How do I fix this or get the text messaging details for my account otherwise?

Is there a way to delete all details of calls and text messages? Even from online reports? I don't need them and don't want anyone to access them. I consistently chainge passwords but I am having a problem with an ex accessing my account. I have tried the lega route and they don't have laws etablished for a lot of things online. I am trying to protect myself. I need none of my activity displayed. Can someone please help me?

Unknown phone numbers appear in iMessage every time it launches

I updated my 4S from 7.0 to 7.1 this morning. Now every time iMessage opens there is a blank text message from each of two separate unknown phone numbers. The same two numbers appear ever time iMessage is closed and relaunched. Shutting down and restarting the phone didn't help. Any ideas what might cause this and how to get rid of this?

Call usage detail showed a call yesterday, but today it's gone??

Weird problem; yesterday my usage detail showed an incoming call received but the actual telephone number wasn't listed yet. It showed the exact time and length of the call 4:38pm for 10 min. I thought no problem, because on some calls the actual telephone number doesn't show up until the next morning. Well today, as of 2:00, that call isn't on my usage details AT ALL!! It just jumps from a 4:29pm 1 minute call to a 5:10pm 2 minute call. How could it have been there yesterday but COMPLETELY GONE today?????????

I like to help address your concerns about the missing call not showing on your usage details. How many mobile numbers do you have on your account? Were the calls between the missing call have phone numbers related with them? I would suggest checking online to be sure you are checking under your number and/or your next billing statement to see if the incoming missing call appears.

Unknown texts from known location

How to solve issue of known texts showing as unknown? My daughter can send texts and mid conversation it starts showing as unknown with no content. Both of us have rebooted phones. I have iPhone5 and she has android. Any suggestions?

Don't know if you've solved your mystery text yet, but I had this same thing happen to me today, and could not figure out how someone got my name associated with my mobile number through Facebook. I hadn't set up my Facebook account with my cell #, but did recently get a new cell and downloaded the Facebook app. After some research I realized that if you look under Privacy in your Facebook account settings, there is a setting for "Who can look me up?" using my phone number or email address. The default setting is "Everyone." According to articles I've read online, this can be done with all numbers associated with the Facebook account. Irritatingly enough, the only options available for this setting are Everyone, Friends of Friends or Friends. The only way to opt out is to stop using the Facebook app to receive notifications or make posts. I hit Friends, and will see if I get anymore unknown texts...

I built a website for a customer using HTML only, so it would work on everything, but some of the text numbers are not clear on the ipad. It works perfectly on all the other browsers.

Is this a memory issue, or cache issue, or something else? I've downloaded iCab and the site works perfectly with it.
Also wondering if I can manually reload/refresh web pages in iPad Safari.
Since most people with iPads will use Safari rather than iCab, I have to tweak this site to work in Safari.

Detecting phone numbers and making them clickable is a feature of the browser, and rebuilding your web-site links will not make any difference. Its done when the page is shown in the browser, not when the page is created.
According to the Safari iOS developers guide, you can turn these data detectors off using this code:

Can no longer see usage details of other phone lines since updating mobile app

I just updated the My Verizon Mobile App on my Galaxy Nexus. Since the update, I've lost the ability to see usage of 2 other phone lines I have on my account. Before the update, it was simple to see usage details of each of the 3 lines on my plan. Since I pay the bill and monitor usage, this was the app's most important feature to me. I've tried every menu option and usage detail button but cannot see usage details other than that of my own phone. Is there a way to see usage of other phones as was easily done before the update?

The primary account issue is likely the problem. My line was the second to be added and is not the "owner account" on My Verizon. I will call and get that changed when wait times are not usually long as I was just warned by the recorded message that answered my call to 611. It must be a change with the update as I was able to see other lines before. Thanks. PS. I submitted this question to Verizon thru their website as an email. I did get a call today that went to voicemail and ironically the connection was so bad I couldn't get the call back number from the agent that was nice enough to call.

Open the file as a RandomAccessFile. Check its length. Declare a byte array as big as its length and do a single read to get the file into RAM.
Is this a simple text file (bytes)? No problem. If it's really 16-bit chars, use java.nio to first wrap the byte array as a ByteBuffer and then view the ByteBuffer as a CharBuffer.
Then you're ready for search/replace. Do it as you would in any other language. Be sure to use System.arraycopy() to shove your bytes right (replace bigger than search) or left (replace smaller than search).
When done, a single write() to the RandomAccessFile will put it all back. As you search/replace, keep track of size. If the final file is smaller than the original, use a setLength() to the new size to avoid extraneous data at the end.

Can someone explain how data is fed to the usage details screen in My Verizon?

Can someone explain to me how I can view my data usage for a past date today and when I look at the same date a few days from now there will be additional data. Customer support were adamant that the data usage details come directly from my device so I commented that my device must be saving usage and sending it to Verizon arbitrarily to which I was met with silence on the line.
Here's an example - on 4/1 I checked my data usage details for the date of 3/21 and it looked like this:

The red rows have been added between 4/1 & 4/7, but where did they come from? This is just one example, it's happening all over my bill and Verizon cannot justify the anomaly and certainly won't consider removing the $40 in overage charges I have this month. Which brings up another question, why doesn't Verizon offer more than 10GB for the mifi? If I want to use more data and am willing to pay for it, I have to go to another provider?

When you had your data overage (and the additional spurious charges), how did Verizon respond to you?
I have just reported a 2x discrepancy between individual device data usage (.89 GB total) and the reported 1.5 GB for my account. They claim it will take 72 hours to get back to me after they research the problem.
What avenues did you pursue to make contact?
I caled 611, then emailed tech support, then sent a private message to Verizon Wireless support.

Hi everyone!
In my service desk transaction monitor, when i click on one particular transaction (this problem doesnt exist with other transactions), it opens up flagging a message "Text contains formatting (see detail screen)". [Message no. COM_TEXT202]. The performance assisstant states that "The text contains formatting that cannot be displayed in Text Edit Control."
Can anyone please tell me why is this message getting displayed? And what should be done so that it doesn't appear?

Restart the computer.
Repair Permissions in Disk Utility.
Check fonts and clear out bad ones in Font Book.
Try in another User Account.
Any luck?

MTN numbers in usage stats - how to determine where they originate

Evening all,
I could not find an appropriate category for this question. So I am hoping here is ok.
In MyVerizon, under usage statistics > voice calls I see occasional MTN numbers show up. I was told these are Mobil Telephone Numbers, however the numbers never make sense. For example, one is "0000032665". Any idea what this number represents and how I might determine the actual number that generated this call? I could not find any information on the Net about how to trace these numbers. Without that information there's no way to stop them from calling.

I was wondering where I could view the information about texts that I received in "My Verizon?" I'm just looking for the number I received it from, not the content. Stupid me erased some information from a potential employer and I need to find her number. Thanks in advance!
Not sure if it matters, but I have a Droid Eris. I do have an SMS back up app, but I deleted the text between the 2 backups, so no record of it on my phone at all.

You can log on to your MyVerizon account, and view details (numbers, dates, and times) for calls and messages for the current billing cycle, and you can also go back into previous bills to see info on texts for 3 previous billing cycles.
