Unlock program which locked by Editor lock

Hi, Experts,
I need a small favour from you. There is a program created by a user and locked using editor lock in se38 attribute. Now that user is not active in system. How can I unlock that program using another user.

select the lock entry and UInlock the entry(delete lock entry for that).

How to unlock a system lock in a different context?!?

Hi All,
I want to unlock a system lock for an object in order_adm_h from a different context and I'm not sure if this could work at all (due to security settings)!
If I use the function module "DEQUEUE_ECRM_ORDERADM_H" with the correct guid ithe unlocking doesn't work, which is probably because I'm in a different context.
The main question is this: If I put a system lock (for a table, service ticket etc.) in one program, bsp application or whatever is it possible to unlock the system lock in a different application? If it is possible what do I need to do to unlock my service ticket?!?
Of course I could use transaction code sm12, but this is not what i want to do (for multiple reasons).

The current (4.7.25) implementation of error handling in __lock_get_internal suffers from a deficiency described below (visible in DIAGNOSTIC mode only though).
Consider the current error-exit cleanup code (lock.c, line 1019):

The OBJECT_UNLOCK tries to unconditionally unlock the previously locked partition mutex. Unfortunately this mutex is not always locked.
Initially, when trying to lock, a partition mutex is correctly locked (lock.c, line 585):

This one calls __lock_alloclock that MAY (but does not always do, see the partition size check, lock.c, line 477) unlock the current partition mutex.
So, when locks/partitions are exhausted in DIAGNOSTIC mode, the failure leads to an environment DB_RUNRECOVERY panic instead of a simple ENOSPC being returned. I cannot say if this does any harm in non-DIAGNOSTIC mode, but I think that unlocking the same mutex twice won't do any good.

Yes, I considered myself that relocking mutex back is the easiest solution, but did not bother implementing it since the problem arises only when locks are exhausted which is a showstopper by itself.
As for my case, I just increased locks and lock objects limit tenfold (its okay since I delete several thousands of records via one transactional cursor and this isn't used in a production application, more of a test), so even DIAGNOSTIC build works properly.
Also, I think I have a small suggestion not related to the original topic. When upgrading to 4.7.25 from 4.5.20, I was very happy to discover that environments (region structures I think) are now properly distinguished between platforms (different binary layouts, probably a hash of some internal data or structure size check), so the x64 binary trying to open x86-created environment (or vice versa) doesn't just crash with an assert or an access violation (yes, I run BDB on Win32/Win64 and happy with it) -- it checks some sort of region structure hash and bails out with proper error message about incompatibility.
Unfortunately, the DIAGNOSTIC vs non-DIAGNOSTIC builds still suffer from the aforementioned problem -- they crash/assert when opening incompatible environments (i.e. DIAGNOSTIC environment tries to open non-DIAGNOSTIC one or vice versa). I fully understand that different builds are not intended to be binary compatible, but adding something like you did for region structures to differentiate DIAGNOSTIC and non-DIAGNOSTIC environment formats would be a very good idea.

I don't believe there is anything you can do to change this, which is by design.
If you always want the root directory or All Contacts available when selecting the Contacts app, you need to leave the app with All Contacts selected.

Why do unlocked iPhones get locked to the first carrier SIM?

I wanted to buy an unlocked iPhone 5s in the UK. I was told at Phone4U that it will get locked to the first carrier SIM which I put in!!! And I will not be able to switch!!

That has been an ongoing issue with "unlocked" iPhones from CarPhones and the place you mention...the iPhones are not unlocked in the true sense. They are setup to lock to the first sim inserted for activation. There really isn't away around this, either. Only the Apple store sells truly unlocked iPhones.

Did You may be direct iPhoto to a different Photo Library
As iMovie tries to find the appropriate photo library - it can get lost if iPhoto direct it into a Library on a not connected external hard disk or to a strange location - And iMovie HANGS.
Do - When no other program is running that might interfere
• Start iPhoto - BUT NOW KEEP alt-key (option key) DOWN during the full Start-Up process
• Now iPhoto let's You select Photo Library
• Select the one in Your Account / Home folder / Pictures ! !
• Then iPhoto should start up OK
• Now Quit iPhoto
• START iMovie
Does it still hangs - then I would suspect - iMovie Pref. file
If it Run's OK - Then HURRAY !

Command + Option + Esc will prompt the Force Quit window.
You can also force quit an app from your Apple menu top left in your screen or by using the Activity Monitor located in Applications/Utilities

about 3 years ago I bought an iPhone 3Gs. it was a second hand phone from CeX in UK. my wife has been using this phone until the contract have run out. then I have sent this phone to my sister in Poland but I have forgotten to remove the SIM lock. apparently, she wasn't able to do so for her own so she requested some kind of help. today I went to O2 Shop and asked to unlock the phone. I gave them an IMEI number. unfortunately, I've been told, they're not happy to help me as I wasn't the first owner... they suggested me to call Apple instead.

User which locked the record

Maybe somebody knows how to get the correct user which locked a record. The best way would be over the rowid of this record. I make a select for update nowait, then i get an exception. That means the record is locked. Now how can i get the user which locked this record ?

Only the carrier your phone was locked to in France can authorize the official unlocking of your phone. So contact them as to cost/procedure.
