Unrecognized deployment

While deploying get a warning message in the log file: "...warning Deployer Service failed to deploy file:/D:/_ServerApps/JRun4/servers/default/temp/
            * Unrecognized deployment: file:/D:/_ServerApps/JRun4/servers/default/temp/ ". I have JRun_4_Updater_7, 1.6.0_03 Java version. Any advice would be appreciated. Oksana

  • License.properties not being created

    I'm having issues after installing the ColdFision 8 server. I
    don't have any install errors and I'm entering in my serial number
    correctly, but when I go to the administration section of the
    server, I'm getting the "JRun Servlet Error" page telling me there
    is not web application configured. Looking through the logs I found
    this:
    Starting Macromedia JRun 4.0 (Build 108487), coldfusion server

    Did I miss a step?

    The license.properties error is standard for CF. This file
    will be found in coldfusion8/lib as the server starts up. But
    clearly you have other issues. Why the deployer service is not
    running is the real issue. Check your logs under coldfusion8\logs
    and coldfusion8\runtime\logs. If this is a new install, you may
    want to just uninstall and reinstall.

    I had a trouble to deploy the EJBHotel example.

    Deploy Application Post-Install

    Hi Kanakavally,
    I saw the logs and I can see you have several failed attempts. Initially it had to do with AIALifecycle user already present and now it has to do with changes not getting activated.
    I suggest you do another attempt at installation after complete cleanup.
    Here is what you can do.
    1. Click finish and exit out of the current Installer window (if you already have it open)
    2. Now launch the deinstaller as per the Installation Guide.
    3. Choose the AIA Home and uninstall (the uninstall bar may not be showing the progress but wait for some time and the uninstall will happen. We are fixing the progress bar issue)
    4. Once this is done, navigate to weblogic console and click deployments in the left nav.
    5. Select all AIA related deployments (if they exist - ideally this will get removed during uninstallation) and click delete
    6. Repeat the process for Datasources, JMS modules and JMS resources (again these dont exist ideally after uninstallation)
    7. Also navigate to security realms, select your realm (myrealm) and then click on the users and groups tab and remove AIA users and AIA groups
    8. Now shutdown the SOA managed server and then shutdown the Admin server as well
    9. Start the admin server
    10. Open the console, see if you have any changes to activate in the Activation. If there is any activate them. If it doesnt get activated undo all changes.
    11. Open the folder Middleware/domains/<your_domain> In this folder remove the file edit.lok.
    12. Also under the folder Middleware/domains/<your_domain>/pending , remove all files.
    14. Once you have done this restart the SOA Server.
    15. Attempt a fresh installation. Ensure that you read all the pre-install steps and instructions in the Install guide carefully before attempting the installation.

    I think you took my comment out of context. I was referring to deployments on developer PCs to have a standalone version to play with. This is not common as it requires more PC power which not many people have.
    10g and 11g are different products. In 11g you are correct SOA Suite is installed on WLS, as there is no 11g oc4j. So in that respect I would agree that WLS as the app server is mainstream.
    In 10g I would have to disagree. It was a message that Oracle had to say that SOA Suite can be deployed on WLS and this was our stragic app server going forward. It would be a customer decision as to what path they would take. From my experience not many did this because the WLS version was 9.2 not the 10.3 which OSB ran on. There were limited customers to provide references on this architecture. Typically what we saw if customer were BEA customers they went down this path otherwise they went with oc4j. Oracle sold WebLogic Suite which included oc4j so from a licensing perspective they were covered, and technically they could run any Oracle product. For new licenses you needed WebLogic Suite as part of SOA Suite this does not mean that people deployed SOA Suite on WLS in 10g.
    10.1.3.5 certification with WLS was going to solve the version issue as it is going to be on 10.3, but 10.1.3.5 was release after 11g and the WLS certifications still hasn't been released.
    The 10g WLS deployment was never going to be like that in 11g so WLS customers would need the same kind of architectual changes and oc4j customer would have. The differnce being ops people would not need to learn oc4j so there would be less need for training.
    But I would like to clarify my comment was for stand alone deployments on developer PCs, this is not common to have the WLS deployment.
    cheers

    as normal there would have a URL link displayed in the weblogic log, is that right? any one can give tips?

    Looks like you have a proxy configured, and that proxy (of course) doesn't support routing to 127.0.0.1

    Hi,
    I am trying to configure DMVPN in my lab. It shows unrecognised command when I try "ip nhrp".
    I am using Adv IP services 15.2 IOS image. I even tried this with Adv Enterprise k9 IOS image but it doesn't seem to work.
    Can someone please guide me to the proper image.

    You may be hitting a bug.  There are a couple of bugs that state the ip nhrp command is missing, however those bugs are on the 831 router and 15.3 ios.

  • WAR Deployment Issue

    Hi All,
    The Application which is built on web services, EJB3.0, Toplinks Essential . When i deploying this application on WebLogic Application Server 10.3 everything works fine. But while Running the same application after deploying in WAR format gives some exception which i am listing below -
    "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unknown entity bean class: class <name>, please verify that this class has been marked with the @Entity annotation."
    Warning-
    WARNING: Found unrecognized persistence provider "oracle.toplink.essentials.PersistenceProvider" in place of OpenJPA provider. This provider's properties will not be used.
    But i am not able to make out why i am getting this issue in case of WAR deployment.
    Looking forward to some positive response........
    Thanks.

    Well, your problem maybe that you need to separate EJBs from Web modules.
    WAR files are for Servlets, JSPs, JSFs, etc.
    EJB-JARs are for EJBs
    All should be packaged into an EAR...

    Is there some kind of security in ejb?. If so how can do it? Kindly help

    Hi,
    Some improvement regarding the code. I found i had to use the logincontext to login to the session so i had modified my code like this which for the most part i got from this blog(http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/2010/06/15/jaas-login-in-weblogic-server/)
    here's the code....
    public class invoke {
    public static void main(String args[]) {
         com.convergys.geneva.j2ee.product.ProductSessionHome productSessionHomeobj = null;
         com.convergys.geneva.j2ee.product.ProductSession productSession = null;
    try {
         Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
         com.convergys.geneva.j2ee.product.ProductPK ProductPK1=new ProductPK(1);
         env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
         env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "t3://172.20.212.252:10000" );
         env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL,"wlsadmin");
         env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS,"wlsadmin");
         InitialContext ic = new InitialContext(env);
              System.out.println("Got Initial context" + ic);
              LoginContext lc = new LoginContext("wlsadmin", new invoke.CallbackHandler("wlsadmin","wlsadmin", "t3://172.20.212.252:10001"));
              System.out.println("LoginContext:: ");
    Object sless = ic.lookup("Convergys/ECA/Product");
    System.out.println("Value of the sless object is :" + sless);
         productSessionHomeobj = (ProductSessionHome) PortableRemoteObject.
    narrow(sless, ProductSessionHome.class);
         System.out.println("before");
         SessionContext ses = null;
    productSession = productSessionHomeobj.create();
         productSession.readAllProductAttributeData_5_1(ProductPK1,1);
    } catch(Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();

    i don't know where the "OrdContentSource" is,and who tell me how can i config the package to run on jboss or other j2ee server? and if there are such tutorials or articles?
    i think that oracle company should provide a common package,when i use non-oracle j2ee server,i can include them.
    thank you!

    Looks like you have a proxy configured, and that proxy (of course) doesn't support routing to 127.0.0.1

    I was getting similar messages in two instances:
    1. Trying to deploy a JAR extracted from a newer sub-version of OSB to an older domain. Elements such as StickySession etc were not recognized.
    2. Trying to deploy to a domain with damaged OSB configuration; had to cleanup the whole domain (remove all projects) and redeploy everything from scratch.
    Somehow I feel it may be the second case... though compare the domain versions and deployed artifacts first.
    Also, review the whole error log; often the top error is masked by a list of caused ones. Look at the very first error message, this is usually the culprit (that is, if you deploy from a script).
