Ip nhrp Unrecognized command

Hi,
I am trying to configure DMVPN in my lab. It shows unrecognised command when I try "ip nhrp".
I am using Adv IP services 15.2 IOS image. I even tried this with Adv Enterprise k9 IOS image but it doesn't seem to work.
Can someone please guide me to the proper image.

You may be hitting a bug.  There are a couple of bugs that state the ip nhrp command is missing, however those bugs are on the 831 router and 15.3 ios.

I do have the ip nhrp command on 15.2(4)M7.

It is serius problem because I got few e-mails from senders that they had problem with sending e-mail messages to our e-mail domain. They receive e-mail report, for example
    Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain domena.plby
    mail.domena.pl.
    [95.xxx.xxx.xx].
The error that the other server returned was:

Could you help me to solve this problem? What could cause this problem?
    Thank you in advance
    Tomasz
    Kind Regards Tomasz

I have the same issue, but there is plenty of hard disk storage on the Exchange Server. This seems to only be happening from Google Business account/ Postini. If I send message from my personal Gmail account it works fine, but an agency who is on Google
business seems to have issues sending to us and they are delayed, sometimes they get through and other times they just don't.
    Results from Mail Acceptance Test:
I enter my internal address and the remote users postini account as the test setup I received two emails from the tool but the end results of the test are:
     Error submitting mail
Mail submission failed: Error message: Syntax error, command unrecognized. The server response was: 5.3.3 Unrecognized command.

As you can see, on line 9, at 03:26:35, we declared to the receiving server what we were about to send. At the line number 10, almost two minutes passed without an authorization (250 OK) from the receiving server. You can see our status being pushed back
at that moment to the receiving mail server: SMTP:Delivery still in progress after 90 seconds. Two more minutes later the connection was simply dropped and so we generated a 400 error message to encourage the sending server to try again later (since no bounce
was given per say from the receiving server, we won't hard-bounce it but defer it).
I hope this will help. you can try to look in the mydomain.com  inbound logs and see at that exact time what happened? Unfortunately, our visibility pretty much ends there as we don't have full visibility of your mail environment. You'll need to investigate
within your own environment unfortunately. If you have any more information to share with me, in case it might help me help you, feel free to do so. I'll leave this case opened for now.

  • Compiling failed with "unrecognized command line option '-Wl'" error

    Helllo,
I have here a fresh installation of Archlinux and I fall into troubles with compiling a few of applications from AUR.
    The problem is this:
gcc: error: unrecognized command line option ‘-Wl’
It happens for example with bubblefishymod package from AUR. I've never seen this error.
Any suggestion, what is wrong, please?
I have 64bit Archlinux installation, intel core i5, base-devel package group is installed.

Seems like a straightforward error message. Read about -Wl in "man gcc" if you want to know more.
In the meantime, removing "-Wl" from the LDFLAGS in the Makefile (I used a sed line in the PKGBUILD) should allow you to compile it successfully. Whether or not it works as expected though, is another matter entirely. Contact the author and get him to fix his Makefile.

  • Chatter email 502 5.5.1 Unrecognized command Sending Error

I have a Treo 680 (Rogers) that I have been successfully using Chatter email with for about 6 months (multiple email accounts).  No changes have been made in configuration however today when I try to send email messages I'm receiving a 502 5.5.1 Unrecognized command Sending Error message and can not send email messages on any accounts.  I can still receive however.   Any suggestions?

    Hi Paul,
May you please guide me thru the SMTP configuration.
By the way, I tried to implement the APEX_MAIL and it's delivering the mails internally but not externally. When I check the Mail log all mails appear but when I check my yahoo account there's no mail delivered but in the internal mail there's mail delivered.

    Are you using AUR https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/epso … 320-sx218/ ?
I updated the PKGBUILD to remove the line that says 'gcc -V >&5'  from the configure file
    libtoolize
    sed -i 's/gcc -V >&5//' configure
    chmod +x configure
    but it still doesn't build:

Could this be a missing package or something?

but I've been trying to look at the build scripts and I cant find where it adds the -m64 option? Could it be that its added automaticaly by the arch build system somewhere?
And the build script will always build 32 bit so I dont get why they would ever add the -m64 option in our script

Irrelevant what the Java code do as you could be doing something different using UTL_SMTP, you could be running it from a different IP address, etc. Also the message seem to be very clear that you are sending an invalid SMTP command to the server.
If UTL_SMTP fails with a SMTP error, it means that the mail server itself reported an error. Thus this is not an Oracle error, a problem with the database, etc.
    What it typically is, is:
    a) the client code incorrectly conversing SMTP (and not sticking to the correct SMTP commands and sequence)
    b) the client requesting the SMTP server something that is not supported (like relaying mail)
In all cases, the easiest method to troubleshoot this is not to use PL/SQL and UTL_SMTP at all, but to interactively converse with the mail server from the Oracle database server
    1) ssh or telnet or open a command/shell console on the Oracle server
    2) using telnet, connect to the mail server (e.g. telnet mail-server.abc.com 25 )
    3) repeat the same command sequence as your PL/SQL code does (these should be typically the HELO, MAIL FROM, RCPT TO, DATA and QUIT command in this sequence)
If you like to know more about the SMTP protocol, read [RFC 821 - Simple Transfer Mail Protocol|http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc821.html] - this is the official specification for the protocol. Also read RFC 2554 ( SMTP Service Extension for Authentication ) in case your mail server supports authentication extensions.

  • [solved] passing ImageMagick options in script : unrecognized command

I'm working on a script that modifies a lot of images. I am trying to add the flexibility to pass in any valid IM argument and have it tacked on to a default resize operation.
I'm running into the problem where certain options give me the 'unrecoginized command' error even though they are valid.
I've included a test snippet. I'd be interested to see if my examples do/don't work for others.
    #!/bin/bash
    mogrify "${1}" -resize 800x900 "${2}"
    #this won't work : bash ../IMargumenttest.sh '-modulate 150,50' img001.jpg
    #and gives :mogrify: unrecognized option `-modulate 150,50' @ error/mogrify.c/MogrifyImageCommand/5147.
    #this will work : bash ../IMargumenttest.sh '-contrast' img001.jpg
I've tried passing the arguments as single and double quoted options to no avail.
    Thanks in advance.
    Nick

When you run the command "mogrify -modulate 150,50 ...", mogrify receives a list of arguments: "-modulate", followed by "-150,50", followed by whatever else you passed it. When it sees the "-modulate" argument, it knows that the next argument is a parameter for the modulate argument.
With your quoting it instead receives a single argument "-modulate 150,50". There is no option "-modulate 150,50", so it throws the unrecognized error.
There are a few ways to handle this, depending on what you need to do. If the order of the arguments doesn't matter, then you can do this:
    mogrify -resize 800x900 "$@"
then run the script with "script -modulate 150,50 /path/to/image".  This works because "$@" is expanded by bash into separate words, so mogrify receives all of them as separate arguments.
If the resize command has to be right at the end, then you can do this:
    img="$1"
    shift
    mogrify "$@" -resize 800x900 "$img"
In that case, you have to call the script with the file path as the first argument, followed by any other arguments to mogrify. It assigns the file path to the variable "img", then it shifts it off the array of input arguments.
You could also do it with array indexing, but I think this is simpler.
edit: Just in case you were wondering why "$@" is expanded and "$1" isn't, it's because "$@" is treated specially to enable this type of usage. "$*" also contains all of the input arguments, but it is not expanded into separate words when quoted.

  • Ip nhrp command not available?

    Hi everyone,
I'm setting up an 871 and I've configured my tunnel0 interface, however I cannot type in any commands for ip nhrp.
    I currently have:
    interface Tunnel0
    bandwidth 1000
    ip address 10.10.10.20 255.255.255.0
    ip access-group 101 in
    no ip redirects
    no ip unreachables
    no ip proxy-arp
    ip mtu 1400
    ip virtual-reassembly
    ip route-cache flow
    ip tcp adjust-mss 1360
    ip ospf network broadcast
    ip ospf priority 0
    tunnel source FastEthernet4
    tunnel mode gre multipoint
    tunnel key 10000
    tunnel protection ipsec profile SDM_Profile1
    end
When I type in ip nhrp ? I get an unrecognized command error.
Is there anything I have to enable prior to having this command available?
    Thanks,
    Ali

That was pretty much it... after digging around that day, I noticed the IOS on that baby was advsecurity. Upgraded to Advanced IP services and worked like a charm.
I'm not at all familiar with DMVPNs so that one was a trick to find out.
    Thanks Andrew.

  • No NHRP support?

    Hi!
I am in the process of building a template for DMVPN Spokes on the Cisco 828. During the initial phase, I noticed that 12.4(5c) in the k9osy6-mz suite lack support for NHRP.
After a few searches I came up with "http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps5413/prod_release_note09186a00801c46b5.html", which doesn't specifically speak about this, but mentions the use of NHRP on this platform, and some issues with NHRP covered in "CSCin95836".
Was NHRP support removed in 12.4, or am I missing something? The router will not accept any "ip nhrp" command.
    I've tried this on 12.3(9) and 12.4(5c).
    Router(config)#int tunnel0
    Router(config-if)#ip nhrp ?
    % Unrecognized command
    Any input is apreciated!
    Best regards,
    Tord Forland - Norway

Unfortunately I couldn't find any IOS for the Cisco 828 platform which supports the Next Hop Resolution Protocol (NHRP) feature.
You can check the the support of the NHRP feature with the Cisco Feature navigator:

  • [SOLVED] Pkgfile works only if I source file in shell's run command

Hello. I have created discussion here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Talk:Pkgfile, where I was told to open forum thread.
At the Command not found section it is explained that it will automatically search the official repositories, when entering an unrecognized command
But for me, it only works if I source file, as it is explained further:
To enable it in all children shells, you need to source the hook from one of your shell initialization files.
        Example for Bash: ~/.bashrc
    source /usr/share/doc/pkgfile/command-not-found.bash
I think we shold make it workable as it is explained in wiki or edit wiki as it works.
By the way, why there was removed useful information about command-not-found aur package? See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php?ti … did=317469 I think we should explain in wiki about this package too.

Am I missing something here?  The wiki says that pkgfile includes that hook, and immediately afterwords says how to enable it.  You are claiming it only works for you when you enable it.  Good.  This is the expected behavior, that's why the instructions on how to enable that feature are right there in the wiki.  What is the issue here?

Yes, there is.  It says to source that file from your shellrc file.  It even gives explcit examples on how to do that for bash and zsh.

  • Cisco ASA 8.6.1 Shape Command Invalid

Tried setting up a Shape Policy and it states its invalid.  Worked fine on my 5520, just curious if anyone else might know why its coming as invalid now
    ciscoasa(config-pmap-c)# shape
                                              ^
ERROR: % Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
    ciscoasa(config-pmap-c)# shape ?
    ERROR: % Unrecognized command

100% sure, this is on asa 8.6.1
    ciscoasa(config)# policy-map shaper
    ciscoasa(config-pmap)# policy-map shaper
    ciscoasa(config-pmap)# class class-default
    ciscoasa(config-pmap-c)# ?
    MPF policy-map class configuration commands:
exit             Exit from MPF class action configuration mode
help             Help for MPF policy-map class/match submode commands
no               Negate or set default values of a command
police           Rate limit traffic for this class
priority         Strict scheduling priority for this class
quit             Exit from MPF class action configuration mode
      set              Set connection values
user-statistics  configure user statistics for identity firewall
csc              Content Security and Control service module
flow-export      Configure filters for NetFlow events
      inspect          Protocol inspection services
      ips              Intrusion prevention services
    ciscoasa(config-pmap-c)# shape average ?
    ERROR: % Unrecognized command
    ciscoasa(config-pmap-c)# shape average
                               ^
ERROR: % Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
    ciscoasa(config-pmap-c)#
The downfall here for me is that I need to use shape for outgoing traffic and limit it, the connect speed with the fiber box is 100Mbit, police polocy doesnt work, using police people downloading off the FTP server get under 1KB per second (Acts like a duplex issue), using shaper always made it work perfect by limiting the upload to 60MBit

  • Sh mac-address command in Cisco RSP4

    Hello guys,
Need your ideas on how to know to which port a device connected to using mac-address information on Cisco DLSw RSP4.
I did tried using command "sh mac-address add" but it is not recognized in this IOS.
    See below outputs:
    RSP-Core#sh ver

    RSP-Core#sh mac-address add ?

    RSP-Core#sh mac-

    Interesting hardware you have there.
Is this perhaps a cat 5xxx with an RSM module?
In that case, the RSM is in fact a router blade.
The command "sh mac-adress " is only found on switches. This info is there already but you need to get it from the supervisor which will be running CatOS.

  • 4500X command parser bug for monitor capture

I have had a question about wireshark support on the 4500X switches. I thought there were some capabilities missing from my 4500X-24 running 3.5.2E but as I was entering my question here I realized what the problem is.  I thought capabilities were missing because the question mark doesn't doesn't display all the options:
    Switch#show monitor capture ?
      file  Display captured file
    Switch#show monitor capture mycap ?
    % Unrecognized command
But it just seems to be a parser bug because it does actually accept and execute commands as documented:
    Switch#show monitor capture mycap parameter
monitor capture mycap interface Vlan11 both
monitor capture mycap interface TenGigabitEthernet1/1/7 in
monitor capture mycap match ipv4  any any
monitor capture mycap file location bootflash:mycap.pcap buffer-size 1
monitor capture mycap limit packets 100 duration 60
I just thought I would pass this along.

What was the issue and how did you solve it?

  • 4500x does not have "switch" command

I'm attempting to setup VSS pair on 4500x. 1 of the 2 switches appear to missing some commands:
On my Switch 1 this is the code:
Cisco IOS Software, IOS-XE Software, Catalyst 4500 L3 Switch Software (cat4500e-UNIVERSAL-M), Version 03.03.02.SG RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
    Directory of bootflash:/
    31682  -rw-   112660260  Dec 13 2013 15:52:45 +00:00  cat4500e-universal.SPA.03.03.02.SG.151-1.SG2.bin
On Switch 2 that appears to be running fine is running:
Cisco IOS Software, IOS-XE Software, Catalyst 4500 L3 Switch Software (cat4500e-UNIVERSAL-M), Version 03.04.02.SG RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
    CR-CYL-DC-SWC-02#dir bootflash:
    Directory of bootflash:/
    158402  -rw-   121703744  Nov 25 2013 02:56:07 +00:00  cat4500e-universal.SPA.03.04.02.SG.151-2.SG2.bin
On Switch 1 when i attemp to create VSS, I get the following:sw
    Switch(config)#switch ?
    % Unrecognized command
    Switch(config)#switch
is this switch set in a particular mode that's preventing or do i have a bad code loading.. ? please advise..
    Thanks

After taking a look at the current IOS on the switch I do not see VSS mentioned in the release notes. You may need to move up to a newer IOS version to solve this issue. The very next IOS 3.4.4SG seems to support VSS.
