Unwanted IPC Error

We only use activity management and opportunity management in CRM.
We do not use sales in CRM, However we do track products in an opportunity.
When ever we add a product to an opportunity we get the error PRC_MESSAGES_EXT610 - "No connection could be made to IPC."
We don't use the IPC. Any tips on turning off this message.

Error is controlled by the item category. Setting the item category to not pricing relevant makes the error go away.

communication between node1 and node2 disconnects.

Search on Metalink as I suggested earlier and you should find a lot of relevant information/bugs/patch information etc.
If your case is different than all listed ones, then you need to raise SR with Oracle support.

Can't start first instance...ORA-27504: IPC error creating OSD context

Oracle11gR1 RHEL4 AS - 64bit - 2 node RAC
I am having trouble starting the database from the first node. I can start the second node without any problems. When I go to start the first node I get the following error:

No alerts are being generated in the alert log. And I have looked at this errror in the docs and it says that it is related to OS/cluster interconnect but those are also fine as indicated in the alert log. I saw some metalink notes but they are specific to other OS's.

Presuming that no other changes were made to this
configuration and it stopped working , you might want
to attempt these steps :
a) You have already mentioned this but recheck the
alert.log file for this instanceThere is nothing in the alertlog.
to verify if there are any errors reported.
Check the udump / bdump locations for any trace files
which might give
us any clues on where to look further.This is all I found in a trace file:

ORA-27504: IPC error creating OSD context : Unable to start second node

I have set the DB parameter CLUSTER_INTERCONNECT to point to the Inet addr.

When I try to restart the DB services, it is throwing below error while starting the second node.
These are set of commands I have executed to change the DB Parameter

It seems you are not in the right forum. Despite of this because of the error stack you have a - possibly hardware related - connection problem between the nodes of the cluster. Pay special attention to ORA-27303, I think this message gives you valuable hints. And check the interconnect on hardware level.

According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you used PowerPivot data in SharePoint 2010.
Please make sure that the account used to run data refresh has read permissions on the data source, then refresh again, compare the result.

IPC error when displaying product config for order replicated from ISU

Hi all,
I am trying to set up ISU contract replication from ISU to CRM and I am having the problem sending product configuration. I am able to send all the nessesary settings for product config from ISU: when I look in resulting Bdoc in smw01 I see correct CUVAL values, CUCFG and CUINS. CRM order gets created without no problem. However, when I try to go to product configuration tab while displaying my order I see error message:
ISA Framework: Internal Error: java.lang.NullPointerException
I assume something might be wrong with the configuration values I am sending, however I have no idea how to get more details what caused this error. IPC apparently runs on separate server and I do not have direct access to it.
May be somebody can give me a hint where to look or what to do?

Deletion of unwanted segment - error 26

Can somebody please let me know how to delete unwanted segments?
I want to delete segment E1MARCM for unwanted plants. I am deleting this from BADI_MATMAS_ALE_CR, but I am unable to deal with its child segments.

In theory the best way to get rid of unwanted segments without any coding is to introduce a filter in the distribution model (transaction BD64). However, this only works if you're using ALE and you know up-front which values you want or don't.
In your case though it sounds as if you need dynamic filtering, i.e. it depends from case to case which plant segments are wanted. Thus a simple coding routine that deletes unwanted E1MARCM segments along with its children should do.
Here's some untested ABAP code that probably has some errors. The idea is simply to recursively delete the given IDoc segment (specified in SEGNUM) along with all it's children (i.e. the ones that reference in PSGNUM the given segment number):
form DELETE_SEGMENT using    SEGNUM    type EDI_DD40-SEGNUM
                    changing EDIDD_TAB type EDI_DD40_TT.
data EDIDD type EDI_DD40.
" Delete the parent segment
delete EDIDD_TAB where SEGNUM = SEGNUM.
" Delete children of parent segment and their children
loop at EDIDD_TAB into EDIDD where PSGNUM = SEGNUM.
    " Delete the immediate child
    delete EDIDD_TAB index sy-tabix.
    " Now recursively delete all it's children
    perform DELETE_SEGMENT using    EDIDD-SEGNUM
                           changing EDIDD_TAB.

IPC error message when starting MSA

Hi,
A bit strange but every time we start Mobile Sales [standard SAP 5.0 SP08], we get a message "Installation of Internet Pricing and Configurator is incomplete". We are able to access Mobile Sales, but the strange thing is that IPC was not set as an option during install.

Please check the following for IPC
1. DO you need IPC? ( it does the pricing and configuration for MSA).
If no then you can do as mentioned earlier for MSY that should work.
2. if the answer is yes and if you need that to be restarted automatically every time check whether it is part
of start up for all users in your documents and settings, this ensures that you dont have to restart
IPC every time you log in.
3. once IPC starts there will be a cross mark on the IPC system tray icon until it becomes fully up
and running.
4. then you start your application.
Prerequisites for IPC to work are :
1. you need to have j2SDK not JRE whose version is betwen 1.4.2_03 to 1.4.2_12.
2. if its SQL 2000 server then SP04 of SQl server 2000 is a must.
3. after IPC is installed then go to run->cmd and give command <b>set cat</b> it should display
ipc installation path.
go to run->cmd and give command <b>set java</b> it should display j2sdk installation path, along with
some other setting totally two.
this ensures that ICP installation is complete.

Ora Errors in Alert Log:ORA-27508, ORA-27507, ORA-27300, ORA-27301

Hi All,
I have a Solaris 5.9 machine with Oracle 9.2.0 installed on it. But the connectivity to the database is lost intermittently.
I am getting the below mentioned message in the Alert Log:
ORA-27508: IPC error sending a message
ORA-27507: IPC error disconnecting from a port
ORA-27300: OS system dependent operation:DIS: NCON: connect failed: cnh 0 failed with status: 134
ORA-27301: OS failure message: Transport endpoint is not connected
ORA-27302: failure occurred at: skgxpdis
ORA-27303: additional information: DIS: NCON: connect failed: cnh 0x1039208e8, rqh 0x10391bfb8
After searching a lot on various forums, I could not get any resolution to the above errors.
Could someone please help me out with this issue.

The message class PRC_MESSAGES_EXT is used for IPC error messages.
Maybe you have errors in some IPC java user-exits?
