Unwanted PAI function code

Hi experts,
I got a dynpro with a Input/output field on it which is set to output field only. There is also one button in the application toolbar with a function code "TEST".
When I double click the output field now, PAI is thrown and the function code is filled with 'TEST'. How can I avoid that?
The output field shouldn't be double clickable at all or at least throw a PAI with an empty function code.

Hello,
When you created the TEST button on the application toolbar you probably have assigned the function key F2 to it. This automatically picks the double click action.
Delete the PF status and recreate it with a different function key assigned to the button (TEST) on the toolbar..

Function code is the CODE assigned to a particular through which the SAP recognises its action.
It is something like OK code or Sy-UCOMM.

In your ABAP programs, you should work with the OK_CODE field instead of SY-UCOMM. There are two reasons for this: Firstly, the ABAP program has full control over fields declared within it, and secondly, you should never change the value of an ABAP system field. However, you should also always initialize the OK_CODE field in an ABAP program for the following reason:
In the same way that the OK_CODE field in the ABAP program and the system field SY-UCOMM receive the contents of the corresponding screen fields in the PAI event, their contents are also assigned to the OK_CODE screen field and system field SYST-UCOMM in the PBO event. Therefore, you must clear the OK_CODE field in the ABAP program to ensure that the function code of a screen is not already filled in the PBO event with an unwanted value. This is particularly important when the next PAI event can be triggered with an empty function code (for example, using ENTER). In your application programs, the first step in PAI processing should be to save the function code in an auxiliary variable and then initialize the OK_CODE field. You can then read the function code from the auxiliary variable (for example, using a CASE structure), and control the program flow from there.
The OK_CODE field can have a different name on each screen. However, common practice is to use the same name for the field on each screen of an ABAP program. You then only need one field in the ABAP program, with the same name, into which the function code is placed, and from which you can read it.

Assigning a function code to radio button in 4.5B

Ive a requirement wherein I need to trigger the PAI event in a module pool program when I select a particular radiobutton in a group and do some processing subsequently.
For this I need to assign a function code to the radiobutton group.
But the function code field is disabled for input in the properties screen of the layout. Our client system is SAP 4.5B.
I am able to assign function codes to radio button groups in esuides(4.6C) and other systems.
I want to know whether we can assign a function code at all to a radio button group in version 4.5B.
If so, please tell me how to do this.

Function code for dropdown on OO ALV Grid to trigger user_command

Hi Experts,
I know we can add a dropdown to a column of an OO ALV Grid, set values to the dropdown list and allow the user to select some these values.
However , what I'm not sure is that if we can *assign a function code to the dropdown * which would then trigger the event user_command ( PAI ) of the ALV class so I can handle the changes to when a particular value is selected from a dropdown list, just like we do in normal dialogs.
Now I know that I can register the 'Enter' event and handle the data changes in data_changed event, but that is something I want to avoid the user from doing as far as possible to make the report more user friendly.
Awaiting your valuable inputs and would really appreciate your help.

No problem. Yes, this functionality requires changing the focus to other cell.
I think there is other solution. As the dropdown is kind of F4 activity try this way:

This approach works fine for picking value from input help. Never tried it for dropdown list. You have to try it out.

How to create function code for field in GRID like list box in screen

Hi all,
I have requirement like drop down is created for field1 in GRID,
and have given f4 help for it, as soon as i change the data in the field
event has to trigger to update thevalues in other field.
This scenario i worked on screens where field is created with listbox and assign function code to it
when the field value changes the event triggers .
Is there is anything like that which will fire the event for field value changes.
can i update anything through the fieldcatalogue.

How to maintain the function code added to a custom screen in IW31

Hello gurus,
Does anyone know how can I maintain the function code of the push button I have in my enhancement screen in IW31 (Service Order). 'Coz it says "Requested function 'my fcode' is not available". I tried it in VFBS but don't know the screen sequence or what's the right data to put. Please help me with this. Thanks.

Hi, you need add Your Function Code into the Tables T185x (x like T, F...). Call Transaction SM30 (SM31), put the Table name T185 into Table name and select the Button 'Maintain' or Customizing. The Transaction will navigate you to right position in Customizing. Next, you need to find in the Table's T185x Line with the Program Name SAPLCOIH. Then add your code into the Table's. At next, You have to maintain Your function Code in the PAI module of your Custom screen in the TA IW31.

Error ! No field defined for function Code

Make sure that you put define the name of the OK_CODE field in your screen. Go to your screen,   click on the element list tab. You should have a line which as a TYpe as "OK".   Put the name as OK_CODE.
Now in your program.....you need a DATA statement for OK_CODE, and you need to handle the OK_CODE in your PAI of the screen.

The PAI Event Code to search for a record in Table Control

Logic
1. I have a position button and entry text field (search content) for a table control in my screen. Position button has the function code 'PBUT'.
2. Content of table control will be in an internal table. The entry text field is to be used for positioning.
3. I enter the search (key) field in text field & Click the position button.
4. The PAI event of button click (Module user_command) of that screen is as under.
Case sy_ucomm.
When 'PBUT'.
What will be the code to bring the row as selected in table control, that I have to write here, for this case-value.

Error Transaction 'Function code' doesn't exist.

hi ppl,
i have a screen in which i am calling a subscreen.In the Subscreen there is button and i have given its function code as 'SSR'.
Now when i execute the transaction the subscreen with all the data is appearing on the screen.When i press the button SAP is giving me error'Transaction 'SSR' doesnt exist'.
In the PAI of the subscreen i have the below logic.
case sy-ucomm.
when 'SSR'.
call screen 1008 starting at 5 10 ending at 23 43.
when others.
exit.
endcase.
Can anybody suggest what is the problem and how to fix it?

Hi,
Goto SE41, create a pf-status for your alv report program.
On the next screen, click menu EXTRAS --> click option ADJUST TEMPLATES and select radiobutton LIST VIEWER --> you will get all standard buttons of alv in the pf-status.
Delete the unwanted buttons and also you can add new buttons if reqd.
Activate pf-status --> and apply in alv program.

Handling new function code in customised gui status of report

I have a very simple report, YRPT1, which write a few lines to the list. I have created a new gui status and set it in my report. In se41, I also added a new function code 'TERM' in the application toolbar. If I am not wrong, i need to handle this new function code in the PAI section of the simple report. So my question is, where is the PAI section of this simple report?

In selection screen, the user action is to be handler in
"AT SELECTION-SCREEN" event.
Code should be like this
tables sscrfields.
at selection-screen.
case sccrfields-ucomm.

Hi as per previous answer you select and make a group of radio button by right clicking then you will be able to give it FCODE.
But now your Radio Button will work like a push button clicking it will activate the PAI event. Now in pai you have to write a case statement to know which button is pressed.
Example: With three radio button named Radio1,2 and 3 with FCODE RAD and Group name RADIO_GRP.
DATA: radio1(1) TYPE c, radio2(1) TYPE c, radio3(1) TYPE c.

Function Code can not be selected

Dear expert,
Please help me, there is a uploader For MIGO, USer is uploading data using this uploader, Sometimes when user try to upload data, he gets a message on status BAR:
Function cannot be selected, When i Double Click on that Message i Get Following Information:
Message NO: 00255
Diagnosis
You entered an Inactive function code
You can trigger this by:
inputting directly in the OK code field
inputting the fastpath of an inactive menu function
choosing an inactice function key, or even by
choosing enter, if enter has an inactive function
In batch input a function code is included in field BDC_OKCODE of the session, as long as this function Code is not assigned to Enter
As well as activating function codes stastically in the menu painter(Transaction SE41), they can also be deactivated dynamically using the excluding addition with PF-STATUS.
Now one more thing i want to tell you is when user just open MIGO directly and try to enter some data and get back before saving and then Execute uploader then user can upload data without any error,
Kindly tell me what shoul i do to remove this error permanently

There is an error in this uploader, it should not call this command which is not available on that screen. What is this uploader? If it's a custom abap program, you must debug it.

How to track the standard function code eg. PRI

Dear All,
I have a requirement that says that I will execute a report. Now when the user will click on the print button may be customized or can be taken from menu (Standard PRI) I want to update a table when the printout has been taken. I am not able to track down the print functionality through AT USER-COMMAND. Can anyone please help me out.
