Unzip rar file by using ssis
Hi
i need to extract the rar file by using execute process task
for this i used the executaables as C:\PROGRAM FILES\WinRAR\WinRAR.exe

warning window is displayed , NO ARCHIVE FOUND I PRESS THE OK BUTTONI GOT THE ERROR LIKE

Doesn't appear to be a - before the e in your error window. Are you sure your arguments says:
-e c:\users\sbattula\desktop\newfolder\ACC01_q_20120609.PART01.RAR -O+
And not
e c:\users\sbattula\desktop\newfolder\ACC01_q_20120609.PART01.RAR -O+
Also the path: c:\users\sbattula\desktop\newfolder\ACC01_q_20120609.PART01.RAR
Does not match what the error is returning
C:\Users\Desktop\New Folder\ZIPFILES\ACC01_Q_20120609.part01.rar

Can a .rar file be used to zip a Mac file?
I've got a bunch of .rar files that are supposed to make up one big Mac file, but I've never heard of that being possible..always thought that's only a PC zip format....anyone know otherwise? If so, how do you unzip 'em? thanks
There is one caveat: certain types of ‘legacy’ files, from Mac OS 9 and earlier—those with resource forks—can’t be safely stored in non-Mac-aware archives. Font suitcases, for example, are completely lost (become empty files); 68k-compatible applications are ruined; non-native image formats lose their previews. The only exception of which I am aware is a Zip archive created by OS X’s tool and equivalents, which use a special workaround to save resources and Finder Info in such a way that they can reconstitute the original file structure on extraction. Windows users +et al.+ just see an extra directory in these archives. AFAIK this isn’t available for rar, tar, gzip and other such compression formats—and if implemented by a particular Mac-aware utility, would require that a similar program be used for unpacking the archives.

Please suggest how can we verify file format using SSIS 2008 .
We have ragged files placed in directory which need to be loaded into DB. Before loading we need to validate the file format before loading.

How to add specific header and footer to flat file using SSIS 2008
The SSIS package need to create file with headers, totals and adds a status to position one of the records.
Header: "$$ADD ID=ENTK0557 BID='IA HBZAC14HBZACHRYCORP' PASSWORD='CUSTOMER ' %AU HBZAC14" is added.

File SnapShot.Using SSIS its difficult unless you use a script task after the data flow to add the header footer bits.
A much better option in this case would be bcp as you can generate query with values in the order you want and bcp it out

NoClassDefFoundError error when deploying a resource adapter rar file
Hi,
Iam trying to deploy a resource adapter(RA) rar file which uses orabpel.jar.
1. When i dont package the orabpel.jar along with the adapter, i get the following error during deployment

2. If i package the orabpel.jar file along with the RA, i get ClassCastException.
3. I tried including the imported-shared-libraries section in the packaged oc4j-ra.xml, but this gets overwritten as part of the deployment.
4. I removed the above class which gave NoClassDefFoundError and then tried deploying and got the following error

Currently i package orabpel.jar file along with the RA rar file, deploy, later go and modify the oc4j-ra.xml from application-deployments/... to include the imported-shared-libraries, remove the orabpel.jar from the connectors/BRMAdapter directory, restart the AS and it works
Iam using Oracle AS 10.1.3 as part of the SOA Suite.
Any help would be appreciated.Found a soln, add the codesource to the j2ee instance application.xml
eg adding the following
<imported-shared-libraries>
<import-shared-library name="oracle.bpel.common"/>
</imported-shared-libraries>
solves the problem. Make sure the shared libraries are installed and is added to the instance server.xml
This is described in "Oracle® Containers for J2EE Developer’s Guide 10g (10.1.3.1.0)"
But not sure if the end customers need to be told to edit the configuration file manually. -

I successfully create SAP JCA Connector project for .java / .class files.
When I try to use ResourceBundle in connector project, it isn't exported to JAR / RAR / EAR files.
What should I do?
The only builders are:

* org.eclipse.wst.validation.validationbuilder
When I try to export connector project to SAP RAR file, I can switch between binary-only or binary with sources, not any checkbox for *.properties.

SSIS Execute Process Task to Unzip Remote Files
I have created an SSIS Execute Process Task to unzip files on a remote server.
Executable: \\servername\c$\Program Files (x86)\7-Zip\7z.exe
Arguments: -o\\servername\d$\DBFiles\ -y x \\servername\d$\DBFiles\somefile.zip
The zip file size is about 40MB.
The SSIS task runs very slowly, close to 5 minutes. I know it should not take this long. When I remote logon to the server and run the 7z program to unzip the same file, it unzips in less than 10 seconds.
It seems that the way it is set up now, it constantly sending instructions back and forth from my PC to the server when I run the SSIS package on my PC.
I have 50 files of varying sizes that need to be processed daily. The SSIS unzip task takes 2 hours just to unzip these files.
How should I set up the SSIS Execute Process Task so that it can unzip files on remote server efficiently?
Many thanks in advanceThe reason is that the files contain data that need to be loaded to the database. So, the zipped data files are copied to the server where the database lives. The SSIS package unzips the files and loads the database. The SSIS package is stored on the same
server. The server lives in the remote data centre.
My team run the SSIS package using Managament Studio running their PCs in the office, which is a different location to the data centre.
Since the package and files live on the same remote server, I would have thought that that would not be an issue. But the fact that we run the package locally means that the package is executed locally.
My goal is to put the zipped data files on the server, unzip the files, load data to a database on a remote server. I need to allow my team of 4 to be able to use Management Studio to run the SSIS packages to do the above. Would I be better off Remote
Desktop connecting to the server and execute the package there?

Hello guys,
I have just received a download I have purchased. (I have purchased audio files for film score editing, so the resulting files should be audio files).
But the downloaded file I have received is 700 mb .rar file.
When I double click it, it tries to open DivX converter, but I only had a trial version, which is now expired.
Is there any other way of unzipping/opening this .rar file? Ot is DivX the only application?

From the menu bar of Macpar, choose process the unrar. It will then let you search for the file. If you have a .ro1, .ro2..... it will highlight the start rar.

Concept:
Every month i need to find the list of .rar files from the
E:/TempBackup directory from the different environments (remote desktop servers) and i need to delete the current month
.rar files alone from the respective (E:/TempBackup) directory. below is example files structure inside the
E:/TempBackup.
example:
zDROP_2014_08_31_Backups.rar
zDROP_2014_09_31_Backups.rar
zDROP_2014_10_31_Backups.rar
from the above list i need to delete the zDROP_2014_08_31_Backups.rar(current month) file alone and also logs should be capture for this deletion.
key words for this are zDROP and Current month and date.

have you expanded it to look at the contents?
actually, let's start at the beginning just in case. do you know what a .rar file is? it's like a .zip, a container for compressing a file or folder. to open it, you need WinRAR or some other OS-specific app.
once you've done that, you can look at/make use of what it contains. a file for gradients is probably a swatch file, which could have the extension .ai or .ase. you open one of those from the swatch palette menu (Open Swatch Library > Other Library).
it might be a graphic style library, which you'd open similarly from the graphic styles palette (but it's more likely to be swatches).
I guess it could be just a page arranged with various gradients, but that would be a messy way of doing things.
or it could even be a bunch of different files. you're the only one with the file, so you'll have to see what you've got. -
Unzip GZ files using Powershell
I have Windows 2008 Server with some GZ type files in a folder. I would like to script unzipping them using Powershell, can someone tell me if this is possible and how I would do it?
The folder is d:\data_files\ and I'd like to uncompress all the .gz files in there

You can supply the function with the full path of the file to be unzipped, and the full path of the unzipped file.
If you don't supply the unzipped file path, the function will unzip the file into the same folder as the source, and remove the .gz extension.

Problem using payloadZipBean to unzip a file
I would like to run OS command to zip large amount of xml into one zip file before XI pick it up, then use unzip option in payloadZipBean to unzip all the xml files so XI can process them one by one from memory, this will reduce lots file I/O time.
But I am getting this warning message:
Warning Zip: message is empty or has no payload
But if I display this message in RWB, the only payload is this zip file.
Why the payloadZipBean is not unzipping this file as supposed to.Did you check this blog
