Up Dating selected pulldown list values

Hi
I have created a copy of the internal transfer PCR. I have added a new pull down list for Pay Band along with a text field. I have added the selection field and an Overlay field as per the normal pulldowns. I have coded the BADI and the list is displayed and a value can be selected. All seems OK until
When the PCR is saved and the data in the notification is checked the New value of Pay band is there but not the new text. I would expect that I have to code this update of the text field. I have checked the call to all the methods of the BADI and none seem to get called for my pulldown.
I have added the code to raise an event using the same code as per the PERSK pulldown field. When i use the same code the form is refreshed but if i change the event name to something else the form is not refreshed. I would have expected that the method Process user command would have been called but this does not seem to be happening.
How do you check that a value in a pulldown as changed so that text fields can be updated

Hi,
I think you can use the USER_COMMAND method itself for your case. Please put a condition if USER_COMMAND = 'SEND' or USER_COMMAND = 'APPROVE' or USER_COMMAND = 'REJECT' what sover action that executes before submission, then get the value of Pay Band from SPECIAL DATA Internal Table and select the Text value from ECC based on the this Pay Band and set this characteristic text value back into the SPECIAL DATA Internal table.

My understanding says that initialization event is triggered before selection screen gets generated.
So, i would suggest you write the code in At selection screen Output.
I have came across same problem and this thing worked in my case.

Populating Combo Box list value In Multiple Row

Hi,
i to have the same problem .
I have used add_list_element to populate the list value of the combo box in multiple row.
I am selecting the list value from the database where the combo box value will be different for each row. However, when i do this.
All the previous row combo box list value will follow the combo box value in the last row. How can i resolve this?
i tried with lov but hasnt had any sucesss.in case of LOV can we make the list to appear automatuically and select a value????i havent had much sucesss over it??
is thr any work around for this apart from lov?

Calling pages based on choice list value

I'm using jdev11.1.2.1.0
I have created page with one single choice list and 3 buttons.
in choice list, all the selected items are static only. I have created 3 selected items under the choice list.
and I created 9 jsff fragments.
now these 9 jsff's are called as regions in page when i select choice list value and button.
how can I achieve this?

I have taken 9 buttons and i created valuechangelistener event and by depending up on the selecteditem in the choice list, rendered only three buttons and under those buttons i created setpropertylistener.
its working fine.
but I have created choice list by drag and drop the choice from the component palette and there I created list items( just labels only with no values)
by default its showing blank item in the list.
but as per my requirement, first item should be displayed first.
I don know much about unselectedlabel property for the choicelist.
how can I use this in displaying the first selectitem in the list?

Refresh classic report based on select list value selected

can anyone please help me out with this issue. I have a parameterized classic report based on a select list and I want to refresh this report whenever the select list value is changed. I am using oracle apex version 3.2. i just want to have a javascript function onchange event for the select list which refreshes my report whenever a value is selected.
My select list item is p1_datastore

My classic report query is

Change image when form dropdown list value is selected

I really thought this would be simpler but I just can't get it working.
I have a submit from from paypal with a dropdown list. The list allows you to select color. I want to change an image on the page to display the appropriate color when the color is selected from the drop down list. So a black image shows up when black is selected, a red when red - etc...
I would be very grateful if someone can share some succinct, browser compatible code. Thank you so much for any help you can provide.

Thanks so much. I used your info from above and am in the process of creating a product configurator for our products. Do you see any problems/issues etc or ways to make this script better? I don't have most of the images there yet, but if you choose big boy chair and then choose navy/powder/black fabric and most accent colors you should see it working (in FireFox anyway). Not sure why it isn't working in IE. Any ideas?

But,apperars to me that I have added the groupsList to the panel in the method.
What I am trying to acheive here is, when a value is selected from the groupsList, accrodingly,in the ListActionListener, Iam trying to repaint the whole Panel with the list component above and duellist panel (a panel with 2 list components by side and buttons at the centre)obtained from dualListPanel Class .
Appears to work fine the first time when DualListPanel is nstantiated with certain data passed in.But when a particular list value on top is selected, i would require this dualListPanel to be instantiated with a new set of data passed in.This,for some reasons fails to come up.
Would Appreciate if you could suggest accordingly for this.

Select MULTIPLE default values for a multiple selection list box based on another field in Infopath 2010

Hello there - Before I explain my issue, I would like to point out that I have reviewed some other discussions on selecting default values for multiple selection listbox. But my issue is specific and different, and not answered by any of the discussions
I visited.
I have a multiple selection list box (say for example all countries in the world as values), and I would like to pre-select or setup multiple default values (say five countries) based on some criteria that I query from MS SQL database table.
I know we can go to Data | Default Values option to setup one or many default values for multiple selection list box. When I enter the default values manually this works. I also right click the field under the Multiple-Selection List Box group, then select
Add another Value Below and set the Default Value for this field to setup multiple default values.
However, if I reference a field (either an infopath field or a field from SQL database) I am not able to setup multiple default values. Infopath automatically selects the last field I selected for all instances and in the end I am able to see only one
default value selected instead of many. How to fix this problem? Why would infopath allow multiple default values when we enter it manually but not when we reference some fields?
Please let me know if you need more info. Appreciate your help.

I did a test with SQL database table. I set three default values for the checkbox list by adding three values field under the group field(Data->Default values), each value field is for a default value. Then publish it to my SharePoint site, everything

Tranferring on "select list" value to another "select list" value

We have a drill through feature in our application where the user clicks on a value on page 1 and is taken to page 2. (e.g. the user drills on EUROPE in the REGION column on page 1 and is taken to page 2 where they see a report by countries in EUROPE.)
We also have identical SELECT LISTS on page 1 and on page 2 for REGION (EUROPE, NORTH AMERICA, ASIA). How do we program our application so that when the user clicks on EUROPE on page 1 and is taken to page 2 the value of EUROPE from the REGION SELECT LIST on page 1 is chosen in the REGION SELECT LIST on page 2?
We tried embedding this in the url for the drill through but the REGION SELECT LIST value on page 2 didn't change.
In the below link shouldn't the value of the REGION SELECT LIST named P2_REGION be assigned the current value of the REGION SELECT LIST called P1_REGION? (in this case 'EUROPE')

SSRS report - A single selection dropdown list converted to text box

Hello everyone,
We created a single selection dropdown parameter (City parameter) on a report. The data in this parameter is populated using MDX query. Also, it is filtered based on selection of another single selection dropdown list (Country parameter) of a report.
The problem is when there is no cities for the selected country the dropdown list is gets converted to free type text box and user can insert city data in it. Why SSRS is not keeping it as empty dropdown list with no data?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Regarding parameter settings on General tab for both the above parameters we did not select any of the following values, all these checkboxes are empty:
Allow Blank Value ("") , Allow null value, Allow multiple values.
I think it has something related to [Measures].[Amt] that we used in customer parameter. We are now trying to take other two parameters where we would be not using the [Measures].[Amt] to filter the data. Will update you soon.

How to Get checkbox value when List value changed in classic report

hi ,
i worked with apex 4.2 and i create normal classic report with one checkbox column and one column change it to select list(named loved) now i want when user change list
take value of checkbox item and show it in message .
SQL for report

You should not create checkboxes like this. Either use the APEX_ITEM.CHECKBOX2 API or change the Column Type to Simple Checkbox.

Could not find selected item matching value "New" warning message in ADF

Hi,
I have a selectOneChoice1 for a field which has the following fixed values in it. And while creating it, I selected the 'SelctionRequired' option so that this field will always have a value.
New
Pending
Completed.
While navigating to this page, I am trying to set the value to 'New' (Retrieved from the DB) in the backing bean. But when the page is rendered, the above field is empty with the above options in the list and jdev has the follwing error message in its log.
WARNING: Could not find selected item matching value "New" in CoreSelectOneChoice[UIXEditableFacesBeanImpl, id=selectOneChoice1]
Can any one help me with this issue?

The value of a list binding is the zero-based integer position in the list that is selected, not the actual underlying value.
The simplest way to set the value of an attribute is to use an attribute binding (which can be bound to the same attribute as the list binding). When you set the value of an attribute binding, it sets the value as you supply it. Otherwise, you'd need to set the list binding's value to the numerical "slot" number of the one you want to change the value to.
