Update AD From CSV by Attribute Value

We are attempting to update our AD fields from a database that holds all our users phone numbers.  The only accurate attribute between AD and the CSV is the EmployeeNumber.  I am having a tough time wrapping my head around how this should
be scripted to tie the two together by this field and update phone numbers (and possibly more info) for each user.
Any tips would be appreciated.

Hi,
Assuming your CSV headers are EmployeeNumber and PhoneNumber, try this:
Import-Csv .\employeeList.csv | ForEach {
$user = Get-ADUser -Filter "EmployeeNumber -eq '$($_.EmployeeNumber)'"
Set-ADUser -Identity $user -OfficePhone $_.PhoneNumber -WhatIf
Remove -WhatIf if you're happy with the initial output to actually make the changes.

  • Automatic Deprovisioning of AD resource Accounts from CSV file attribute

    My scenario is somewhat like this,
    I have a CSV flatfile Active Sync which contains the following columns:
    accountId,firstname,lastname,department,location,region
    ausmani,Arsalan,Bhagwan,Uphone,Milpitas,US
    aahmed,Aftab,Singh,Telenor,Cairo,EMEA
    hkhan,Hello,Khan,Lahore,Dublin,EMEA
    I have created a role and has assigned AD resource to it. I have hardcoded this role in the waveset.roles field name in my creation form.
    When I start FlatFileActiveSync, these above mentioned 3 accounts are created in IDM and they are also assigned AD role, and hence they are automatically provisioned to AD as, due to the fact that I am assigning resource on role base.
    I am using Update User workflow in my poll-workflow configuration in my Flatfile synchronization policy.
    Currently I am able to automatically provision a account from CSV file towards IDM and towards AD. All this process is automatic.
    My problem is that how can I automatically disable and deprovision accounts via a CSV. What I should include in CSV that IDM will know that this account has to be disable and deprovision from resource??? Moreover, which workflow I have to use?
    Thanks,
    Farhan.

    Even I am struck at the same place. Please let me know if you find out.

  • Updating Database From csv File in Web Dynpro Java

    Hi Gurus,
    I'd like to write an WDJ where the (super-)user can upload a csv file and delta-update the content of this file witch an external database.
    Could you please give some me hints & examples.
    Thanks in advance,
    Farid
    ps. answers will be rewarded with points, of cource.

    Hi Farid:
    From your question it seems like you want to write a WDJ application which writes a CSV file after connecting to a database and everytime you do so, updates the file with the new record from the DB.
    For this, I wouldnt think to write an application in WebDynpro since its an over kill, unless you want to host this appln in a portal environment and want it accessible for  a set of people.
    Ideally you could use the JDK api to open a connection to the database and then then file api to write to files. You would need to use an identifier somewhere to know the last record read and written to the file.
    Incase you put in the type of db you want to connect to, i could be of more help
    Thanks,

  • How to call a method in Viewimpl from transient attributes value

    Hai,
    I have a method in ViewImpl say validate().I need to call this method from an transient attributes value where value type is expression.i used adf.object.validate() but its not working.
    Can any one help me
    Thanks in advance

    Hai,
    Jabr i read these in a pdf where it explains about Introduction to Groovy support in JDeveloper and Oracle ADF 11g
    Referencing custom methods in the EntityImpl class
    If you have defined a method in your EntityImpl class, then this can be called as part of your
    expression for an attribute default:
    adf.object.getDefaultSalaryForGrade()
    Unlike when referencing an attribute of the entity object, which can be done by simply
    referencing the attribute name, when referencing a method, you are required to prefix the
    method name with adf.object.
    So is there a way?

  • Script to to update users attribute based on EmployeeID Value from CSV file

    Hello,
    i am trying to build script that read the data from CSV file, the only data exist on this file is the EmployeeID.
    so i need to read the EmployeeID and for each employeeID exist in this sheet in need to disable that user and  change the Description to "Disabled based on the HR Request"
    below script is not working for me any help plz
    $path = "D:\Private\sample-data.csv"
    $LIST=IMPORT-CSV $path
    $UseremployeeID = $USER.employeeID
    FOREACH ($Person in $LIST) {
    $UserID = Get-ADUser -Filter {employeeID -eq ($LIST.Row[1])}
    foreach ($USER in $UserID){
    Set-ADUser -Identity $User -Description "Disabled based on the HR Request" -Enabled $false

    I managed to know the reason
    you should add -properties EmployeeID  to your code
    <snip>
    Hi,
    That's not necessary. The filtering is done serverside, so you don't need to request that it be returned.
    Example:
    Get-ADUser -Filter "Title -eq 'Some Title In Your Company'"
    Title isn't a default property, but the command above works just fine.

  • " (quotes) is column values when loading data from csv to oracle table

    I am loading a data from csv file to an oracle table.
    After the data is loaded , lets suppose the value in one column is X.
    when i write a query to fetch data like
    select * from table where col='X' then it gives no output.
    On investigating it was found that the value is stored in col as "X".
    This also happens when i copy paste the value from column to some text editor ....
    i want to remove these double quotes , and also want to know why these are coming...
    Any suggestions guys ?
    Thanks
    Using Oracle 10g

    These quotes are part of your data file. Most CSV-parsers remove those quotes.
    If you are using an external table you can remove them by something like this for your access parameters
    ORGANIZATION EXTERNAL
      TYPE ORACLE_LOADER
      ACCESS PARAMETERS
        RECORDS DELIMITED BY NEWLINE
        FIELDS TERMINATED BY ','
        OPTIONALLY ENCLOSED BY '"'
    But if you want to remove them from your existing data use this
    update your_table
      set col1 = trim( '"' from col1 )
    Note that in some CSV-files wich use an enclosing character the enclosing character is itself is used as an escape character to use the enclosing character inside a field.
    For example a field might be "Some text with ""this"" enclosed"
    To correct these fields you might use another update
    update your_table
      set col1 = replace( col1, '""', '"' )

  • Update from master data attribute

    No.of working hours(ZWOSTD) is an attribute of 0employee master data. 0employee object is there in transfer structure for info source 0HR_PA_1.
    Is it possible to get attribute value(No.of working hours) which is  char type fom 0employee masterdata.
    Please help me with this.
    Thanks a lot

    Hi,
    just do a select on view /bi0/memployee.
    select * into wa from /bi0/memployee
    where employee = comm_structure-employee
    and    objvers = 'A'
    and    dateto >= comm_structure-<date field>
    and    datefrom <= comm_structure-<date_field>.
    Make sure the content of zwostd is numeric and assign it to your keyfigure.
    result = wa-/bic/zwostd.
    That should work.
    regards

    PS: may be you need to convert the datatypes.

  • Update an attribute's Min. & Max. Attribute value after opening date

    Hi
    We have created an attribute 'projected price' on a bid invitation. The minimum and maximum attribute values will only be known after all bids have been submitted. So we need to populate the minimum and maximum attribute values after the opening date before running the evaluation report. Any assistance on how we could do this will be appreciatted.
    Regards

    I've managed to solve this by doing the following.
    <b>1) Get the items on the Bid Invitation</b>
    CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_PROCDOC_GETDETAIL'
    EXPORTING
       I_GUID                        = ip_guid
       I_OBJECT_TYPE                 = 'BUS2200'
    IMPORTING
       E_HEADER                      = ls_header
       ET_ATTACH                     = lt_attach
       ET_CONDITIONS                 = lt_conditions
       ET_DYN_ATTR                   = lt_dyn_attr
    TABLES
       E_ITEM                        = rt_items.
    <b>2) Get all the weightings for these items.</b>
      CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_PDWGT_GETDETAIL'
        EXPORTING
          i_p_guid            = ip_guid
          i_p_kind            = 'B'
          i_object_type       = 'BUS2200001'
        tables
          e_weight            = rt_weights.
    <b>3) Then updated the specific attributes values.</b>
      DATA: lt_x_weight TYPE bbpt_pds_weight_ic,
            ls_weight TYPE bbp_pds_weight_ic,
            lt_y_weight TYPE bbpt_pds_weight_ic.
      CLEAR ls_weight.
      SELECT SINGLE * INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF ls_weight
        FROM bbp_pdwgt WHERE guid = ip_guid.
      IF sy-subrc NE 0.
        EXIT.
      ENDIF.
      APPEND ls_weight TO lt_y_weight.
      ls_weight-value_amount1 = ip_min.
      ls_weight-value_amount2 = ip_max.
      ls_weight-kz            = 'U'.
      APPEND ls_weight TO lt_x_weight.
      CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_PDWGT_DB_UPDATE'
        TABLES
          i_x_weight = lt_x_weight
          i_y_weight = lt_y_weight.
      IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
        COMMIT WORK.

  • Not getting all the attributes value from Trusted Recon in eventhandler

    Hi,
    I am not getting the values of all the attributes in hashmap from Trusted recon in eventhandler.
    Following is the hashmap value I am getting :
    Parameter Hashmap value is {re_key=1869, Email=[email protected], Role=Full-Time, act_key=22, User Login=TUser43, Xellerate Type=End-User, Last Name=User43, First Name=Test}
    Please let me know how to get all the attributes value in eventhandler. I need to take some decisions based on these attributes.
    Thanks

    You should be getting all the values in the recon event.
    To get the current user states for all the records in the bulk event use this:
    Identity[] currentUserStates = (Identity[]) eventDataHashMap.get("CURRENT_USER");
    Now when you are looping through your bulkParametersp[], you can use the same get from the currentUserStates:
    Identity currentUser = null;
    currentUser = currentUserStates[counter];
    Now if the attribute is not in your hashmap, you can use:
    currentUserState.getAttributes().get(attribute)

  • How to get attribute value from standard page ?

    Hi,
    How to get attribute value from standard page ?
    String str = (String)vo.getCurrentRow().getAttrbute("RunId");
    But this value is returning a null value ....
    Can anyone help me to get this attribute value which is actually having a actual value .

    getCurrentRow() would always return null if no setCurrentRow() is used.
    Please check the page design and understand how many rows of VO are there. You can also use the following to get the row:
    vo.reset();
    vo.next();

  • How to get attribute value from an object inside an object in Xpress

    Does anyone know how to get an attribute value from an object in Xpress in a workflow? I have an object structured as follows:
    <ResourceInfo accountId='mj628' tempId='3483372b787ce7dd:-5d99a0c5:130cb238483:-3600'>
    <ObjectRef type='Resource' name='Google Apps'/>
    </ResourceInfo>
    I need if possible to get the name='Google Apps', which is inside the ObjectRef, so I guess its an attribute value of an object inside an object.

    If the ResourceInfo object is accessible in a variable, i.e. named "myResInfo", you just have to check the Java API and call the relevant method:
    <invoke name='getResourceName'>
      <ref>myResInfo</ref>
    </invoke>

  • How can I access the Attribute Values from the Search Region

    Hi all,
    I have a table which contains Company id, department id, and PositonId. For a particular Company and Department there may be multiple records.
    I have to pupulate a table which contains the position and other details that comes under a particular Department and Position based on the selection in the Three comboBoxes.
    Also I have to populate a select many Shuttle to add new postions and records under a particular Department.
    I created a query panel *(Search Region)* for the serch and a table to display the data. That is working fine.
    Now the issue is I am using a view criteria to populate the shuttle with two bind variables ie, DepartmentId and CompanyId.
    If the serach will return a resuktant set in the table it will also pupulate the correct records, otherwise ie, if the if the serch result is empty the corresponding iterator and the attribute is setting as null.
    SO I want to access the attribute values from the Search Region itsef to populate the shuttle.
    I don't know how can I access the data from the Search Region.
    Please Help.
    Regards,
    Ranjith

    you could access the parameters entered in search region by the user as follows:
    You can get handle to the value entered by the user using queryListener method in af:query.
    You can intercept the values entered as described
    public void onQueryList(QueryEvent queryEvent) {
    // The generated QueryListener replaced by this method
    //#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}
    QueryDescriptor qdes = queryEvent.getDescriptor();
    //get the name of the QueryCriteria
    System.out.println("NAME "+qdes.getName());
    List<Criterion> searchList = qdes.getConjunctionCriterion().getCriterionList();
    for ( Criterion c : searchList) {
    if (c instanceof AttributeCriterion ) {
    AttributeCriterion a = (AttributeCriterion) c;
    a.getValues();
    for ( Object o : a.getValues()){
    System.out.println(o.toString());
    //call default Query Event
    invokeQueryEventMethodExpression("#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}",queryEvent);
    public void onQueryTable(QueryEvent queryEvent) {
    // The generated QueryListener replaced by this method
    //#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}
    QueryDescriptor qdes = queryEvent.getDescriptor();
    //get the name of the QueryCriteria
    System.out.println("NAME "+qdes.getName());
    invokeQueryEventMethodExpression("#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}",queryEvent);
    private void invokeQueryEventMethodExpression(String expression, QueryEvent queryEvent){
    FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ELContext elctx = fctx.getELContext();
    ExpressionFactory efactory = fctx.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();
    MethodExpression me = efactory.createMethodExpression(elctx,expression, Object.class, new Class[]{QueryEvent.class});
    me.invoke(elctx, new Object[]{queryEvent});
    Thanks,

  • How to get attribute values from one view to another

    HI all,
    Thx in Advance..
    I have 2 view like v1,v2.In v1 i used one attribute values from "get single attribute" method.And i need the same values in v2 screen.For this i did in v1 outbound plugs , i mentioned the parameter name . How can i get the same values in  v2.

    Hi chandru ,
    you said you declare the parameters in the Outbound Plug of V1.  now go to view V2 inbound plug Tab and creat one inbound plug
    double click on the plug name .it will navigate you to the event handeler method . Now add the outbound parameter variables in the
    parameters
    For example : V1firing the navigation plug
    a type string " defined in parameter
      wd_this->fire_out_to_view2_plg(
        a =      'ABCD'                           " string
    you can retrive the value freely in v2 inbound event handeler
    a type string " defined in parameter
    *   set single attribute
        lo_el_context->set_attribute(
          name =  `TEXT`
          value =  a )." here you will get the 'ABCD'.
