Update file properties on existing measurement files using NI Diadem

Hi,
I have several TDM measurement files, which has properties such as sample type, test conditions, etc. I manage all the measurment files using NI Diadem.
I want to change the properties in each file. How can I modify the properties of the measurement file easily? I realized that I put wrong numbers into the property blank when I did the measurement.
One more question, I want to add additional properties and values to existing TDM measurement files. How can I do that?

Hello Hyunseok,
If you are familiar with the VBScript interface, use the "DataFileHeader" object, which you get returned from the "DataFileHeaderAccess()" function.
There are some examples in the help system on how to use this ...
Basically, you would write a short script that opens the TDM header, replaced/adds the property you want to edit, and does that on any number of files.

You can't.
If you have properties that change dynamically, you should not be using a properties file that sits in the classpath, you should be using Preferences, or a properties file that sits in some application or possibly even user directory, but not one in the classpath. The proper way to do this, would be to have a properties file in your jar (or otherwise in your classpath) that contains the defaults, and another one outside of the classpath in one of the twwo above mentioned areas, then, you read the default one only if the other doesn't exist, or you read the default one first, then read the other overwriting the values from the defaults.
Don't forget to save the properties again (right after loading if you loaded, or always load, the defaults) after every change.

How to update file in Jar using API

Hi,
I have a jar file (actually a war file), and I need to update the properties in one of the files before I deploy it.
I have been able to open it, get the correct JarEntry, load the properties, update the properties, but am struggling to figure out how to save it back to the Jar file?
Any ideas?

Because we deploy it in many customers. They will
obviously have different ip addresses eg for the

DavidI wasn't implying that your build process is only run one time. The build process can be run each time you build for each deployment. So do you mean you only want to deliver one generic WAR to each customer, and you want this change of properties to happen on the customer side somehow? What code are you going to run on that side to change it - not code in your web app because at that point it's too late - you've already loaded the web app and its files, which this/these property files are a part of. Sounds like you need a "build process" to bundle up the app for each unique target.
Alternatively you could investigate adding or altering the manifest file in the WAR (or EAR) file to reference an additional standalone, or loose, directory (outside the WAR/EAR structure) and put your property files there. Then that directory would become part of your app's classpath just like it were in your WAR/EAR, and you could update that file independently.

How to update XML file using XSLT

Hi there,
I have a "small" issue with exporting data to an XML file using XSLT.
A two steps process is needed to import data from a non-hierarchical XML file into ABAP, change the data, and then update the XML file with new values. The problem is not trivial, since the format of the XML file is a complex one: there are many interdependent elements on the same level, pointing to each other by using id and ref attributes. Based on these values the data can be read and written into an internal table. I use XSLT and XPath for that. So the inbound process is done and seems to work correctly. I have to mention that the file contains much more data than I need. I am working only with a small part of it.
Now the changed data must be exported back into the XML file, meaning that the content of certain elements must be updated. How can this be done with XSLT? I can pass only the internal table to the transformation, so how do I access the XML file in order to update it? I have tried to use the <B>xsl:document()</B> function to access the content of the file store locally on my PC, but it fails each time by throwing and URI exception. I have tried the absolute path without any addition and the path with the file:/// addition. Same result. Please advise.

Unfortunately I don't have the
"org.eclipse.swt.win32.win32.x86_3.1.2.jar" file. On my computer
the folder is not set up the same way (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex
Builder 2\plugins) instead it is set up as (C:\Program

everything and that file just isn't in there. I've re downloaded it
twice. Still not there. Is there anything else i can do.

Write to existing file using servlets

Every time I try to read an existing file using my current set of servlets, I get "File cannot be found". I don't understand what the problem is because I'm using the exact same location as the code where I read the document. Is there something else I'm missing? I've tried countless methods of writing, each will compile and such, but all give me the same result (IE nothing). Here's how my horrific code looks right now. Much was taken from the previous code that checks the passwords file.
Technically, it compiles and runs, but I get "java.io.FileNotFoundException: \WEB-INF\passwords (The system cannot find the path specified)" in the output. The file IS THERE and can be read in my password checking servlet without a problem...

I need to fetch an xml file in a string of type xstring. I am using class cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_upload.
This returns me content in table format, than i am planning to conver to xstring.
Is there any better approach or any existing function module any one know of ?

Files using template not updating after moving

On this site "C" (see link) site I want to move the Template&Library folder and get them inside the local root folder, which is actually "Os". When I move it in DW the links are updated nice - but when I change the template, the files using it are not updated. Anyone care to tell me how to move these two folders to Os folder and not experiencing this problem?

You should never had a folder named "public_html" in a properly defined site.
And "Os" is not the root folder of the C site. You would need a NEW site definition with Os as the root for the Templates to work properly.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. For the iPad Mini the iOS is 6.0.2. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
