Update ios8.1 - and then it had a completely different Apple ID associated with my phone? I'm very confused.
I was wondering if someone could explain how this could occur. I attemed the update (ios 8.1) and it ended abruptly which caused my phone to need to be restored. I attempted to do this and when completed and putting in my information, the phone's itunes account was associated with a completely new email (someone's name that is not mine). I'm curious what this could mean.
The paranoid/irrational side of me fears for personal privacy and was wondering if there were more details.
Did you buy a used iPhone? It appears that it's locked to that account.

From the information that you have provided, it sounds like your Apple ID has been disabled. You can read this to see how you can troubleshoot that issue.

You can try signing out of your ID on the iPad and sign in with his ID and see if that works.

I recently updated my ipad and then I connected with my computer for sync, not realising that I had a new version of itunes with none of my apps. Now I have lost all of the apps and books etc, that I had prurchased. How do I get them back?

i tried updating my ipod, and then it turned off, and then just said connect to itunes, and when i did, it said i had to restore it. so, i restored it, and it did nothing and still said connect to itunes. help?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

How come sometimes my iPod Touch gets stuck updating an app and then just deletes it?
How come sometimes my iPod Touch gets stuck updating an app and then just deletes it instead?
The update bar on the app gets stuck on empty and then the next time I sync the app gets deleted.
It is really annoying to lose all my data when updating an app, and it has happend more than once!
Any idea why it does this? I am scared to update my favorite apps for fear that they could be deleted.
-SamI never had an app being deleted. You can always udate the app on the computer and then sync.

I was informed via Secunia that I needed to update Flash Player and then was given link to do so.

After going into Adobe to see if I was installed correctly I found that the program was installed and I had the new version 10.0.45.2. When I try to play a game that I have been playing for months, I get the message that I need Flash Player version 8 or above. What am I doing wrong and what do I need to do now?

What confuses me is that most of not all of the dates say 1/26/10. Doesn't give a date of yesterday when I did Flash Player for Firefox. Is that normal?
Bottom line -- I can now do the games in Firefox that I haven't been able to play since I installed Firefox. Wouldn't let me play some other video files as well.
I am still unable to do slow scrolling in e-mail or other webpages when I make the page full screen. that is only in Comcast and not AOL. It must be a Comcast problem so will have to get in touch with them.
Let me know if all my files in Flash are okay.

Whenever I try to open an app on my Mac it just bounces on my dock and then settles. At first it bounced the disappeared, and then I had to reinstall it, but now it just bounces. Any help?
Try one or more of the following:
> Restart Your Computer
> Uninstall and Reinstall iTunes
> Reset iPod (nothing will get deleted)
> Look in My Computer (Windows 98, XP) OR Computer (Windows Vista or 7) and see if your iPod is in there.
In some cases (and this happened to me before) plug your iPod in and out your computer a few times. It should get it going. If not, then I strongly recommend starting your computer. -
When i try to do a software update, it finishes and then says that the update cannot be saved because it has probably been corrupted during the download. This has happened a number of times and i do not know why, any help?

Updates do not normally require any kind of password access. It is more likely your machine's security is asking for you to allow things to be updated.

I need to update to Lion and then Mountain Lion, but I need a CD or other means to update as my internet is too slow and I have a GB limit. Is this possible?
Thanks for your response. I was told, obviously misinformed, that you needed to dl Lion prior to Mountain Lion, so thanks for clarifying that. I cannot dl from the internet as it is too slow and I have limited GB per month. I know, at one point, you could purchase a jumpdrive with Lion for those of us who have this problem or no internet access. I will check into that via Apple or try to borrow internet service from a friend and move my computer there.
