Update Property Promotion Column Value in InfoPath Document Library

Hello All,
I just tried to update a property promotion value using this code:
using (SPSite site = new SPSite(webName))
                    using (SPWeb objweb = site.OpenWeb())
                        SPList spList = objweb.Lists["XYZ"];
                        SPQuery qry = new SPQuery();
                        qry.Query = @"<Where>" +
                      "<Eq>" +
                      "<FieldRef Name='ServiceR' /><Value Type='WorkflowStatus'>17</Value>" +
                      "</Eq>" +
                      "</Where>";
                        qry.ViewFields = @"<FieldRef Name='Title' /><FieldRef Name='Evaluation_x0020_Status' />";
                        SPListItemCollection listItems = spList.GetItems(qry);
                        objweb.AllowUnsafeUpdates = true;
                        if (listItems.Count > 0)
                            foreach (SPListItem item in listItems)
                                if (item["Evaluation_x0020_Status"] == null)
                                    item["Evaluation_x0020_Status"] = "Evaluation Completed";
                                    item.Update();
                        objweb.AllowUnsafeUpdates = true;
The code exexuted but the value does not updated !!
Any Answer ?

  • Restricting user access based on a site column value in a document library.

    We have a business requirement to show the contents of a document library based on a value (or values) in the site column (or multiple columns). For example, my document library has a custom site column called confidentiality. This
    will have values like restricted, internal and public. Now, based on the AD Group the user belongs to, I should be able to control the access to Restricted or Restricted and Internal files from the document library. We are using SharePoint Online 2010.
    Please suggest the best way to achieve this requirement?

    SharePoint's security model doesn't allow you to specify security based on metadata. You could however create a Sandboxed Solution containing a Feature that registers a custom event receiver on the Document Library. The logic inside this
    Event Receiver would fire after editing item properties (ItemUpdated) to apply item-level permissions based on the rules you need.
    Make sure to read the article below to determine if fine-grained permissions are suitable in your case:

  • How to get Custom-Content-type Column Value of a Document Library-Folder

    Hello
    I have to add a custom-column(folder-imageURL) for Folders in a Document Library.
    So I have created a Custom-CotentType "FolderCtype" with new column "folder-imageURL" and attached in the Document Library.
    Whenever I create a new folder in that document library I will select my "FolderCtype" & and then add an image url in "folder-imageURL" column.
    How do I access this image url in Code?
    part of my code is as follows.
    SPContentType cntType = List.ContentTypes["FolderCtype"];
    SPField field = cntType.Fields.GetField("folder-imageURL");  //I have Field name here//
     foreach (SPFolder folder in RtFolder.SubFolders)
                        if (folder.Name.ToUpper() != "FORMS")
                           string FolderName = folder.Name;
                          string FolderImageUrl = ?              //How can I get this????//
    Thanks in advance

    Hi, Patrickm, Thank You
    If your “folder-imageURL” column is a “Hyperlink or Picture” column, then you can get the hyperlink like this:
    SPListItem item = folder.Item;
    if (item[field.Title] != null)
    string FolderImageUrl = item[field.Title].ToString().Split(',')[0];
    Console.WriteLine(FolderImageUrl);
    Best regards,

  • Powershell script to change the a column value of all documents in a site.

    Hi,
    I need a powershell script to change the value of a column (a site column which has been added to all document libraries) in all documents in a site,
    For example:
    -column 1 is a site column added to all libraries
    the value of column 1 of all documents under this site: http://intranet.doman/ex1 should be equal to V1
    the value of column 1 of all documents under this site: http://intranet.doman/ex2 should be equal to V2
    So, if I can write a powershell script to change the value of all documents in a site, I can modify it for different site that I have and run it for each of them individually,

  • Update tabular report column value using AJAX

    Hi,
    I'm developing an online store application whereby I would like the user to be able browse a list of products (tabluar report), enter an order quantity against a product and click a 'Buy' button (column link). This should then update a collection with the selected product id and order quantity. However, I'm struggling with how to update the order qty column value.
    See http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=33248:1 for an example
    The report displays the products from demo_product_info table. I have an additional column in the report SQL for the order quantity (set to '1').
    I'm using a column link on the product_id column that sets
    P1_TEMP_PRODUCT_ID = #PRODUCT_ID#
    P1_TEMP_QTY = #QTY_ORDERED#
    then re-renders the page.
    I have a page rendering process that takes the values from the temp items and updates a collection.
    When the user changes the order quantity, how do I update session state so the new value is picked up by the column link?
    Thanks,
    Andrew.

    To update session state you might check out this article titled, "ApEx: Setting session state from within a PL/SQL Package/Procedure/Function" at http://atulley.wordpress.com/2007/05/17/apex-setting-session-state-from-within-a-plsql-packageprocedurefunction/
    It says:
    The answer lies in the set_sesssion_state procedure found in the APEX_UTIL package. E.g.
    APEX_UTIL.set_session_state(
    p_name => ‘PX_MY_ITEM’
    , p_value => ‘wibble’);
    Now, I have a question for you. Once you set the value of the column in session state, how will you make that value be put in the database?
    Thanks, Maggie

  • Update all null columns value in single row statement

    4) Write a single SQL statement to update all the columns of a table to have -9 instead of null value
    e.g:
    Before update:
    C1     C2     C3
    null     9     null
    10     null     88
    12     8     0
    After update:

    -9     9     -9
    10     -9     88
    12     8     0

  • Issue when filtering with Managed Metadata Columns in Share Point Document Library

    Hi All
    I have a document library, and a four Metadata Columns in it, with each column having a number of term in it. I have no issues in adding a document or in term sets. We have set property of Managed Metadata Column as Allow Multiple Values. So some of the items
    in library contains values with only one term set. While other documents contains values with multiple values.
    We have a number of country sites having the document library  with same metadata columns. In document library default view i am showing Metadata column, User want to filter the documents (view) based on Metadata column selected.
    The filtering is giving inconsistent behavior. In production server it is giving in error with some correlation ID. On our development machine some times it is working fine and some other times it is given error of Validation of Viewstate MAC failed. i tried
    on different countries sites.
    I checked we have already kept the Metadata Navigation and Filtering under site action feature as activated. It was even more weird when i deactivated the feature on one country site and the filtering was working fine. And on other country site where i
    kept the feature as activated and the filtering was giving an error.
    Thanks & Regards
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
    Have you checked the ULS error message for more information with correlation ID?
    Please try using the library metadata navigation to filter these managed metadata columns value via configuring library "Metadata navigation settings" after you enabled the "Metadata Navigation and Filtering" feature,
    then check if the issue would still persist.
    Please see more information from below article with similar issue.

  • How do I change the name property of a file in a document library?

    I am trying to come up with an Event Receiver that will change the name property of an file when it is uploaded. For instance when a file is uploaded into a document Library, currently the Title is being generated (which is fine)...I want to be able to
    change the "Name" property from whatever it is, to match exactly what is in the "Title" property. Are there any sample codes/blogs out there that I can take a look at? Has anyone  had any experience doing this? It seems like something
    that should be straight forward, to change the "Name" property to match what is in the "Tilte" property.

    Hi,
    You can try the code below which use the SPFile.MoveTo() function to change the name of the file.
    EventFiringEnabled = false;
    SPFile f = properties.ListItem.File;
    string spfileExt = new FileInfo(f.Name).Extension;
    f.MoveTo(properties.ListItem.ParentList.RootFolder.Url +
    "/" + properties.ListItem["Title"]+ "_new" + spfileExt);
    f.Update();
    EventFiringEnabled = true;

  • Searching DI API Property for column text in marketing document

    Hi,
    I am searching the property for entering information into the column rdr1.text.
    I found the following information in the help file:
    ItemDetails Sets or returns the item details in the marketing document line.
    Field name: Text.
    Length: 16 characters.
    Text Returns the text property.
    Field name: text.
    Both properties are not working because the second one is a read only field.
    Thanks and Regards Chris

    Hello Chris,
    you may try the property "FreeText" of DocumentLines.
    Cheers,
    Roland
    PS.:
    You can switch on the system-information (CtrlShiftD).
    Then in the bottom of B1 the propertys of a form-field are shown on mouseover. This helps often to find the right keyword for the SDK-Help.
    In this case it shows the column name in DB: "FreeTxt"

  • Update Upper row column value in null column in sql 2008

    Hi All,
    I want to update Upper row value into lower null value column dynamically . i have 10000 record .
    any one have  sql query or any idea.Please help
    Akhilesh Sahu Sr.Software Developer

    Hi akhilesh,
    Based on your description, you want to Sorting by a specified order that NULL value should be located in the bottom of some columns. If in this scenario, we can try to add a calculated field to convert the values of the field to A, B depend on the specified
    order. Then Sorting the field by A to Z to achieve your requirement. For more details, please refer to the following steps:
    Right-click the dataset to add a calculated field named Order with the expression like below:
    =iiF(Fields!CircleId.Value="","B","A")
    Right-click the report item to open the properties dialog box.
    Click Sorting in the left pane, then add a sorting as below:
    Sort by: [Order]
    Order: A to Z
    If you have any other questions, please feel free to let me know.
    Thanks,

  • Data updated by another user when trying to update a CLOB column value

    I just recently upgraded to version 1.2.1 (Build MAIN-32.13), and since I have, I am now getting this message when editing the text within a CLOB column of a table:
    Data you attempted to update was updated by another user. You will have to rollback and refresh the table. Rollback now?
    I am confident that no one else is in the table, as I am the only one connected to this DB right now. Also, I have shut down SQL Developer completely and restarted it. Again, I get the same error.
    Also, the CLOB is less than 2500 characters, so it's not a limitation with the 4k chars.
    I really can't update it easily via SQL because there is formatting in the text (carriage
    returns, etc).
    Any ideas? Any workarounds?
    Thanks,
    -Vikki

    OK. A few things I've noticed as I've played with it more.
    1 - It does not happen on EVERY update to a CLOB. (Some save successfully.)
    2 - Once I get it on a CLOB, it seems to happen then on every subsequent CLOB.
    3 - It's not just one table -- several tables do it.
    4 - It's not even just updating CLOB columns -- I just had it happen on a varchar2 column where there is also a CLOB in the table.
    Thank you for the instructions on how to see the debug console. Here is what I got as an exception (and sorry for the line wrapping):

  • Need to update a single column in a table with some other column value

    Hi experts,
    I was about to change one column data type in a table. Then I renamed that column name to "old_column_name" . Later I added new column name with required datatype( My case its NCLOB). Now I want to update the new column value with old column value.I mean i have to copy the data. But data amount is very huge. Its more than 1.5 crores of data. But on promote day, I have only 1 hr of outage. Please suggest the effective solution to achieve this.

    Hi Stew
    I have 1 primary key in my table and 11 foreign keys in my table.there are 20 check constraints as well.
    If i go for an online redefine of a table, these objects will be created back automatically?
    Please clarify.
    This is my table. Here Remarks is the column with CLOB datatype. To support multi language, I need to change it to NCLOB. That column having data so i cant rename it.
    So I added new column , after renaming that remarks to old_remarks. Now new column remarks is ready with NCLOB data type, but no data in it.
    To copy the old remarks column into new remarks column, i thought to write one script. But how it is achievable using "DBMS_REDEFINITION". Please explain me,
    create table XXXXXXXXXX
