Updated itunes 10.41 and iphone 4 to ios 6, now itunes dose not recognise my iphone as says it needs to be upgraded to 10.4 already is HELP
Iphone 4 has been upgraded to ios 6 and also have downloaded 10.4 on my mac. mac does not recognise iphone and tells me i need to upgrade phone through itunes. have done this with both items but does not recognise iphone . HELP
iTunes 10.7 is the current version and the one needed for iOS 6

I upgraded my iPhone 4 last evening to iOS 6, the upgrade completed and the device was usable. Then in the morning I went to the device to check E-mail, Voice Messages, Test Messages, etc... and the phone was dead. I tried plugging the device into a charger (for a couple of hours) - still dead. Plugged into computer with iTunes, device not recognized or discovered, and iPhone was still dead... Took the iPhone into an Apple Store and the Technician looked it over for any visible signs of defect/malfunction, then performed various tasks to breathe life into the phone - nothing... His suggestion, at this point, was to replace the phone. He speculated that the iOS upgrade possibly corrupted the iPhone's charging firmware, and that this device was now a BRICK. Keep in mind that the phone and it's charging abilities were perfectly fine prior to the iOS Upgrade. I hate to go through the replacement hassle and the cost ($159.00) when the iOS upgrade caused the problem. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I spent last week looking for a solution to that little yellow "!" needle haystack....
It is probably buried where nothing can touch or change it other than what I resorted to and would have saved time, clean install after I made sure to have two backup sets: Windows Easy Transfer plus Paragon clone OS and partitions to drive. Had to spend a full day reinstalling, updates, etc. Careful not to bring back any prefs or data that might be corrupt or wrong.
10.5 and iOS 5 on new iPod 4G works much better though and as they should and no issues like I had with AMS or other services or needing to restart first before launching iTunes. -
Firefox was updating the other day and the PC crashed during this. Now unable to open firefox at all

What does the message say exactly? Are you sure it's not telling you the phone has no more space?

Please check in Settings: General: Keyboard: International Keyboards how many there are and which.
If there is more than one you can either delete the ones that you don't use, or if you want to type on different ones at different times you can change between them using the key with a world that appears when you are using the keyboard. -
My iphone 4s ios 7/0/4 will not update music or apps from itunes 11.1.3. this was true with my pc since ios 7.0.3 even with update 7.0.4 and now continues with my new MacPro also runing itunes 11.1.3. as most state in previous threads, syncs all non itunes related data with no issue and appears to work correctly on itunes data but then hangs on the last step of updating until it times out. i have tried marking specific music to transfer, setting up new playlist, deleting some old playlist on phone but stopped short of restoring my phone back to new due to the amount of non itunes data that i will lose. The itunes setup on the macpro was completely with the download of all music from a previous external backup and the creation of new playlist - on the first sync with existing phone it did ask to overwrite all phone itunes data with macpro itunes data which i did accept - no different result - no changes on phone.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the problem continues, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement. -

Try to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. When you see "Connect to iTunes" on the screen, you can release the Home button and iTunes will display the recovery mode message. Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow theadvanced iTunes Store troubleshooting steps to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information."
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.

I go to sync my Iphone 4 (IOS 5) with iTunes on my mac and is is stuck on step 8 "waiting to copy items" it has been like this for over an hour. What can i do to fix this problem????
If you are stuck at the blue screen then you can try booting into safe mode (hold shift during boot) and then run disk repair. If that still doesn't fix it then you might have to reinstall OS X. What version of OS X are you running?

After I updated to iOS 5, my computer does not detect my iPhone 4. Not only that, all my backed up data was erased. =/ I cannot even sync my iPhone if it is not detected. What can I do? The USB ports are working. It is fully charged. I have restarted the phone and computer various times. But nothing works.
There is no way to consolidate iTunes accounts.
Setting up an iPhone has never required creation of a new Apple ID.
You've apparently purchased content with both Apple ID's. Sign into the device with the correct Apple ID and sync the content.
