Our phone contacts merged. Different iphones but now we have the same phone contacts.
Why and how do we get back to our own phone contacts?

Apparently phone is synced over icloud.
So, since we both share the same account and both sync over icloud, I guess our contacts were synced.
I guess we are the only two people in the world who have two iphones on one account.
I did not see a way to separate contacts.

I guess we have to get separate itunes accounts and delete contacts manually.
While I'm here, glad to learn that all my apps are deleted on sync unless I check the box to NOT DELETE APPS ON SYNC.
Since the box is unchecked, I guess most people prefer to NOT sync their apps so by default people loose all their apps upon sync.

They will be gone from the iphone, but you should be syning all contacts to your computer regularly and should be importing all pics to your computer regularly, particularly before any update.

The prompt to connect to iTunes is automatic, but not the restore process. You must manually select restore. There is no automatic restore.

I have used Firefox for years on my Mac laptop for years, I tried to update to version 4 and now I have no Firefox and every time I download the the Firefox the emblem has a awhite circle with a cross through it, so I can't drag it to applications.

The support page is ridiculous, it assumes you already have Firefox and that the install went fine. I am having trouble with an update to Version 4. I have an ibook G4 running OS X. I have used Firefox for years. When I downloaded the update, the Firefox logo thing that you are supposed to drag to the Applications folder has a white circle with a line through it. I have rebooted many times and have updated all other software.

I wouldn't trust any Firefox "update" from a non-Mozilla website. Sometimes, unofficial builds contain adware or malware. If you want to use Firefox for AOL do so at your own risk.

Did an update to my imac and now I have missing apps

Can someone please guide me through this, I did an update to my imac because I heard it's good to always update. So I did it and just left it cause I knew it would take awhile cause it was my first time updating it. When I came back to it, I turned it back on and my iphoto wouldn't open..it had a question mark symbol over it and it did the same with my photobooth. It won't open and just a question mark symbol over it. So I check out my Apps folder and they are GONE and I checked out other file folders like utilities and some app is missing from there too. Do you know which update? First thing to do right now is to open up Disk Utility in Applications> Utilities in your Hard Drive Folder. Select the drive, which is the topmost listing and click on the Verify Disk button. If you get a good report there, no errors, then go on to Repair Permissions. This will take up to an hour in Leopard so give it time. If Disk Utility finds errors, post back for more directions.

What were you upgrading? I mean was this a new OS like Mavericks or just some application upgrade?
Try restarting the machine and holding down the Command and R keys. Does it boot to the Recovery partition and can you see it? That at least tells if this is a hardware problem.

what would you like us to do for you? You need to restore. No way around this.
Since no one in their right mind wouldn't have backed up their device before doing something major like updating their iOS version, once you get your phone working again, simply restore it from the backup you made before upgrading.

Most users blame the implementation of Save As… as not working as it has in the past. I believe the issue is that autosave will save all changes but you can revert the original document to a previous version.
