Updating attributes for InfoObject
I am getting below error while trying to load the master data "0MAT_PLANT" using DTP.
" There are duplicates of the data record 1 & with the key ' &' for
characteristic 0MAT_PLANT &. "
Tetted following.
1.vealidated the data in PSA, thers is no duplicate entries.
2.In the DTP monitor, I can see..
1.Extraction DataSource 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR : Green
2.Filter Out New Records with the Same Key : Green
3.RSDS 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR -> IOBJ 0MAT_PLANT : Green
4.Updating attributes for InfoObject 0MAT_PLANT : Red (falied)
I was performin the data load with only one record eventhough I m agetting this error measge Duplicates entries" , your help on this greatly appericiated..

Hi,
Check if it is full upload from PSA, and check how many PSA request are coming when you pull the data.
Might be in other request in PSA have duplicate entries.
When you pull the data from DTP as Full it will select all the request from PSA..
Check this..

Master Data load via DTP (Updating attribute section taking long time)
Hi all,
Iam loading to a Z infoobject. Its a master data load for attributes.Surprisingly, i could find that PSA pulls records very fastly( 2 minutes) but the DTP which updates the infoobject takes a lot of time. It runs into hours.
When observed the DTP execution monitor, which shows the breakup of time between extraction,filter,transformation,updation of attributes
i could observe that the last step "updation of attributes for infoobject" is taking lots of time.
The masterdata infoobject has got also two infoobjects compounded.
In transformation ,even they are mapped.
No of parallel processes for the DTP was set to 3 in our system.
Job Class being "C".
Can anyone think of what could be the reason.Hi,
Check the T code ST22 for any short dump while loading this master data. There must be some short dump occured.
There is also a chance that you are trying to load some invalid data (like ! character as a first character in the field) into the master.

OIM - Error updating the Teminal Services Attributes for a Users AD account
Hi,
I am trying to populate 'Terminal Profile Path', 'Terminal Home Directory' and 'Terminal Allow Login' attributes for a users Active DIrectory account from the OIM admin interface. and the request keeps getting rejected in OIM.
*1) I get the below message in OIM -*
Response: non-JRMP server at remote endpoint
Response Description: Unknown response received
Error Details
Setting task status... "non-JRMP server at remote endpoint" does not correspond to a known Response Code. Using "UNKNOWN".

*3)* I confirmed that RemoteManager is running by going to the design console. Administration -> Remote Manager. And I see that RManager service has both Running and IT Resource to be selected.
But, when I shutdown remote manager and look at the Remote Manager from design console it only has the IT Resource to be selected.
So, I am assuming the OIM is seeing the RManager service to be active when it is running,
Please let me know if you have any ideas of how I should go about resolving this issue.

I am using 'BBP_UPDATE_ATTRIBUTES' function module to load the Default Attributes for the users in a custom program. I am able to update many attributes like company code, Movement type, catalog id, material usage, shop on behalf of and address ship to. But I am having problem updating extended attributes Plants(Attribute ID 'WRK') and Storage Locations (Attribute ID 'LAG').
Storage location and Plants has many values. Can anyone have experienced this problem before. I appreciate any help I get. I debugged enough and not able to find any other function module to do this.

Problem in Updating marketing attributes for Contact
Hi,
I am trying to update marketing attributes for contact and Account while Creating lead. For this I implemented ORDER_SAVE (Chek before save).
For account, the marketing attributes are getting updated fine. But, for Contact they are not getting updated. For both I am using the same code. But, I dont understand, why.
Please, let me know why this is happening.
Here is the code i used.

You can use 'CRM_MKTBP_UPDATE_ATTR_BP' FM to update the marketing attributes of the BP.

The "changed by" and "changed at" are logged on attribute level, not on attribute value level. When you change one specific value, the system does a "re-insert" of all existing values of this attribute.
Take a look at the SAP notes 938426 and 966670 these may assit you in resolving the issue.

I'm in the deployment test phase for some apps on forms 11.1.2.1 from Windows to Linux.
My client laptop is running Java 7 Update 25.
Before putting things to run on the application server, i resigned some jar files apart from jabob, using sign_webutil.

"Attribute Only" InfoObject in a DSO
Hi All,
I have a infoobject as a data field in a DSO. This infoocject is marked as "attribute only"
If i am displaying the data in new / active table, i am able to see this field and the corresponding data.
But if i am displaying the data through 'manage' i am not even gettinig this field in the field selection tab and this field is not getting displayed in the output
If i try to make a query over this DSO then also i am not getting this object in the query designer.
Is it because this particular object is "attribute only" or can there be any other reason?
please help me solve this.

If you check an object as attribute only characteristic can be used only as a display attribute for another characteristic.. You can include the object in DSO..but it wont be visible in transformation for mapping..
Check in where used list to identify the master data object for which it is an attribute.. If the master data object is available in your DSO.. you can use display attr in report..
that is.. if xxx is an object -'attribute only'.. YYY is a master data wit xxx as display attribute... IF YYY is available in DSO, use display attribute YYY_XXX in report
or
If you want the 'attribute only' object to be updated from transaction data.. uncheck 'attribute only' indicator and use it in report.. -

How to update attributes from OIM to AD in case of LDAPSync
Hi All,
In our scenario, we have LDAPSync configured for OIM AD Integration. OIM version is OIM 11gR2 PS1 (11.1.2.1.0.0)
It is working fine and On user creation in OIM ,RealTime user creation under specified container in AD is happening.It is SSL enabled,so password is also getting updated from OIM to AD.
But we have following conflicting scenario --
- As per our requirement we have to generate random password for User in OIM. For that we have PostProcess event handler implemented in OIM.
- We have tested LDAPSync by creating user manually through OIM console. While creating user manually, we have provided value for password attribute along with other attributes.
So, password attribute in AD will get updated for User along with all other attributes values mapped for AD from OIM.
- But, in our scenario random password is generated for User through OIM post process event handler and it will be updated again in user profile of user created manually in OIM. This password is sent to User through mail.
As this password event handler will get triggered after LDAPSnyc only, this password will not be update in AD for manually created user in OIM. So he can log into OIM with this new password but not to AD system.
He will be able to login to AD system with same User ID but with password which was set at time of manual User Creation in OIM and not with the password updated in OIM user profile by PostProcess event handler.
Is it possible to set password for user through PreProcess even handler implementation for Random Password generation. In this case also , the default OIM post process
password generator will override the PreProcess event handler.How to resolve this issue.
Also,when AD connector is in place in OIM environment we would be having change/update tasks for any attribute update to be send from OIM to AD.
How this update scenario will be implemented from OIM to AD in case of LDAPSync ?
Please provide any helpful pointer on this.

Help required specifying Transation attributes for this scenario

I am trying to create/update rows in a database using BMP and CMP beans.
A business method ( Method1 )in session bean calls a non-business method ( Method2) in the same session bean which inturn calls an EntityBean ( EB1-BMP) . EB1 can throw a certain business exception upon which , the Method1 in the session bean calls another EntityBean in a loop( EB2-CMP).
The problem is that , when the EB1 throws the business exception, i am getting an exception ( part of the stack trace attached below ).
Could any please explain what should be the transaction attributes to be specified for this scenario.
Using RequiresNew for the EntityBeans would not work ( or would it ?? ) because the entity bean is being called in a loop and the commit or rollback should happen for all the methods.
I feel the problem should be solved by specifying the transaction attribute for Method2 ( non business method in session bean ) as Required, but i guess this is not possible.
How exactly will the transaction behave in this scenario, is the exception caused because EB1 has thrown an exception and i am trying to continue the transaction.
Could someone please suggest a solution or workaround for this problem.

I am facing a strange problem in calling API pa_project_pub.UPDATE_TASK. It updates fields like task name, description etc, but it doesn;t updates attribute8, or any attribute fields. The DFF which is on this table pa_tasks, is context basis, and we are updating it for 'Shipping' context, and I am giving this value means 'Shipping' in attribute_category fields, becasue in table pa_tasks, it stores this value in attribute_category only.

If the issue is yet to be resolved after checking and compiing the invalid objects, as suggested by Hussein, then you can do the following:
- Check the responsibility ID of "Projects, Vision Operations (USA)", the one you are using. In vision instances the responsibility ID 20420 (as provided in apps_initialize) is little odd. In 11.5.10.x and R12 vision instances the responsibility ID is normally 56486. Though it can be different in your instance.
- If the responsiblity ID is correct OR you are using a different responsibility then check whether responsibility Menu is having "Open Integration Toolkit Funtions Menu" submenu (without any prompt) assigned and active (grants checkbox). Please also check within this submenu whether "Activity Management Gateway:Add Task" function is assigned and active (grants checkbox)
- For seeded Project responsibilities the submenu & underlying function is seeded, but if you using a non project responsibility for creating project/ task etc then that responsibility should have "Open Integration Toolkit Funtions Menu" submenu (without any prompt) assigned and active.
