Updating copied articles

Will a copied article update if the original article is updated?
Workflow example:
I have two accounts: development and production
In my "development" account, I created a folio [FOLIO_A]. Once it was approved, I shared FOLIO_A with "production".
In my "production" account, I created a new, blank folio [FOLIO_B]. I copied the articles from FOLIO_A into FOLIO_B. Then I published FOLIO_B.
-- I used the "Copy To..."command in the Folio Producer Editor to copy articles between folios.--
Now, I need to work on the "development" folio [FOLIO_A] and make some changes. I do not want the changes to go into the "production" folio [FOLIO_B] yet.
If I update FOLIO_A, will FOLIO_B automatically update.
And a related question: If I delete FOLIO_A, will FOLIO_B continue to function?

When you copy a folio or copy articles from one folio to another, no connection exists between the folios. If you edit Folio_A, the changes won't roll into Folio_B. You can delete Folio_A and keep using Folio_B. (I'm referring to copied folios/articles, not shared folios. When you update the shared parent folio, the share recipients are prompted to update the folio.)
By the way, a better workflow might be to copy the entire folio rather than copying articles within a folio:
