Updating Ordered List View

Hi,
In our report , we are using updating ordered List View. In this view we specified sort conditions on some fields which does the default sorting when report gets generated.
Now, the user would like to sort the results by clicking on the column name at run time. How do we achieve this functionality in this view ? If not , is there any alternative view available ?

I think in the current version - sorting as a enduser-function is not available.

In my flash application i have a combination of three list boxes L1, L2, L3 and a URL-Button UB. The lists shown by L2 depends on the result of L1 and L3 depends on L2 and the data of L2 und L3 come by QAWS. The Button UB has a URL with Parameters from L2 and L3.
The QAWS refreshes after changes L1. For performance reasons, the data for L2 and L3 ist provided by one web service.
The order on the screen is
L1
L2
L3
UB
as a user expects it: First one chooses L1, then L2 (depending on L1), then L3 and then he gets the result by clicking UB. Because of this structure, in the object browser the order of the elements has to UB, L3, L2, L1 so that L1 obens in front of L2 etc.
But with this, the following problem arises: The calculation order for the elements is also first UB, then L3, L2, L1. If the data is updated by the web service, first the URL is updated, then L3 is updated (selecting a new value which seems to be chosen, but because the URL already was calculated doesnu2019t show up in the URL), then L2 is updated (selecting a new value for L3 but has in that moment no effect on L3).
So the result is, the values, which seem to be chosen arenu2019t chosen and clicking on UB gives an error.
Is there a possibility to change the calculation order for the elements or is there a work around for this problem?

the whole thing is a bit tricky, so i try to clarify the situation:
1. The Web Service and the URL button aren't connected and the URL-Button starts, when the user clicks at it.
2. The problem arises, because the excel state is inconsistent: The list boxes are filled with correct data, but the corresponding cell with the url doesn't get the changes in the list boxes. If i export the actual state back to excel and open the sheet, the url looks ok, but the url used is missing the result of the list box L3.
3. The problem still has to do with the calculation order: If i switch the order of the elements in the object list, it works fine for the list box and the URL-Parameter logic, but it looks bad at the User Interface, because the L2 appears under L3.
The thing i'm asking for is to seperate the layout order from the calculation order in excelsius or to have something like a trigger, which forces xcelsius to recalculate the url after the automatic insertion from the list box took place.

No you don't. Show us.
Oracle ensures "statement level constraint" consistency. If you do this in one update statement (which is what you state above), then Oracle will not give you a constraint error.
For if it did, then we all would have a serious problem: whether or not the update succeeds would then depend on the order in which Oracle (ie. the execution plan) happens to update the rows. And we can't have such 'undeterministic' behavior (similar to what we would have when Oracle did not provide us with the mutating table error...).
So just try it, or show us:
create table uk_test
(i number not null unique)
insert into uk_test values(4);
insert into uk_test values(3);
insert into uk_test values(2);
commit;Now try both of these:

I have two albums (RCA Sweeny Todd 2 discs set and RCA Into the Woods 1 disc) where the songs are listed as being on the same album on the list view, but do not group together on the iPod, so the songs can't play consecutively, or in the proper order.

UPDATE: This behavior (to an extent) still happens when "Repeat Album" is off. Instead of an infinite loop, it goes through all the tracks on the album (unsuccessfully) and kicks me out to the Album overview screen. Going back to list of Albums and tapping the Album again brings up "No Content: You can download music from the iTunes Store" but that screen immediately kicks me back to list of Albums.
So I am just even more confused now.

List view component not being ordered

I am using the list view component to represent my table data. for creating a new row, i use a popup which has a separate taskflow in which i create a new row. Now i need to refresh the list view component after this new row is created. I am doing that using contextual events. I just re execute the query of the vo based on which the list view component is made. But in order to get the in memory rows, i set the view objects query mode to scan view rows as well as entity based rows. This however makes the vo query's order by clause to not work. I am not sure why but the list view data is no longer ordered.
Also if anyone has any idea how to refresh the entire list view component, that is load data again, it would be of great help.

I'm new at this so i'm going to try to help (although it problably won't work or do what you want).
You said you want to refresh the entire list view component, well, normally i have my views/data controls connected to a binding variable in my bean class and if i want to update something (lets say a selection) i use this code:
AdfFacesContext adfFacesContext = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
adfFacesContext.addPartialTarget(dimFactSales);
dimFactSales = variable binded to one of my views.

How do I get my calendar to "list" view after 7.0 iPhone update?

I did the update to 7.0 on my phone. Now I can't view my events in what used to be called 'list' where all it displays is ALL existing events, dates & times. The only thing I'm finding is I have to scroll through empty hours of the day to get to my event. Then it doesn't give me an exact time. It's a shaded area between 2 hours. If I have something scheduled at 7:15PM, I have to scroll through the WHOLE day to get to it & then it's shaded a little after the 7 o'clock hour. Is that shading 7:15 or 7:30?? I need to know at a quick glance my schedule for the next few days & what exact times they are scheduled. I COULD do this before the update. Is there a way to get to 'list' view with 7.0? Or at least have it display only scheduled events when selecting a particular day? (Which I could also do before the update.)

Yes, the magnifying glass shows the list view. Thank you. But the Notification Center does NOT show the list view. It's still the shaded blocks of time with it stating at the top "The first thing on your calendar today is...". Not the true 'list' view like it was before the update.

How do you change the sort order of a Stack on the Dock in List view?

I want to change the 'Date Added' sort in the list view mode of a stack from descending to ascending.
I have the Downloads stack sorted by 'Date Added', however I would like to reverse the order of this sorting. When I open the stack, it shows the oldest files at the bottom and newest files at the top. Since there are many hundreds of files, the newest files are actually hidden and I must scroll up to access them. When I access this folder I want to see the most recent files first, at the bottom of the list nearest the stack icon, not the files I downloaded years ago.
I prefer to use the traditional List view for Stacks because it is faster (no animations or loading preview icons) and easier to navigate visually. Please do not suggest a different view mode such as fan view or use-new-list-stack.

Order of all day events • printing list view without empty days

I have only just started to use iCal in a work context. I need to programme over 500 events in several different locations (probably up to 10 locations on one day). I have divided these locations into five regions, and have made a calendar for each region.
Times are not important - just the dates, so I have been entering these events as all day events. What I would like to be able to do is ensure that in the month view (and particularly the print out) that the events I put in are always ordered in the same order that I have set up the calendars in the sidebar (I would also like more than 4 events displayed per day in the month view, but that's another matter!). I have been looking on these discussion boards and elsewhere on the internet and this appears to be a feature that many users would like implemented.
I would also then like to be able to print out separate list views for each region (calendar), but missing out the empty days. This also seems to be a feature that is wished for by many users, and has been requested for some time.
Any news on whether such changes will be made? Come on Apple, I mostly love your hardware and software, but there are quite a few of these little functionality issues scattered around the place.

In short, no - there is nothing you can do to determine the the display order of a series of all-day events in iCal. While the appear to generally be listed either in the order in which they were created or in the order in which your calendars appear in the left sidebar, even this is not always the case.

How to put clips in order by number in List View? Opened Premier and they were reversed!

I imported a lot of clips in numeric order from lowest to highest. Today when I opened Premier the order was reversed in the list view from Highest to lowest number. I dont know why. I did not change anything. It did this to all my other bins also!!
When I look at the clips in icon view they are in proper order!!!
So now when I try to put on timeline it places my last clip first. Is there an easy way to reverse the order in List View to the way I originally imported them? I don't want to have to re import all the clips.

They are in order in windows. For some reason they are backwards when I opened Premier. They were in order originally.

Not sure what they mean? Is the column heading they are talking about in Premier? Do they mean the bins? This should be easy, But I am not finding it!

Updating List View Web Part property in page

I have a List View web part (In the page > Add web part > App > document library name). I need to update the TitleUrl property of this web part through C# code.
The SaveChanges() method below works for my visual web parts, but not for the List view webpart. I get an error saying: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation

Tried casting back as below

AllowUnsafeUpdates is set to true within this block and code runs in elevated privileges.

According to your description, there is an issue when you try to update the TitleUrl property of a List View Web Part.

' Playlist' has no 'list view' in iTunes lastest update

ITunes just had an update. I installed.
Interface is somewhat changed, but easily learned.
I use my playlists to perform as backing tracks.
The playlists NEW main page has icons which are blank because there is no album for that song.
How can I get rid of the album icons? All I want is a 'list view' of my Playlist.

I was sure I remembered having my entire Playlist in 'List View' without the album art, but it appears that may never have been.
The Music AP is ios on the iPad and apparently doesn't support that feature as iTunes does.

After refreshing my Podcast list, some Podcasts with new episodes do not display the "Unplayed" blue dot.
If the podcast "folder" is expanded by clicking the triangle, the new episodes are shown with a "Unplayed" blue dot.
A new episode is shown in the My Podcast view, with the correct number of new episodes.
The new episodes are displayed in the All Unplayed view.
I've tried deleting all episodes and downloading new episodes from the iTunes Store.
I've tried Unsubscribing and deleting the podcast, then Subscribing again from the iTunes Store.
Neither attempt resolved the issue.
I've seen this issue for a while, and was disappointed to find no change with the iTunes 11.3.1.2 update.

it finally worked; got my Rush 24/7 downloaded, and it finally found my iPhone after switching from the USB 4 port Hub to a dedicated USB 2.0 slot on my laptop.

What dictates the order of list view items after the chosen one?
I use labels (colors) for the primary list view order, the secondary order appear to be reverse alphabetical.
I want the secondary order to be normal alphabetical.
Can I set his somehow?

In the Finder window in List view at the top you will see: Name / Modified / Size etc...
Click Name. You can toggle back and forth.

Sort order when using "Album by Artist/Year" album list view

In iTunes 10, I seem to have lost the sorting I've been using for the past 5 years at least. I use the "Album List" view, and have the album artwork showing to the left of the songs. I see the new "Album by Artist/Year" sort option in the album artwork column, and that is how I would like it to sort. However, now the album are arranged by artist, and within the artist by the year they were released as tagged in the info for each song. I want the newest albums at the top, and I cannot figure out how to make it sort that way. What do I need to do? Basically I want it in descending order by release date, but still sorted by album.

It could simply be a weakness is the way this was all designed. If you look at the information Gracenote uses, it's not unusual for all tracks on a 60's compilation album to be incorrectly listed as the same year, often the year the compilation was released. The same thing tends to happen with re-issued albums. That's down to whoever inputs the information into Gracenote for that album, often a bored record company employee.
First of all, you could try changing the year for each documentary to the year the album was produced and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, then you have to decide how to handle it.
Accept it as it is.
Change the year for the documentary to the same year as the album and simply kid yourself that it's the correct year. (I'm not being flippant, but if the documentary is all footage from album release year, then "technically", the doumentary is from that 60's year.)
Leave the year of the documentary track blank, but put the year (2010) into the track's "Comments" field instead.
Propose a workable solution to Apple via Apple Feedback. (I am being a bit flippant now. Sorry, but you'll be in for a long wait before anything might change.)
Get Gracenote to change their text fields, get the people who input the information into Gracenote to do so correctly and then get Apple to change iTunes to recognise those changes. (Now I am being very flippant. Good luck with this one!) Oh! And hope Apple never decide to change from Gracenote to someone else!
Number 2 or 3 are probably your best bet.
