Updation of Goods Receipt Date for legacy data

Dear Experts,
We went GOLIVE of SAP 6.0 version on 31.01.2008. At that time we have uploaded Inventory of Stores & Spares material wise with the GR Date as 31.01.08 as we could not get the actual date of receipt of thos materials.
Now we could able to find out the actual date of Goods Receipt of some of items and want to update it so that SAP standard report for Age Wise Analysis can be correctly generated from SAP.
Can any body advise, is it possible, if yes thru LSMW and which T-code and which field.

This is not possible. You need to keep the previous data outside SAP. You can put stock in current period or previous period. Not in all the months of last year.

    When use MIGO to do good receipt for subcontracting Purchase order, for consumption account((Change in Stock (Subcontracting)-41010102&Outside processed fee--41031000) ,why the system don’t recognize the sale order filled as CO account assignment?

       Received the goods 10 PC from Vendor on one date, then reversing the GRN on another date, So now GRN total quantity is zero.     Please help on below error.
    While doing return to vendor transaction using BAPI 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE' error 'No goods receipt possible for purchase order 'PO#" "Lineitem"' was encountered. As checked, all data are correct including the plant, sloc, PO#, stocks, batch.
    Please kindly advice on how to resolve the issue.

    Few things which immediately comes to my mind.
    1. Check if the PO is released?
    2. Check if the confirmation control is properly set in Confirmations tab of item details of a PO.
    3. Check if the Goods Receipt indicator is ticked at item level of PO.

  • Prevent quantity updating during Goods Receipt

    Hi,
    We have a particular requirement for a type of subcontracting process (not the standard SAP subcontracting) as mentioned below.
    We create a Purchase Order for a material (without a standard cost) and giving an account assignment category in the PO. The Net price mentioned in the PO is the processing charges for the vendor (service charges). It does not indicate price for the material.
    When we receive the finished material from the vendor, we perform a Goods receipt. The stock gets updated and accounting documents are created.
    Our requirement is to stop this quantity updating during Goods Receipt. But, at the same time, we would like the accounting documents to be created as we need to pay the vendor.
    Is there any way of achieving this?
    Pl let me know. Any inputs would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the response!
    I understand that in the standard process, the parent item inforecord takes care of the processing charges. But this is process that has been customized differently as the client has SAP as well as legacy systems talking to each other.
    Turning off the qty updating at the material type level will turn it off for all purchase orders created for the material at that particular plant which is something we would like to avoid.
    We would basically like to turn it off for particular purchase order type. The reason for turning it off is that after the GR is done, there is a separate process that comes from the legacy system and updates the same quantity of finished product and also posts the consumption of components.
    So, our basic requirement is , is it possible to turn off qty updating for the GR of a particular purchase order document type and yet create accounting document. Material is not a valuated material and has a standard cost zero.
    Any inputs in this regard will be helpful.

    We are working in 4.7C , Created the scheduling agreements, with Shipping notification(Inbound delivery)   .
    Created the Scheduling agreement on 25.09.2009 and created the schedule line one same day with date 25.09.2009, (time column Blank).
    So in Practice for Goods receipt we are using MB0A t code for GR,(not using MIGO)..while MB0A..iam going to make GR with ref to Shipping notification then system will through below given message.

    If you use Shipping notification then you have to create inbound delivery VL31n and do the PGR in inbound delivery  VL32N itself.
    Incase of scheduling agreement schedule lines you have to make sure the following
    1) Schedule line delivery date shoud be todays date or in the past
    2) Schedule must be released by using message type based on the type of schedule ( Normal, JIT or forecast)

    have you compare the data you send to bapi with data recorded in GR (mkpf/mseg) tables by the system after manual document posting?
    I would check it first - here usualy is the diference between manual and bapi document creating that causes problems.

  • Data Migration Legacy data date

    Hi,
    I have the following query with regard to the data migration of the Employee Master data:
    The legacy data of the employee starts from the date 01.01.1970.
    During the data upload do I need to create the employee record in SAP backdated to 01.01.1970 or I can create the record dating back to 01.01.2010.
    I am uploading the data for the purpose of Time Recording only, but later all the Legacy HR modules will be migrated to SAP.

    Hi Manish,
    2 options here :
    1. Hire the employee with the D.O.J as 1970 in dummy payroll area so that Hiring action is there.
        After that create 1 more action as Go-live upload and there u can take the month of payroll as the start date of the record and create the actions accordingly with live data.
    2. Go ahead by uploading the data from 01.01.2010 or the go-live month as suggested by client.
        In this case u have to maintain Date type in 0041 as Country Hire date and maintain the feature ENTRY For reporting of seniority purpose.
    Best practice is to keep the data from the year of GO-Live, all time and payroll data.

    The scenario used is Classic, so PO is replicated directly to the R/3 system.

    About PO type i think it's EC (doc_type?), in R/3 is shown as EBP PO
    I checked in backend system, in the item details > Delivery and the 'Goods Receipt' is checked.

    I have set the GR and GR non val indicator in CREATE_PO BADI but I face the following situation :
    problem -
    In case of multiple account assignment in the shopping cart, the R/3 transaction ME21N sets these flags. 
    The flag status determined as per EBP conditions is lost.
    I need to retain the flag status as per EBP conditions even in this multiple account assignment scenario.
    proposed solution -
    - CREATE PO badi is already implemented in EBP and customised logic for GR and GR non valflag is in place.
    - I create user exit in R/3 backend system in ME21N transaction 
    - I make RFC call in this user exit to EBP and check the table BBP_PDPSET for the shopping cart.
    This is how I get the flag status as per EBP conditions and copy the same to R/3 thereby overriding the multiple account assignment check of the R/3 system.
    issue - 
    When I tried to verify that I can check the BBP_PDPSET table from R/3, I found that this table is not having entries for all the records in  CRMD_ORDERADM_I table.
    For which shopping carts will the BBP_PDPSET table not  be populated ?

    I have been trying to find a solution to the same error message
    In my case, the power pivot reports were working before on a regular team  site , but then two things changed:
    a)  I  created a toplevel site using the BI Center template. Now I am using a Business Intelligence template , created a power pivot gallery library and uploaded a few powerpivot reports
    b)  On the  backend, the database instance was upgrated to SQL Server 2012 
         Front end Server VDSP01  remains  SQL Server 2008 R 2 where Sharepoint 2010  was installed as a FARM  
    Now, the reports will display in sharepoing however they will not refresh. the error message i get is the same.
     Scenario recap:
    a- Server VDSP01  uses SQL Server 2008 R 2 where Sharepoint 2010  was installed as a FARM
    b- On the back end,  the database instance name was replaced with SQL 2012 Server:
               from SQL Server 2008 R 2 (instance DBDEV-COTS\COTS)
               to     SQL Server 2012 ( instance VTSQL01\COTS)
    c-  I was told that:
         From VDSP01, they ran
    CliConfg.exe   to create SQL Server Alias :

  • Goods Receipt entry for items with serial number

    When I try to create a Goods receipt entry, for items with serial number, i'm always getting the following error message.

    In the BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE There is header structure BAPI2017_GM_HEAD_01 which has a field REF_DOC_NO

  • No goods receipt possible for the PO - Interesting issue

    HI all,
    I need to do the GR for an open inbound delivery. At the item level of precessing document i.e PO 'No goods receipt' check is marked. Same thing is copied to my inbound delivery 'No goods Movement' is marked in Adminstrative tab of my inbound delivery item.
    When I use the BAPI BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE to do GR for this Inbound delivery, it throws an error saying that 'No goods receipt possible for the PO item'.
    But when I do the same thing manually it happened successfully by creating a "service confirmation document" and changed the goods movement status as C (fully completed) without creating an material document as these items are no relevant items for goods movement.
    As we are moving goods directly from Vendor to customer, just we want to do service confirmation to vendor without any goods movement. It happening manually but not through BAPI. Please suggest.
