Upgrade to Enterprise version?
Hi,
I recently purchased a workstation with Windows 8.1 Pro and software assuance. I have the computer built up and have been using it for a month or two now, working fine. I was just looking over my licensing in the Volume Licensing Service Center
and noticed an entry for Windows 8.1 Enterprise with an unresolved quantity of 2.
I'm thinking I paid for it so I may as well use it, right? Plus I'm curious about Windows To Go. But my question is, can I upgrade my Pro machine to the Enterprise version without having to re-install all my applications? I'd
hate to have to reinstall all my applications.
I did find an article online on how to do this but it called for running an application, Windows Anytime Upgrade, but I can't find it on my system. Any other thoughts or where can I find this utility?

for my Information, You cannot upgrade to Windows 8.1 enterpise and keep Windows settings, personal files, and applications from the Windows 8.1 pro Edition while on the VLSC you can only dowload th efull wind 7 Enterp license without possibility to
use Windows Setup upgrade Feature.
on the same link from Milos you can see the diference between Upgrade to Windows pro and the upgrade to Windows Enterprise:

Upgrading To Enterprise XI (Business Views)
We are in the planning process for an upgrade from Crystal Enterprise Version 10 to Business Objects Enterprise. I have read the release notes and installation guides for the products we are planning to buy.
However, I have a question regarding Business Views. We currently have a number of reports based on Crystal Enterprise business views. Is there a Enterprise XI utility that will convert our existing Business Views, or will we have to rebuild them from scratch?Hi Bob,
Business Views still exist in XI, you can migrate them using the import wizard (report objects), or via business view manager (export - xml). If you run into a problem 1 way it's nice to have a 2nd mothod to try. I think both usually work fine.

Failure to install Adobe Muse CC with the Enterprise version
Hi all,
I am currently using a PC running on Win7 Pro. I am using an Enterprise version and have used CCP to churn out the CC software.
As I attempt to install Adobe Muse CC from the exceptions folder by double-clicking on the InstallAdobeMuse application, My computer prompts me with an incompatibility issue. It asks me to use the recommended settings or choose a different setting. So I chose the recommended settings and there is a split-sec flash on the screen that shows more like a dos prompt and then it disappears. I tried again and nothing happens.
All these while I have switched off the antivirus and run from an administrator mode.
Pls help!

Upgrade Hyperion Enterprise 6.2 to 6.5

We want to upgrade Hyperion Enterprise from version 6.2.1 to version 6.5.1 so I wanted to know if there is any document document and if there are do's and don'ts for the same. Will there be any functionality that will not be working in this case ???

Upgrading to Enterprise from Standalone Questions
Hello,
We currently have successfully rolled out the Standalone installation of ZAM 7.5 but we want to move to Enterprise with SQL 2000.
I would like to build and install a new server (same name, ip address, hardware etc.) with the Enterprise version and scrap the Standalone database. Basically we're starting fresh. Would this work with the existing client installs out there?
Would there be any problems with this (seeing as though we rolled out the clients to over 800 machines) or would it be better to perform the upgrade on the Standalone to Enterprise and clear out the database?
Any help or insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!Yup - as Jared said, that should work just fine as each workstation will have a unique identified (WorkstationOID) in the registry - as the new build will have no workstation records it will happily accept these machines with their current OIDs.
One recommendation / note - patch the new build up to the same IR and PRU level (or newer) than in the current standalone system, add your UDFs and configure your Option Sets before you let the workstations connect to the Collection Server(s), as the ZAM server(s) will:
a) Upgrade *or* Downgrade the Clients to the server IR version, which can take a long time as it is throttled to avoid network saturation (allow maybe 1-2 days for 800 workstations)
and
b) Push down the current KB files (a merge of the PRU and your Local Products) then run a scan (assuming you have enabled a collection schedule etc.)
These file transfers can add up to 10-20MB per workstation from the Collection Server, so worth getting right the first time :) -
Upgrading to Enterprise From Non_Enterprise
I'm running a 8.1.5 non-Enterpise installation. I need

1) Is it true that partitioning is available only with

2) How do I upgrade to Enterprise from Standard? Do I
have to create a new ORACLE_HOME, etc?

TonyIf you are using the Standard Edition of the Oracle Database and want to upgrade to the Enterprise Edition, then complete the following steps:
1. Ensure that the release number of your Standard Edition server software is the same release as the Enterprise Edition server software. For example, if your Standard Edition server software is release 9.2.0.1.0, then you should upgrade to release 9.2.0.1.0 of the Enterprise Edition.
2. Shut down your database.
3. If your operating system is Windows, then stop all Oracle services, including the OracleServiceSID Oracle service, where SID is the instance name.
4. Deinstall the Standard Edition server software.
5.Install the Enterprise Edition server software using the Oracle Universal Installer. Select the same Oracle home that was used for the de-installed Standard Edition. During the installation, be sure to select the Enterprise Edition. When prompted, choose Software Only from the Database Configuration screen.
6.Start up your database. Your database is now upgraded to the Enterprise Edition.

also installed CS (1)
followed detailed steps to uninstall both of these.
However computer must think that it is doing an upgrade and asks for a serial number which I don't have

the problem I have since I upgraded to Mavericks version 10.9.1
The problem appears only with Mail not with other programs, not even with my browser.
When I try to zoom the text of an e-mail I received or sent , I can no longer use the keys Command + to enlarge the text, although I can reduce it with Command -.
As I have a problem with my eyes, This is a serious matter for me.
When I write an e-mail, if I select text and press Command +, it just displaces the text to the right.
Now, my husband has a USB keyboard. If he connects it to my computer, his regular Command + does not work either, but he uses the extended keyboard, then it works. Unfortunately, he needs it for a musical application which does not work with a wireless keyboard.Firefox 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 use a process called, "plugin-container.exe" which was using up most of my CPU when I opened up multiple tabs that contained Adobe Flash files, and caused Firefox to lock up.
My solution was to use Firefox 3.5.10 which you can get from the Mozilla website at [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html]
I am using Adobe Flash 10.1.53.64 without any problem in this version of Firefox. Check the release notes, I believe it contains all the latest security fixes in "Firefox 3.6.4".
Hopefully, they will fix Firefox 3.6 in the next version (e.g. Firefox 3.6.7), until then you should probably use "Firefox 3.5.10". -
How to Manage the Resource Master in Primavera Enterprise Version
We are using P6 enterprise version in our company having a central database. We had created our own unique resources and standardised across the enterprise and is Admin protected. However we often have to import some schedules sent by our consultant/client. In those schedules they have their own resources.
So when we import these schedules, it also imports the resources along with it and pollutes our resource master.
Can anyone let me know, how to manage such a situation.
RegardsWe have met this issue. You have few ways to deal with it, but each has its own +ve and -ve.
1- You may create a separate "Working" db into which you can import those files and keep them there only. Your master db shall be used for maters and your own program only.
2- You may do the same for checking the resourses, vet them before importing into the final db
3- P3 and MSP importation allows you to select the node to which the resources will be located. We have created a resource node called "Imported Resources" and dumped all those resources into it. Our users don't have access to that node so those resources can only be used on the imported program and can't be assigned to any other program / activity
4- Enforce your supply chain to use the same resource list. We managed to do that for our main and subcontractors. That formed part of their contracts. -
Unable to launch the application after upgrading Java to version 1.6.0_26
After upgrading Java to version 1.6.0_26 in Windows XP my web start throwing Exception. It works fine in Ubuntu with Java 1.6.0_24 and in Windows with older versions of Java 1.6.

When I download jar file to disk I can run it with command java -jar and it works fine.
After downloading jar I made some tests changing line <jar href="http://192.168.79.33:7070/resources/applet/formeditor.jar" /> in Jnlp file.
When I changed it to <jar href="formeditor.jar" />, and have jar in folder it works.
When I changed it to <jar href="file:///C:/formeditor.jar"> it is not working (same exception).
In every case jar is download correctly and it pass verifying.

can anyone help?Search the bugs database to see if someone else already reported this; if not create a new bug entry. Whatever mistake you could make, you should not be getting a NullPointerException as a result so this is at the very least a bug in the error handling of webstart.
But just some observations to try and see if you can make a difference (which is added input for your bug report). If I check JNLP examples, I see that the url specified is usually without a protocol, so it could be like this:
<jar href="/resources/applet/formeditor.jar" />The JNLP should be on the host that you service the jar from, so Webstart can fill in the host information for itself.
Also you provide a main-class; if the jar manifest specifies a main-class (and it should) you don't need to specify it in your JNLP file. -

've just upgraded to latest version of Firefox 4 and my Mac is only OSX.10.4.11 and now it won't open. How do I downgrade and get old Firefox back. Don't want to lose all my bookmarks. Why was I able to install in the first place. Very frustrated!!

You can save a copy of your passwords file, but I don't think you can open it without Firefox.
