Upgrade to latest OS or not...honest answers welcome
I have the iPhone 3G, running on software version 3.1.3 No problems with anything running, but have read about issues in the past with upgrading. Now I read that upgrading isn't so bad. I'm wanting to get honest feedback.
Is it worth it to grade? What are the positives and what are the negatives.
I use my calendar a lot and I've heard this may be the main area where the 3G with the newest software update has issues. Please advice if you have experience with this. I sync with Outlook 2007 and have no issues.

4.2.1 works just fine for me on my 3G. Marginally slower that 3.1.3, but not enough to bother me, especially given the newest features.
As you're aware, not all of the new features work on the 3G. No multitasking, no home screen wallpapers, no new text tones, etc. Personally, it doesn't bother me. Didn't have them before, so don't miss them.
The biggest thing for me is unified inbox and support for multiple exchange accounts. Folders are nice too, but I don't keep my phone loaded down with extraneous apps I rarely use.

After Itunes upgraded to latest version 11.0.2.26 Apple TV (1st gen) does not show up anywhere in Itunes
I have the same problem. It was working fine up until the last update for iTunes 11.0.2
Here's the details:
I have an Apple TV - first Gen and up until a couple of weeks ago, was regularly playing sync'd iTunes music and videos through it on a daily basis.
I see other devicess showing up in the "Devices" list in the left panel of iTunes (such as iPad, iPhone, etc.)
AppleTV used to be there consistently, then disappeared upon update to 11.0.2
Apple TV also does not show up in the devices tab under the Preferences window.
I have tried multiple suggestions on the support forum but none have worked.
Apple TV is able to access the network, is on the same network as the iMac with iTunes library connected. Both are connected to network via ethernet cable (not wifi). Both are able to access the internet (apple tv plays movie prieviews and gets updates). Using the Terminal app, I am able to ping the apple TV's IP number from the iMac and get a successful return.
Both have latest software downloads.
I have tried cold-booting the apple TV, resetting the router, and verified in the router device list that both imac and appleTV are listed as active, un-blocked connections.
I don't intend to buy an Apple TV 2nd gen or later (since I bought this one and it's not working now due to software update, what guarantee that a later model won't generate the same problem later.
One last wrinkle, I have a 2 year old and a 5 year old who are jonesing hard for their "dance party" fix.
Have you ever wronged a two year old?

Just upgraded to latest iOS and my iPad does not come back up - the following appeared as the first thing after turning back on. It displays a line from the power/USB connector to an iTunes logo and then goes off and after some minutes comes back on. I cannot reset it or anything else. It is completely non-functional.

If your phone isn't being recognized by your computer, you need to follow the steps in this article to resolve that
Also, some basic isolation needs to be done. Does it show up in itunes on any other computers? do you have other cords you can test with to see if it might be the cord? if the phone doesn't show up on any computers, it's likely your phone has a hardware issue

I upgraded to latest Maverick . Now when I use PhotoshopC5 my print settings crash every time I even touch the button. My printer is a Canon MP600 and worked with all Photoshop settings until this week. Help!
The last driver that Canon released for the MP600, v10.5.1.2.0, was for Mac OS X 10.7. Since you mention upgrading to Mavericks you could have a driver version earlier than this. You can check by opening Printers & Scanners, selecting the MP600 and then clicking on Options & Supplies. With the General tab selected you will see the driver version.
Now even if you do have the latest version there is no guarantee that it will be compatible with all applications on 10.9, especially the CS5 suite. You could try installing Gutenprint v5.2.9 to get a driver more compatible with the latest OS. Or if colour management is a requirement for Photoshop printing then you may need to purchase Printfab, although since you are using an MP600 then I would assume that you are not overly concerned with colour accuracy. Another option is to export the image from Photoshop as a PDF and then open this in Preview and print from that application. -

I think you're using a Lion developer version. Open > About this Mac > More Info, and copy Software here. Did you purchase Lion in the App Store?

Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard. -
Latest upgrade of I tunes is not working
I recently purchased an I phone and upgrade to latest I tunes as instructed. After 10 days of problems I am fed up. I have had to repair or install or followed all the other ideas and nothing works. The longest I have has I tunes stay working is for 12 hours. I am fed up. Apple you need to fix this problem. I am tempted to go back to my Nokia phone that I had no problems with and support was excellent. Please fix soon. Has anyone had successs out there in fixing this problem ?

USB Device not recognized (looking for honest answer)
I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes,restored my ipod (menu+ center keys pushed down @ the same time),uninstalled USB port hubs some of these will work for a time then the problem will start again I dont wanna have to get a new ipod so any honest answer would be greatly appreciated.
DId you uninstall iTunes and all it's components? Or just the iTunes program? Apple Mobile Device would be the main cause more than likely. So it is important whether you uninstalled all the programs or just iTunes. If so what I would try next is putting the device into recovery mode and seeing if it detects it like that.

You can trash Firefox 4.0 then re-install Firefox 3.6, it will use your existing bookmarks, passwords etc
