Upgraded to iOS5 on iPhone 4 last night. Lost my ringtones I purchased.
I upgraded my iPhone4 last night to iOS5. Everything else came across, but I cannot access my ringtones I purchased via iTunes recently. The ringtones show up in iTunes, and I resynced the phone five times, but no luck. I found a place to download previously purchased tunes to my phone, but when I go into contacts to try to assign previously purchased ringtones, it will not display them.
Help!
ok js_stephens I did some searching and found an answer for this that worked for me. I plugged my iphone into my computer, then clicked on the ringtone tab under my iphone in itunes, unchecked the sync ringtones, did a sync, then rechecked the sync ringtones and they magically appeared back on my phone! hope it works for ya!

When I up dated my iPhone I lost my ringtones I had purchased
A number of reasons can be addressed. Did you sync your contacts over to the supported application on the computer, or into iCloud? If so, then just sync them back.
Not all contact information is includded in the backup. If you have iCloud turned on, then turn it off and back on again. See if that helps. -
I backed up my iPhone 4 last night on iCloud, and started the erase all content and settings a little over 4 hrs. ago. How long should I expect it to take to complete this process? Will it automatically do a restore on my phone? The reason I had to do this was because my iPhone 4 would not upgrade the latest IOS. Thanks for any information! Karnysue
Something has gone wrong. That should have happened almost instantly. Force the phone into recovery mode & restore it:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don't see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. -

If you've wiped the device remotely then it is no longer associated.
You could also change the password for your Apple ID. -

i lost my iphone 4S last night and the phone is switchwed off . what shud i do to recover it ??? its status shown offline at find my iphone and it unable to activate lost mode as it is switched off . what shud i do to locate or recover it ? plz help me
If your missing device is off or offline, you cannot located it, however, you can still put it in Lost Mode, lock it, or remotely erase it. The next time your device is online, these actions will take effect.
As for the data on the iPhone, if you have backed up the iPhone with iTunes or iCloud, you can use the iPhone backup extractor to extract the data from the backup files to your computer, or restore the found data to a new iPhone with the help of iPhone PC Suite. -

That typically indicates a problem with your VBScript. See the following troubleshooting article:
iTunes and QuickTime for Windows cannot be installed without Visual Basic Script (VBScript)

I changed my iphone password last night before i went to bed, now i can not remember what i made it and i am locked out of my phone, Does anyone know what i can do in order to get back in my phone?
You will need to try to restore your iDevice from the same computer that you most recently synced to.
Read this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
If you can't do the restore then you will need to try Recovery Mode.

I have tried to send photos through text messaging and it will not send. I thought my iPhone 3 was giving out so I got my iPhone 4 last night and still can't send photos through text message. What is the deal??
Also MMS is supported on a carrier by carrier basis. While mostly every carrier does support ths feature make sure that your carrier allows this functionality.

i lost my iphone 4 last night and its not reachable assuming someone took out the sim.. so can i or my network company track the iphone which is not reachable through assuming location services and find my phone apps are enabled?
No. Find My Phone is the only way to locate any lost iPhone. However, this requires that Find My Phone be turned on/activated before the phone was lost, and the phone must have an Internet connection. If your phone is turned off, does not have an Internet connection, or has been restored, there is no way to locate it.

I updated my iphone 4s last night to ios6 and now I dont have any emails coming through?
I updated my iphone 4s last night to ios6 and since then I have had no emails come through, its saying cannot get mail, verify that you have entered the correct account info in mail settngs??
Your iPhone was probably hacked to unlock it from its original cell carrier. The update to iOS has now removed that hack and the iPhone has locked back to that carrier. Only the carrier to whom the iPhone is locked can unlock it, so you will have to contact that original carrier and ask about their unlocking policies.

I got my iphone stole last night and when I track it its saying offline is there anyway I can get it??
Nope.
Report it to the police and change your passwords. -
Updated the software on my iphone 4 last night and now none of my purchased apps will open. They start to and then immeadiately close.
Try restoring from a backup. Connect the iPhone to your computer, launch iTunes. Right or control click the iPhone under Devices in the source list then click: Restore from Backup.

Updated my iphone 3gs last night and all contact info is gone. Messages, notes and all other sections are intact----just no contact info.
You can resync your contact via Itunes, just go to the contact tabs and check to sync.

I updated my iPhone 4S last night and it is locked up on a screen with the iTunes emblem and the iPhone cord pointing upwards toward it. When I hook it to the computer, it's telling me that the phone is in recovery and I need to restore it. That will erase everything in my phone. What do I do? I can't use my phone for anything.
Use iTunes on the computer to restore your iPhone. Since the iPhone
is already in recovery, any data that was on the iPhone is gone.
