Upgrading PHP of identity management 10g release3 10.1.4

identity management of 10g release3 10.1.4 is using Apache-PHP4.3. it is used for apex and my own php scripts.
is there any simple way to upgrade PHP version?
i dont want to upgrade identity management, i want to upgrade php, and i want to use apex.

There are instructions for upgrading PHP on OHS 10.1 in the section "Installing OCI8 with Oracle Application Server on Linux" on p 76 of http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/php/underground-php-oracle-manual-098250.html

  • Certified operating system for Oracle Identity Management 10g (10.1.4.0.1)

    Hello,
I have a question regarding the certified operating system for Oracle Identity Management 10g (10.1.4.0.1)
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/files/idm_certification_101401.html
    - for an Intel EM64T 64 bit machine
for the application server database it is stated that we need
    Windows 2003 R1 (64 bit OS)
and the application server platform is certified with
Windows 2003 R1 with SP1 or higher (64 bit OS)
an installation of application server platform + database on a single Intel EM64T with Windows 2003 R1 with SP1 is not certified ? or with other words, if I add Sp1 to 2003 than the application server database is not on a certified platform ?
    thanks

    Hi Florin
My guess is that you are looking at the Oracle Identity Federation certification section in the link for the IDM certification.
The IDM certification for windows is in par. 2.3
For a 64 bits machine it specifies that you need Windows 2003 R2 to run it. And it is only certified for an Oracle database version 9.0.3.1. The footnote says:
    Oracle Database includes Oracle 9i 9.2.0.8, Oracle 10g 10.1.0.5, Oracle 10g 10.2.0.1, and Oracle 10g 10.2.0.2
so I would go for the latest Oracle database version 10g 10.2.0.2. However the link with the Oracle database versions only notes an Oracle database version 10.2.0.1 available for Windows 64 bit. A quick lookup under the certifify tab in metalink shows that Oracle 10g R2 is certified for Windows 2003 10g R2 and that there is a 10.2.0.2 patch set that can be applied upon the Oracle database 10.2.0.1 base release. Don't forget to apply the latest CPU after this is done.
I have this from the documentation links you added in your question. I have not installed IDM 10.1.4 on Windows 64 bit myself.
    Cheers

  • End of Support Oracle Identity Manager 10g

    Hi,
Any idea on end of support for OIM 10g (9.1x) version?
Till what month can we sell and implement the OIM 10g version?
    Please let me know.
    Cheers
    Kunal jain

    Hello,
Considering the architectural change (reconciliation engine, request flow, etc...) and the environment - the migration path doesn't look very easy.
I think there is enough time in terms of couple of years available before 10g support closure.
    Thanks,

  • Confusion with a current state of Oracle Identity Management

I would like to know if anyone has successfully implemented the complete suite of IdM. If yes, please share this experience. I want to clarify the definition of "successful integration". It should include the following:
    - SSO for Partner applications
    - SSO for External (third parties) applications
    - Provisioning and Synchronization
    - Delegated Administration
    - WNA with Kerberos
    - SAML implementation (optional)
I would appreciate all answers on this subject

To restart from your initial question, it's quite strange because the components you mention are all included in the AS10g Enterprise Edition or in AS10g Portal, and are perfectly integrated. I know numerous customers which use Oracle Portal, for instance, and leverage on SSO (patner or external), Delegated Administration (DAS) , Synchro with AD server and Windows native authentication, without a single line of specific code. Provisioning is done automatically by DIP in the case of Portal with AD, as well, or with a Human resource system. Even the password synchro can be made betwwen AD and OID (Oracle LDAP)
Now, it's a sligthy different discussion if we consider the recent acquisitions made by Oracle, and which are sold in the so call : Oracle Identity management 10g.
OAM (previously Oblix) is a more ambitious product that Oracle SSO.
OIM (provisioning and identity management) is far more sophisticated than Oracle DIP.
The goal, for Oracle, is to unify the workflow engine and the Human interface (with ADF). This task is probably on the rails for the next year.
OVD (previously OctetSting) is an architectural component which allow virtualisation of LDAP server.
About Federation, OIF allow all existing Oracle Portal customer (using SSO) to rely on SAML tokens in order to trust partners site.
So, in my opinion, acquisitions oblige to make a substantial effort to unify human interface and make arbitration between some concepts, but it's within the Oracle means.

  • Upgrading sun identity manager 7.1.1 to 8.1

    hi all,
I am Upgrading sun identity manager 7.1.1 to 8.1 and ran the DB script upgradeto81from71.oracle. It takes a long time and eventually hangs on this statement:
    CREATE INDEX repo1.userobj_repomod ON repo1.userobj(repomod);
We have large number of users around 30,000 but it should still not hang....
    Any thoughts?
I am using Oracle 10g client and database is Oracle 11.2.0.2.0
    thanks a lot!
    vik

    Hi,
I did not have any issues when I did the upgrade but we also did not change the script from waveset to repo1.
In changing the script did you miss any of changes from waveset to repo1
By the way we have about 90,000 users so I do not think the number of users is the issue. The database version we use is 10g

  • Upgrading Identity Manager 9.1.0.1 to 9.1.0.2 BP15

    Hi friends,
I have installed the Oracle Identity Manager version 9.1.0.1, I need to upgrade to version 9.1.0.2 BP15, what steps or procedures should I do ..?, What should I download installers to migrate to version 9.1.0.2 BP15?, very grateful for the support.
    thanks

OIM 9.1.0.1 installer can be directly downloaded from Oracle Downloads Website but you need to download the following installers from Oracle Meta-link:
    - OIM 9.1.0.2
    - OIM 9.1.0.2 BP 15
Patch from *9.1.0.1* to *9.1.0.2* to *9.1.0.2 BP15*. You would see a readme.html in the patch with all the instructions.
    Thanks
    Sunny

  • Using DS 4.2 repo manager to upgrade a repository in oracle 10g?

    Hello Experts,
The DS 4.2 PAM states that oracle 10g is no more supported as a local repository. I have a couple of DS 3.x local repositories on oracle 10g.  Will the DS 4.2 repository manager allow to upgrade these 3.1 oracle 10g local repositories? i dont have a DS 4.2 environment so can't test it at my end , anyone out there whose been successful?

I didn't mean that, because i have not actually done it. According to their installation document you can configure with oracle 10g as well.

Check that your insfrastructure database is up and running, it's accesible, as well, check for OID procs and demons that ports for OID are open and that you can make ldapbind this last may not be necesary as the error say about database, but is good to check also. Go to *$ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs* and check the files there to see if other process are having problems.

  • OBIEE 11g RPD and Weblogic Identity Management

    Hi,
I have an issue where only users from one weblogic Provider (LDAPAuthenticator) can log into OBIEE.
New users created using the default provider (DefaultAuthenticator) cannot log in (the exception is the Administrator user which was upgraded from 10g).
If I open the RPD in online mode and connect to 'Identity Management', I do not see the new users above in the list (i.e. they have not been pulled down by OBI)
Error message in the logs show "authentication passed, however use cannot be found in identity store" - which makes sense as I do not see them in the RPD. Any ideas?
N.B: New application roles in weblogic are syncing with the the RPD correctly.

Thanks for your reply Paul. That is quite a drawback if it is the case. I guess the fall back is to implement one authenticator and if that fails, it would pass on to the RPD authentication (like in 10g)? Have you by chance managed to implement the 'act as' obi functionality with the weblogic authenticator setup?

  • Error when installing Oracle Identity Manager

    Hello,
I'm having a problem when trying to install Oracle Identity Manager. I am trying it now for consecutive two days and it is always the same problem.
    I read this thread:
Problem installing Oracle Identity Manager Server (but still have no clue what to do).
I'm installing it in a virtual lab environment (Windows Server 2008 on WMware).
    It is a fresh install.
    Installing scenario:_
    *1.* Oracle Database 10g (10.2.0.3)
*2.* Toad DBA Suite for Oracle
    *3.* Oracle Weblogic Server 11g R1
    *4.* Oracle Identity Manager v9.1.0.1
    *5.*
Then i create a new Oracle database instance for Oracle Identity Manager as described here:
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32386_01/generic.902/b32140/database.htm
    *6.*
Then i prepare the DB for Oracle Identity Manager by running:
    prepare_xl_db.bat XELL C:\Oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1 xelsysadm password123 xeltbs C:\Oracle\product\10.2.0\oradata xeltbs_01 TEMP password123
as described here (Preparing the Database on Windows):
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32386_01/generic.902/b32140/database.htm
    *7.*
I get no errors after running the script has finished
    *8.*
Then i run Oracle Identity Manager v9.1.0.1\OIM9101\installServer\setup_server.exe
    *9.*
I go throw the steps and after installing the following error pop ups:
Following Error occurred during schema creation  connected*
Error encountered while loading database script*
    +...\Oracle Identity Manager v9.1.0.1\OIM9101\installServer\Xellerate/db/oracle/xell.sql+
    Contact your DBAORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PLS-00905: object SYSTEM.PIN_OBJ is invalid ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PL/SQL: Statement ignored [10/7/09 12:18 PM]*
    *10.*
Then i click next and this message pop ups:
Oracle Identity Manager Installer has found that SetDBKey.bat failed.*
    *11.*
    Then the setup ends/aborts
Does anybody have any idea what this error is about and how to work around?
I would really appreciated it. I am getting desperate, because i don't know what i am doing wrong. Thank you very much in advance!

    2. Oracle Application Server 10g R3
    3. Oracle Identity Manager v9.1.0.1
    My Installation Steps:
    1. Installed Oracle Application server and upgraded to 10.3.3
    2. Installed Oracle Database 10g and created database idmda2
    3. Prepared Database for OIM
    prepare_xl_db.bat idmda2 C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1 sysadm sysadm orctbs C:\Oracle\product\10.2.0\oradata orcltbs_01 TEMP test23
I get no errors after running the script has finished
    4. Deployed the application XIMDD on OAS
    verified for prerequisities
    5. Then i run Oracle Identity Manager v9.1.0.1\OIM9101\installServer\setup_server.exe
At the "Provide databse connectivity information" screen I have used the "sysadm" which i used at the time of preparing the database for oim
I am not using "system" account and still i am getting "Oracle Identity Manager Installer has found that SetDBKey.bat failed" error.
What is that i am missing here?
    6. Then the setup ends/aborts
Thank you very much in advance!

    • Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4
    • Sun Solaris 8
    • Oracle 9i, running on one of:
    • Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4
    • Sun Solaris 9
    • AIX 4.3.3
So the simple answer is yes.
For the upgrade I would target v8.1 as your goal.
