Upgrading to Firefox 28 has given me issues opening new tabs. How do I fix this?
I'm on Windows 7 and regretting the fact that I downloaded Firefox 28. Before this, I had no issues at all. But now, if I go to File, then New Tab, nothing happens. If I click on the plus sign Open a New Tab button, nothing happens. Using CTRL + T doesn't work either. However, if I exit Firefox entirely and open it right back up, several new blank tabs appear. The only working way to open up a new tab is by using the right click menu. How do I fix this?

Firefox on my laptop will not allow me to open multiple tabs, how can I fix this issue?
I usually use firefox and yesterday was downloading a photoshop program called gimp. all of a sudden after downloading it, firefox stops allowing me to open multiple tabs. I click on file and new tab, but it still will not work.
The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Uninstall that extension.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:

I really hate having to use two windows instead of being able to use tabs.
Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.

I think this is the same problem that others have but I have been unable to get a fix to work. Wish I hadn't upgraded from 28.0
hello Road_runner, unfortunately this is currently a bug in the integrated firefox pdf viewer that is investigated by our developers and getting addressed. in the meantime you could use a third-party pdf plugin like from adobe that you can enable in the firefox ''options > applications'' - scroll down and define the default action for the '''portable document format (pdf)'''.

Regarding iMessage, when i want to send text to a person in my contacts app, i've been getting a message saying the number has not been registered with iMessage. How can one fix this problem? It works on the iPhone.

iTunes suddenly mentions that my iPhone cannot be synced because it needs 6.55 additional GB, although my phone still has 2 GB free of space. How can I fix this?
iCloud is off on both my phone and my computer.It is saying that the iPod does not have enough free storage to sync all the items yu have selected to sync to the iPod. You need 2.48 GB more free on the iPod. You need either to select less to sync or delete some content form the iPod.

I upgraded to v3.6.22 today and have lost the ability to ctrl-click a link to open the link in a new tab; how do I get this back?
Strangely enough, putting my laptop into Hibernate mode solved the problem. It didn't even take a reboot.

since the latest update of 3.5.11, firefox opens links in a new window. it used to open links in a new tab. how can i fix that?
The setting in "Tools > Options > Tabs" only works for links that would open in a new window.<br />
That option allow you to divert such calls to a new tab.<br />
For other links you either have to use a middle click or a Ctrl + left click or use the context menu.

I have a 4th gen iPad and the type face on the keyboard has been replaced with small squares. How do I fix this?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. I want to at least slow the cracking and bleeding of the LCD/ pixelsYou cannot slow the cracking, etc., but you can take it to an Apple store genius bar and have the technicians look at it and give you an estimate for a screen replacement.

Why has right click to open new tab become disabled?
SINCE UPDATING FIREFOX:
RIGHT-CLICKING TO OPEN NEW TABS DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE. HOW DO I REVERSE THIS???

FIREFOX CRASHES VERY OFTEN NOW. HOW DO I STOP OR AT LEAST MINIMIZE FREQUENCY OF CRASHES???Regarding the right-click context menu, which is the best description of the problem:
# Can no longer right-click links
# Open in New Tab is missing or grayed on the context menu
# Open in New Tab does nothing when selected
# Open in New Tab opens in the same tab when selected
Does the site make any difference or do you have this problem on all sites?
Sorry to hear about the crashes. When Firefox crashes, it usually records information about what was happening at that moment. You often will see the Mozilla Crash Reporter dialog come up. You can submit that data to Mozilla and share it with forum volunteers to see whether it points to the solution. Please check the last section of the support article "[[Firefox Crashes]]" for steps to get those crash report IDs, and then post some of the recent ones here.
If that's not possible, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].

No new extensions or add-ons have been installed. And all the features options to open new tabs fail to open a new tab. Can someone tell me how to fix the problem? I'm tempted to downgrade to an earlier version of firefox or reinstall 3.6.13 to see if that fixes the problen.
disabling/uninstalling firebug and restarting firefox does seem to fix the problem. thanks. The next problem is trying to report the problem to firebug. firefox blocks the https://blog.getfirebug.com/2012/10/09/firebug-1-10-4/#respond web site/page because of its certificate, but does not give you an option to accept the certificate anyway.

How do I make Firefox default to home page when open new Tab?
When I open a new tab/window its blank. I have Firefox open to my home page Google, and I want the new tab/window to default open to that if I haven't chosen a web site to go to in the new Tab/window.

You have multiple old Java Console extensions that Java did not clean-up during updates. You need Java Console only if you do Java programming/development or debug Java applets on web pages. You can see them in Add-ons > Extensions, '''''but you can not remove them from there'''''. Removing them will not affect the functioning of Java on websites. You can '''''manually''''' remove them, '''''if you do not do Java development work''''' to avoid future, possible problems/conflicts:

Only firefox is reporting my SSL certificate as revoked. How can I fix this issue?
I have recently re-keyed and re-installed an SSL certificate on my server (https://beta.alicorsolutions.com:2087) running WHM on linux.
The SSL certificate is passing all the 3rd party SSL tests (https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=beta.alicorsolutions.com) and works perfectly fine in Chrome and IE. However, in Firefox I get an error page that says: "Peer's Certificate has been revoked. Error code: sec_error_revoked_certificate".
After doing some searching, I can see that the problem is specific to firefox and the only way everyone else seems to be fixing the problem is by turning off OCSP under Preferences > Advanced > Validation.
This of course is not an acceptable long-term solution. I need to fix this issue as quickly as possible, ay help at all would be appreciated. Please let me know if there's any other information I can provide that would assist you in solving this issue.hello jcsarda, it's only working in chrome because its security settings are more relaxed per default (when you set chrome to check for certificate revokation in settings > advanced > HTTPS/SSL it shows the same error for me). i don't know about IE...
