Uploading an image to a servlet with out html form

Hello,
I had a look around the forum and could not find an answer to my question.
I am trying to unload an image that is in a byte array to a servlet. the image is on the mobile phone. the mobile phone does not have html form to upload the picture.
Is there any other way of uploading instead of using html form to invoke the servlet. It is just the connection bit that is confusing me. When the servlet is invoked then it can open an inputstream and take in the image.
I hope this is clear and that some one else has done it.

Calling servlet with out entry in web.xml

Hi
I want to know whether can a servlet be invoked with out having an entry in web.xml.Because to my knowledge when ever an entry is made in teh web.xml the <url-pattern> and the class file will be stored as key value combination it is only then when ever a request is made the server gets the class taht is to be invoked from the <url-pattern> that is passed from the client side.
Is ther any way by whihc we can call the servlet directly with out an entry in web.xml

What's the real benefit of not having a Servlet
definied in web.xml?
The only benefit I see is that
you don't need to understand/read/change XML when
adding or removing a servlet. That isn't worth that
imho. What are the other benefits?The only thing I can think of is , to be able to quickly access a Servlet that you've just written, because it takes additional steps to define it in the web.xml.
I think it would be a security concern (of some sort) , if the Servlet's class is known, that's why it is better to access a Servlet with a mapping from web.xml

You can upload a file with <input type="file" name="my_file">.
How can I insert this file into my database ?

Dynamic images in a Servlet with WL6.1

          I try to create a BufferedImage in a Servlet:

          I get an UnsatisfiedLinkError to the log. The servlet works fine on
          Tomcat.
          The platform is Solaris 8 with Weblogic 6.1. The libawt.so is included
          in the CLASSPATH. The creation of the image works fine, if I run it
          from command line with the same JRE.

Your English is a lot better than many who post here.
Click on your picture, select 'Recents', and you should be able to copy and paste a new picture in an open box. Sometimes it may take a couple of attempts.

Multiple images in rtf template with out using url conditions

Just iam taken 3 logos from system to make copy and paste in rtf file
But i need to write the conditions for those logos depend upon ord_id (or) supplier_name?

While uploading an RTF template for an XML report through XML Admin responsiblity, i am getting some weird error. So, i am looking for other options of uploading the Template. Can any one let me know if any other options are available. Can i use FNDLOAD? But i think it is to move the files between instances. My requirement is to upload the template only from my desktop.

I'm trying to upload my pic to my computer with out iTunes

I had to factory reset my computer, I downloaded iTunes and then pple told me that it will delete everything from my iPod, I also have and iPad and iPhone. Now I delete iTunes from my computer and I'm trying to save my pic and music to my computer. How can I do this when my computer thinks it's a camera and it states that it's empty. And when I downloaded iTunes nothing was there. Im going crazy here because I have so many thing on these devices that I don't want to be deleted. Can someone please help me!

You need a third-party program like TouchCopy to get none-iTunes purchased music and synced photos off an iPod to a computer.

Which servlet container / application server (JRun, Resin, JBoss, Websphere, WebLogic, Tomcat,... ) is running on your system ?
Is apache configured to load the shared module of the servlet container ?
You must have something like the follwing in your httpd.conf
# add tomcat connector
AddModule mod_jk2.c
# add websphere
AddModule mod_app_server_http.c
LoadModule jk2_module /usr/lib/apache/mod_jk2.so
LoadModule app_server_http_module /usr/local/WebSphere/AppServer/bin/mod_app_server_http.so

Creating a .fmb with out using form builder

I am having a template to create form modules in the forms builder, for the most of the forms I need not change any
of the PL/SQL code provided by the template. (All my business logic and information regading items in object navigator resides in the database) The only thing that I need to do is creation of fields in object navigator and provide the
sub class information for it. So I felt that It's better to have a tool which generats the requried .fmb file if the all
field details are stored in a table.
While expermenting on that we came to know that there are some functions provided by Oracle Developer6.0 that creates all
objects in the object navigator using a C program. These programs requires some header file, most of which are provided by
Oracle developer6.0 and some are missing.

u have 2 options
create amterial master with price control indicator standrd and maintin the price of mateirial in account view now create a po with free line itme and do the gr now in this case sytem will create a accounting document and it post the amount to the stock account Dr.
and no gr/ir account hit will happen as it is a free itme so there is no question of paying any amount to vendor
u can also use movement type 511 to do the gr for that free good
option 2 create am material with moving average price in this case if u do the gr then system will not create any account document but point to note here is the price will become then zero in material master as map means latest price is updated in matreial master

When you select files to delete from catalog you get a dialog asking if you want to delete ALSO from disk : you don't. Simply don't check the check box.

Approach for CST with or without Form C

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement wherein the CST value on the order should vary depending on customer providing FORM C or not.
I have suggested to have 2 condition types for CST and asked the customer to accordingly update the value in the Tax Classification against the customer.
Pl. advice if there is any other approach / solution to this.

It is not required to define two Tax condition types.
you can define different customer tax classifications in t code OVK3
1. with C form how much is the % of tax
2. With out C form how much is the % of Tax, so in this case what happens you can choose the whether customer is with form or wiht out form so accordingly the tax will be calculated.
Example in VK11 you can maintain the cond records with different combination
1( material liable for tax) + 1 ( Customer with C form) = 2 %
1( material liable for tax)+ 2( Customer with out C form)= 14 %
