Urgent : Branch too large ??

I have the following error in a jsp and i don't understand what it means.
Error 500
Message : Server caught unhandled exception from servlet [JSP 1.1 Processor]: Unable to compile class for JSPC:\Websphere\WAServer\temp\default_host\TerrealAppWebApp\_0002fhomeAdmin_0002ejsphomeAdmin_jsp_261.java:44: Branch is too large, Internal restriction.

Hi,
Is it due to too many lines within a jsp tag segment that the internal JSP compiler fails to parse it?
for example:
<%
if(...)
%>
... too many lines or HTML code here?
<%
else
%>

  • Branch target offset too large for short - using CFThread

I am just starting to get into using CFThread.  I have a process I am working on to allow clients to order background reports on multiple applicants simultaneously.  I am doing this using CFThread.  Through some trial and error I discovered that I needed to var scope the variables that are used in the CFC's that do the bulk of the report processing.  As soon as I did that I started getting the error "                                                                                                                                                      Branch target offset too large for short". Everything I have read on this error basically says I have too much code in the CFC which doesn't make sense as I am using this CFC in several other places in the site without error.  The problem only occured after var scoping my variables in the CFC and them sticking that CFC inside a CFTHread tag.
Has only one seen anything like this before?
    Thanks

    Haven't seen it, no.
Can you revert to your un-VARed code, and then re-VAR the variables one by one, retesting between each, and see if a specific one gives you the error?
I don't know what this might tell you, but it might help focus where to look.
NB: you should be VARing your variables within functions as a matter of course, not simply in situations in which the code is being called via <cfthread>.

  • Branch is too large,Internal Restriction

    Hi,
When I try to run my JSP,it gives "Branch is too large,Internal Restriction" Error is shown..
Can anyone explain, why this comes? What are the possible solutions for this?
    Thanks & Regards

No idea why it would behave differently... since it seems to be a Java compiler / .class file format limitation. Is it possible:
    * The Java compiler used by WAS on Solaris to compile JSP sources is a different version than the one on your box (most likely and older version)?
    * There are different options specified to the compiler? I know, for example, that Weblogic provides switches to change the way JSP->Java conversion works to limit deeply nested try...catch blocks. Perhaps there are similar switches when compiling Jsp->Java->.class in your WSAD environment.
    * Once again I'd question the content of the JSP page; does it have a lot of embedded Java code/taglib usage/html etc.? You didn't answer that question before. Could you try breaking up the JSP page / re-organizing its content?

  • BUG: Web service returns request XML as response when result too large

    Hi,
sorry for cross-posting, but the Web Services forum seems to be quite abandoned and this is an urgent issue for me.
I have a web service returning some records of a given type (created using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3). The running environment and the service implementation do not seem to make any difference, as the situation is the same whether running it in embedded OC4J or in AS 10.1.3.1, and whether it is generated from a PL/SQL procedure or a method of a plain Java class.
The problem is that if the result of this web service is too large (contains a lot of records), then the processing halts in some Oracle class in some web service library, so not in a debuggable generated web service source or in the service implementation itself.
I think that the XML processing halts because of a "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space".
Then a more serious problem follows: the service doesn't return a fault message but the original request XML as a response. Obviously, this can lead to some really unexpected errors.
    To reproduce this error:
    1. Create a Java class with a method returning an array of an arbitrary type, of the size specified in an input parameter.
    2. Create a web service from this class.
    3. Call it multiple times increasing the size parameter in every call until you get back the request as response or any error message.
    For example:
    - if you test the web service using the web page generated to access the endpoint, then you can see the response XML - in case you don't get an Internal Server Error (Java heap space).
    - if you use a generated web service proxy for testing, then it will give an error saying "unexpected element name: expected={namespace}someOperationResponseElement
    actual={namespace}someOperationElement".
Any ideas how to locate / solve this problem?
    Regards,
    Patrik

    Patrik,
the usual recommendation is to try with 10.1.3.3 instead of 10.1.3.1 to exclude you are hunting down an already fixed issue. From what you describe, the error seems less JDeveloper related than OC4J or OracleAs.
So in case it reproduces in 10.1.3.3 I suggest to create a testcase and open a service request with support, or try the OC4J forum in case its known there.

I want this difference to be posted automatically to profit and loss account. (I don’t want to charge of the difference manually). I can not post the entry because system is throwing error such as “The difference is too large for clearing”. I checked the tolerance limit(OBA4), but the difference is within the tolerance limit.
Does anybody know how to configure for this situation?
Do I need to do any configuration in FBKP?
    (Please consider this very urgent)

    Amit Bedekar.

    Hello
    Check if this helps.
    Reason Codes
    Use
To use the clearing document to find out why a difference existed, you can assign reason codes to the line items. Reason codes are indicated by keys that you define in Customizing.
You can assign reason codes for the following:
Partial payments made for open items.
Residual items created for an open item. Here you can assign one or more reason codes. In this case, you divide the difference amount into a corresponding number of partial amounts.
Differences posted on account without reference to an open item.
For each line item you enter in the clearing procedure, if the reason code field for the account is ready for input.
    Integration
When you process residual items, the reason code also controls how the remaining amount is posted. The remaining amount can be posted as follows:
To a G/L account that is assigned to the reason code you enter.
As a new customer or vendor open item if you do not enter a reason code, or if the reason code you enter is not indicated as described.
    Features
    Properties of Reason Codes
For incoming payments, you can send a payment notification to the customer. This process can run automatically if differences arise during clearing. In the tolerance group set up for the customer, you can define what type of notice to create for partial payments, residual items, and payments on account.
The system can use the specified reason code to determine the type of notice to create as long as only one reason code is specified in the entire clearing transaction.
In order to check a customer's credit limit, the total of open items is taken into account. If certain contentious items should not be considered, you can define a separate reason code for these items.
    Reason codes control:
How the difference is posted (as a new open item or to a predefined G/L account)
What type of payment notice is created
Whether an item is included in credit limit checks
For information on defining reason codes, see the following activities in the Financial Accounting  Implementation Guide:
    Define Reason Codes (Incoming Payments)
Define Reason Codes (Manual Outgoing Payments)
Define Standard Reason Codes for Clearing with Payment Advice Notes

  • DIfference is too large In EBS

Posting rule  2 chrt 40 chk issu kz 8.
Could anybody show me the light, appreciated for your  help.Idont know how to use search string. For all other transaction system postings are happening except the above transaction.
Could anybody show me the light, appreciated for you help.
    Thanks in Advance.......................

    Hi,
System doesn't clearing customer/vendor when you execute FF.5 because
system was unable to find the appropriate open item which should be clea
red base on your configuration. For example, system could not find whic
    h customer should be cleared.
When you do manual bank statement, you provide enough information, for
example, cusotmer account and other reference information. Therefore,
system was able to finish clearing.
Transaction type is RAA-REMI in your statement file and external transac
tion code 061 is used for all line item in the statement file.
Following posting rule and interpretation algorithm are configured in
    IMG activity:
      -> Financial account
       -> General ledger accounting
        -> Bank accoutning
         -> Business transaction
          -> payment transaction
           ->Electronic bank statement
            Mantain globle parameters....
    External trans    Posting rule       Interpretation
    061             +    RE02         000: No interpretation.
It means no interpretaion will happen during uploading with FF.5 and sy
stem will search all open documents which amount is eqaul to the amount
in each line item in bankstatment file. If more than one document is se
lected, you will meet this error "difference is too large to clear".
    It worked as design.
Please maintain one iterpretaion algorithm according to your bank statm
    ent file. for example, 001.
If you don't maintain any, you must ensure only one open document exists
and its amount is eqaul to the line item in bank statment file.
    I hope this helps.
    BR,
    Raquel

  • Numbers-the document cant be imported because file too large

i have an exel file i am trying to work on and open but i keep getting this instead"the document cant be imported bcecause its too large"....how can i fix this its an urgent matter and i have to hand in a report

    Hi Yarash,
I suspect the message is telling you that the Excel spreadsheet has more rows than Numbers's maximum pertable, 65,536.
Try splitting the Excel file into two smaller spreadsheets.

  • Offset too large for short?

HI I have a large function that works just fine until I added
this large spanning cfif statement to essentially break out of my
function if a condition didn't exist. After I added it I got the
    error:
Branch Target offset too large for short
Also this function doesn't contain any cftransaction tags. Is
there anyway to increase memory or something to get rid of
    this.

  • BW Web Report Issue - Result set too large

    Hi,
When I execute a BEx Query on Web I am getting “Result set too large ; data retrieval restricted by configuration (maximum = 500000 cells)”.
Following to my search in SDN I understood we can remove this restriction either across the BW system globally or for a specific query at WAD template.
In my 7x Web template I am trying to increase default max no of rows parameters, As per the below inputs from SAP Note: 1127156.
But I can’t find parameter “Size Restriction for Result Sets” for any of the web items (Analysis/Web Template properties/Data Provider properties)….in the WAD Web template
Please advise where/how can I locate the properites
    Instructions provided in SAP Note…
The following steps describe how to change the "safety belt" for Query Views:
    1. Use the context menu Properties / Data Provider in a BEx Web Application to maintain the "safety belt" for a Query View.
    2. Choose the register "Size Restriction for Result Sets".
    3. Choose an entry from the dropdown box to specify the maximum number of cells for the result set.
                  The following values are available:
    o Maximum Number
    o Default Number
    o Custom-Defined Number
Behind "Maximum Number" and "Default Number" you can find the current numbers defined in the customizing table RSADMIN (see below).
    4. Save the Query View and use it in another Web Template.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Yasemin,
Thanks for all help...i was off couple of days.
To activate it I can suggest to create a dummy template, add your query in it, add a menu bar component add an action to save the query view. Then you run the template and change the size restriction for result set then you can save it by the menu.
Can you please elaborate on the solution provided,I created dummy template with analysis and Menu bar item...i couldn't able to configure menu bar item...
    Thanks in advance

  • I have a 500 GB hard drive and a 1TB Time Capsule running on a MacBook Pro.  It was all working well until the MacBook went in for a repair a week or so ago.  Since then, TC will not perform a backup;  instead, it says the backup is too large for the disk

Since having my MacBook Pro repaired (for a video problem) Time Capsule returns the following message:  "This backup is too large for the backup disk. The backup requires 428.08 GB but only 192.14 GB are available."
I notice that there is also a new sparse bundle.
Since TC has my ONLY backup (going back about 4 years) I am reluctant to wipe it and start over fresh as I am afraid of losing files.
Is there a way of dealing with this?
I am using Snow Leopard 10.6.8

The repair shop likely replaced a major circuit board on your MacBook Pro, so Time Machine thinks that you have a "new" computer and it wants to make a new complete backup of your Mac.
You are going to have to make a decision to either add another new Time Capsule....or USB drive to your existing Time Capsule....and in effect start over with a new backup of your Mac and then move forward again.
For "most" users, I think this is probably the best plan because you preserve all your old backups in case you need them at some point, and you start over again with a new Time Capsule so you have plenty of room for years of new backups.
Or, as you have mentioned, you have the option of erasing the Time Capsule drive and starting all over again. The upside is that you start over and have plenty of room for new backups. The downside is that you lose years of backups.
Another option....trying to manually delete old backups individually....is tricky business....and very time consuming. To get an idea of what is involved here, study this FAQ by Pondini, our resident Time Capsule and Time Machine expert on the Community Support area. In particular, study the pink box.
    http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/12.html
Once you look through this, I think you may agree that this type of surgery is not for the faint of heart.  I would suggest that you consider this only if one of the other options just cannot work for you.

  • Since upgrade to iOS 7 Email error on over 100KB emails "Cannot Send Mail  The message was rejected by the server because it is too large." Connecting to Exchange via Activesync

    Hi,
Following the upgrade to iOS 7.0.3 on all our iPhone and iPad devices, it has been identified that when sending emails around 100KB in size and over an error message appears on the device stating “Cannot Send Mail  The message was rejected by the server because it is too large.” See error message below. The send/receive limit is over 10MB so this is not the issue.
We are in an Exchange Environment using Microsoft Activesync. This issue is not evident in iOS 6. This has been tested on an iPhone 3GS running version iOS 6.1.3. We have been unable to repeat the issues seen on iOS 7 on the older OS. It is not possible to roll back to the older operating system as Apple are no longer signing the software.
We use Microsoft Active Sync to connect to our Exchange servers through a TMG. The issue is very inconsistent, some identical emails go through, some fail. This is not an issue with the send/receive limit as this is over 10MB. The error message when it fails on the TMG is Status: 413 Request Entity Too Large, which we believe is from IIS on the CAS server.
Does anyone have any suggest course of actions to take?
    Many Thanks

This resolution have to attend at the server not with the ios device. My employer's mail administrator reject me to correct it from the server. As his concern is, if ither ios devices works why don't mine? So I am helpless than changing my iphone. It works fine for early versions of ios and with androids. And also one of my friends iphone4 with ios 7 (similar as mine) works too. So I guess it's something wrong with my iPhones settings. But basic question I cannot understand is it works in my phone before this ios7 upgrading. And currently working with my yahoo account too. Favourable reply expected.

  • Error Message "Some content on the PDF is too large to fit on a single page.

I get the below error when I try to download a response as a .pdf:
Some content on the PDF is too large to fit on a single page.
Please go to the "Design Tab" and adjust the contents, the font-size, or divide the flagged items into multiple elements.
    Any ideas?

Go to the Design Tab and make sure you switch to the Page View (look the bottom right corner of the screen)
Once you see the Page View (used to see what the PDF will look like for your response) scroll down and you might see which object is being trucated (it will be covered by a red rectangle). This often happen if you have a element that is too big to fit on one page (like a single or multi choice field).
You will need to adjust your element so that nothing is trucated.
