Hallo Prakash,
I am developing with EP SPS12 and am facing the exact same situation. Values passed to the bean from the dynPage do not get through to the jsp. When removing the respective lines in the portalapps.xml I get a portal runtime exception.
I am posting my portalapps and the jsp where importing the beans. What am I missing here? Any help would be greatly appreaciated! Thank you in advance.

Helga

    Hi,
    I am also trying that scenario. So u can
    Post the jsp form data to a Servlet which will act as a Controller.
    In the servlet invoke the business method.
    Similar kind of app is in www.roseindia.net
    Hope this would help u.
    Meanwhile if u get any optimal solution, pls post it.
    Thanks,

    After getting this kind of error I have analyzed my code furhter then I came to know that there was problem with static include tag.
    In my jsp page I have used following line which is the main cause of error
    <%@ include file="top.jsp" %>If I ommit this line then it is working properly.
    Instead of static include I have used jsp:include also.
    Still I m getting same problem.
    We have to migrated from JDK 1.5 to 1.6 and Tomcat 5.0.28 to 6.0.14, still same problem is there.
    We have tried a lot but didnt get success to overcome this problem.
    If anybody having any solution then ur each reply will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance..........!!!!!!!

    Hi "mshanu" and "amit" Thanks for ur replies Here I m posting the code of "top.jsp"........!!!!
    <%@ page errorPage="errordisplay.jsp"%>
    <table cellpadding="0"
           cellspacing="0"  height=50 width=780>
           <tbody>
             <tr class="header">
               <td class="logo"><IMG SRC="assets/Logo.gif" BORDER=0 ALIGN=top></td>
               <td align="right"><span class="applicationtitle"><%@ include file="/contents/logo.htm" %></span><br>
               <span class="companyname"><%@ include file="/contents/companyname.htm" %></span></td>
             </tr>
            </tbody>
    </table>To include top.jsp I have tried
    <jsp:include page="top.jsp" flush="true">
    </jsp:include>
             AND
    <%@ include file="top.jsp"%>but none of this worked.
    If I remove the include then It is working properly.
    But I need inluded file too so that I am wondoring for the solution.
    This problem seems very wiered to me. I dont know why it is happening.
    This problem is started only when I used the TOMCAT 6.14.
    Is it the bug of TOMCAT 6.14 or What somebody Plz help.
    I got stuck here.........!!!!!!!!!!
    It doesn't seem any problem with top.jsp. As per my thinking the problem is there in include due to that it doesn't compile the JSP page in Tomcat 6.0.
    Earlier I am having same code running on the Tomcat 5.0.28 and JDK 1.5.0.
    But problem occured when I have used Tomcat 6.x...!!

  • How can share data between jsp pages using beans??

    any one can give me code for 2 jsp pages with bean that share data for them

    <jsp:usebean name="yourBeanName" type="com.whatever.foo" scope="session"/>
    this will look for a bean named yourBeanName in the scope specified by the scope attribute. If none was found, the container will instantiate one with the no arg constructor for your bean and place it into the proper scope.
    if your bean had a method getName(), you could then on your jsp do:
    <%=yourBeanName.getName()%> to print the results of the method to the page. there are other ways to do the actual placing of the output on the page, but this is the most direct.

  • JSP Dynpage and Bean

    Hi there,
    I have developed a portal application using JSP Dynpage which calls R/3 BAPI but I have a strange issue here.
    This application calls BAPI and displays it using HTMLB table control.
    When returned values from R/3 are small, it is OK. The problem is when large amount of data comes from R/3, data is correctly displayed but Bean seems to be cleared after displaying it. Therefore if one clicks any button on the applicaiton, NullPointerException occurs due to null bean.
    Bean scope is "Application".
    Do you have any experience like this? Any input is appreciated!
    Regards,
    Kazuya

    At the moment there is a lot of ambigious information about this, and I've asked for some weblog tying it all together (see Bean scope storage confussion)
    You problem is that beans in the application scope can be deleted at anytime if the SAP J2EE needs memory. Try the session scope (or search the forums, lots of people have had the same problem before)

    Thanks very much for your input. I made changes to my bean accordingly. Actually the method getAdminType() is a not a getter of a property. It's just a method which iam calling in AdminController bean constructor to verify whether the person is System Admin or Client admin. So now the issue is inspite of making changes still the link "Copy Users" shows up for Client admin too which is incorrect.

  • Data Passing Problem with Adobe Interactive Forms

    Hello all,
    I am trying to create a Guided Procedure to implement an offline Adobe Interactive form. This form is based on the standard Requisition Request form used in MSS for e-Recruiting.
    I've copied the standard form and updated the layout to ZCI using the appropriate transaction (not manually). After that, I've changed the Interface and layout. But to get the Form in the portal you need to have a .xpd file. Therefore, I've tested the form in preview mode, saved a copy as a PDF file and opened this copy in the standalone Adobe Lifecycler Designer. In the standalone version you are able to save the form as a PDF (not possible using transaction SFP).
    My question 1 is if this is a wrong approach and there is a better way to retrieve the xpd file.
    Next to that, I wrote a RFC function to retrieve data in the backend. This function is working and now I try to pass the data to the Form in the GP (using prefilling). The data is never passed, any points that I need to check there. The data used to export is a structure that contains a number of table types, because Adobe has issues with importing tables it seems. The form is working correctly in the backend.
    Points will be rewarded for helpfull awnsers!
    Kind regards & thanks in advance...

    Hi Eduard Vilar,
    Go to sfp transaction, open the respective form, enter the transaction 'fb_xdp_down' to import the xdp layout and 'fb_xdp_up' to upload.
    Hope this will hwlp. (i beleive you meant xdp rather than xpd )

  • URGENT: Parameter Passing Problem

    In Forms 6i I am sucessfully passing parameters from one form to another. The problem is I want the receiving form to execute the query at startup. I cant run execute_query; unless the form is in enter_query mode. In a trigger execute_query cannot be run in Enter_Query mode. So I am stumped. Ideally I wanted to try:-
    -- Initailise Block Items with Parameters --
    Enter_Query;
    :interview.Position_ID := :PARAMETER.p_Position_ID;
    :interview.Candidate_ID := :PARAMETER.p_Candidate_ID;
    Execute_Query;
    Obviously the reasons above stop me doing the above example.
    Please Help

    Hello
    This example is base on the dept table.
    Please try this
    trigger ->WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE
    :GLOBAL.my_var := 10;
    trigger ---> PRE-QUERY
    SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY('emp', DEFAULT_WHERE, 'DEPTNO= ' ||:GLOBAL.my_var);
    it works fine in my little example put the trigger on Forms level.
    Best regards Patrick.

  • Link Problem in JSP Dynpage

    Hi Folks,
             My requirement is as follows.
    I have jsp file being integrated with JSPDynpage.on the left hand side of the jsp file I am trying to call one more jsp file on hyperlink.I have all my jsp files under pagelet/webapps/holcim/jsp folder.
             But my problem is when I click the hypelink in the first jsp I am not able to go the second jsp.It says the reqd file is not found.
             I tried with componentRequest.getWebResourcePath() also.Nothing worked?
              The above scenario works perfectly in Tomcat.
               Any clues you will be rewarded for really helpful answers.
    Regards,
    Guru

    Hi Guru,
    In order to access the JSP's via url, you need to create a new component in your portalapp.xml as such:
        <component name="Help">
          <component-config>
            <property name="ComponentType" value="JSPNative"/>
            <property name="JSP" value="pagelet/help.jsp"/>
          </component-config>
    Then in order to create your link in the JSP do the following:
    <% String componentName = componentRequest.getComponentContext().getApplicationName();
       String helpUrl = "/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/"+componentName+".Help";
    %>
    Hope this helps,
    Marty

  • Need Help:  Problem with JSP setProperty to Bean

    Hi,
    This is my first time posting to this forum so I am not completely aware how Duke dollars work but if anybody can help me I will be happy to give some... whats normal for solving a problem?? 10??
    Anyway... the problem...
    I have a simple JSP with a simple HTML <form> that has a text field and a Submit button. Submit takes the user to the next JSP page however the setter method for property 'user' is never called. I can verify this through an attached debugger.
    I am using Tomcat 5.5, and I never had a problem like this in previous versions of Tomcat.
    I have tried changing the scope of the bean to request however nothing changed. I excluded all my business logic and tested this one more time just to make sure I wasn't inadvertadely screwing with something however this still does not work.
    I am sure I am missing something small but for the life of me I can't figure out what.
    Here is my code:

    <%@page pageEncoding="UTF-8"%>

    Oops!
    I not only realized my mistake, I also accidentally posted this in the wrong forum. I meant to post in the JSP Forum.
    For reference, what I did wrong was I placed my setProperty tag in index.jsp rather than placing it in multi.jsp (the file specified in the form action).
    Everything works now.
