Urgent: How to map existing java classes

I created an IDL file where I want to use java.sql.ResultSet. The line is:
module CMS {
interface Comm {
ResultSet search(in string searchString);
The ResultSet has to be the ResultSet as in java.sql.ResultSet. I tried to add the following code:
module java {
module sql {
interface ResultSet {
but it doesn't work. Who can help me?

I think that you can try the type "Any"
Then after the client receive the any object it can be cast to the object you have.

  • Strategy for mapping existing Java classes to db uing toplink

    I have simple POJO, I used the JDev Class Diagram to add relations to the POJO and then tried to map using Toplink to Database. Is this the correct Strategy? or Should I directly use POJOs without the relationsships, to map to DB using TOPLINK?

    Assuming your schema is as follows
    User table has a primary key ID with other columns
    MentorRel table has two columns (e.g. mentor_id and protege_id) that are FKs pointing to the User.ID ( primary key)
    I would suggest that you normalize your schema further by creating a column in User table called MentorID which will be a self referencing FK. This will automatically capture your 1:M relationship between a Mentor and Protege (as a User can be a Mentor or a Protege). You will also get rid of the MentorRel table this way.
    Once you are done, you will be able to map this nicely. Let me know if this does not work.

  • Map xsd complex type to existing java class without adding JAXB annotations

    Hello
    I've got a case where I should map an xsd complex type to an existing Java class without modifying that class, i.e. without adding JAXB annotations to that class.
    Is this possible somehow?
    As far as I've understood, the <javaType> declaration (adapter, parse/print methods) can only be used for xsd simple types.
    Thanks, Tom

    It should be possible to implement an XmlAdapter<...,...> which performs the required conversion between the original type and a JAXB-annotated type. Then, at the places where the original type is used, the @XmlJavaTypeAdapter annotation would be used.
    The xjc compiler supports this for xsd simple types (xjc:javaType annotation), but not for complex types.
    Any idea why this is restricted to simple types?
    Would it be possible to implement a xjc plugin which does this for complex types?
    Thanks Tom.

  • How to create a UML diagram from a existing .java/.class file?

    I want to create a UML diagram from a existing .java/.class file automatic in JDeveloper. Can I get it? thanks!

    create a new class diagram and then simply drag the java classes from your project onto the diagram area.

  • Than how can i get java class by using it's class file?

    Hi
    After compilation of a java program, it creates a class file.
    After getting class file suppose class file has been deleted.
    Than how can i get java class by using it's class file?
    Thanks in advance.

    get a decompiler and run your class file through it--I'll assume you want the source code back and that you are not trying to recover a missing class file by attempting to use the class file that is missing--if it's missing, then I've not a clue on how to get it back by using what is already missing.
    BTW: many of your compilers have source control--if it does, just restore your missing file.

  • How to call a Java class from another java class ??

    Hi ..... can somebody plz tell me
    How to call a Java Class from another Java Class assuming both in the same Package??
    I want to call the entire Java Class  (not any specific method only........I want all the functionalities of that class)
    Please provide me some slotuions!!
    Waiting for some fast replies!!
    Regards
    Smita Mohanty

    Hi Smita,
    you just need to create an object of that class,thats it. Then you will be able to execute each and every method.
    e.g.
    you have developed A.java and B.java, both are in same package.
    in implementaion of B.java
    class B
                A obj = new A();
                 //to access A's methods
                 A.method();
                // to access A's variable
                //either
               A.variable= value.
               //or
               A.setvariable() or A.getvariable()

  • Mapping existing actionscript class (mx.collections.SortField) to java

    Hi,
    I would like to map the existing SortField actionscript class on a SortField class on my java backend.
    Is it possible to map an actionscript class from standard flex API to a java class? If so, how?
    Thanks

    Yeah, there is something awry with your mapped classes.  You don't use the java source files to map your classes, you use AS3
    classes that are designated to which classes they map to on the backend.  Observe..
    package shared.servicevos
       import flash.events.EventDispatcher;
       import flash.events.IEventDispatcher;
       [Bindable]
       [RemoteClass(alias="amf.ShopperVO")]
       public class ShopperVO
           public var shopperId:int;
           public var shopperLocation:String;
           public var shopDate:Date;
           public var shopperAddress:Address
    If you notice the the metadata beginning with "RemoteClass", I am telling Flex "when you see an object that comes in with this type "alias" it is should be made into a ShopperVO".  On the backend, I have a folder with a directory structure of /amf and it contains a ShopperVO.java class.
    P.S This isn't exactly the setup I am working with cause I am using php, but the ideas are the same.

  • XSLT mapping calls Java class, with hardcoded values-problem at Transport

    Hi All,
    I know the subject may be  misguiding, but i need some suggestions how to handle the following scenario.
    From my XSLT mapping, i am calling a java function which performs a data connection to an oracle database and then returns some values, whcih i have mapped in the mapping.
    The problem is, i have hardcoded the Connection parameters....
    and now that we transport these objects to production, the connection parameters will change.
    I thought of two solutions
    1) i create a new java class for Production system
    2) i define the parameters as input arguemnts to my method, whcih is called from XSLT mapping
    But in both cases, if theres any chg in future, there will a dependancy on one of the objects to be changed and sent again.
    What is the suggested way? is there nothing like a property file(like in EP), where you define dependant parameters...and the file is only changed.
    XI Gurus, please suggest me the correct way to handle.....
    Thanks a lot.
    Mona

    Mona,
    This is what i do..
    1) Parametrize ur current calling class,
    2) define a separate class called dbConnect.java there, you have all your parameters that way when there is a change your main program is untouched, and you just need to change the dbconnect.
    The call from your current class will be just like
    dbConnect.Runsql("sql as a string");
    the runSql can then internally call
    dbConnect().connect(); //that should do the connection opening.
    then create a prepared statement from your string input and call the db.......
    this is the implementation that would be best suited for your scenario, you can further parametrize the method to where you can add the database params from the calling xml..so all that needs to be done when the machine is changed or any param is changed is ..modify the xml........not too bad was that.....

  • Implementing DOM Interface with existing Java classes

    I had planned on using some tree-like Java classes as a Document Object Model, which would give me access to all sorts of XML and DOM tools like parsers and XSLT transformers. Initially, I thought all that would be neccessary is to implement all the DOM Interfaces in org.w3c.dom and then I would have a set of classes that conformed to DOM Level 1. It was my understanding that interfaces such as DOMImplementation and Document would interface with various XML tools, allowing creation of a class that implements Document and then Document would have its various factory methods that know how to create the various DOM nodes such as Element, Attr, Text, NamedNodeMap, NodeList, etc.
    The problem I'm seeing now is that the JAXP specification (which is what the latest Xerces and Xalan tools conform to) has something called a DocumentBuilder and DocumentBuilderFactory that appear to be necessary to tell the framework what type of class to instantiate that implements the Document DOM interface. Those appear to have a lot of methods that deal with parsing of XML documents and I didn't really want to write or even subclass any existing Parsers in order to get the functionality of traversing and transforming a set of classes that implement the DOM interface.
    Am I missing something here? Is it possible to plug in any (set of classes for) DOMImplementation and get them to work with the various DOM and XML tools out there?
    Is there an easier way to allow parts of an application access to internal data structures but have the more generic tools or APIs, such as XSL transformers, access that same set of classes as a DOM with the generic DOM interface methods?
    Can someone provide me with some guidance here? I'm in the process of finalizing some design on a system and need to know if this is possible or if I need to alter my design.
    Thanks.

    If I understand you correctly, I think I am working on a similar issue. I am unhappy with the methods given by the DOM for retrieving data from the XML file and for building a file. Our software has a bunch of code that uses these classes and it is extremely ugly. My solution was to create a facade on top of the DOM model. Essentially I have some simple classes that store all the pertinent info (for me) about the XML structure. Essentially that is the element or attribute name, its values and in the case of the element, it's children. This makes it easier for me to build and retreive the data. What I then built was a loader class and a builder class. The loader takes an XML file and parses it in using the DOM classes and builds a structure using my classes and returns the root element. The builder takes a root element and creates a DOM object out of it. This frees me of having to code around the DOM classes all over the place and makes it simple to upgrade our XML code if the DOM changes or a better DOM is released. I am using factories to facilitate this and allow me to have loaders for specific types of XML documents so that I can have a class for each which further simplifies the XML related tasks of other developers on my team.

  • How to use the java class created by  "CONTIVO" as web sevrvice?

    Hi All,
    We are creating the java class by the Contivo mapping tool, how to use that class as a web serivce?
    Very thankful if anyone gives some light on this.
    Thanks in advance.....

  • How to spread a java class!

    Hi,
    I am thinking how spread a java class with existing libraries?
    In general, I would be to search solution to the class QueryParser which
    use operators AND, OR ... with English language in FullText, but I would
    be to use also french language then I must change operator AND, OR by ET, OU.
    What's possibility exist to make this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I am working on Hibernate search to make of the fulltext, but there is a class QueryParser which uses the operators by default AND, OR be defined on Java. Then, I would like to make also with French by changing the operators AND, OR by ET, OU for example:
    string q = "Jean AND Maison";
    The AND is included by hibernate search as +
    string q = "Jean ET Maison";
    The"ET" is not included by hibernate search thus he(it) needs to spread the class so that he(it) is taken into account.
    Thansks.

  • XSLT Mapping with Java class not working in Integration Repository

    Hi,
    I have an XSLT mapping program with Java enhancement and I was able to successfully tested it in Stylus Studio. However, when I imported the Java class and the xslt program in Enterprise Service Builder and tested it, my program does not compile.
    Here is the error message: "Transformer Configuration Exception occurred when loading XSLT mapping_temp.xsl; details: Could not compile stylesheet".
    My java program is in a zip file containing SOAPHeaderHandler.java and SOAPHeaderhandler.class. My Java has a package com.nga.xslt.
    Here is the declaration of my Java class in the XSLT: xmlns:javamap="java:com.nga.xslt.SOAPHeaderHandler"
    It seems that it could not read the java class. Can you please advice what is wrong?

    Hi ,
    select XMLTOOLKIT option in Operation mapping and execute it.
    I am not sure we can call java program in XSLT Program,but alternative is copy the code and use it in XSLT mapping it self,that means your XSLT program will become with JAVA extensions.
    then in Operation mapping level select SAPXMLTOOL kit option and execute it. i hope it will work. if it is not working then you have deploy some JAXP files on server,because the way execution of XSLT Mpaping program got changed,like when eve you executing XSLT with extnasions( if you are not using XMLTOOL kit option) then you have to use latest version of JAXP.JDK files.

    do you mean decompiling? there are tons of java decompilers available out there, what exactly are you trying to do here?
