*** URGENT *** Poplist VO results not current unless Apache is bounced.

All,
In my "create" page I use a VO for my poplist. The VO utilizes a "where" clause to identify specific accounts to choose from based on a configuration value. My poplist doesn't update properly when updating the configuration value unless I bounce Apache. Is typical within OAF?
select cont_cd, cont_cd||' - '||customer customer
from spl_account_map
where attribute4 <> 'N'
or attribute4 is null
When I update Attribute4 = "Y" for specific accounts, they don't appear in poplist unless Apache is bounced. Is this typical? Would an LOV work instead?
Thanks,
-Scott

Prior to release 11.5.10, poplist data was cached on the middle tier in a proprietary OA Framework cache that could not be refreshed without bouncing the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). As a consequence, poplists could not reflect changes in the underlying data source while users were actively working. Starting with release 11.5.10, poplist data is cached using the Oracle Applications Java Caching Framework, and as a result, you can implement cache invalidation to automatically refresh poplists when the data they query changes. For example, if a poplist queries the values A, B, C, and D, and a new value E is inserted in the underlying table, your poplist can automatically reflect the addition of this fifth value the next time it renders its data.
Dev guide says "Apply patch 3688496 to any environment in which you plan to deploy this caching functionality.", seems to solve this this. For details refer to "Cache Invalidation" in dev guide.

  • HTTP Server is not currently supported with Solaris 10

I am having a problem to start the HTTP Server on Solaris 10 (I am installing HTTP Server as part of HTMLDB installation on Solaris 10).
I had a problem to install it at first, however I've found on 'AskTom' that unsetting ORA_NLS33 helps and it did. Now I can't start the HTTP server and I've found on metalink that 'HTTP Server is not currently supported with Solaris 10, this is targeted for Q2CY05'.
    Has this been fixed yet?
    Thank you for your time.

  • When trying to download Boot Camp Windows Support Software, error says: "Can't install the software because it is not currently available from the Software Update server."

I use a Macbook Pro 13" mid 2010 on Mavericks and I've tried using the Boot Camp assistant to download support software for Windows 7. This gives the error "Can't install the software because it is not currently available from the Software Update server."
Further, I tried to separately download Boot Camp 4 and 5. When I do this and try to install from Windows 7, it says that this version of Boot Camp is not for this computer and doesn't install. The result is that I have Windows 7 working and installed, but am unable to use the trackpad to rightclick, brightness settings, etc.
    Please help!
    Thanks

You need to run Bootcamp Assistant and select only the menu item to download the Windows Support Software. Follow the instructions. The download servers are extremely slow therefore it may take several hours to get the download.

  • Boot camp assistant: Can't install the software because it is not currently available from the Software Update server.

Error: Boot camp assistant: Can't install the software because it is not currently available from the Software Update server.
    OS 10.9.1
    iMac 27-inch, Late 2009
Boot Camp Assistant Version 5.1.0 (473)
Every time I run this I get the above error after I hit "Continue" on the "Save Windows Support Software" page and subsequently hit "Download Windows 7 Support Software."
How do I successfully install 64 bit WIndows 7 on my iMac?
    Thank you!

Waited a month and tried again with the same result. What gives? Does Apple no longer support Bootcamp with Windows 7? Do they not read these posts and help out customers? If Apple doesn't care and won't help, can anyone else suggest something? My large company does not like Apple and barely supports those of us who buck the trend and buy Macs. If I have to buy a PC to support their software to work from home this only gives them more "ammunition" to decline to support Macs. Any advice anyone can give would be greatly appreciated!

  • What`s wrong with this message "purchase of this item is not currently available"

what`s wrong with this message “purchase of this item is not currently available”,I test my app with sandbox,it always told me this message from this morning, but it was all right last night.

This appears to have been resolved over the weekend.  A sandbox status page would be useful.  The sandbox does have frequent problems, resulting in quite a lot of lost development time.

Other versions may or may not work - so fixing any errors that result from unsupported/uncertified combinations is up to you.

  • Should not happen unless default context failed to deploy

Can somebody please throw some light on this error?
              <Mar 5, 2001 10:07:26 AM EST> <Error> <HTTP> <HttpServer5173817,null

HTTP/1.0". This should not happen unless the default context failed
              to deploy.>
Myself and lot of other people in my team are getting this error
when using beans in a cluster.
I am getting this error consistently whenever I make some code
changes in my bean class (not interface changes) and redeploy it
and try to lookup through a stand-alone client.
The only way I could find to overcome this problem is:
              1) edit config.xml to remove the Application element completely
              corresponding to the bean
              2) remove jar files from the applications directory
              3) re-deploy and run the client again.
              Thanks a lot
              Kiran Ganuthula

Partly it could be WLS problem also. Under any circumstances default webapp should be able
to deploy. I have seen somebody else also reported the same problem. The current problem is
if you delete anything from apps dir, the corresponding entry is not being deleted from config.xml
So next time when you boot the server, it tries to deploy the webapp and eventually it fails.
I 'm not sure if this is the situation in your case.
In anycase somehow Targets tag is not being picking up. That's why i asked you add
"WebServers" tag. I think we have done some major changes in SP1, to make sure that
default webapp deploys all the times.
If you still have problems, post it to servlet or management group, we will discuss there.

    ERROR:

Also, in the services running, I can see that the listener is started and running:

Maybe it has something to do with the other listener, that I cannot start:

    hi all,

TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
    any one have the solution?
    Regards:
    mn=================================
    A couple of important points.
First, the listener is a server side only process. It's entire purpose in life is to receive requests for connections to databases and set up those connections. Once the connection is established, the listener is out of the picture. It creates the connection. It doesn't sustain the connection. One listener, with the default name of LISTENER, running from one oracle home, listening on a single port, will serve multiple database instances of multiple versions running from multiple homes. It is an unnecessary complexity to try to have multiple listeners or to name the listener as if it belongs to a particular database. That would be like the telephone company building a separate switchboard for each customer.
Additional notes on the listener: One listener is capable of listening on multiple ports. But please notice that it is the listener using these ports, not the database instance. You can't bind a specific listener port to a specific db instance. Similarly, one listener is capable of listnening on multiple IP addresses (in the case of a server with multiple NICs) But just like the port, you can't bind a specific ip address to a specific db instance.
Second, the tnsnames.ora file is a client side issue. It's purpose is for address resolution - the tns equivalent of the 'hosts' file further down the network stack. The only reason it exists on a host machine is because that machine can also run client processes.
Assume you have the following in your tnsnames.ora:
    larry =
      (DESCRIPTION =
        (ADDRESS_LIST =
          (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = myhost)(PORT = 1521))
        (CONNECT_DATA =
          (SERVICE_NAME = curley)
)Now, when you issue a connect, say like this:
$> sqlplus scott/tiger@larrytns will look in your tnsnames.ora for an entry called 'larry'. Finding it, tns sends a request through the normal network stack to (PORT = 1521) on (HOST = myhost) using (PROTOCOL = TCP), asking for a connection to (SERVICE_NAME = curley).
Where is (HOST = myhost) on the network? When the request gets passed from tns to the next layer in the network stack, the name 'myhost' will get resolved to an IP address, either via a local 'hosts' file, via DNS, or possibly other less used mechanisms. You can also hard-code the ip address (HOST = 123.456.789.101) in the tnsnames.ora.
Next, the standard networking process delivers the message to port 1521 on myhost. Hopefully, there is a listener on myhost configured to listen on port 1521, and that listener knows about SERVICE_NAME = curley. If so, the listener will spawn a server process to act as the intermediary between your client and the database instance. Communication to the server process will be on a randomly selected available port. At that point the listener is out of the process and continues to user port 1521 to await other connection requests.
    What can go wrong?
First, there may not be an entry for 'larry' in your tnsnames. In that case you get "ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified" No need to go looking for a problem on the host, with the listener, etc. If you can't place a telephone call because you don't know the number (can't find your telephone directory (tnsnames.ora) or can't find the party you are looking for listed in it (no entry for larry)) you don't look for problems at the telephone switchboard.
Maybe the entry for larry was found, but myhost couldn't be resolved to an IP address (say there was no entry for myhost in the local hosts file). This will result in "ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist"
Maybe there was an entry for myserver in the local hosts file, but it specified a bad IP address. This will result in "ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist"
Maybe the IP was good, but there is no listener running: "ORA-12541: TNS:no listener"
Maybe the IP was good, there is a listener at myhost, but it is listening on a different port. "ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error"
Maybe the IP was good, there is a listener at myhost, it is listening on the specified port, but doesn't know about SERVICE_NAME = curley. "ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor"
Third: If the client is on the same machine as the db instance, it is possible to connect without referencing tnsnames and without going through the listener.
Now, when you issue a connect, say like this:
$> sqlplus scott/tigertns will attempt to establish an IPC connection to the db instance. How does it know the name of the instance? It uses the current value of the enviornment variable ORACLE_SID. So...
    $> export ORACLE_SID=fred
$> sqlplus scott/tigerIt will attempt to connect to the instance known as "fred". If there is no such instance, it will, of course, fail. Also, if there is no value set for ORACLE_SID, the connect will fail.
check executing instances to get the SID

    ERROR:
ORA-12162: TNS:net service name is incorrectly specifiedOk, that is how we get from the client connection request to the listener. What about the listener's part of all this?
The listener is very simple. It's job is to listen for connection requests and make the connection (server process) between the client and the database instance. Once that connection is made, the listener is out of the picture. If you were to kill the listener, all existing connections would continue. The listener is configured with the listener.ora file, but if that file doesn't exist, the listener is quite capable of starting up with all default values. One common mistake with the listner configuration is to specify "HOST=localhost" or "HOST=127.0.01". This is a NONROUTABLE ip address. LOCALHOST and ip address 127.0.0.1 always mean "this machine on which I am sitting". So, all computers are known as "localhost" or "127.0.0.1". If you specify this address, the listener will only be capable of receiving requests from the machine on which it is running. If you specified that address in your tnsnames file - on a remote client machine - the request would be routed to the machine on which the requesting client resides. Probably not what you want.

The DefaultFileName directive does not work with apache-webligic bridge

    Wei

I also had same issues using iPhone 5. Got chance to speak with senior engineers at NTC and they have confirmed 3G equipment they are using is not yet compatible with 3G band that iPhone 5 uses. So technically speaking, iPhone 5 has a hardware that is a generation ahead and not backward compatible to 3G system NTC currently uses.
On a bright side though, they confirmed that NTC is aware of the situation and is soon upgrading its hardware within next 1 or 2 months which will finally support 3G on iPhone 5. The other operator though already has support for this (don't want to mention their name but you know the alternative).
As for me, I'll be waiting for the (super frustrating) NTC to upgrade their hardware.
BTW - Apple has nothing to do with this issue.

I think there is something wrong with the App Store today.  I can get to the front page on and off, and it still has not been updated (being Thursday and all).  Then if I try to go to one of the categories pages, it gives me the error again.
I called my friend to see if he was having the same problem and he was, then he was able to get in.
I've actually noticed the App Store has been a little off since last night.  Last night I tried doing a search for apps, and instead of giving me the pages and pages of app results I usually get, I was getting only 1 page.

  • Error when running Actions - Command "set" not currently available.

I am trying to run an action for creating a 3D paperback book. Every time I run it, whether I make changes or not, it stops part of the way through the second step with the error message 'command "set" not currently available'. If I continue anyway, it completes the action but the end result doesn't look right. What can I do to fix this?

Yes, it was a free download I found online and yes I was following the steps. However, I ended up fixing the issue by downloading an updated version of the same action that was part of a set of 3D actions. This one was not free but it was well worth it to save me the time and headache of trying to figure out how to fix the other one. Plus it came with tons of other awesome actions that I will use as well.
