URL in Email Alert

Hi All,
can any one tell me, how to add an URL of lead / account / contact or any other record in alert mail.
Nisman

Nisman,
This is a link to an Opty record on the XXX pod:
https://secure-ausomxXXX.crmondemand.com/OnDemand/user/OpportunityDetail?OpptyDetailForm.Id=AXXX-12ZZZU
To reuse this for any other record type or another system do the following:
Open a record that you want to link to i.e. SR and you get this URL at the top
https://secure-ausomxXXX.crmondemand.com/OnDemand/user/ServiceRequestDetail?ServiceRequestDetailForm.Id=HU15-NT8Q&OMTGT=ServiceRequestDetailForm&OMTHD=ServiceRequestDetailNav&OMRET0=ServiceRequestHomepage&OCTYPE=Other&ocTitleField=Abstract&ocTitle=Send+copy+of+Annual+Report&ocEdit=Y
As you can see the URL starts the same except it references ServiceRequestDetail instead of Opty detail.
From the OnDemand screen copy everything from http:// to ServiceRequestDetail? ServiceRequestDetailFormID= and paste it into your workflow email.
Click the Fx button and add the Row ID.
Voila you now have a link in an email that will open the record that triggered the workflow

  • SharePoint Foundation 2013 AAM, alerts, URL in email alerts

    Hello all,
    I have the following situation.
SharePoint Foundation 2013 server updated to October CU. Created an web application and extended it for internet zone. AAM are defined. This is a new farm. No content database was attached. No previously created
    alerts.
I can access this web app with:
http://servername for the default zone and http://internet for thw internet zone.
If i subscribe to receive alerts using the internet zone url the first email that i get contains correct URL to http://internet but the further emails regarding the actual changes contain references to the
URL from the default zone http://servername excepting the mobile view button wich goes to http://internet....
    Thank you

It is recommended that you use a single FQDN + SSL Url (if you have external access) due to issues with alerts like this.

  • Add Issue ID to an email alert?

    Dear all,
    (running WSS 3.0)
I'm desperately trying to add the Issue ID to the alert email that is sent when a list item is assigned to you. I have looked around and followed many tutorials online, however none of my changes have had any effect. So far I have done:
    Copied alerttemplates.xml to customalerttemplates.xml
    Edited customalerttemplates.xml
    Removed "ID" from <ImmediateNotificationExcludedFields>
    Ran stsadm -o updatealerttemplates -url http://server -filename "C:\Program files\common files\Microsoft shared\web server extensions\12\template\XML\customalerttemplates.xml"
    Ran iisrest
    Restarted Sharepoint Timer service
However even after doing that the email sent when an item is assigned is just the basic default! I've just tried to add the ID to the most simple section of the email (footer) however nothing seems to change the email alert.
    I've followed guides such as:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointdevelopment/thread/c458eb9c-e9a7-4957-98d8-596962c1e2c2

    Can anyone please help?
    Regards,
    Steve

I am aware that this is very old thread, and I needed similar solution to display ID in the email alerts.
I am using SharePoint 2010 Enterprise. And I am able to get it displayed correctly in the alerts. Output attached:
Here are the changes I did:
    1. Created a copy of alerttemplates.xml and named it as alerttemplatesWithIssueID.xml.
    2. Open it in browser to check the structure. And then removed "ID" from <Properties><ImmediateNotificationExcludedFields> and <DigestNotificationExcludedFields> for SPAlertTemplateType.GenericList and SPAlertTemplateType.AssignedToNotification
    <AlertTemplate> types.
Note: <AlertTemplate Type="List"  Name="SPAlertTemplateType.AssignedToNotification"> has just one property <Properties><ImmediateNotificationExcludedFields></Properties> as DigestNotification is not applicable for this event
    type.
    3. register it using stsadm -o updatealerttemplates command.
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\BIN>stsadm -o updatealerttemplates -url http://<sitecollectionUrl> -filename "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\XML\alerttemplatesWithIssueID.xml"
    -lcid 1033
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\BIN>iisreset
    Attempting stop...
    Internet services successfully stopped
    Attempting start...
    Internet services successfully restarted
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\BIN>
    4. My next todo action item is to display it on top instead of displaying ID at the bottom of the alert.

  • WAAS Email Alerting

Is there a way to set up e-mail alerting for when the central manager shows an alert.  For instance recently one of our appliances show that a power supply is bad and needs to be replaced.  I see in the central manager that there is a section for SMTP server info but according to the documentation I believe that this is only for notification of report jobs correct me if I am wrong. I also know that you can go to each device and set up notifications and provide the SMTP info there as well but I'm not sure if that will send the right information.  I have looked on the device GUI that has the bad power supply and can't find anywhere in the GUI that says it has a bad power supply. The alert is only showing up in the central manager as well as if you SSH to the device and do a show alerts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Daniel,
Yes. You can do this but not from Central Manager.
Please login to the WAE directly. Please make sure to use IE as browser. Use this URL to login to WAE directly (bypassing WAE):
    https://:8443
Login as admin. Once you login, click on Cisco WAE --> Configuration --> Notifier Tab. You will see Email Notification option. Please fill in the details and enable what level of SNMP alerts you want to recive from the device.
Please also make sure to enable SNMP alerts and configure SNMP options from CM for the device. Link on Central Manager: My WAN --> Manage Devices --> --> Configure --> Monitoring --> SNMP .
Here is the link to help you with SNMP configuration:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/waas/v421/configuration/guide/SNMP.html
Please note that at this time, you can only  enable email alerts from WAE on individual basis.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards.

count is less than 10. Or memory usage is > something.
I would like to setup alerts for my application which is running 24x7.
    I could

[I am sorry if I posted this item in multiple newsgroups. I am not sure
    where
exactly this fits. Thanks]Sure you can do it. setup a script which uses the weblogic.Admin utility to check
for various things like server status etc, pipe the output to a file, read the
file and set a condition to email you when the condition is not met, you can set
it up as a cron job.
    example --
java weblogic.Admin -url t3://servername:port -username yoursystemusername -password
    somepassword GET -mbean menloview413:Location="servername",Name=default,ServerRunti
    me="servername",Type=ExecuteQueueRuntime -property ExecuteThreadCurrentIdleCount
outfile.txtThen grep outfile.txt for ExecuteThreadCurrentIdleCount and use the if -- then
    -- else loop.

  • Dynamic URL - multiple email addresses

    Hi
We would like to send an email to multiple users in a SharePoint list with a specific InfoPath URL which would only be accessible to an individual user.
The list contains the users email addresses with the web address to that individual's specific form URL. We managed to create a form which the users can select multiple addresses to send the email alerts to. The email addresses all string together with ; and
    are sent correctly.
I would just to like to send a dynamic URL to each user which changes depending on the email address that we used. For example, Mike is associated with a url - mikesform in the list. I email Mike and John and I would like in the body of the mail, a single address
which changes - mikesform/johnsform. Is this possible?
I hope my explanation makes sense and I would really appreciate any suggestions>
    Thanks
    Tony

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the details honestly..
Have you looked into SharePoint Designer? You're able to send emails that include list column variables. For example, you can send an email to "Assigned to," and include the "form URL" list column. This way, each email that is generated uses the information
from the list item it's triggered on.
Maybe that can at least get you down the right path :)

  • Include URL in the Alert message in Sitescope Alert

    Hi,
I am trying to include the URL int he Evetn mapping but unable to fidn the Attribute to include the URL in the alert. Please suggest.

    Hi,
If this is a static URL then you can include it in alert by modifing the alert templates under templates.mail in installed directory. In case of dynamic URL's put them under group/monitor description feild nad include it in alert using the tag like "Monitor:  <groupID>:<name> <groupDescription>" in alert template.

    Hi All.
    I have this request.
BODS 3.1 : How to trigger an email alert for the jobs on BODS server ?
We have jobs scheduled on BODS running smoothly and absolutely fine.
But to check, i am logging into the admin console and check for the jobs status.
I would like to have an email to be received from BODS after each job is finished.
It could succuessful. Or it could fail.
Whatsoever, i wish to receive an email alert as soon as a job is finished.
Can anyone advise me as to whether this could be made possible.
And if yes, how this could be done.
Thanks for your help in advance.
In BOE CMC / for webi / schedule / we find an option to send email for a job success or a job failure.
Is there any option similar to that in BODS ?
Also would like to know :
how to use the smtp_to or mail_to functions ?
how to set up the smtp server for this ?
    thanks

    Hi.
Since am new to this BODS. I need some help.
I already have many jobs which are running absolutely fine.
And when a job runs, and finishes, am able to see the trace saying
    e.g. :
    Job_abc is completed successfully.
We got the smtp service activated for our test server.
and we hae a group email id.
I have put the details of the smtp server / ip address / and said apply restarted.
The i created a simple test script as below :
    print (' Before email ' );
    smtp_to('abc@company_name.com', 'Job ' || job_name() ||' on ' || host_name() || ' has FAILED',
    ' the job has failed', 0, 0);
    print('After Email ');
It does send a email to as per smtp_to whatever email is specified.
But how to differentiate between a job success
And a job which has failed.
I wish to have a mail which says on the subject :
    'Job ' || job_name() ||' on ' || host_name() || ' has completed successfully'
==> IF it is a success
    OR
    'Job ' || job_name() ||' on ' || host_name() || ' has failed'
    ==> if it has failed
How to make the system identify, whether
to send a success message or a error message whatever
    Could anyone advise.
    thanks

  • Have problem setting Email alerts for Calendar events. Warning message says I need to set up a card in Contacts with my email. I do but it doesn't recognize it. How do I indicate the email I want alerts sent to?

The system of setting up email alerts for Calendar events worked fine in Snow Leopard but since I upgraded to Mt. Lion Calendar won't let me set email alerts. When I try, I get an error message saying I need to set up a card in Contacts for my email. I have a card set up in Contacts for both of my email addresses but it doesn't recognize them. Perhaps the name I have on the card doesn't match a name that Calendar is looking for. Calendar doesn't seem to have a way in Preferences or elsewhere to indicate the email I want alerts sent to. Any ideas how I can get this system working again? Thanks for your help.

You might want to consider starting a new discussion. Since this one is marked solved, less people are likely to look at it. You can link to this one.
See if another contact is marked as this is my card.

    Hi All,
I had created sharepoint workflow usind SPD 2010. when new item is created it sends the email with link. But it sends current list link not the current item link.
I tried to use Encoded Absolute URL but this like

but i need something like this
    http://asdf.com/Lists/abc/DispForm.aspx?ID
I have grow thorough some post and i found that,
Statically i can write http://asdf.com/Lists/abc/DispForm.aspx?ID= and from Add lookup i can get ID by choosing current item.
The link which i get is partially hyperlink like this
http:aasdf.com/Lists/abc/DispForm.aspx?ID=10 (here 10 is not hyperlink)
when i copy and paste this link it works fine but by clicking it i am not getting true result.
Please help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks.

    Hi Raymond,
It works for me. Thank you so much.
I also have another issue related workflow. If you can help me, i really appreciate you.
I already configured AAM. I have two Share Point Address which are:
    Default : http://default.com
    Internal : http://intranet.com
I have List workflow using SharePoint Designer 2010. When new item get create, it sends email to person for approval. But when it sends email it sends Dafault zone URL.
Dafault zone URL is only accessible through Virtual Machine. We cant access from local machine. So i need to send intranet zone URL in email so user can open through local machine.
I tried it but i can only able to do for one list. I have to so this general for every list.
How can i send intranet zone URL?
Swapping the zone URL is not solution for this issue because after swapping situation is same.
    Thank You.

    Hi everybody,
How to configure email Alerts in OEM Cloud 12c for Database Servers up/down status?
    Regards,
    Miguel Vega

    Hi Miguel Vega,
    Information regarding the notifications:
    ==============================
Configuring notification rules in 12c is different from earlier releases.
The concept and function of notification rules has been replaced with a two-tier system consisting of Incident Rules and Incident Rule Sets :
    1. Incident Rules: Operate at the lowest level granularity (on discrete events) and performs the same role as notification rules from earlier releases.
By using incident rules, you can automate the response to incoming incidents and their updates.
A rule contains a set of automated actions to be taken on specific events, incidents or problems.
The actions taken are for example : sending e-mails, creating incidents, updating incidents, and creating tickets.
    2. Incident Rule Set: A rule set is a collection of rules that applies to a common set of objects, for example, targets, jobs, and templates.

  • How do I stop calendar from emailing alerts to me.

This was never an issue on ios 7, but as soon as I upgraded to ios 8 I started getting a ton of new emails alerting me to upcoming events.
I use Google calendar, and I have Google email me alerts for certain events, and I still want those. But I do not want the ones coming from Apple Looking at Google calendar. I am not sure if these new emails are coming from my phone or my Yosemite imac.
    Thoughts?

i am getting getting three emails from each event. One from Google, and two from Apple devices. I suspect I am getting one email from my iPhone and one from my imac. It happened just now, and the instant my iPhone popped up an alert, I received one of the Non Google emails.  About thirty seconds after that I received a second Apple email.
By Apple email, btw, I mean an email I believe was generated by an Apple device. All the emails actually come from my gmail address.
