Usage Customer Exit EXIT_SAPLCUKO_003 / Enhancement CCUX0004

Hello,
I like to add new attributes of instances in LOVC during configuration of material in VA02. I found this Userexit and with function module CUDB_SET_VAL it is possible to add new values in the global table cudbd_pr_at_msg of function group CUDB. After calling EXIT_SAPLCUKO_003 SAP calls function module CUDB_PR_GET_AT_MSGS to get changed values.
Is this the only solution to add new values, because exit EXIT_SAPLCUKO_003 has no changing parameters and there is no sample coding in CMOD or other documentations. Please add your sample to show your solution.
Another question : It is possible to change attributes of multilevel instances? For example : Root instance is for material in sales document position, but in sales order BOM there are other configurable materials, which attributes should be maintained by userexit ( external configurator ), too. Normally only root instance is editable, but I want to add new attributes on the lower levels in background.
Best regards,
Markus

Hi Markus,
I have the problem that I want to delete some characteristics after configuration befor saving. Therefor I found the same exit and only your question in the web. Did you make further expierence with it? It would be very helpful if you could give me an answer.
Best regards,
Harald

  • Bapi enhancement using user/customer exits

    It is necessary to have access to all calls and purchase orders to be able to maintain the control of the ERS procedure centrally in the TBB system for the functionality u201CBestellselektionu201D [purchase order selection],. Without delay, all necessary purchase order and call data is provided for the table 'ERS'  u201Crealtimeu201D via the interface from SRM. It must be ensured that this table is always filled for SRM scopes synchronous with the SAP standard tables (EKKO, purchase order header data, EKPO purchase order item data, EKAN vendor address, EKPA partner roles etc.). For this purpose, efforts are made to load this table during each creation or change of a purchase order. On the ERP side, the u201EBAPI_PO_CREATE1u201C, which is called by SRM via RFC in the ERP, serves the purpose of creating purchase orders. The BAPI_PO_CHANGE is used for changes in the purchase orders. These BAPIs can be enhanced by the Customer exits EXIT_SAPL2012_003 respective EXIT_SAPL2012_004. With the help of the exits, a function module is called, which then provides the customer-specific fields of the table 'ERS'
    i want to enhance bapi using customer /user exit
    so how shall i proceed with this requirement ??
    how sahll i code the include for this req???
    i m using the functions ::
    1] EXIT_SAPL2012_003
    2] EXIT_SAPL2012_004
    so how can i enhance the bapi using user exits..
    I want to transfer the data from SRM system to TBB system with the customizzed table filled with this data at ERP ie TBB side .. so plz reply how shall i proceed ???

    Thanks Naresh, it helped...

  • Customer exit variable - internal table in BEX

    Hi,
    i am running a report and using variables in it.
    The report runs over a info cube. There are few challenges in it.
    One of the variable is posting date, and when user enters posting date i need to negate it with current system date.
    If the negated value is greater than 28 then i need to exclude documnet type 'YG' and display the query, else i need to include the dcumnet type 'YG' and document type '  '.  The above logic can be well implemented via a customer exit variable(for posting date) using an internal table. We have internal tables like C_T_DATA which is used in data source enhancement, which help us to implement our own desired logic.
    Do we have such kind of internal tables, based on which the report output (result set) is derived?
    i know that we have l_t_range and e_t_range, but dont know their usage, some one can explain in detail about them?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Selva & Lakshmin,
    The code given by Selva is almost correct . If my understanding is clear , you also wanted to include  document type ' ' when the negated value is less than 28 .
    Modification in Selvas Code :
    Variable 'V_DOCTYP' must be of type Multiple Single Values.
    DATA : V_DATE LIKE SY-DATUM.
    DATA : V_DAYS TYPE I.
    if i_step = 2.
    when 'V_DOCTYP'.
    READ TABLE i_t_var_range INTO loc_var_range WITH KEY vnam = 'ZV_PDATE''.
    IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
    V_DATE = loc_var_range-low.
    ENDIF.
    V_DAYS = SY-DATUM - V_DATE.
    IF V_DAYS > 28.
    l_s_range-low = 'YG'
    l_s_range-sign = 'E'.
    l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
    APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
    ELSE.
    l_s_range-low = 'YG'
    l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
    l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
    APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
    clear l_s_range.
    l_s_range-low = ' '.
    l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
    l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
    APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
    ENDIF.
    ENDIF.
    Hope the above reply was helpful.

  • Customer Exit Variable Value

    Hi Everyone,
    I've been searching around this forum and couldn't find what I'm looking for hence resulted me starting a new thread here. I'm a fairly beginner in ABAP and I come across a problem where I have no idea on how to solve it.
    Basically, I have a customer exit with multiple variables and it is being filtered out by certain criteria, the question is when I did not fill in any input and execute the query, the result is return as expected however, if i fill in an input that is not supposed to display, it will display as well, and when I debugged, there's no value  E_T_RANGE in the export  Sorry, I might cause some confusion here, but I'm not sure on how to re-phrase my current situation
    I'm guessing that, the variable stores the value eventhough it's being filtered based on the criteria, is that possible? My question is, is it possible to clear the current value in the variable and export the value (E_T_RANGE) ?
    Regards,
    Kilo

    Hi Kilo,
    thanks a lot.
    This is what SAP documentation says about usage of this exit:
    "With this enhancement to global variables in reporting you have the
    option of determining your default values for variables. You can use
    this enhancement for variables, for which 'Processing by Customer-Exit'
    has been selected in the variable maintenance. This is valid for all
    variable types (characteristic value, node, hierarchy, formula and text
    variables). You use the Exit EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001 for this.
    You could, for example, establish the default value of a characteristic
    value variable depending on the user."
    In your exit, first thing to do is check what variable has been passed in parameter I_VNAME. Check if this variable has been set for 'Processing by Customer-Exit' in reporting.
    I think the way to exclude certain values is to use the SIGN 'E' in the range, i.e.
    l_s_range-low = '<variablevalue to exclude> '.
              l_s_range-high = ' '.
              l_s_range-sign = 'E'."Exclude
              l_s_range-opt  = 'EQ'.
    Also, I think the exit is called 3 times per variable name, for you I_STEP = 2 and I_VNAM = 'Z_MUL_O_ZBO00021_091' is relevant.
    I have limited experience with BEX reporting so you may check SAP Help for [Customer Exits in Reusable Query Components|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/f1/0a56f5e09411d2acb90000e829fbfe/frameset.htm]. Hope this helps you to solve the issue.
    Note: When asking a question, give a short description of what you are doing and what you want to achieve in business terms and natural language. Add relevant technical details and help is just around the corner.

  • Scenerios for using I_STEP parameter for creating customer exit variables.

    Hi All,
    I need to create a customer exit variable.
    Please explain the different scenerios for using each i_step parameters.
    For eg. in which practical scenerio i_step 3 is used?

    Hi Shobhit,
    You can find plenty of info on this in the forums, So i suggest you to do a small search with imp Key words. Anyways below is the std usage of I_STEP
    I_STEP = 1
    Call takes place directly before variable entry. Can be used to pre populate selection variables
    I_STEP = 2
    Call takes place directly after variable entry. This step is only started up when the same variable is not input ready and could not be filled at I_STEP=1.
    I_STEP = 3 In this call, you can check the values of the variables. Triggering an exception (RAISE) causes the variable screen to appear once more. Afterwards, I_STEP=2 is also called again.
    I_STEP = 0
    The enhancement is not called from the variable screen. The call can come from the authorization check or from the Monitor. This is where you want to put the mod for populating the authorization object.
    This is basic info from help.sap.com.

  • What is diff b/w user & customer exit

    Hi
    Good afternoon everybody,
    Plz differentiate user exit and customer exit.
    What is the way to findout user exits and how to modify it.
    Thanks in advance
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat,
    Check the following description
    Customer exits: The R/3 enhancement concept allows you to add your own functionality to SAP’s standard business applications without having to modify the original applications. SAP creates customer exits for specific programs, screens, and menus within standard R/3 applications. These exits do not contain any functionality. Instead, the customer exits act as hooks. You can hang your own add-on functionality onto these hooks.
    If you want to enhance the functionality of your SAP System, you should take advantage of the exits available in standard R/3 applications. There are two main reasons why you should use exits rather than modifying SAP software yourself. Add-ons attached to exits have the advantage that:
    They do not affect standard SAP source code
    When you add new functionality to your SAP System using SAP’s exits, you do not alter the source code of standard SAP programs in any way. The code and screens you create are encapsulated as separate objects. These customer objects are linked to standard applications, but exist separately from SAP’s standard software package.
    They do not affect software updates
    When you add new functionality to your SAP System using SAP’s exits, your objects (called customer objects) must adhere to strict naming conventions. When it comes time to upgrade a to a new software release, customer objects’ names ensure that they will not be affected by any changes or new additions to the standard software package.
    In contrast to customer exits, user exits allow developers to access and modify program components and data objects in the standard SAP System.
    User exits: Programs with user exits contain subroutine calls at certain points in their syntax that are identified by the prefix USEREXIT. The actual user exits are located in an include that has been assigned to a module pool. This is where customers can include any changes (enhancements) that they want to make to the system. These includes are always processed during program flow.
    I hope this helps.

  • UserExit or Customer Exit for F110 - '*' on Vendor Line Item Payment Run

    Dear all,
    Background
    Currently in F110, when processing for vendor payments, the item text ( or segment text) is only printed out when item text begins with an asterik ' * '. The asterik is meant to indicate that this document/item is posted from external system. You may do a F1 on the text field for detail explanation.
    In the event, asterik is not present on the item text even if the text is not blank, it will not be printed at all.
    Here are two OSS notes on the asteriks: 312623 and 1292333.
    Include: F110SFS0_SATZ_KOMPLETTIEREN
    *------- Segementtext
      IF REGUP-SGTXT(1) NE '*'.
        REGUP-SGTXT = SPACE.
      ENDIF.
    Requirement
    User is requesting for item text to be printed at all time, when the text exist, regardless of ' * '.
    Question
    Does anyone know of a user exit / customer exit that i could use to do modification for SGTXT ?
    Would appreciate it, if you could share your suggestions / experiences - on this matter, even if it doesn't need to be resolved through user exits.  Thanks in advance

  • How to Verify the Variable Input in Customer EXIT

    Hi,
          I have a requirement to find out "Estimated Hours Total Calculation" with User input date range. I know little bit knowledge about Customer Exits please some one give me how to write code in CMOD. I have requirement how to get the Extimated Hours Total Calculation is follows ....
            Actual hours are the Hour Meter Reading used by the truck, it's calculated based on the "from and to" date parameters.
    Collect the initial hours and adjusted hours from EM.
    Get the PMN and Service Order data close to or within the Date Range.
    1) If the Fleet Management Date (Start-up Date on EM) started before the input date Date Range (From-Date), calculate the average usage (in hours) based on the initial hours and the first PMN (or SO) falls within the Date Range to estimate the hour usage at start of Date Range.
    2) If the Fleet Management Date started after the From-Date, use the Hour Meter (EM) as the Estimated Hours Begin.
    3)If the last PMN (or SO) fell short of the Date Range (To-Date), obtain the Estimated Hours End by applying the average usage to fill the time-gap.
    4)If the last PMN (or SO) fell after the Date Range (To-Date), get the Estimated Hours End by getting the next to last PMN performed inside the window parameter,
         calculate the average usage between the two PMN's (or SO's) then apply the weighted average to fill the time-gap.
    Adjusted Hours, if not zero or null, needs to be added to the Ending Hours to achieve the real number.
    For Example
    User Input Date Range:  Jan. 1, 2006 - Dec. 31, 2006
    Initial Hour (Equipment Master):  10
    Adjusted Hours (Equipment Master): 0
    Fleet Management Date (Equipment Master):  Dec. 1, 2005
    1st PM Notification (Feb. 1, 2006):  410
    Last PM Notification (Feb. 1, 2007):  2810
    Second to last PMN (Dec. 1, 2006):  2410
         Equipment was put into service (12/1/05) before the Date Range, needs to find the Estimated Hours Begin.
         The first PM was performed (2/1/06) exactly two months from in-service date (12/1/05).
         Average monthly usuage from first PMN = (410 - 10) / 2 = 200
         Estimated Hours Begin = 200 + 10 = 210 (estimated Hour Meter Reading on Jan. 1, 2006)
         Average monthly usuage from the last 2 PMN = (2810 - 2410) / 2 months = 200
         Estimated Hours End = 2410 + 200 + 0 (adjusted hours) = 2610 (estimated Hour Meter Reading on Dec. 31, 2006)
         Estimated Hours Total = 2610 - 210 = 2400
               Please give me your valuable answers. Please let me know if you need any further information.
    Thanks
    Dave Sam.

    hi,
    well, your requirement seems clear but complex and needs more clarification:
    - what kind of infoprovider do you use
    - what is posted in your provider, I mean which characteristics and and key figures (name and descriptions)
    - what is the user input
    depending on that, the implementation may vary
    Please clarifiy
    Olivier.

  • Error in Customer Exit

    Hi Guys,
    I hope someone would be able to quickly point me in the right direction. I have the following error message:

    ZMOVETYP1 is of Variable Type=Characteristic, Processing= Customer exit, Variable represents=Multiple single values, variable is Optional, and NOT Input ready. Basically I want to use this variable in a FILTER on movement types in order to EXCLUDE certain movement types based on calendar VALIDTO date and company code.
    TRICKY part: how to send/load into l_s_range-low more than one value. Basically I want to exclude a PAIR of movement types each time. Either 301&302 , either 351&352.

  • Difference b/w Customer exits and User Exits

    Hi,
    Can anybody explain diff b/w user exits and customer exits .
    How to find out and Impement the coding ..
    Thanks Advance
    Rohan.A

    Hi Rohan,
    Check this matter , this may be helpful to you.
    <b>CUSTOMER EXITS</b>
    The enhancement concept allows you to add your own functionality to SAP’s standard business applications without having to modify the original applications. SAP creates customer exits for specific programs, screens, and menus within standard applications. These exits do not contain any functionality. Instead, the customer exits act as hooks. You can hang your own add-on functionality onto these hooks.
    If you want to enhance the functionality of your SAP System, you should take advantage of the exits available in standard applications. There are two main reasons why you should use exits rather than modifying SAP software yourself. Add-ons attached to exits have the advantage that:
    •        They do not affect standard SAP source code
    When you add new functionality to your SAP System using SAP’s exits, you do not alter the source code of standard SAP programs in any way. The code and screens you create are encapsulated as separate objects. These customer objects are linked to standard applications, but exist separately from SAP’s standard software package.
    •        They do not affect software updates
    When you add new functionality to your SAP System using SAP’s exits, your objects (called customer objects) must adhere to strict naming conventions. When it comes time to upgrade a to a new software release, customer objects’ names ensure that they will not be affected by any changes or new additions to the standard software package.
    Customer exits are not available for all programs and screens found in the SAP System. You can only use customer exits if they already exist in the SAP System.
    <b>User exits :</b>
    1. Introduction
    2. How to find user exits
    3. Using Project management of SAP Enhancements
    1. Introduction:
    User exits (Function module exits) are exits developed by SAP. The exit is implementerd as a call to a functionmodule. The code for the function module is writeen by the developer. You are not writing the code directly in the function module, but in the include that is implemented in the function module.
    The naming standard of function modules for functionmodule exits is:
    EXIT_<program name><3 digit suffix>
    The call to a functionmodule exit is implemented as:
    CALL CUSTOMER.-FUNCTION <3 digit suffix>
    Example:
    The program for transaction VA01 Create salesorder is SAPMV45A
    If you search for CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION i program
    SAPMV45A you will find ( Among other user exits):
    CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '003'
      exporting
        xvbak   = vbak
        xvbuk   = vbuk
        xkomk   = tkomk
      importing
        lvf_subrc = lvf_subrc
      tables
        xvbfa = xvbfa
        xvbap = xvbap
        xvbup = xvbup.
    The exit calls function module EXIT_SAPMV45A_003
    Hope this is helpful.

  • Valuation price with user exit/BADI/Enhancement Spot (In valuation variant)

    Hi all,
    i am facing problem finding enhancement when creation of sales order of Valuation price with user exit/BADI/Enhancement Spot  (In valuation variant)
    For refferenece:
    When going to t.code VA03, select one item and go to extras in the menu bar and select costing then you find some amounts calculation i.e valuation price automatically.
    So when creation of sales order i am giving material and that material price automatically takes from material master and creating sales order.
    My customer requirement is to get the valuation price of the input material from Z-table during the sales order cost estimate.
    This Z-table contains the material code, plant , grade  of the material.
    Ex:
    Material         Plant   Grade Price
    A                1000    XYZ     25000
    A                1000    PQR     35000
    A                1000    BCD     45000
    Suppose it depends on sales document type and which grade price i have to take.
    So first of all i am unable to find enhancement where to change this code to get change the valuation price.
    Does anybody have any idea , is there any user exit/BADI/enhancement for this.
    So please help me in this issue.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Creation of Customer Exits in release 6.00 is having some problems

    I am facing problems while creating Customer Exits in release 6.0. Since due to the introdution of enhancement spots I am not clear as what is significance of enhancement spots for the BADI. How will it affect it?
    Also, I am finding differences while creating the BADI  in 6.00 release and that of lower releases. In 6.0 release it is not creating the default implementation which the system creates itself for lower releases when the BADI is activated. I want to know if this functionality is removed in the higher release or due to some other reason?
    Kindly let me know about these nuances as it is creating much problem in 6.0 release.

    I'm just wondering if release 6.00 (I mean SAP ERP) is already available non-rampup customers?
