Creation of Customer Exits in release 6.00 is having some problems

I am facing problems while creating Customer Exits in release 6.0. Since due to the introdution of enhancement spots I am not clear as what is significance of enhancement spots for the BADI. How will it affect it?
Also, I am finding differences while creating the BADI in 6.00 release and that of lower releases. In 6.0 release it is not creating the default implementation which the system creates itself for lower releases when the BADI is activated. I want to know if this functionality is removed in the higher release or due to some other reason?
Kindly let me know about these nuances as it is creating much problem in 6.0 release.

I'm just wondering if release 6.00 (I mean SAP ERP) is already available non-rampup customers?

My screen goes black and exits certain apps. Anyone else having this problem.

When using some of my apps that require a screen shot, the screen will go black and then the app is exited automatically. How can I fix this?

This has happened from time to time - but was not Verizon Blocking the website, but the other way around, the website usually will have an out of date bogon filter. Verizon constantly is giving out new ip addresses to customers, sometimes with brand new IP Blocks as they get more and more customers. So sometimes the filters in websites, are out of date and don't include the newest ip blocks.
Usually you can engage the website owner, ask them to update their bogon filter list with your subnet, but if that is not easy, then you can turn off your router at night when you go to bed, the 4 hour lease on your ip address will break, 2 to four more hours pass, and your ip will go to a different customer, or cycled back into the cloud, and then when you wake up and turn it back on you will have a new ip, that is likely not blocked.
So give that a try. OR if you are in a rush and need it asap, then release your DHCP ip leave your modem off for at least 10-30 minutes, so your IP can get cycled back into the cloud and you can get a new one. if you do it too fast, then you will likely get the same ip and that defeats the purpose.

Customer Exit with offset as input to other Customer Exit variable?

I have a query which uses a Customer Exit variable "A" with an offset. My problem is then that I would like to use the outcome of "A"+offset as input for another Customer Exit variable "B" in the same query.
Is this possible somehow?
Summing up by example:
Lets say that A return 001 and the offset is 3, then we got the value 4.
Can I somehow get this value (4) and use it in another Customer Exit variable in the same query?

I have 12 rows in a query. One for each month.
Each row is restricted on cust exit A and cust exit B.
A has an offset - the offset is the number of the month, which means 1 for January, 2 for february and so on. Cust exit A returns 001. So the value for Januar is 002, February is 003 and so on.
In cust exit B I need to get the result of cust exit A+offset. 002 for January, 003 for February and so on.
So, how do I get the A+offset for each row?

SU01 role add versus role change inside customer exit Z_USERS_TRANSFER

We're using customer exit Z_USERS_TRANSFER (reference note 367660) to do some custom code after a SU01 save. The "changed" roles are transferred through an internal table and I'm also querying the table AGR_USERS to get the userid's "current" roles into an internal table. I also know the SU01 mode (create, change or delete).
The problem is being able to differentiate between an added role or a changed role while in SU01 change mode. For example, if I add role ABC the changed_role_itab has role ABC and the current_role_itab has role ABC. If I then change role ABC to have a valid from date of 5/19/2007, both of the internal tables will have role ABC with a valid from date of 5/19/2007.
I thought about looking at change documents but that may be too complicated. Any suggestions?

I have a workaround for you. In the user exit do as following...
Delcare a internal table withe structure AGR_DEFINE
example : data: t_agr_define type agr_define occurs 0 with header line.
now read the role information from the database table ( This would have old values since you have not changed yet inSU01).
select * from agr_fine into t_agr_define where agr_name = <rolename.
Now you will have old value to be compared with another internal table current_role_itab.

Average monday - Actual Orders
Average Tuesday --Actual Orders
Average wednesday - Actual Orders

Based on the user entry , The query has to calculate Actual orders by different days..
I think I have to write customer exit variable. or is there any other/better solution..

Then Go to Se38 and ZXRSRU01 program in change mode and there you write the necessary coding how your customer exit variable should process.

The standard applications do not offer some of the functionality you need. The R/3 enchancement concept allows you to add your own functionality to SAP's standard business applications.
Different types of enhancements
Enhancements using customer exits
Customers' potential requirements which are not included in the standard software are incorporated in the standard as empty modification 'shells'. Customers can then fill these with their own coding. Enhancements can relate to programs, menus and screens. Upward compatibility is assured. In other words, SAP guarantees that the jump from the standard software to the exit and the interface which call the exit will remain valid in future releases.
Enhancements to ABAP/4 Dictionary elements
These are ABAP/4 Dictionary enhancements (creation of table appends), text enhancements (customer-specific key words and documentation for data elements) and field exits (creation of additional coding for data elements).

Error creating Customer Exit variable, please help

This is the scenario, I need to obtain the convertion rate from the table TCURR in order to convert several currencies to USD, so I created a Customer Exit variable that gets the Period and based on that obtains the conversion rate for the last day of the given month from TCURR, the problem is when I created the Formula Variable to get the value from the Customer exit variable I got the following error:
'ZVARREGEXIT' ALREADY EXISTS; SELECT A DIFFERENT NAME.
But in not using that name anywhere on my variables creation, Im doing something wrong? How can I check wheres is that variable being used.
Ideas, comments are always welcome and appreciated.

Hi Ed,
Open Admin Workbench (RSA1) and choose Transport Connection --> Object Types --> Query Elements --> Variable --> Select Objects. Find the variable of interest and transfer it back to the main screen, then right-click and choose 'Display Description'. That will show you a "where used" list of queries, workbooks, etc.
Next, you can use the previous technique to open one of the queries, find the variable in the query, and determine which InfoObject it is associated with.

User exits (Function module exits) are exits developed by SAP. The exit is implementerd as a call to a functionmodule. The code for the function module is writeen by the developer. You are not writing the code directly in the function module, but in the include that is implemented in the function module.
The naming standard of function modules for functionmodule exits is:
EXIT_<program name><3 digit suffix>
The call to a functionmodule exit is implemented as:

Please use the user exit SAPLV01Z as I mentioned in your other thread, please go to SMOD to read its documentstion.
In SMOD, select the 'Documentation' and click 'Display', this will show the overview documentation.
Select the 'Componnet', then ciick the 'Display'. select each component and click 'Documentation Ctrl+F4) this will show the detailed documentation of them.

Number of working days in customer exit?

Hi, this is actually an extension to the following thread.
How to calculate number of working days
I have very similar requirement. Determine the number of working days (excluding weekends and holidays) from 2 given dates. But the difference here is that, one of the date in the calculation is the current date.
1: Creation Date - this is present as infoobject in the ODS.
2: Current Date - this is 'today''s date.
And, No. of Working days(Zworkdays) = Current Date - Creation Date.
So, as mentioned in the thread 305257 speaks about including the logic in the update rules, I can use system variable sy-datum to get the current date in update routine. But if the load is not scheduled for every day (say,once in 2 days), then when i report this infoobject Zworkdays on Day2, then it will hold Day1 calc rite?
PLease correct me if I am wrong.
Could you please help me with other approachs I can follow. One I can think is Customer Exit in Bex for the same.... but I am not sure how to do the same (i am new to Bex and Customer exit). Could any one of you please guide me how to achieve the same. I Have 0CalDate in the ODS also.
Any other ideas/inputs is greatly appreciated.

I created a program for mass creation of customer plans. But after the creation of a plan, the status should be set to released, so that the user can go about creating the trade promotions for the customer plan. Can anybody tell me how to set the status of a customer plan to RELEASED.

I am not talking about doing it in the CRM_UI transaction..I created a program..which would create the customer plans based on the planning account data provided. I was succesfull in creating the plans, but I am not knowing how to release it, if only anybody can tell me about a Function module or method, which can help me do this, that would be great

The function 'Z_VARIABLE_BY_AUTH' was tested separately and fills in E_T_RANGE as expected.
I also changed the variable names each time to all the other existing variables while debugging.
If I use a variable of type customer-exit and process it with i_step =1 the value selection and query result is OK.
But this scenario works without roles and authorization values triggered by a variable $<VARIABLE> and is not the intended and documented way proposed by SAP. The documentation says to create a variable of type authorizations and to process it in I_Step = 3. But in this step I_VNAM is empty and so there is no processing ot the function module.
Has anyone a solution? I could not find the issue during several debugging sessions. One strange thing is the protocol of rssm: the authorization buffer is not reflecting the enhanced role but only the value $C-B2 for object ZCKS_COB.
