After not being able to use a Formac analog to digital video converter I thought that installing in parallel Leopard only for that converter would finish th problems with Snow Leopard.
Wishful thinking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even worse happens now to me! An external Iomega USB drive appears under the disk utility with "NO OWNER" mention. When trying to open this hard drive (I see its icon in the desktop) a message saying that this "Alias cannot be opened since the original cannot be found" comes. It says I should either delete this "Alias" or apply it to the proper object. However when trying to apply it to the Iomega Drive this operation is impossible. The hard drive in the list of files appears pale pictured and cannot be clicked. I do not understand what Snow Leopard does but it makes a lot of a mess with hardware working perfectly previously under Leopard.
I do hope Apple brings soon a service pack!!!

After a little more research I found the solution to this issue. For some strange reason, the "Alias" bit on the drive got turned on. This is not visible under normal circumstances. I downloaded a copy of Path Finder which gives more detail than the standard OS X Finder. When I did a Get Info on the drive it showed the Alias Bit option. I unchecked the box and problem resolved.

If so, the only change you need to make on the first one is to use "onkeyup" instead of "onchange" in the item's "HTML Form Element Attributes" setting.
Note, however, that the user must move away from the item at some point (for example, to click a button), so the onchange will be triggered anyway.

You can buy ringtones from the ringtones section (at the bottom of the screen when you open itunes) of the itunes app on your iphone.
There may be apps that will do this - not sure.

Actually, you don't HAVE to sign a two year contract with AT&T, you can use the GO Phone option and do a month-to-month payment.
The drawback to that is that for your $50/month you get less than half as many minutes and no pre-paid SMS. You do, however, get unlimited internet turning your iPhone into a miniature laptop that you pay way too much to use each month... grin
I'm on the GO Phone option until my stupid T-Mobile contract expires later this year...

How do I format an 8 gig Lexar USB drive so it is visible by both MAC and PC?

I edit a weekly 60 min TV show and need to save the show file to the USB.
The show file is over 4 gigs.
after placing the show file on the USB I take it to the TV station where they are trying to open the USB and transfer the show file into a playback syatem which is on a PC platform. The PC is not recognizing the USB drive.

Is the "Erase USB Drive" option supposed to erase stock WebOS wallpapers and ringtones also?

I was just wondering if the Palm Pre "Erase USB Drive" option is supposed to erase the stock wallpapers and ringtones also? I recently tried this, thankfully after backing everything up from the Pre's USB drive, and it did erase every media file including the stock ringtones folder and wallpapers folder. Also, I'm guessing memos aren't text files since the memos still show after performing the erase? I tried searching for any posts stating information on what this option really does, but there were none.

Yes, the Erase USB Drive option does exactly that, it erases everything saved on the USB portion of the device, including wallpapers and ringtones, much like formating a memory stick or thumb drive.
Memos are considered PIM data like contacts, calendar, and tasks and are saved to the Palm Profile. They are not deleted through Erase USB Drive. If you were to do an Erase Apps & Data or a Full Erase, when you sign back into your profile, they will re-download to your device. Text messages will not re-download as they are not saved to the Palm Profile.

Attach the drive to the PC and format it as FAT. Or use Disk Utility on the Mac and format it as "MS-DOS" which is in fact FAT.

Yes. As long as all your songs you lost have been Matched or Uploaded to iTunes Match you can download your entire library from the cloud.

Dear All,
I have a requirement to create an outbound delivery without reference (the easy bit) but also without movement for normal "FERT" stock items.
The reason for the requirement is we have a production planning plant set up and the receiving plant is s short distance from the manufacturing plant. The transport between locations involves public roads and the products being shipped can contain hazardous materials.
The thought is to create a delivery without reference assign the materials and pack within the delivery, the problem is that as the movement has already taken place this delivery line item must not be relevant for movement.
I have tried assigning text and non stock item categories without success so I am hoping someone out there can give me some pointers on possible solutions

In case I have understod u correctly then u need to create a OBD with material with stock but no goods movement shoudl happen
can u create a new item category which is not relevant to picking and no sloc is requried and when u create the delivery then system will mark it as complete even w/o PGI.

Itunes deleting apps without request and without asking confirmation

as soon I install itunes, I have a huge slow down of all XP. Installation takes a long time, it freezes XP very often. Once it s installed, it takes a long time to start (often more than 1 minute), often freezes XP. quicktime steals the default access for mp4 files, each time I try to use explorer on a folder with MP4 files, xp freezes for minutes, it never shows previews, takes a long time to start when it effectivly starts, reads a lot less than open readers like vlc or mpc. when I try to set another reader as default reader for MP4, quicktime keeps the hand on it, cannot get rid of freezes withoout deleting quicktime, witch make itunes unavailable
LAST BONUS: after having reinstalled itunes to sync my contacts, it tried to sync the apps without beung asked (maybe because i dowloaded 2 apps on my computer) and STARTED TO DELETE ALL OTHER APPS WITHOUT ASKING CONFIRMATION DELETTING ALL MY DATAS

No, they actually thought that people would use autosync and have one master library. They didn't think that people had 3 or 4 computers that they would spread their music/videos over. Why not combine all your files on one computer?
As far as music/videos from your Aunt's computer, those aren't yours and the other reason for Apple doing what you want is they don't want people stealing music. Please don't steal music.
One more thing, on your master computer that the iPod is linked to, set it to manually manage your music and you can use it between different computers. You will have to eject it manually every time you are through syncing/charging and want to remove it.

Have a requirement where when a user log into the application, the APP_USER must be checked against the list of users maintained in a database table, if APP_USER name exist in the table, the user must be redirected to the home page else user must be redirected to the Registration page.
Tried the branching concept:
Branch Point: On Load: Before Header
Condition: NOT Exists (SQL Query returns no rows)
Expression1 : select * from users_tab where name = v('APP_USER')
When this condition is given, though the user name does not exist in the users_tab, the page is redirected to page 1 instead of the Registration page.
Where is the problem here?
How can it be resolved?
Is there an alternative way to implement this?

For creating Export sales scenario, create Export sales org ZEXP, create distribution channel might be EX, do the required plant etc assignment to Sales org-distribution channel.Create seperate sales order , delivery and billing type and maintain required copy control between them. Create export customer, custommer pricing procedure02 in customer master sales area data-sales, document pricing procedure "N" in VOV8 & vofa.
If u are following taxinn, then you may copy jinexp for pricing prosedure. Pricing procedure must contain condition types for frieght and insurance. Then assign the procedure to sales area.
Please maintain account determination in vkoa with sales org customer account grp, material account grp, account key. Assign separate GLs according to the requirement
