Use an own picture as button

Hi,
I work on 2 APEX Systems Version 3.2
10g with Apache and 11g and embedded PL/SQL
In my application I use an own image (los.gif) as button. Now I loaded it in Shared Components - Images. But it doesn't. With Apache I hve this enty in Link text:

I works very fine.
In 11g I tried it with

It didn't work. Wher made I a mistake?

Use &APP_IMAGES., not #APP..., because # notation is for data columns, as the substitution por /i/ the standard directory where images is loaded.

Okay. i did go to the menu, and transitions in inspector tab.
for the start picture i picked the Marque (this is a template), then i want to transition into and through a picture i made in Photoshop and then the end image will be the submenu which in this case is the theater interior.
I'd also like to use that same picture to transition from the submenu choices to the different tracks (in this case 4 different tracks).
if i use a picture, and i put that picture into a file i create in Library/application support/DVDSP/cityscape folder (which is what i named the picture AND the folder), and that now comes up in the list of transitions in the inspector in DVDSP after i highlight the menu like you suggested, and i choose the picture for the transition, it seems that i cannot fade from first image to picture and fade back to last image which would be the submenu image.

I've set up Paypal and have managed to get Paypal's own button working. However, I'd like to use my own buttons but don't understand how to do this based on the info you've kindly given. It's the uploading my button to my hosting provider that I dont understand. What does this mean? how do I do this? My website is with Adobe Business Catalyst and my domains are through 123-reg.
How do I 'host' a button? Are there any video tutorials on this anywhere? I need a step by step guide on this part. I need to get this up and running this week, so any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, PayPal's buttons are quite ugly and fortunately are easy to change. All you have to do is make your own buttons (which it sounds like you have), then upload them to the images folder on your website. This requires being able to access your site through FTP, so if you don't know how to do that look it up, super easy, lots of free FTP programs out there (FTP is just a program that opens your website in a window that looks like your computer's hard drive, with your folders arranged the way you're used to).
Once you've logged into your site through FTP (using the same username and password you'd use to upload directly through Muse), just find and double click the images folder and put your buttons in there. You have to upload your buttons to your site before this next step.
Then, grab the original PayPal code you got for your buttons, copy it to a text file somewhere (whatever text editor you have on your computer), and look for the line that says
<input type="image" src="
and replace the entire text that's inside the parentheses in the src=" part with the text of where your new button images are (your button images will be in your images folder, so the text you'd replace would be whatever your website was named, like http://www.randomsite.com/images/button.png, obviously changing my example to your real website name and changing my button.png file to the real file name of your button).
Once you've done that, copy the entire PayPal code again, all of it, not just the one line you changed, and paste that into Muse, and your new button will automatically show up. No need to place the button image as a graphic in Muse, just paste the new PayPal code and the buton automatically shows up, linking to your PayPal account.

I used to be able to use the reduce picture ( middle button ) using Firefox and dragging the image to another screen. How do I restore this as the reduce button will not work ?

The top right corner of the screen allows you to reduce the size of your entire image on Firefox . I used to be able to do this so I could drag the image to another screen . Suddenly I cannot do so anymore from my laptop. What can I do ?

Is there a way to use my own PNG and/or ICO files within the TouchSmart software?

I have an IQ526 running Windows 7 x64.
Everything runs great... except the mechanical Volume Up/Down/Mute on the unit's right-hand side has stopped working... but that's not my question.
Actual Question:
Is there a way to add some of my own PNG or ICO files to use within TouchSmart.
Some programs have the ugliest default icons so I'd like to make things look a little nicer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No you can not use your own pictures in Windows 7 for icons. Only as desktop background. Microsoft took a way that feature from us. If you upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate and download XP mode the windows xp theams will work only if they are compatible to graphic card. In HP Touchsmart 3 software click on personalized and then on create a tile. Then click windows program then click on advance. Few more choices icons will display. Not knowing the icons format doesn't help us. Not only that but there isn't a way to add them into icon window. Thanks to microsoft for taken our creative ways of setting up our own destop like XP Version had. frrw

Can you save your own theme and button set up, so I can use this same format for similar content. I want to keep the button content and the theme the same without having to create it everytime? I am trying to streamline the process for multiple dvd's with the same menu and buttons but different content. Does that make sense?

I am only new to this caper too, but I am pretty sure you can save a theme as a favourite by pressing the "save theme as favourite" button under file. If you have edited an existing theme but don't want to lose it, make sure you untick the replace existing button.

Basic troubleshooting steps in the following order.
1. Reset. Press and hold both Power and Home Buttons together till Apple Logo appears.
2. Restore to a backup.
3. Backup, Restore in iTunes and setup as new.

Awesome question. Unfortunately there isn't a way to reassign the buttons. There may be a 3rd party application for the camera that would have a different option.

Let me explain a little more. I had downloaded a lot of free books in the past as a trial when iBooks was first released and since then I have decided I no longer want them, because of this I hid them from the purchased section of the iBooks store. The 5 books left are ones I decided to keep as seen in the following picture.
This is how it appears in iBooks on my mac. There are 4 books downloaded and 1 book that I have decided not to download at this time. I would still like to keep this book available in the cloud incase I want to download it again in the future. You’ll notice that hide iCloud books is not selected, if I wanted to hide the book that I have chosen to keep in the cloud, but have not downloaded yet I could.
This is exactly how I think this feature should work. If you have hidden a book from your purchases it should not show up in the mac Ibooks app. (I am aware you can never actually delete a purchase, just hide them and that hidden purchases can be restored to your account from within the account management section of the iBooks store).
The iOS app is working differently for me. Here is a picture of the purchased tab on the iBooks store in iOS Ibooks. Again notice that pictures of Lilly is still yet to be downloaded. This is how I expected it to look.

Thank you for responding. So I essentially will never be able to use that button in lightroom 5? do I need to get LR 6? Will there ever be an update for LR 5 that will enable me to use it?
Does DNG Converter work within LR or do I have to upload pictures to my computer and then make a second copy in DNG format. and then go into LR and use them?

Can I Use The iPhoto4 "Picture Browser" Without Copying The Photos?

I use Photoshop Elements 2 for serious editing.
However, I find the Browser rather pathetic (small and slow) compared with iPhoto4's.
iPhoto's picture viewer is really excellent, enabling me to view albums at any size virtually instantly.
Unfortunately, to view my pictures in iPhoto I have to Import (copy) them, and this wastes HD space etc.
Is there any way of viewing them without needing to make further copies? (Photoshop of course has this facility but one is limited to fairly small thumbnails and a maximum of around 500 or so images in one "album" before it refuses to display any more. Scrolling etc. is also very slow).

There is no way to get around iPhoto copying the photos into it's own database UNLESS you upgrade to iPhoto 6. iPhoto 6 will let you use your own folder structure.
From the iPhoto 6 Help menu:
Using advanced options when importing from a hard disk
By default, iPhoto copies photos imported from your hard disk, leaving the originals in their original location and making duplicates for use in the iPhoto library.
However, if you already have an extensive collection of photos saved on your computer and you prefer to leave your photos in their current file structure, you can choose to have iPhoto point to your original photo files instead of copying them in iPhoto. Either way, you can still make full use of iPhoto.
If there is no color profile embedded in a photo viewed in iPhoto (many digital cameras do not include a color profile with an image), iPhoto temporarily assigns a ColorSync profile that helps display the photo properly within the application. If your photo already has a color profile embedded, iPhoto will use that color profile.
To set advanced options for photos imported from your hard disk:
Choose iPhoto > Preferences
Click Advanced.
Select or deselect "Copy files to iPhoto Library folder when adding to library."
Deselecting this option means that iPhoto will not duplicate photos when importing them into the application, but will leave them in their original files on your computer. When you edit these images in iPhoto, however, the edited versions will be saved in the iPhoto library, not your original files. Your original files remain untouched.
If you selected "Copy files," select or deselect "Add ColorSync profile."
The profile assigned will usually be "cameraRGB," an Apple-specific version of the commonly used sRGB, which allows image colors to map more closely to Apple monitors. If your image file settings specify the use of Adobe RGB, iPhoto assigns that profile. If another color profile is already embedded, iPhoto uses the profile provided.
In the Advanced pane, you can also make changes to your RAW-file options, by choosing to save your edited RAW photos in iPhoto as TIFF files or using RAW files with an external editor, such as Adobe Photoshop.

No EVENT_COMMIT when clicking Picture Command button label

If I use a PICTURE COMMAND BUTTON and Left Mouse click on the text label for the button, the Button does not actuate and there is no EVENT_COMMIT, only EVENT_LEFT_CLICK. If you Left Mouse Click on any other part of the button then everything works as expected. Is this behavior expected? (LW/CVI 7 & 7.1)

Yes, it could. You'd need to distinguish between clicks on the label part versus clicks on the button part. You can do that by comparing the mouse coordinates of the click with the label area.
Once you do that, you can use the FakeKeystroke function to simulate a user pressing on the button with either the enter key or the spacebar key. But before you do that, you'll have to set the keyboard focus on the button (clicking on the label will eventually set the focus on the button, but only after the LEFT_CLICK event is sent to the callback).
The following code should do the trick:

Hands free kit with music control + use my own headphones?!

Hello all, hope you guys are doing well! This is my first post here
I am looking for a product and I have searched high and low to no avail. I have an iphone 3GS with iOS4. I use my own earphones but it annoys me how I can't change tracks whilst playing music on the move (eg running). I am looking for an adaptor that will allow me to use my own earphones but also that has a microphone and a button to allow me to pause/play and change tracks as well as answering a phonecall or sending it to voicemail.
I understand that Apple does not make a product like this (if they do, please let me know!) and I have stumbled across the "Griffin SmartTalk" but I have read mixed reviews about it on Amazon.
I would really appreciate it if someone could suggest a solution! Thanks very much in advance!

What you are describing is not possible. How do you get your 30 second clip onto the iPhone? If you place it in a playlist it gets transferred as part of your iPod library and is not accessible from the ringtone selection screen.
You can pair the iPhone with the Macbook Pro so they see each other but the iPhone reports tot he Macbook that it has no services available. Yet another great feature crippled by Apple.
As for returning the phone, I think it's important that Apple be made aware that customers wanting these features are angry about it and want resolution. The "if you don't like it, return it and buy something else" notion will never resolve the problem, and just result in customers losing the other features that make the iPhone such a great device. It's like voting for someone you agree with on most issues, and writing to their offices to encourage them to re-think their position on the ones you disagree with. Disabling these features is about one thing - money. Apple has a right to seek all the money they can get. What really stands out about these recent practices is that they are contrary to Apple's past positions on customer creativity and freedom to use Apple products to do highly creative things, without a required additional fee.
iTunes, iPhoto, imovie and iDVD are all included with OSX. Why? Because they make the experience complete and require no additional costs to achieve incredible results that competitors can't offer in the out-of-box experience. On the iPhone, Nokia's kicking Apple's tail when it comes to Blurtooth file transfers, movie recording, and applying MP3s as ringtones. As a 20+ year Mac customer, I'm not used to being forced to give up useful features just to have new, different ones.

I can't save pic. from net. "set your download location place as "Pictures"" That button doesn't work, or button for "browse" to send a file.

I am using Firefox for several years and never had any problem. Since i update it to the new Firefox, problems start:
If i am trying to save a picture from ALL internet, it is not working. I am doing in the same way, like always: view image/save image as.... When i click it is not working, and all my screen doing like i make a refresh. I saw something strange files in temp after i am trying to save a picture, files with name like "etilqs" and some other letters after, the files are hidden. When i close firefox, files disappear.
If i am trying to send an e-mail with some files, button for search files in my pc, is not working, and when i click him, same thing with my screen. It is not about what kind of mail i am using, same problem if i want to attache a file on a site, even if i try to change files location in browser setup, like : options/general/save files to/... and i hit "browse..." button, same problem like i want to attache a file. Even here, if i want to use "ADD IMAGES" option, under is browse button, it is not working, same problem with my screen. Like is angry or something.
