Use of excel2collection not working

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to upload an XLS format file with APEX; I'm using Apex listener and following the steps that I saw in blogs like Spendolini's (http://spendolini.blogspot.com.es/2010/02/uploading-xls-files-with-apex-listener.html) and in this forum (https://kr.forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2342792). However, it seems that I'm not getting any information in the collection, since I get a "No data found" message after uploading the excel.
I try to check the collection info in 3 ways: from the debug mode, from the SQL Commands (select * from apex_collections) and using a report in the same page where the File Browser is located. In these 3 ways, the result is the same: No data found.
I checked that the request for the "Upload" button is "xls2collection", and the lines added in the apex_config.xml are the following:
<entry key="apex.excel2collection">true</entry>
<entry key="apex.excel2collection.onecollection">false</entry>Does it matter where these lines are added?
I'm using APEX 4.1.1. I would appreciate any help on this.

I'm using version 2003 of xls.
Yes, I specified that the target is WWV_FLOW_FILES. However, I queried the view and the data was not inserted into it. I'm going to run some tests meanwhile (query the table wwv_flow_file_objects$).
Do I have to configure something else with the file browse besides to set the target to WWV_FLOW_FILES?

Windows Server 2012 - Printing using UNC path not working

Hi,
I have a problem printing using the printer's UNC path ("\\Server_Name\Printer_Hostname") to work with a web
app hosted on IIS 8. With a windows forms application the UNC path is working fine and the app prints.
With
the web app I receive an error "The data area passed to a system call is tool small".
Also,
in the event viewer under Applications and Services Logs -> Microsoft -> PrintService -> Operational, I receive the error "The print spooler failed to reopen an existing printer connection because it could not read the configuration information
from the registry key S-1-5-82-1980832875-2702362896-1795126167-3622310632-1152289074\Printers\Connections. The print spooler could not open the registry key. This can occur if the registry key is corrupt or missing, or if the registry recently became unavailable."

About which printing API to use in ASP.NET/IIS, there is no clear answer so far. Thus, your only resource is Microsoft support, who can perform further analysis (with their dedicate utilities and of course Windows source code) and might come across a solution
to help you out. This is not a trivial scenario.

Where used list is not working for IMG nodes/Document in solar01

In template project , we are using same IMG objects in different business processes and subsequent configuration document is attached to each IMG node in configuration tab. ( like same IMG node - define order types used in different business process configuration tab )
when i use " where used list " from the configuration tab , its not showing the IMG objects used in different business processes in the same project. whereas its showing the IMG nodes used in the different project.
I need to find out the same IMG objects/ document used in the same project using the " Where used list " button.
Please provide your answers
Note : we have linked one configuration document to same IMG nodes used in different business. " where used list " also not working for documents as well

Hello there,
I just tried some tests and couldn't face any problem with locating other usages for the objects in configuration tab.
You mentioned a configuration document, so have in mind that the document usage will only be considered if it is a link to the same document and not just a copy.
e.g:
Here I created a document in this node:
Then I added it as a link here:
and as a copy here:
When I go back to the original node and use the where-used, it'll only show the original and the link:
This happens because after copying a document, it is considered as a new one instead of another usage of the original one.

Validations using OB28 is not working for GL posting using FB01

Validations using OB28 for posting using FB01 is not working.
My requirement is after entering a line items and click post validations should be triggerd.
i want to block a posting based on document type.
i have maintained as below..
Prerequisite.
( BKPF-TCODE = 'FB50' OR BKPF-TCODE = 'FB01' ) AND (

check.
Used userexit to check sy-ucomm = 'BU' (for posting).
entries are maintained in OB28 for relevant company codes.
it is working for FB50 but not FB01.
same thing i tried to maintain at header level as well as item level. but it is working only for FB50 but for FB01.

Hi Venu,
Go to GGB0 and expand the navigation till you reach the validation name of line item level and choose menu item *Validation -> Simulate.
Here you can enter the inputs, those you are entering while doing FB01 and execute it.
Then in the results, you will have the log for each step of your total validation of line item level.
Check , whether your questioned STEP's pre requisite is met and check is not fullfilled.
Accordingly you can make the changes to the STEP.

Formula variable using Replacement path not working

Dear All,
I am using a query to calculate YTD values in the report. I am using a formula variable to calculate the number of months. Formula is
Month To - Month From+1
When I am giving the range from 001 to 006 for period in th evariable screen,
I am gettung Month To as 6 and Month From as 6 with total no . of months as 1.
I think Month From is not being caculated properly. I created another formul variable using Replacement path, for characteristic Posting period, replace with a Key and dimension ID as number with out any offset.
Still not working.
Any suggestions.

I have seen this document already. It is slightly different from what I am trying to do here than what the post shows. How ever, I did everything right, atleast seems to be and don´t know why I am not getting the From value from the posting period selected. To value variable is coming right.
Any more sugegstions.?

Windows 8.0 use tutorials do not work.

When I go to the tutorials for use of Windows 8.0 the tile shows up and I click on either the triangle in the middle of the tutorial or on the triangle at the beginning of the progress bar the selected tutorial switches back to the opening tiles screen. A few times the tutorial tries to start and freezes or tries to start and goes back to the opening tiles screen. Does the same regardless of which tutorial is chosen.

Excel File read using WebUtil does not work. Gives java.lang.NoSuchMethodEr

We have a form which reads from an Excel File. The form works in development env., but in the live env when we deployed the form it does not work. Form fails @ the 1st call to Client_OLE2 where we set the Excel file to read.
For both the envs. the values are given here:
(1.) Client Forms Version : Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production)
(2.) Application Server Version : 10.1.2.0.2
(3.) AS Linux Version : (Live) RHEL 5.7 Tikanga / (Dev) Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 4)
(4.) Client Sun JRE Version :Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_10)
(5.) Client Web Browser & Version: I.E 8.0.6001 or Mozilla 3.0.15
(6.) WebUtil Version: 1.0.6Both envs. are the same except the Linux version.
Works fine in Dev but does not work in Live. Other Webutil functions like file open dialog box works fine in live, only this Excel read is not working.

I sounds like you might have missed a configuration step on your Linux application server (AS). I recommend you go back through the configuration of your AS and verify each step of the WebUtil Runtime Setup Checklist was completed correctly. Seach the Forms Help system on "Runtime Setup Checklist" for a copy of the checklist.

Reply to all using ItemReply does not work when specifying messageid

Hello everyone,
I am trying to use the ItemReply token to perform a "Reply to All"
action on a mail item with a known message identifier and include the
original message text in the response. According to the documentation,
the call should be:
ItemReply(7;1;"message-id")
Still, when I execute this token, apparently only a normal reply action
is performed because only the original sender is listed as recipient.
(The message text is properly included)
However, when I manually select the message in the GroupWise client
first and then execute the same call without specifying the message id,
all recipients of the original mail are listed in "To:" as expected:
ItemReply(7;1)
Could it be that the "ReplyTo" parameter is ignored or does not work
when a message id is specified as parameter? (Setting "IncludeText" to 0
does not change anything)

Worth bumping this message. I find the exact same behaviour as mentioned 5 years ago. Using both GW8 and GW2012.
According documentation, when MessageId is not specified it defaults to the command ItemReplyOpenItem(). I assume that the reason "Reply To all" works without a MessageID is because of that. Someone needs to give a look to ItemReply().

Flash streamed via RTMP (using Flowplayer) does not work; does in IE 9.

I have the latest Flash plug-in and Firefox 6.0.2. Flash files from YouTube work. However, Flash in Flowplayer -- using RTMP streaming -- does not load.
The following page works with latest version of Flash in IE 9:

However, it simply will not load in Firefox.
I do NOT have any ad blocking plugins, etc.
The Flowplayer page actually allows you to test HTTP vs RTMP vs no streaming and Firefox hangs on RTMP. So, I believe I have found out what the bug is for you, but updating Flash will not remedy the situation. It seems to be a Firefox problem.

AVG 9.0 is installed and the video (Flash in Flowplayer) works with IE 9 and Chrome.
Flash video works in Firefox, but not all Flash files. Flash in Firefox works with YouTube, Adobe's Flash website, and various other places, but not everywhere.
2 URL's are supplied above that contain Flash content that does not work with my Windows 7 (64-bit) Intel Core i7 Toshiba laptop with NVIDIA GeForce graphics card.
On the Flowplayer website -- someone who should know how to properly implement their player with Flash -- Flash does work with Firefox when HTTP and no streaming are used. However, nobody seems to note that this does not work for RTMP streaming.
So, Flash works -- sometimes -- but not all the time. However, the VERY same Flash files DO work on SAME laptop with SAME firewall and no problems with IE 9 and Chrome. Bottom line: RTMP streaming seems to be the issue with Firefox as pointed out on the following website:

Activate Artboard using selection tool - Not Working in Illustrator CS6

When using Multiple artboards, typically you just need to click within an existing artboard to activate it as the selected artboard. For some reason this function is not working for me suddenly. I can still activate an existing arboard in the artboard panel, but I am working with 40 artboards, and it's much more efficient when it automatically selects the artboard you're working on as the active artboard (for aligning, pasting, etc...). Does anyone have any idea how to remedy this?
