Use of "picture" on my vCard
I find that the tiny image in the top left of my vCard (the one with the account icon) somehow has a randam photo from iPhoto. I don't know how it got there. I would now like to edit this "picture" to use a snapshot portrait from Photo Booth. I've followed the instructions and find the built in iSight camera will not take a picture on command; and (ii) if I drag a photo over from Photo Booth it will not "replace" the picture that was already there. The second aspect of this question is this: Can I choose to have the photo used in outgoing emails (even if only to other Mac users) in the same manner as I can have a signature selected? If so, how?

Nachricht geändert durch IdeenautomatFor me anyways, I 'always' create my images to the size I need and then bring them into what ever web design tool I am using wether it is Muse, Dreamweaver, Coda or a number of others. It takes a few minutes longer but I always get the results I need and expect.

you can use Home Sharing in iTunes.
iTunes > File > Home Sharing
Switch it on and
Choose Photos to Share with Apple TV.
Your Apple TV will pickup the folders when you go to the Screen Saver settings
They also "cache" so screen saver works if your computer is off.

If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. Is there any way to create a time machine backup to an external hard drive with content already on it? I have a hard drive that i have used for pictures but when i try to run a backup it says i need to start from a blank drive. Can i get around it?
It would be much better if you had separate drives for the pictures and Time Machine backups.....but, if you want to use the same drive for both purposes, temporarily move the folder with the pictures to another location for safe storage.
Run the Time Machine backup on the hard drive and verify that everything is working correctly. Time Machine will format the disk for you in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as part of the backup process.
Then move the folder with the pictures back to the hard drive with the Time Machine backups.
When you have tested to make sure that everything is working again, then and only then should you delete the folder with pictures from the temporary storage area.
Again....it would be much better to keep Time Machine backups on a drive just for that purpose, and other data on another drive for that purpose. This is clearly one of those times when the fact that you can do something does not mean to imply that you should do it. -
How do I use a picture as a hyperlink logo
I have a picture that I would like to use as a logo for a hyperlink, but I haven't the slightest idea how to do it...please help!

I added a hyperlink to my desktop and now I would like to change the logo of the hyperlink with a custom logo (a gif/jpeg of my choosing).
Same process for changing the icon to custom. command i opens the info pane on your link that you dragged to the desktop -

After creating and signing in under a different user on imac, how can i use iphoto pictures?
If you want to access the same library from different user accounts on your Mac put the library on an external hard drive connected to the iMac and make sure it's formatted OS X Extended (journaled) with ownership set to be ignored.

The pictures are already existing and used by other software, e.g., Peoplesoft. then i want to attach the pictures on report output (SapScriupt/Smartform). In this case, can i use those pictures directly from other places/servers? I mean, can the SAP uses the pictures which not upload to SAP server? if yes, what criteria the pictures are e.g., tiff, jpeg, or size.

PeerasitUse the following FM's to do the Upload of Pictures from the Server to your SAP System
1) SAPSCRIPT_IMPORT_GRAPHIC - this will import graphic as a Text
2) SAPSCRIPT_IMPORT_GRAPHIC_BDS - this will import graphic as a BDS element and can be viewable in SE78.

Please help. I have updated to the IOS 7 and there was a cool feature in the Music app wherein when you view an album artist, i think apple updates the picture of that artist from their gallery. But when I decided to restore to factory defaults, it never came back and only uses the picture from the albums.
I have the same problem. After a full restore my iphone 5 does not display the artist photos, but it does show the correct album covers once i go into that group. Instead i get a grey box with diagonal writing saying the band name but no picture.

Plotting 4D data using 3d picture control
Hi,
I am using 3d picture control in my vi to view the data plotted at different locations.The 3d picture contains axis as I generated it using Create 3D axis vi But I am not able to get the gridlines on the axis to be shown on it with marker spacing(like on a 2d graph).How can I get the grids ?
I am attaching the vi in which only axis is there with data points plotted on it.

Plot 4D Graph_Edited_copy.vi 21 KBBasically, to have the grids you have to 'draw' the grids yourself.... There isn't a lot of help from the 3D picture control at the moment for this task.
However, if you are able to 'drill' into the "3D Graphs", you can have some functionalities that you can use to create the graphs. In attachment you have some VIs that you can look inside and see how you can create your own grid.

Someone using my picture on skype posing as me
Just found out from a friend that there is a skype account of me that someone is using my picture on. My real one is connected to my android phone where I'm wearing a red top next to my drumset. The fake one I was told is a pic of me wearing a black top. My question is there a customer service telephone number to contact skype? I tried online can't find a way to contact. Is it possible too use a picture as a cover picture??, not a video
I know that I can use a video as a cover picture, bur is there any change too use a picture for that ????

DKMight need a little more information here. Are you trying to obtain screen captures? If all you're wanting to do is take stills from your videos then the answer is yes, you can but you'll have to transfer your videos from your iPhone to your computer first (unless you can find an APP on the iTunes store to help you to do it on your iPhone).
There are a few ways to do it. The first is that you can use the button on your keyboard called "Prt Scr" or "Print Screen". This takes a shot of your screen which you can then "paste" into a program like paint, or photoshop or even Word to then save as a jpeg image. When using this option a good trick is to use "Alt" + "Prt Scr" to only capture the current window rather than your entire desktop.
The other way to obtain screenshots is to download and install a program designed to do this for you. A great site to find something free to help you out is www.tucows.com. Try this link: http://www.tucows.com/search.html?search_scope=win&search_terms=screenshot&searc h_type=all
Also, some DVD programs have this function in built in them so it's a good idea to explore what's already installed on your computer.
