Use parameter in page field
Hi - I am adding a parameter to my URL and want to use that parameter value to display in a field in my page. My obfuscated URL is:
http://<domain>/pls/apex/f?p=136:1:162234442:::::PARID:34567
I have a field on the page. I tried all different ways to use the "PARID" paramter as source for the field, but have not been successful. I know this should be simple. Can somebody please help?
thanks
I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but the basic syntax is:
f?p=App:Page:Session:Request:Debug:ClearCache:itemNames:itemValues:PrinterFriendly
Source: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21674/concept_url.htm
So for example if I have an item on my page 6 (P6_LANGUAGE) and I want to have that item populated with 'KO' for Korean, I would use this url:
https://[apexURL]/pls/apex/f?p=13038:6:15884749391153::NO::P6_LANGUAGE:KOWith multiple items its not very intuitive - it's basically item1:item2:item3 and then value1:value2:value3 at the end.
cheers,
john

Related Content Field Mapping using "Page Field" mapping type
In PeopleBooks it refers to a Page Field mapping type whene mapping fields from the component to it's related content.
Is this a misprint in PeopleBooks, did this feature not make it into 8.50.09 or is this option only available under certain circumstances.
I'm trying to pass a non key field from level 0 to the rel content url.
Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this.
GrahamHi Jim
Thanks for the reply.
It appears that you can't select the "Page Field" mapping type unless you have the related content specified by PAGE ratehr than component.
PBOOKS states Page Field: use when you want to map the service parameter to any level 0 page field.
In the component buffer fields in level 0 could be any page. I was hoping to pass ANY level 0 field through to the Rel Content URL for any page in this component.
Kind regards

Defining sort order using parameter fields
Post Author: vandersee
CA Forum: General
I've created a report, the contents of which is sorted depending on a parameter selected (method used is as described in the help topic entitled "Defining sort order using parameter fields". Is it possible to vary the Sort Direction (ascending/descending) using parameters also, so that if I choose to sort by field A it will be ascending, but descending if I choose to sort by field B?Post Author: V361
CA Forum: General
You can create a Parameter {?Sort Order} make it a string, and add items A to Z and Z to A and a formula and sort the group using the formula.
Group Expert, select the group, select options, check use a formula as group sort order
if {?Sort Order} = "A to Z" then crAscendingOrder else crDescendingOrder
And your group will sort based on what is selected in the parameter. -

There are a number of ways to create a fieldcat.
For the purpose of this example i will build the fieldcatalog manualy

appending the rows. This method can be the most time consuming but can
also allow you more control of the final product.
Beware though, you need to ensure that all fields required are
populated. When using some of functionality available via ALV, such as
total. You may need to provide more information than if you were
simply displaying the result
I.e. Field type may be required in-order for

 You are correct. The Viewer object will not automatically look at the URL and try to assign the values. You need to grab these values from the URL and properly assign them to the parameter objects.

How to use a single page for create and update mode.
Hi,
I need to develop a single page to be used for both create and update modes.
I am going to use a variable MODE
and i will set this in the emp summary page.
Based on the button clicked by the user i have to render the JSF page.
For tis if the user selects a perticular and cliks on update thn i will pass the empno to the next.
so there in the next i will appy a ViewCreiteria on my View Obj to fetch only that row so that only that emp will be displayed ion update mode.
This is working fione for me.
So now the issue is
when the user clicks on CreatEmp button.
i need to enable my VO for insert operations.
for this i wrote the code like this in the beforePhase event
FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
ValueBinding valBinding = ctx.getApplication().createValueBinding("#{data}");
BindingContext bContext = (BindingContext) valBinding.getValue(ctx);
DCDataControl dcControl = bContext.findDataControl("DataControl");
Application app = ctx.getApplication();
ApplicationModule am = (ApplicationModule) dcControl.getDataProvider();
System.out.println("After Appmodule initiation");
// get the VO reference and initiate the query
System.out.println("Before Page VO initiation");
PrismDmPageSectionViewImpl vo = (ViewImpl)am.findViewObject("View");
//ViewRowImpl row = (ViewRowImpl) vo.createRow();
/* TO CREATE AN EMPTY ROW*/
Row row=vo.createRow();
System.out.println("New Row is created");
//vo.createKey(row);
vo.insertRow(row);
vo.setCurrentRow(row);
By doing this a new empty page is rendered.
But when i fill up the values and click on ok.. i am getting the error like this..
JBO-27023: Failed to validate all rows in a transaction.
JBO-27027: Missing mandatory attributes for a row with key null of type View3
JBO-27014: Attribute Id in View3 is required
JBO-27014: Attribute PageeId in View3 is required
Please point me out where i am missing.
ThanksHi,
In my opinion you are over complicating things.
This is what I do for using the sme page as both create and update without all this code.
1) Create a browse page containing a an adf table with a select one component bound to your view object.
2) Create an additional edit page containing only an edit form containing fields of your view object that your users must enter in order to add or edit rows.
3) Link the pages in the JSF diagram with an "edit" navigation case from browse to edit page and a "return" navigation case from edit to browse (make sure that redirect option is NOT set on both cases)
4) Remove the submit button from the edit page and add two application module bindings for the commit and rollback operations as command buttons in the form footer facet. Make sure that both buttons has an action of return and that their disabled property is set to false. You will probably change their labels to ok and cancel respectively.
5) Drop a create action for your view object from the data control palette inside your page as a command button and set the action property to edit also.
3) Set the action property of the view button to edit
This should basically work without any code from your part. -- at least it does so for me -- if you like to make it a bit more funcy you may add am action listener inside your buttons and set a requeScope variable for example #{requestScope.editing} to true or false depending on the button clicked. Then add a title to your page with a value like #{requestScope.editing == true ? 'Editing record' : 'Adding a new record'}..
Hope that helps.

In SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), drill-down is an action we can apply to any report item to hide and show other report items. They all are ways that we can organize and display data to help our users understand our report better. In this article,
we are talking about how to use parameter to control the Expand/Collapse drill-down options in SSRS report.
Consider that the report has a dataset (dsSales) with following fields: SalesTerritoryGroup, SalesTerritoryCountry, CalendarYear, SalesAmount.
1. The report has the following group settings:
Parent Group: SalesTerritoryGroup
Child Group: SalesTerritoryCountry
Child Group: CalendarYear
Details: SalesAmount
2. Add three parameters in the report:
GroupExpand:
Available Values: “Specify values”
Label: Yes Value: Yes
Label: No Value: No
Default Values: “Specify values”
Value: Yes
CountryExpand:
Available Values: “Specify values”
Label: Yes Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No",Nothing,"Yes")
Label: No Value: No
Default Values: “Specify values”
Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No","No","Yes")
YearExpand:
Available Values: “Specify values”
Label: Yes
Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No" or Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="No",Nothing,"Yes")
Label: No Value: No
Default Values: “Specify values”
Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No" or Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="No","No","Yes")
3. Right click SalesTerritoryCountry icon in the Row Groups dialog box, select Group Properties.
4. Click Visibility in the left pane. Select “Show or hide based on an expression” and type with following expression:
=IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="Yes", False, True)
Select “Display can be toggled by this report item” option, and select “SalesTerritoryGroup” in the drop down list.
5. Use the same method setting CalendarYear, (Details) drill-down with following expression:
=IIF(Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="Yes", False, True)
=IIF(Parameters!YearExpand.Value="Yes", False, True)
6. Click SalesTerritoryGroup text box in the tablix. Select InitialToggleState property in the Properties dialog box, and type following expression:
=IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="Yes", True, False)
7. Use the same method setting SalesTerritoryCountry, CalendarYear text box with following expression:
=IIF(Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="Yes", True, False)
=IIF(Parameters!YearExpand.Value="Yes", True, False)
After that, when we preview the report, we can use these three parameters to expand/collapse drill-down.
Note:
In our test, we may meet following issue. We can check the expression of InitialToggleState property to troubleshooting the issue.

Can Acrobat create a PDF using the same page numbers as FrameMaker?
I'm using FrameMaker 10 on Windows 7 and Acrobat Pro 9. I know I can set the page numbers after I create the PDF (Advanced > Document Processing > Page Numbering), but is there any way to tell Acrobat (or Distiller) to do this automatically based on the page format set up in FrameMaker? Right now, the cover and inside cover have no page numbers, but I could assign them numbers and hide them. The TOC is lower case Roman numerals, and the rest of the book uses Arabic page numbering. Someone has asked whether we can have the page numbers be reflected in the page field so that when you enter page 10, it takes you to page 10 of the book (where 10 appears in the corner of the page), not the tenth page of the PDF, which might land you in the TOC.
We produce PDFs as part of an automated system, which is why I can't mess with it after it's been produced.There is a FrameMaker plug-in that can do this:
http://www.frameexpert.com/plugins/pagelabeler/index.htm
Or, you might consider using PDFMark to add page labels. -
Call ITS SAP R3 from CRM WebClient using parameter NOHEADEROKCODE=1
Good day,
I need some help with an issue.
We want to hide the command field in the SAP GUI for HTML using parameter ~noHeaderOkCode.
[http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/49/f7cf3f06bd3946e10000000a114084/frameset.htm]
But we want to hide it only when we access the R3 transactions from the CRM WebClient, not in the rest of uses of R3 ITS SAP GUI for HTML. The CRM WebClient launchs some transactions of SAP R3 inside its web, and we want users not to call another transactions there by using the command field.
I've been reading about alias and external alias, but not resolved our issue.
I'll appreciate any help.
Best regards,
MartinaHi Martina,
one option might be to create a ZWEBGUI service for your CRM WebClient. i.e A copy of the WEBGUI service with the parameter ~NOHEADEROKCODE1 set in its parameters section.
You could also then restrict access to the NEW service to your CRM Users.
See the WIKI:

Passing CURR value to screen using PARAMETER ID's
Hi all,
I need to pass a value which is of type CURR to a screen field which is of type DEC using parameter id. As of release 6.10 only character-type field is expected to pass to screen fileds. I tried converting the CURR field to char type and pass the same to screen field,but didnt work as in the screen filed it expects some value with typr DEC.
Thanks in advance!Hi Rob,
while debugging the code i can see the values of pid in SAP memory, but when i run the program to display those values on the screen field with type DEC,it kicks me out of the system.I commented that part of code and exceuted the program and then it went fine so i am for sure that it goes wrong at this part of the code.

Problems when I copy a text from master page field to body page field
Hello
I am developing a electronic form and I have experimented a strange bebehavior.
When I try to copy a rawvalue of listbox field from master page to textbox field in body page, this works randomly.
I have this code in the validation of the master page field
--------------------begin code---------------------
if (this.rawValue != null && this.rawValue != "")
if (xfa.form.myform.mysubform.mytextfield.rawValue != this.rawvalue)
xfa.form.myform.mysubform.mytextfield.rawValue = this.rawValue;
--------------------end code---------------------
Somebody know what is wrong?
I am very confused.
Thanks a lot for your help.

So while it may be interesting to try to reduce the amount of code, there
probably won't be any direct approach without extra steps to get you what
you want with bare bones code that appears as you want it to or at least acceptable.
I guess you might have to take a screen image, clip the relevant portion, since

Hi,
If you want to add fields to a list, as you have written your form in JavaScript, you can take consideration of using JavaScript Client Object Model to add/delete fields dynamically.

Where is the value of a SAP UI page Field stores?e.g. Priority
Hi All,
I am so confused about getting the value of a UI page field, e.g.Priority. I don't know how to obtain its value in a report. It isn't a field in CRMD_ORDERADM_H table.
Via set a breakpoint in one of class CL_CRM_UIU_BTADMINH_CN' method GET_PRIORITY and debug, I can find its value here in 'assign ME->CONTAINER_PROXY->DATA_REF->ATTRIBUTE_REF->* to <DATA>.'. But I don't know how to use it in my report.
Any one can help? Thank s very much!
Br,
IvyHi Ivy,
You can find the priority in the table SCPRIOT.
If you want to get it from the UI, you can get it from the relation BTHeaderActivityExt
Refer the code:
DATA: ls_activity_h TYPE crmst_activityh_btil.
lv_collection = lr_order->get_related_entities( iv_relation_name = 'BTOrderHeader' ).
IF lv_collection IS BOUND AND lv_collection->size( ) GT 0.
lr_adminh ?= lv_collection->get_current( ).
ENDIF.
CHECK lr_adminh IS BOUND.
* check if the leading object is activity or task
CALL METHOD lr_adminh->if_bol_bo_property_access~get_properties
IMPORTING
es_attributes = ls_adminh.
INCLUDE crm_object_types_con.
IF ls_adminh-object_type EQ gc_object_type-businessactivity OR ls_adminh-object_type EQ gc_object_type-task.
* get the activity header extension
CLEAR lv_collection.
lv_collection = lr_adminh->get_related_entities(
iv_relation_name = 'BTHeaderActivityExt' ).
IF lv_collection IS BOUND AND lv_collection->size( ) GT 0.
lr_activity_h = lv_collection->get_current( ).
CHECK lr_activity_h IS BOUND.
* check if the activity or task is marked as private
CALL METHOD lr_activity_h->get_properties
IMPORTING
es_attributes = ls_activity_h.
