Use proxy to connect the net

Question

I want to use php on the internet by using JAVA programme to post my request.So i used URLConnection and everything is ok.But when i use this programm on the computer which connect Internet by proxy server and the programm doesn't work.How can I do this? Is there any thing in Java to set the proxy?

Thanks for your help.Now i have to set up the user and the password.So i use the code:
System.getProperties().put( "proxySet", "true" );
System.getProperties().setProperty( "http.proxyHost",proxyServer);
System.getProperties().setProperty( "http.proxyPort",proxyPort);
URL url=new URL("http://www.sun.com");
URLConnection connection = url.openConnection();
String proxyUser = "jsf";
String proxyPass = "jsf";
String input = proxyUser+":"+proxyPass;
String authen = new sun.misc.BASE64Encoder().encode(input.getBytes());
connection.setRequestProperty("Proxy-Authorization","Basic "+authen);
connection.connect();
connection.setDoOutput(true);
But this does not work.Please help me
