Use RT Communication Wizard to build application for PDA

Hi,
I am wondering if the RT Communication Wizard can be used to build the Host, NPL and TCL VIs for PDA touch screen pocket PC model NP 606S.
I am familiar with using RT Communication Wizard to build RT set of VIs for communication between PC and cFP-2020 field point.
Now I need to go step further and develop the similar VIs, one VI (NPL along TCL) that will run on the RT Target (my field point) and Host VI that I will compile and run from PDA (NP 606S). I am using cross-over Ethernet cable (TCP communication).
If this is possible to do, are there any special instructions (rules) to complete the process properly.
Thanks in advance,
Peja

I don't use the RT comm wizard, but after generating a small sample program, my answer would be yes. The RT part is only on the RT side. Programs written using the PDA module use the TCP VIs just like regular programs and I have used them to talk with a FP, so it should work. You should keep in mind that the display on PDAs is limited (no clusters, no arrays and so on). Since, according to this, the NP 606s isn't a PDA, it's possible it will be able to display them (although I doubt it).
Try to take over the world!

  • Excel documents attempting to use non-existing Secure Store target application for unattended account

    Hey,
    I have been brought in to take a look at a few errors experienced on a SharePoint 2013 farm that will be used for BI functionality. One of the errors is the following:
    This happens when I attempt to refresh a Excel document that is using an unattended account. The application that it attempts to access (named in the error) does not exist in the Secure Store Service. I have checked the Excel Service Global Settings
    and the Target Application ID of the Unattended Service Account does not match what is given in the error (but matches a target application id that exists).
    Is there anywhere that you can override the global settings of the excel service? Is there something else that might be wrong?
    Any help is appreciated.

  • Can I use TNSI Payment gateway in iOS application for making product purchases of Pizza for one of our major client.

    Hello Sir/Madam,
    I am representing my company to ask this quest, your quick response is much appreicated.
    We are making an application for one of our client for Pizza and food product purchased and advertisements. We are trying to implement a payment gateway so users can make purchases using their credit cards. Our client have used TNSI payment gateway on website however we are not sure whether we can use the same TNSI payment service in iOS Application.
    Would you please confirm with us whether apple have an approval for using this Gateway service inside the app. Please let us know ASAP so we can make the integration for completing the app.
    Also it would be real great if we are suggested some approved and valid payment gateways apple have approved for the apps submitted over appstore as this would help us to use the same services firmly wihtout the appstore rejection issue.
    Link for gateway service provider : http://www.tnsi.com/products-services/payments/payment-services/secure-managed-p ayment-solutions/tns-payment-gateways
    Thanks for you kind reply in advance.

    What is the appstore rejection issue? It is best not to pay too much attention to what you read on internet media outlets as they are typically full of lies.
    Food is the easy part. You cannot use Apple's payment systems for physical products. You must do that yourself using whatever system you have. Advertising is trickier. You talked about pizza and food and then slipped in that little tidbit. Why?
    The bottom line is that the only people who get their apps rejected are people trying to scam either Apple or Apple's users. Sadly, not enough of them get rejected. You know if you are trying to scam someone or not. If so, then your chances of rejection are higher. When in doubt, consult Apple's In-App Purchase guidelines.

  • Using SecureCRT or other terminal emulator application for Telnet of LMS

    Hi Everyone,
    How to I set SecureCRT/Hyperterm or other terminal emulator as the one that will be use to telnet a device from Device Center or Topology Services?
    Many thanks.

    For Device Center, it depends on which browser you use. If it's Mozilla/Firefox, it can be as simple as modifying the Helper application in the Preferences. Or if it's IE 7 or 8, you could modify the registry setting for the telnet:// protocol (see this post https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/670709), or alternatively replace the Windows telnet.exe binary with a shortcut to SecureCRT if you don't mind using the latter all the time.
    For Topo Service in Campus Manager, you need to create a campusmgr.properties file as described in http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_campus_manager/5.0/user/guide/cmugfull.pdf, and keep in mind of http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCsa80409 that afflicts CM 4.0 and Windows 2003 and Windows XP clients.

  • Build Application for Dynamic SubVI

    We have a Labview project for test different kinds of product, each product
    has a subVi which got called by project via Reference Node. The whole
    project works fine , that means the dynamic load in those subvi is right.
    When we build executable application for this project , the file can load
    some subVi, the test for this product can work , but some subvi can't loaded
    into memory, then the test for this product can't work.
    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    When you build your application, on the Source Files tab, click Add Dynamic
    VI and then select all of the VIs that you call by reference node.

  • Building executabe for PDA takes enourmous time or hangs

    I have an application consisting of 30 VIs. The depth of hierarchy is 6 levels and the average size of the single VI is 100kB. The size of my application should not be a problem for the PocketPC?
    The application runs well in the desktop PC and the compiler does not to indicate errors when the execution target is PocketPC2002 or the emulator. However, when I try to build the executable for the PocketPC (Tools->Build for PDA...) everything seems to be ok, VIs are listed and no errors.
    What I am wondering is a looooooong build time. It takes 30 minutes to build this application in 1.6GHz desktop computer. I think it is far too much! I am planning to have an PDA application which might have over 200 VIs - I won't
    even guess how much it takes to build that!
    Does this kind of extreme long build time indicate some kind of problem in the application? When I run this application in PDA (final size of the exe is 2MB) it stops its execution immediately (it should display some analysis results).
    Then I made some minor modifications to the application and now the build process did not end after 2 hours (I restarted).
    I have updated the PDA toolkit to 7.0f1.
    Any experiences of similar behavior?
    thanks,
    Wirer

    I tested with another application which also had a similar hierarchical structure (30 VIs with depth of 6) but VI sizes were much smaller (average of 30kB). To build this application took 'only' two minutes!
    If the size or complexity of the VIs can affect to the build time this dramatically, it would be useful to have some kind of time approximation for the build process before its start. At minimum there should be an information field along the progress bar which indicates the VI under processing. Current 'progress bar' does not give any information of the state of the total progress and if the build takes a long time, a bored developer might think that its stucked.

  • Please help!!! trouble using UI Roadmap on a PDK application for EP 7.0

    Hello all,
    I'm developing a PDK application in wich I would like to use a roadmap UI control. Is this possible to do?. At this moment i'm trying to do this by using
    the source code generated by webdympro, this works on a EP 6.0 server but, it doesnt work on a EP 7.0 server. is this version component (EP 7.0) needs some kind
    of adjustment or configuration to use the roadmap UI Control within a PDK application or It can be done in another way?
    Please Help!!
    Regards,
    Mariana

    Hi,
    I have never worked with the examples but I can tell you how to solve your problem in situation 1. The portal user you use to preview the iView does not have sufficient permissions for the security zone to which the iView belongs.
    To set the permissions follow the instructions below:
    1) Log into portal with system administration rights
    2) Navigate to => "System Administration" => "Permissions" => "Portal Permissions"
    3) Open folder "SecurityZones/com.sap/UndefinedSecurityArea/no_safety/Example12/components"
    4) Right-click object "ExampleLayer" and choose "Open Permissions" from context menu
    5) Set permissions for your user
    6) Save changes with click on "Save" button

  • How to make use of communication method in output type for new smartform?

    Hi all,
    My requirement, send the smartform to the carrier by fax/email/print based on the output condition records created.
    Here are the things that I had done.
    1) created a ZSMARTFORMS - smartforms
    2) created a ZPRINTPROGRAM - print program
    3) created a ZTCFRT - transaction code
    3) created an ZFRT  - output type
    I am stuck here. What are the next steps ? I want when I run transaction code: ZTCFRT, this print program ZPRINTPROGRAM will call this  ZSMARTFORMS smartforms and send/fax/print to the carrier.
    It would be great that someone can share the steps with me.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Have you written any code in your program or just Created it?
    If you have only created it, then you need to call some functions in your PRINT Program and these are:
    Below is just an example:
      CALL FUNCTION 'SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'
        EXPORTING
          formname           = i_formname
        IMPORTING
          fm_name            = i_fm_name
        EXCEPTIONS
          no_form            = 1
          no_function_module = 2
          OTHERS             = 3.
        CALL FUNCTION i_fm_name
          EXPORTING
            control_parameters = control_parameters
            output_options     = output_options
            user_settings      = space
            vbeln              = p_vbeln
          TABLES
            it_vbak            = it_vbak
          EXCEPTIONS
            formatting_error   = 1
            internal_error     = 2
            send_error         = 3
            user_canceled      = 4
            OTHERS             = 5.
        IF sy-subrc <> 0.
          MESSAGE ID sy-msgid TYPE sy-msgty NUMBER sy-msgno
                  WITH sy-msgv1 sy-msgv2 sy-msgv3 sy-msgv4.
        ENDIF.
    After calling second function, system execution will reach to the SMARTFORM (which you have created). There in smartform you can do whatever you want.

  • Java application for PDA

    Hi,
    Can you recommend which is the best PDA (or graphic tablet) for Java development.
    I need to develop a simple application : a data entry form to be filled in. The form does not really require keyboard input, just options to be ticked.
    I thought this could be developed as a Java Interface.
    I was also considering a graphic tablet for this application because the screen space is bigger.
    I’d be very grateful for any suggestions or tips of what my best options would be.
    Is there a more specialized forum for this subject (I haven’t been able to find one)?
    Thanks very much

    a better question is: which PDA has a decent JVM installed. There are not many. I would consider .NET mobile if I were you, combined with a Windows Mobile 5+ PDA. You'll have far less head aches.

  • Bluetooth application for PDA

    Hej!!!
    I am a student involved in a project that requires JAVA. I am going to use a HP iPaq 5500 which has windows mobile for pocket pc 2003.
    What I want to do on the PDA is:
    - scan for bluetooth devices.
    - detect them.
    - send a file.
    I would like to know if anyone has information about this. What are your suggestions?
    My first step is start looking at java virtual machine for the PDA. Then I would like to know what is the easiest way to do the software. I have read that it can be easily done by using obex or JSR-82 but I am not familar with this. I would be so grateful if anyone could help me with this. Thank you in advance

    Hi ssk
    can you clarify exactly what you are doing here as I would agree with you that if a restart is solving the problem currently then some kind of memory buffer prob exists but I'm still not clear how you are changing this "Bluetooth friendly name"
    will you attach your code so that I can run it and get a better understanding.

  • Building SAP applications for iPhone, Android etc.

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement for building SAP online and offline applications for iPhone, Android, Windows phone. These applications would interface with SAP backend (ERP) for fetching data or for executing simple tasks like approvals etc.
    We have developed thin client (online) applications using Webdynpro Java for Blackberry users. These applications are browser based applications (deployed on SAP Netweaver WAS) and are accessed through Blackberry browser. What I am not sure is whether the same approach/technology like Webdynpro for Java would work for handhelds like iPhone, Android and Windows phones.
    Secondly whether vendors (like Apple) of iPhones, Android etc. provide specific connectors or frameworks for building SAP online/offline applications (or in other words what would be the mechanism for integrating iPhones, Android with SAP)
    Lastly how (technology, architecture etc.) are SAP thick client or offline applications built for iPhone, Android etc.
    Any pointers would be of great help.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Suresh

    Hi Philipp,
    Thanks for your quick response. When you say integrating with "Integrating Custom Client with DOE", do you mean the usage of SAP Mobile Infrastructure (now know SAP NetWeaver Mobile).
    We are mainly looking at building online (thin client) applications and also parallely at building offline or thick client applications but that is second in priority.
    What we have done so far
    We have developed thin client (online) applications using Webdynpro Java (which interface with SAP backend systems)
    for Blackberry users. These applications are browser based applications and are accessed through Blackberry browser. We are looking at similarly building applications for iPhone, Android and Windows phones probably using the same technology like Webdynpro Java.  But we are not sure how well it would work on iPhone, Android etc. Also we were exploring to see if these vendors (iPhone, Android) provide some sort of connectors or framework for quickly developing and deploying SAP mobile thin client applications.
    Please note that we are aware that using webservices in one generic approach.
    Once again thank you very much for your response.
    Regards,
    Suresh

  • Using the Formula Node for PDA

    I get a compile error when I use C code inside the formula node. Is it possible to use C Code inside the formula node for PDA applications? Do I have to include any file while building the executable for the PDA

    Ok, I was able to successfully build an executable file without error. I attached the screen shots of your program in execution. Does this look like the desired result?
    I'm confused as to why I can build and run the program on my machine. I have LabVIEW 7.0 and Windows XP. What version of Windows and LabVIEW are you using? Also, are you getting the error window when you try to build an executable or when you attempt to run the VIs within LabVIEW?

  • Arm64,armv7  build issues for  Xcode 6

    Hi,
    Currently I have 2 workspaces which are for Xcode6 as below:
    a)Which  builds the library(which as neon asm code )  using armv7 ,
    b)Other is app workspace(which uses armv7 ) which uses the above library and builds application.
    Below are  my queries:
    1) Is there any way to link the lib built with armv7 ,with arm64  app to create an application in b)?
    Currently I'm facing linking errors in app workspace which is asking for arm64 version of library from a).
    2)Do I need to change the assembly code in library(a) to support for arm64 architechture and then link it with app workspace(which is built with arm64 arch)?
    Note:Here my intention is to give the support for arm64 architechture to my application.
    Thanks in advance.

    Reading my post I see that I left out paranthesis
    retVal = UIApplicationMain(argc, argv, nil, NSStringFromClass([AppDelegate class]));
    sorry.

  • How run MSR for PDA through NWDS

    Hi all,
    I'm working with MI 7.0 . I have installed NWDS on my PC and imported MSR.war application for PDA. In my PocketPC emulator I have installed the Client MI, CrEme and DB2e. How can I configure NWDS in order to run MSR in NWDS? What steps or settings I have to do in NWDS? I set in window->preference the MI home folder after having installed MI Client (for Win32) but I don't understand how run the application considering that MSR has to work on PDA. Help me please.
    Many thanks,

    I would add a new column to use as an indication that a particular row contains the string in question, then sum the column.
    B3=IF(IFERROR(FIND($B$1, A3), 0)>0, 1, 0)
    select B3 and fill down
    Then sum the results in cell D2 as shown:
    D2=SUM(B)
