Use UWL API in a Servet and access the servlet via URL

Hi All,
Actually I want to write a servlet from which I will access the uwl items using UWL APIs. And then I will submit HTTP Request to this servlet via url and want to get the UWL items in response. Is it Possible. I know that it is possible to access uwl items from JSPDynpage but is it possible to use it via servlet. If possible please give me some idea. what are the prerequisite.

Developing mobile application (SAP Ui5) using UWL API

Hi,
I need to develop a mobile application using sap ui 5 which will fetch the work items from the logged in user's id and when the user clicks on the workitem another custom page should open which will have the details of the task selected.The entire applications needs to be accessed from a smart phone.
Basically I will be using a hybrid web container for this purpose.
Do you have sample code or informtaion in this regard.

Fetching Tasks Using UWL API

Hello Experts,
Currently we are in the process of retrieving the task items assigned to the logged in User in Portal...We are using UWL API for the same. The problem is that when we create a task through the my Tasks Link in Collaboration, the created task is not getting retrieved.
Please let us know what could be the reason for this....

What was the resolution for your issue?
I am also using the UWL API to retrieve items. When I clear the UWL cache, the API reports 0 items even if I have some, however, if I load the UWL page, the API starts to report the correct number of UWL items. I have tried the functions getItems() and refreshCacheAndGetItems(), but neither seem to work after clearing the UWL cache.

I've literally had a 50/50 success rate with drives. But even if you get it to work, all you'll be able to access are photos or videos that follow a very strict naming convention. You cannot access documents or music, and you cannot write anything off the iPad onto a flash drive.
If you want to access photos or videos, you'll get more reliable results with an SD card than fighting with a USB drive.

People who have Photoshop, but don't have Lightroom, need ACR so that they can use Raw files. Without ACR they could do nothing with those (they may also like having ACR so that they can work on other kinds of image using the same kinds of adjustments and techniques, as are used with Raw files).
People who have Lightroom, can get access to Raw files regardless whether ACR is present or not. They can use Lightroom on other kinds of image also, using the same methods. LR can pass images directly into Photoshop without passing via ACR (or else does so transparently, which amounts to substantially the same thing).
ACR does not, strictly speaking, even need to be installed for this external editing to happen. In fact, not even PS needs to be - since a different image editor can be used instead, while still retaining the Adobe Raw conversion etc.
Lightroom "subcontracts out" specialised external tasks, in this workflow, but is still your "main contractor": the image is otherwise located, viewed, managed, adjusted/presented and output entirely using LR.
So IMO we can divide image processing into:
operations that involve pixels and layers and layer masks and adjustment layers etc (of the kind done inside Photoshop)
operations that involve parametric edits (of the kind done in ACR where you are not using a Lightroom based workflow; otherwise, done inside Lightroom)
When PS is called in, that's because those tasks are impossible or unsuitable to do in Lightroom. But those tasks can't be done in ACR either - by definition, since LR and ACR have exactly the same image processing "feature set".
Lightroom is irrelevant to the Bridge + ACR + PS workflow. This workflow requires both your PS and your ACR to be current enough, to support your Raw format etc.

Development and access to external WSDL URL

Hi All,
I am developing a SOA application with BPEL composite which also makes calls to an external third party webservice. Due to security reasons, the external third party webservice URL is only accessible from our Development server machine (and not my local machine running JDeveloper). Issue with this is the SOA application development is done using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 on my local machine.
Overview of my application is
WebService (Synchronous Request/Response Client interface ) ---> BPEL ---> Third Party webService (Partnerlink)
1) Using the Client interface the user enters startTime and EndTime values
2) The startTime and endTime is input message to the BPEL process.
3) The BPEL process then sends the request to the third party web service (partnerlink) and gets a response message back and returns to the client.
I tried workaround for the same by asking the third party for WSDL and associated XSDs and included these locally in my SOA application project. However trying to deploy the completed SOA application and keep getting this error.
ERROR MESSAGE_
[03:40:25 PM] Error message from server:
There was an error deploying the composite on WLS_SOA: Error occurred during deployment of component: DataRetrievalService to service engine: implementation.bpel, for composite: DataRetrievalService: ORABPEL-09705
Could not initialize variable.
An error occurs while initializing BPEL variable RetrieveEventSummary_GetEventSummary_InputVariable; the schema processor cannot find the element {http://schemas.internet.com/asiapac/cad/integration/1.0.0}GetEventSummaryRequest in the following schemas: oracle.fabric.common.wsdl.SchemaManager@1cf57b6b.
The XSD element on which the variable was based was not properly defined in XSD or the WSDL.
Ensure that the element named in the error message is valid in the XSD or the WSDL.
Questions_
1) Please suggest, is it possible to develop a SOA application which makes service call to external URL, while the local development machine cannot access the external WSDL URL.
2) Also, in such cases in future deployments to test and production do I still need access to external WSDL URL from my machine. I deploy the completed SOA application from my local machine to the Development Server. The Development Server machine is configured to accessed the third-party WSDL URL.

It seems WSDL is not complete or invalid. Check whether it references element {http://schemas.internet.com/asiapac/cad/integration/1.0.0}GetEventSummaryRequest and this element has been defined in the XSD imported/defined in WSDL.

Just deploy it on server and then test there.

Setup mySQL and access the same from jsp

Hi,
I have installed the MySQL in local desktop in d: drive. As per the documentation, have created my.cnf file to point sql directory in d drive.
Now I dont know how to proceed further. I need to see if MySQL installation is fine, create table and access the data in jsp page. Please advice.

For MySQL help try a MySQL forum.
For connecting to the database, use JDBC. You can get the MySQL JDBC driver from www.mysql.com.
From there just follow standard java database connection setup.

99.9% of the time, the cause of this issue is the fact the phone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it for use on networks other than the network the phone was originally locked to. Apple maintains a database of officially unlocked iPhones, and when Apple's servers detect phones such as yours, activation stops & you get the message you got.
So, either get a sim card from the carrier your phone was originally locked to, or get it officially unlocked, if you want to activate it. Because it appears that it was not officially unlocked.

I had a problem with a 5.0.3 project that would cause 5.0.4 to crash. Apple asked for a copy of the project and later told me it was because there were some empty text layers. Apple is aware of the issue and is working on a fix.
In my case I still had 5.0.3 on another Mac and could clean up the project. If empty text layers might be the problem, do you know someone with an earlier version who could open it and remove the empty layers? I'd be willing to give it a try if you'd want to send me the project.
