Use XI to SalesForce

Hi All,
I am attempting to connect Salesforce with R/3 using XI.
I downloaded the WSDL and now am trying to configure the SOAP adapter from the WSDL File.
I however got the following error in the Adapter Framework.
Any bright ideas how I can fix this ..???

    Hi
I wanted to know if any1 did an interface between SAP XI and SalesForce.com ( Web Based Crm )
if u have any relevant information/web logs it would b gr8
    thx,
        Shai

    Hi Shai,
Integrating XI with Salesforce.com can be done using SOAP Adapters.Salesforce.com exposes APPExchange APIs and provide WSDLs for their Interfaces.
Normally, you will have documentation for salesforce.com interfaces and also a contact person at Salesforce.com to help you finding the interfaces and WSDLs.
You can integrate XI with Salesforce.com by developing soap-client interfaces in XI using these WSDLs and by defining routing rules in XI ID using SOAP Adapter.
After you import the WSDLs into XI, you can build an interface by integrating this with other applications like your R/3, Database or Online shopping cart and so on.
Some more information is avialable in:
    https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001266&_EVENT=DISPLAY.
There are couple of PPTs on service.sap.com regarding the same which will be of even greater help to you.
    Hope this helps.

  • SalesForce and Crystal error

When I try to run a report created with Crystal 2008 V12.3.0.601 that uses data from SalesForce, I get the following two errors.
    - Failed to retrieve data from the database.
    - Database Connector Error: 'Unexpected'
This report also contains multiple subreports that also pull from SalesForce and when I run those by themselves, they work just fine.  The query/report on the main report that errors out in Crystal runs just fine in SalesForce.
I have reviewed some postings about changing the CRConfig file and those changes have not helped fix the error.
    Specifics for my computer:
    Win 7 - 64-bit
    16GB memory
    465 GB free HD space
    Crystal Reports 2008 v12.3.0.601*
    * I have also tried running the report a Win 7 - 32bit with 4GB memory & 297 GB free HD space using CR 2011 and get the same error.
All reports reside on a network server.
I have attached the CRconifg file.  Is there something else that I need to change in here like a java path?
    Thanks

    Hi Glen
When I use the search term 'crystal salesforce fail' in the search box in the top right corner, I get the following KBAs that may help:

  • Custom ICF Connector for Salesforce

    Gurus,
I am new to the concept of ICF connector.
I got a new requirement to develop a custom ICF connector for salesforce.
Are there any samples for salesforce to which u can direct me? A lot is there in google for flatfile which I don't understand how to use it for salesforce. I am looking for salesforce as I am not sure how to implement for it.
    Please help.

I believe Salesforce exposes Create User/Update User etc Webservices. Just get it confirmed first and try to use OOTB Webservice connector to integrate with Salesforce.

  • How can I send out pending agreements for signature en masse on a scheduled basis?

I'm using EchoSign's Salesforce integration, and I'm trying to create a scheduled batch that will send out a large number of agreements for signature.  EchoSign has some exposed global methods that I'd hoped will help facilitate this, namely AgreementTemplateService.load, which generates an agreement based on an agreement template ID, and EchoSignAPIService.sendDocument, which sends out an agreement that it is provided.  Also, using the background action field on Agreement, it is possible to update an Agreement to 'Send', triggering its send-out.
I can do all this through code anonymously, or via a custom page at the click of a button, but to do it without user interaction is proving difficult.  Regardless of whether I try to do it via trigger or scheduled batch, the above-mentioned methods fail out in different ways that essentially amount to the same problem (trying to call a future method from a batch, or a callout from a trigger); I've reproduced the error messages here (these are stamped onto the agreement record and displayed when the record is viewed):
System.CalloutException: Callout from triggers are currently not supported
System.AsyncException: Future method cannot be called from a future
You have uncommitted work pending. Please commit or rollback before calling out
It seems the above methods are intended for use in a custom page, rather than in some scheduled, non-interactive use-case.  Is there any workaround for this, or support for sending out agreements at a scheduled time, rather than at the click of a button?  Thanks!

I'm not an Adoby guy, hence you may ignore my reply, but Adobe Dynamic Link is obviously not just one way ticket and in most cases works just fine.
You have already been explained by J-MS and tclark513 how to properly use it and which pitfalls may occur.
So as to apply an effect onto a whole sequence or a group of clips you need to either nest them in PrPro or pre-compose them in AE. Then just apply an effect (or several ones) onto that composition.
So, if you nest clips in PrPro, select your nested sequence in the timeline, right-click and choose 'Replace with After Effects Composition'. Done! Your dynamically linked AE composition is in the right place in your timeline and in your Project panel as well. If you can not treat it as an ordinary footage, there are obviously some mistakes in your workflow.
If you didn't nest your sequence or a group of clips in PrPro before replacing them with AE composition, you may easily do it within AE. Just select all the layers in AE composition and choose Layer -> Pre-compose... (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+C) Done! Switch back to your Master comp and apply your desired effect(s)
You may loose some effects or/and transitions while travelling from PrPro to AE via Adobe Dynamic Link, whereas you don't while travelling back
(If you start building your AE composition from scratch right in AE and then need to import it into PrPro, DO NOT export one as PrPro project out of AE, but rather choose Adobe Dynamic Link -> Import After Effects Composition... within PrPro)
P.S. And yes, submit a feature-request so that Adobe will convert 'Transparent Video' into fully functional 'Adjustment Layer'.

  • Using SOAP for integration of salesforce and crm sap

    Hi All,
I have to integrate CRM SAP and salesforce in order to sync the business partner data real time.
I learnt from articles that in this process CRM XIF adapter will be used. Also I learnt integration can be brought using either IDOCS or XML messages.
From where can i get help for developing SOAP interfaces?
How is the process going to look like?
I am very new to SAP.I am on my own on this assignment.I would really appreciate ur support.

  • Using salesforce connector in multiple mxml components

I am using Flex 2.0.1 and Salesforce as Database. My question
is i am creating login method in each component and application. I
want to use/pass salesforce connection from main application to all
sub component, how can i achieve this to avoid login for each
    application/ component.
example: In my project i created main.mxml application and 3
mxml components in each component i am logining into the salesforce
database to retrieve data from the database. i want to avoid
creating multiple logins for the components instead of writing
login for each mxml component i want login for the first time in
main.mxml application and want to use the same connection in mxml
components. Can anyone tell me how can i achieve this
If you feel this is not sufficient information to solve this
problem then let me know i will post another message with sample
    code.
    Thanks in advance.

The solution I ended up using was just to reference the CSS file at the root MXML application. Then I could just use .styleName on the Menu component and voila, it worked.

  • Unable to connect to Salesforce using webservices (SOAP protocol)

    Hi Team,
Our requirement is to consume Sales force WSDL (SOAP) with out PI involvement. We are having two WSDL's, one for Login to Salesforce and second one to exchange data.
We have created consumer service and logical port's. A proxy class with few methods is generated as expected.
The first consumer service for login is working fine. When we login, it returns the session ID which is valid for 2 hours. We tried to pass the session ID using the below code and then call the second service. It then gives error 'INVALID_SESSION_ID: Invalid Session ID found in SessionHeader: Illegal Session'.
Could you please let us know what am I missing? Is my approach correct?
    Thanks in advance!

Hi All, The issue was with the data that is being passed to lv_string using concatenation. These are case sensitive. Replaced SessionID in concatenate statement with sessionId and my issue is resolved.

  • Freezes while using salesforce

I was using Firefox on my work laptop until it started freezing while using salesforce.com. It seems to have started around the time v13 came out but i can't say for certain. I've attempted to remedy it by disabling all plugins but that did not help.
    Thanks

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    1. Clear Firefox's Cache
Firefox menu > Preferences > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"
    2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here (this will log you out)
Tools menu > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page and logging in again. Does that help?

  • How do I upload an XML file to salesforce using BULK API?

    Hi There,
Please let me know how do we upload an XML file to salesforce using Bulk API?
    Thanks,
    ET

    Hi,
I think that this is a more SalesForce.com question and think you will have more chance looking at SOAP API Developer's Guide for salesforce. Sending a SOAP request from the API Server is very straight forward and there are several tutorials and well documented about this.
    Cheers,

  • How to use web service consumer as a source to connect to Salesforce?

I see a lot of articles and mapping xmls on how to use web service consumer but as a newbie I am not able to view the object schema from my salesforce enterprise WSDL after importing it in Informatica designer as a source. My enterprise wsdl has operations like create, retrieve, upsert, delete etc so if I want to read data from account then could someone guide me on how to use the web service consumer to view the fields after importing the wsdl.  After importing the wsdl and selecting the operation say create, the columns (ports) displayed shows different groups but it doesn't list the object fields? what am I missing here? And what is the operation to read data from Salesforce is it "retrieve" from the entripse wsdl? As a newbie on this, I appreciate any inputs on this topic.

  • Calls between salesforce and crm sap using jco

    Hi,
    My requirement is as follows:
Tight integration of SFDC and SAP CRM in order to make Business Partners in sync across the systems. This will be a two way integration wherein any changes made to any business partner must be reflected in the other system upon batch/ real-time execution.
I am currently using jco to interact with the crm sap system.
What am i supposed to do from salesforce side in order to make the 2 systems talk?
    Regards
    Shilpi

You should do a search on the XIF IDOC adapter in the CRM general and framework forum.  If you need more details on how to set this up, you can also read the documentation of the function module
    CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE
Or look in the IMG at:
CRM -> CRM Middleware ->Exchanging data with External components ->XIF Adapter Setup
    Take care,
