User Administrator permission to CAF

Hi,
I used CAF core in order to create a few entity.
I hav add to one of the entity attribute of sap.com/caf.core/Document.
My problem is when i use this application to uploade document in the portal i get the next message:
"User Administrator has no create permission for objectId sap.com/caf.core/Document".
What shold i do to create permission for objectId sap.com/caf.core/Document?
Thanks,
Izit

Hi,
That could be the folder where your document will be uploaded.
In that case you will have to assign permission to your user id on that folder through KM.

  • Domain user or local administrator permission

    We have a windows 2008 R2 domain environment with windows 7 clients. Users have domain user permission.
    Security wise domain user rights is the way to go. But we have a lot of users with notebooks, with multifunctional printers at home. We configured a GPO to install printers, but they can't run setup to install the printer/scan software.
    Also some notebook user need to install/upgrade work related software.
    I thought of making the users power user.
    Or local amdin user, with UAC turned on. But we had issues with UAC turned on a year ago(can't remember what it was). I could also work with GPO's, Software Restriction Policies, Applocker. But that's to much Admin overhead. I,m looking for a solution that
    I and the users would benefit from.I like to know how other Admins deal with his
    Thanx

    Let me try to be more clearly.
    At the office we don't have any issues with installing printers drivers. We have about 100 users with laptops that need to install the multifunctional printers software(not drivers) at home. For most of them, installing the printer driver is
    no problem, because of a printer GPO's we configured.
    "Allow non-administrators to install drivers for these device setup classes" and "Point and Print Restrictions" GPO's.
    So we don't have issues with domain users
    installing printer drivers, but most of them have multifunctional devices at home. All different brands(canon, hp, Epson etc). As a domain user they don't have the permission to run the setup to install the scanner and printer software. They
    only can install the printer drivers, because of the GPO.
    This is one of the issues we have with domain users permissions. From security perspective, domain users permission is the way to go, but if does have its challenges. I don't want to install all the different software for those users, and on the other hand
    they don't want to rely on IT department for things they can do them self.
    For installing printerscanner software(not only drivers), the printer need to connected to the laptop. Users are not going to bring there multifunctional device to the office for me to install the software.
    So it's more the experience of other administrators I'm looking for, how to deal with giving users more permission to install or upgrade some software, but still have the feeling that IT department is in control of those laptops.
    Thanx

  • BI Dashboard - access denied for user to path /users/administrator/_portal/

    Hi,
    While I am within OBI EE, I try to access My Dashboards and I get this error message:
    " access denied for user to path /users/administrator/_portal/dashboard layout.
    Error Details
    Error Codes: O9XNZMXB "
    I have looked in other forums and found a solutions which was to delete cookies and then restart the system whole. It didn´t work at first. After a while, the system would allow me to access My Dashboards but then....
    ....I wasn´t able to access the shared filters that are on the network, thus impeding my others dashboards to work.
    Does anybody know what the correct procedure for having this work is?
    Thanks in advance,
    Javier Rincon

    Hi...
    go to Catalog Manager.
    Open and navigate to particular folder (_portal in shared)
    right click that and go to permissions.
    In left pane are you able to see the presentation Administrator ??
    If then, check what kind of permission Administrator has (full control or not), if not.. add Administrator into this pane from right pane (In the right pane, You can see the user by Unchecking the check box present below show groups only check box.)
    you didn't tell with whom you logged in?
    If administrator then follow the steps i mentioned,
    else... same steps but instead of administrator check it for particular user.
    Thanks & Regards

    Depending on how large your farm is and how many webapplications / site collections you need to enumerate to build this list, you might be better off using search to get the list of sites/webs that the user has access to (search results are security trimmed).
    You could then enumerate just the list of sites returned to determine the exact permissions.
    E.g. Code for getting a list of sites the user has access to:
    var ssaProxy = (SearchServiceApplicationProxy)SearchServiceApplicationProxy.GetProxy(SPServiceContext.GetContext(SPContext.Current.Site));
    var keywordQuery = new KeywordQuery(ssaProxy);
    keywordQuery.RowLimit = 200;
    keywordQuery.SelectProperties.Clear();
    keywordQuery.SelectProperties.Add("Title");
    keywordQuery.SelectProperties.Add("Url");
    keywordQuery.ResultsProvider = SearchProvider.Default;
    keywordQuery.QueryText = String.Format("contentclass:STS_Site OR contentclass:STS_Web");
    keywordQuery.ResultTypes |= ResultType.RelevantResults;
    ResultTableCollection searchResults;
    searchResults = keywordQuery.Execute();
    if (searchResults.Exists(ResultType.RelevantResults))
    var searchResult = searchResults[ResultType.RelevantResults];
    var results = new DataTable { TableName = "SearchResults" };
    results.Load(searchResult, LoadOption.OverwriteChanges);
    if (results.Rows.Count > 0)
    var resultsText = new StringBuilder();
    foreach (DataRow dataRow in results.Rows)
    var urlToWeb = dataRow["Url"] as String;
    //Perform your checking to determine the exact permissions

  • Omit administrator permission for a certain application in windows 2012

    Hi Guys,
    How can i omit administrator permission for certain application in windows 2012 ?
    I have read that u can use process monitor and give the registry key sufficient permission but this sounds you can easily damage your machine, isn't there any other recommended practice for this ? please advice.

    Thanks for quick reply.
    Im sorry I didn't elaborate properly. What i need is, my users in a terminal server, should be able to run an specific application which requires administrator permission.. i need to change this while they still remain non admin.
    I hope my question is more clear now.

  • Administrator Permission

    Hi,
    We are having 10g 2Node RAC on Windows 2003. I cannot stop services by using command ""crsctl stop crs/ srvctl stop database "" without administrator permission through my OS user. Is it possible to stop the services without Administrator permission on OS level.? What kind of OS level permission need to access the ""crsctl/srvctl etc"".
    Regards,
    Raja..

    I 'm having ORA_DBA permission, but i cannot run ""crsctl stop crs/srvct stop etc"". I can access only those commands, if i have administrator permission only.
    Thanks

    How do I get administrative permission on my iPad mini

    There is no Administrator user on iPad. What is it you are trying to do and we can recommend options for you?

  • Prevent user without permission access WCP Adminstration Console

    Hi all,
    I created a normal user A but not grand any permission for this user. I login WCP Adminstration Console with user A and the result I still access in to WCP Adminstration Console. And I can see the Resource page and Services page.
    And I found out big problem in here that with user A I can change the position of all page in the "Pages management" page. This action can take effect immediate and show it on Portal. In detail the position of link to the pages on the main menu of portal will be changed.
    Do you known how to prevent a authenticate user, without administration permission access WCP Adminstration Console?
    Would you have any Idea about it?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi.
    The first point that you have to do is prevent showing Administrator Console link to non administrator users:
    rendered="#{WCSecurityContext.userInAppRole['Administrator']}"The second way to secure administrator page is editing jazn-data.xml
    You will find in authenticated role next row:
    <permission>
      <class>oracle.adf.share.security.authorization.RegionPermission</class>
      <name>oracle.webcenter.portalwebapp.pages.adminPageDef</name>
      <actions>view</actions>
    </permission>Be sure that you add the view permission to Administrator role if you remove this line.
    Remove or modify the access to admin page for athenticated role.
    Or you can edit the permissions of the users/roles in Design/Runtime disabling the page management for them.
    Another Update:
    Hierarchical Permission in jazn-data is setted to authenticated-role as can personalize.
    Investigate a little with jazn-data default permissions :).
    I hope this help you.
    Regards.

    Problem #1 resolved: Ask me for solution

    Hi Oliver,
    A contact at SAP has indicated that in the KM Task Scheduler Deadline (com.sap.workflow.es.scheduler.TaskScheduler.Deadline.run) that the user "Administrator"  is hard coded in the SPS13 release.
    Depending on what you are using the KM for you could reduce the frequency of the alert by changing the scheduling of this task which by default is every five minutes.
    Although the release notes of the following patches didn't formerly address the hard coding issue, I decided to apply them anyway as I thought that a later release may have fixed the issue.  However it is not fixed with these interim patches.
    KMCBC13P_1-10003491.SCA   Patch for KMC BASE COMPONENTS 7.00 SP13
    KMCCM13P_1-10003492.SCA   Patch for KMC CONTENT MANAGEMENT 7.00 SP13
    I guess we will need to wait for a further patch to be released and ignore the error in the meantime.
    Regards
    Craig

  • How i can create multiple users at a time (User Administration) in EP

    Hi
    I need to create multiple users at a time. How can i do that through User Administration in EP.
    Please also tell me about import option in User Administration

    Hi,
    1.  First of all create a master user based on which you can create multiple users.
    2.  when you are done with it  export (by selecting the option at user creation) it.
    3.  you can see some text in a window copy it create  a txt file with it, and add as many users as you want
         by cpoy pasting the text multiple times and making necessary change as per the names etc...
    4. save the txt file.
    5. goto import option you were talking about and import the text file and update it.
    6. As it gets updated you are done with the creation of multiples users.
    If you  get stuck somewhere  feel free to  let me know.
    if  this answer satisfies your need, award points and close the thread.

  • Getting error while creating the user in user administration in portal

    Hi folks,
         i am unable to create the user in user administration in portal due to the following error,
    could you please help regarding this issue
    "Current user has user creation permissions in the UME, but cannot create users in the back-end system (data source). The original and possibly untranslated message was: "No active writeable datasource found for user creation, check your Persistence Configuration.".

    Hi All,
    I am closing this thread as this is not in the correct forum.  This should be opened in LDAP or UME.  Please open the thread under the correct heading.

  • 'Unable to check credentials of user. Permission denied...'

    Hi everyone, i have this problem when i try to login in a jsp that connects with WCC to check user and password.
    oracle.stellent.ridc.protocol.ServiceException: Unable to check credentials of user. Permission denied. Address 'xx.xx.xx.xx' is not an allowable remote socket address.

         at oracle.stellent.ridc.protocol.ServiceResponse.getResponseAsBinder(ServiceResponse.java:108)
         at wcc.WccConnection.checkUser(WccConnection.java:597)
    The Address 'xx.xx.xx.xx' is a the IP Address of the VM where i mounted the WCC Server.
    I can access from another machine to the Control panel of the WCC with http://xx.xxx.xx.xx/cs so it has connectivity.
    Somebody said i had to change the file config.cfg in the WCC and add that address to the "SocketHostAddressSecurityFilter" variable, but it still doesnt work.
    Anyone has idea about this error?
    Thanks a lot!

    Check how Incoming Socket Connection Address Security Filter is configured. For more info see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e14495/config.htm#INECM1695
    (don't forget to restart the server after changing the value)

  • Unable to open  the "role"  workset in User Administration

    Hi,
      I have installed Enterprise Portal 6.0 SP9 on Web AS 6.40. But when I goto the "role" workset of User Administration I get "page cannot be displayed".
    So help required.
    Regards.

    Hi Pavanmeet,
    I got the same problem. Try to upgrade to SP17
    and it's solved. Otherwise you can use Firefox for this special site. No good solution - I must admit - but it's displayable with Firefox.
    regards
