User can only send 30 emails at a time

Hi,
I'm have a strange issue. We are hosting exchange and terminal server for a new customer. As part of their marketing, they send out a lot of email using the mail merge function in Word - typically they have 3-500 recipients on each list. This has been working
without a glitch in their old environment, but after moving to our hosting environment, most of the emails gets stuck in the users outbox.
If I open one of the messages in the outbox and click Send, it gets send immediately. After realizing this, I wrote a small macro that loops through all the items in the outbox and sends them, but when I run it, only the first 30 emails goes away. If I run
it again immediately, nothing happens but if I wait a few minutes before running it, I can send another 30 messages.
We are using Exchange 2010 SP1 U4 and terminal server on Win2008 R2 SP1. As far as I know, there is no setting in exchange that limits how many emails a user can send within a given period. I suspected the McAfee VSE 8.8 on the terminal server, but disabling
it doesn't change anything.
Any help ideas would be much appreciated!
/Rasmus

There is a huge difference between sending email and sending messages.
Yes, I believe you when you say you can only send messages to other Apple products.  The iPad is not a telephone, and therefore, it cannot text message.  It can only iMessage, which means it can send and receive messages to/from other Apple products if they are on WiFi or an iMessage capable cellular network.
Email, however, is a whole different category.  I don't really think you can only exchange email with other Apple products only.  Make sure you have correctly identified the symptoms.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • User can't send email in outlook

Exchange 2010 user is unable to send email in outlook2010. The send/receive reports not having permission to perform the action (0x80070005). She functions normally on iphone and ipad, and in owa. This is a mailbox that previously functoned.

    Hi Mike,
Does this issue occur on Online mode or Cached mode?
I guess on Cached mode only. If it is the case, please try to re-add the user into Outlook or re-create a new profile for testing.
Feel free to correct me if there is any misunderstanding.

  • Can only send email over wifi?...

Anybody have any clues why this would happen? I get a message that the server is not responding if I try to send an email on the 3g network (Orange, France) but it works fine once hooked up to wifi. Sending an identical email at the same time with the computer over wifi goes through so it's not a timing issue.

Could be that you using your ISPs SMTP

  • Need to create Mail User that Only Sends

is there a way i can set up a user that can only send emails but not receive? the user does not want any emails to come to this address, but needs to send information occasionally to others via this address.
i guess this would be much like the 'automated' emails sometimes received that say 'do not reply to this sender'
    thanks in advance

One way to do this would be to just set up a mail account in your favorite email app, and set all the user information as you like (i.e. name, reply-to address, etc.). Then in Server Admin, just put that user's ip in the list of machines that are allowed to relay. No need to even set up a real account on the server for that user.

    The receiving email ports are:

  • How to create mail user who only send or receive email to local user

I setup iplanet message server 5.2 SP1 for window 2000. It work right. But I don't know how to setup a mail user which can only send/receive email to/from local email user(user from the same message server). Thanks.

The easiest way I can think of, would be to isolate these users to a different mail server.
Once you isolate them, you can isolate that server so that it cannot connect to the external world, but only to your other servers, so local mail would be allowed, but not external mails.
I can't think of any way to achieve what you're asking for in the same server that allow some users full access.

  • Can't send attachments, can barely send emails at times since updated OS.

Mac's Mail app. 2.1 will not send attachments anymore (on or about the time I updated 3 of my copmuters to OS X 10.4.7. At times I can barely send emails, especially if they have more than a few lines of content! I can, however, receive email. My ISP, Adelphia, in Los Angeles, says everything's fine on their end and it's the Mail application. This is ridiculous. It started a week ago, then stopped doing it, and now it's totally worthless again. I've read numerous accounts of this in the discussions, but every "solution" seems needlessly complex. Can anyone help?

    Hi Freder,
    That's interesting...
Possibility: Some mail or account setting or preference file is corrupted
Make a new user account (System Preferences > Accounts; click the lock icon to authenticate, then the "+" icon). Log out of your account (under the Apple menu) and log into the new account. Run Mail and set up the Adelphia account. Can you send from here? To avoid confusion, don't receive mail in the new account -- look at Mail > Preferences > General and the check for new mail option to prevent an automatic receive.
Possibility: There's something else going on on your system
While sending a large message you know will fail, watch your system with Activity Monitor (in Applications/Utilities). Be sure the popup at top says All Processes, then click the % CPU column to show heavy CPU users. What is using your system? How much CPU is used? How much free disk space and free RAM is there? (The latter two items are under the Disk Usage and System Memory tabs at the bottom.)
Possibility: the connection to Adelphia is a problem
Web browsing is OK? You say that web mail works fine. Would you notice a drop out of your network connection for, say, five seconds while browsing the web? That's long enough to interrupt mail but short enough that you might just put it down to a slow page load. Watch network activity in Activity Monitor, the Network tab at the bottom. Does it drop to zero for a while before Mail fails?
If you can try the suggestions and answer the questions, I think we'll whittle this down enough to propose a solution.

I can not send email from my iPad .  Have been using it for over a year, all of a sudden I can only receive email.  I have a wifi connection in my home and have a A T &T cellular data plan?

I have a 1st gen iPhone that I just updated the software to 2.0.2
Now whenever I press the mail icon it goes to the mail app for about 4 seconds, does nothing, no loading of folders, old messages, nothing.
Then it reverts back to the home screen. Tried restarting, haven't tried restoring, thought I'd look here first.
    Anyone???

  • Can only send 1 Text/MMS at a time

Prior to this update, I could send a "mass" text message ( WITHOUT PICTURES ) now I can only send out one at a time. This is a very annoying problem when you have to to send he same text message to 4-5 people. I can't now, I get "send failure". Of course as is standard AT&T procedure, they assume no responsibility and keep telling me there roll out went flawlessly and that i's obviously an iPhone issue.
SO, has anyone else had this issue arise and if so, have you figured out a solution.
THanks, I appreciate it, and I still hate AT&T....So please don't pounce on me for all you AT&T fanboys. My iPhone experience has ALL been network related and I can say I really hate AT&T

Hi,No ATT fanboy here, but I am able to send text message to two people and a picture text to two people.
