User ID and password Popup in Client proxy
Hi Experts,
I created a client proxy to consume a webservice.When i execute the proxy, it pops up for user id and password,
i created one logiccal port also using tcode SOAMANAGER. during creation of the logical port, i entered teh user id adn password. but still it prompts for user credentials at the time of execution.
on the popup first line is "Resource - protected web service"
then option for user id and password.
How can i pass the user id and password programatically.

Hmmmm... would appear that you need to be actually logged in to enable the additional menu features.
Have you tried deletting the plists for MAS?

How to save user name and password on client tool

In our landscape, few users are using webi rich client tool to work offline. They are entering login credentials manually everytime. Is there any way to save the user id and password, so that user can login without manually entering the login credentials everytime. Please find below my system details. Server: BOBI 4.1 SP2
Client tool : BOBI 4.1 SP2
Authentication type : Windows AD

The Question is for which Front- Ends?
For the WRC you dont have to do anything as long as the Information under "System" is correct and "Windows AD" is selected under "Authentication. Leave "Username" and "Password" blank.
Just hit "OK" and you are logged in.

When trying to launch an intranet web site, it won't connect. It prompts me for a user id and password. I can get to external sites, and I have already added the site into the "No proxy for" dialog box
It depends where you publish your pages.
At MobileMe you can password protect a Site in iWeb. A Site is a collection of pages. If you want to protect a single page for a single person, you have to create a Site with one page and protect it.
When publishing at a 3rd party webhost, you can password protect a page or directory in a administration panel. Check with your host. iWeb is not involved there. -
How do I specify a particular Proxy Server, port, user-ID and password for file downloads
We are attempting to deploy Creative Cloud trial applications to a couple of users for testing purposes.
This is a corporate environment where we need to specify a particular proxy server by IP address, and port with a User-ID and password for identification in order to download files.
The Creative Cloud app appears to be ignoring the proxy settings in the browsers installed on the machine used to attempt a download. The Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition wants you to already have the files available. All technical support had is a white list, no help on how to specify a particular proxy server. Do we have to obtain media from Adobe, or is there a way to download these?

Defining an Authentication Scheme for user ID and password and client certi
Hi,
I do need to define an Authentication Scheme for user ID/Password and client certificate,, both at the same time, so whenever the end user access the SAP Portal he/she will be asked to provide user and password as well digital certificate,
Despite of the whole idea behind o f the concept of digital certificate, my client sill wants to keep the user ID and password to complies with business requirements.
I found a documentation that discuss Authentication Scheme with example using both ID and Digital certificate, but the priority was set different for each authentication method.

I have created a report which is using AS/400 db2 database.Connection is setup in a universe and through Client Access ODBC driver.
Users are trying to connect AS/400 db2 system through ODBC(Client Access ODBC driver) and full client BO 6.5.
It asks for signon to AS/400 prompt for USER ID and PASSWORD when BO report is refreshed by users.
Is there any way i can avoid the USER ID and PASSWORD as it is not feasible to give database USER ID and PASSWORD to each users.> SAPClassNotFoundException:

WLAN Proxy Settings - Saving User Id and Password
I've looked around on the net but have not been able to find a solution to this problem.
Using an N8 (on Nokia Belle), the WLAN settings does not seem to provide any place to specify the username and password for a proxy based network (Note: this is not the pre-shared key for the WLAN, but the username and password asked by the proxy server). When the browser is used, it prompts for the username and password and then works. However other applications cannot connect to this network as they seemingly lack this feature and the phone does not make this globally available. Nokia Configuration Tool (NCT) 6.3 seems to allow placement of username and password values. When configuration is transferred back to phone, NCT shows successfully configured, but this does not seem to be the case when the settings are used by the phone. Does anyone have a solution for this?Step 1
Goto Connectivity Menu
Menu Button - Settings - Connectivity
Step 2
Add new Access Point (continue from above)
Settings - Destinations
Step 3
Set the new Access Point
1) Select Access Point to add new access point.
2) Select Yes for "Automatically check ......"
3) Select WLAN for wifi & choose your corporate Access Point
4) Select Internet to assign it to Internet group.
Step 4
1) Go back to menu in Step 2
2) Select Internet.
3) Select the new Access Point that you've added in Step 3 & it will give the details of it.
4) Select Options - Advanced Settings
5) And you should see IPv4, IPv6 and Proxy settings menu

Our Work Folders deployment has just stopped working.
Once the user has logged in to ADFS they get the following error message "The sync server needs the user's current user name and password (0x80c80300)"

I have attempted re creating the setup using several blog posts including:

ADFS and WAP are working correctly for our Office 365 federations and on-premise SharePoint, Exchange and other web applications
If I turn ADFS authentication off on the Work Folders server I can successfully connect and setup work folders on a domain joined computer, however as soon as ADFS authentication is enabled I get the above error.Hi,
As you expressed, it should be an authentication issue.
I assume it will work by selecting Windows Authentication instead of ADFS in step shows in following picture.
The article also mentioned that the certificate is needed in following computers.
The self-signed AD FS certificate will need to be exported and installed on the following machines in the test environment:
Work Folders
Web Application Proxy
Domain joined Windows 8.1 client
Non-domain joined Windows 8.1 client
Thus I would like to confirm if certificate is also imported.

Vaishu00547 mentioned that the issue can be caused by the Execution Account you have configured in the Reporting Services Configuration Manager is not correct, Please update the Username and Password and restart the reporting services.

This account is used under special circumstances when other sources of credentials are not available:
When the report server connects to a data source that does not require credentials. Examples of data sources that might not require credentials include XML documents and some client-side database applications.
When the report server connects to another server to retrieve external image files or other resources that are referenced in a report.

I need to know if there is a user name and password associated with accessing a certain website.
I'm not sure if at one time there was a username and password given so that I automatically could access a site. The site is the home page for my department on the intranet of the company I work for, and they've activated a new vpn. If I use Safari, after activating the vpn opening Safari, it asks me for a user name and password for some proxy server and from there on out I can navegate the external web or the company intranet. Using Firefox, I do not get prompted for a user name and password but I cannot access my homepage yahoo.com or any public website; I can, however access my company's intranet. The IT guy says there must be some user name & pw to access the site that I've previously asked Firefox to memorize but which I can't see. I don't think so but I can't figure out where to find the list of sites that Firefox has memorized passwords for.

I deployed a rpc web service using WLS 7.0 SP2 in HP-UX 11 environment. When I
invoke the web service through my browser (IE 6.0) using the web services url,
it brings my service method correctly. From there, if I click the invoke button
it asks me for a network user name and password under "weblogic" realm??? If I
provide the admin user credentials (which I supplied while creating my domain)
it is not accepting that it keeps popping up this network user password window
over and over. Not sure which username/password I have to provide here to see
the result of my service.
If I try to invoke the web service through my client (static) I am getting a connection
refused exception. I guess either way, I am not able to access my web service.
In the attached file, I have cut and pasted the client stack trace as well as
the server log trace from weblogic.
Any ideas would be highly appreciated.

I want to write a PL/SQL function that checks if the entered user name and password is correct, by validation against the values in the table... Can someone help me with the code? Both user name and password is varchar2First of all, I believe you mean a procedure that would check the application username and password. Fot, if you mean a PL/SQL procedure, that runs in the database, and that means it has to be executed after the client application is connected to the database.
Maybe you need a procedure like this:
