User mailbox exceeds size limit on database

Exchange 2010 sp3, Outlook 2013
i have a mb database with maximum limit of 10GB. i found a user whose mb size is 15GB!! how is that possible?
should i run some maintenance script from EMS?

Agree with D_Goossens, user's mailbox quota will override database settings.
About changing auditing, you can use
Administrator Audit Logging  for searching who made the change.
The query would be something like this:
Search-AdminAuditLog -Cmdlets Set-Mailbox -Parameters ProhibitSendQuota, ProhibitSendReceiveQuota, IssueWarningQuota, MaxSendsize, MaxReceiveSize -StartDate 01/12/2014 -EndDate 03/12/2014 -UserIds USERNAME

What is the Maximum number of user mailboxes supported by single Exchange Database  in 2007 / 2010 & 2013 ?

Agree with Keith, there is no MB # limit, however there are practical concerns such as DB size and how that effects recoverability as well as performance.   In terms of extremes we had one major educational customer that had 35K Mailboxes in
a single database so you can utilize a ridiculous # of mailboxes in a DB if desired.  IMO you are better off to keep the # of mailboxes to a reasonable level, i.e. no more than 250-500 mailboxes per DB
Search, Recover, & Extract Mailboxes, Folders, & Email Items from Offline Exchange Mailbox and Public Folder EDB's and Live Exchange Servers or Import/Migrate direct from Offline EDB to Any Production Exchange Server, even cross version i.e. 2003 -->

  • EPrint - Message Exceeded Size Limit

I received an error message using ePrint that message exceeded size limit.  It seems that 5MB is the limit.  Are there solutions for larger files, i.e. winzip?  Thanks.

    Hi Igcgf,
As of right now the size limit is 5 MB as reviewed here about size limits. Also, a winzip file, which may hold supported file types such as PDFs, is not a supported file to be opened up and sorted through for printing purposes. It is best to take files out of the winzip file and attach to an outgoing email to your ePrint address.

  • Error 4.7.1 message exceeds size limit, but it doesnt

I am receiving this error every time I try to send a message.
The size of the message you are trying to send exceeds a temporary size limit of the server. The message was not sent; try to reduce the message size or wait some time and try again. The server responded: 4.7.1 <[email protected]>: Recipient address rejected: [email protected] exceeded daily recipients threshold . See http://postmaster.frontiernet.net.
This happened randomly and without provocation. I have talked to my mail provider and they are telling me that it is an internal error. They have checked my connection settings and everything is set up properly. The messages i am sending are just test messages with one word in them.

Did your provider also tell you that mime encoded attachments are about 30% larger than the original file size of the attachment. So a 4Mb attachment would exceed a 5Mb limit.

  • Method Exceeding size limit

Hi, I have a jsp that is getting an error saying it exceeds the 64k size limit for bytecodes. What is the solution to this besides taking out some code? Is there a way to include other jsp's like you can do in html pages with include statements?
    Thanks

http://www.refactoring.comThat doesn't really help you if the JSP compiler
(compiling anotated html) is emiting a method that is
simply too large.Well, a massive JSP will compile to a massive servlet. The inverse is almost always true (unless you are using a shoddy compiler) -- a small JSP will compile to a small servlet.
Chances are good that this particular JSP should become a candidate for a good ole' refactoring. That is, you're trying to do too much with one page. Perhaps all of your business logic is crammed into a JSP rather than being separated into its respective components, or it could be that you're trying to make one JSP serve as five (do you have a lot of ifs or case statements that determine the body of the page?).

  • User defined Field Size limit

    Hi,
would anyone know if there is a limit of the number of user defined fields that can be addeded to SAP Business One (2004A on SQL server 2000)?
I think there is (in a diffrenet way). It looks like there is a maximmum byte size  - 8060.
I have the following user fields already in the business partner master data screen .
    A - alphanumeric size = 50
    B - alphanumeric size = 20
    C - alphanumeric size = 20
    D - alphanumeric size = 20
    E - alphanumeric size = 254
If I try to change B to size 254 ,This is the error message I get.
"[CUFD] [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] Warnning: The table 'ACRD' has been created but it's maximum row size 'User Fieds - Descr' (8522) exeeds the maximum number of bytes per row (8060)..."
there is nothig else wqrong with the field exept I cannot make it size 254 (I can if I delete the field E though), so I definitely think it is SAP restricting the size. SQL Server does not have this size restriction. I can manually go and change the size using SQL Server Enterprise manager for example.
I have managed to change the size directly on ACRD, and
CUFD but dont thinks this is a very approprite way of handilng it.
Is this an undocumented restriction/feature in SAP or have I missed reading about this ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Indika.

    Hi Spiros,
I hope you are right. But I have experiences this with many atleast 3 other seperate installations. They were all SQL Server, ranging from Enterprise versio, to Developer version to standard.
However I can directly change the size in SQL Server without an issue as I mentioned. This proves that this not an issue with SQL Server. Could it be some sort of a flag in the SAP? I get this on the SAP US demo company for example.
If anyone else had the problem please do respond.
    Thanks,
    Indika

  • Send Errors on Messages Exceeding Size Limit

Have at least 3 emails that got SEND Error for size exceeding 20480 kb.  Mail server still retries Send every time while sending something new.    If they are in some "OUTBOX" it isn't visible to Windows LiveMail or to the Webmail.
How can we delete the oversize messages???

Not sure what you are asking.
The message is for ONE message and it should be indicated in the  message.  The messages being resent would be in your outbox, and it should be easy to see the approximate size.

  • Admin Console - Mailbox max size column

I was wondering if it is possible to not only show the users mailbox current size but also the maximum mailbox size for the users. We allow more space to our users if needed. It would be nice to view the users in the console and be able to see if the user is getting close to their limit and determine if we are going to allow them more size.

  • Mailbox database admission control by maximum mailboxdatabase size limit

I would like to have a feature which allowes to set a maximum size limit on a mailboxdatabase. This way we can keep the mailboxdatabases around a certain size. Existing mailboxex within the mailboxdatabase can grow according to their sizing
limits but no new mailboxes can be added or moved to it. In collaboration with the new automatic distribution feature you can migrate more efficiently and keep maintenance and restores times low.

    Hello,
Accroding to your description, I understand that you want to set a maximum size limit on a mailboxdatabase. Your purpose for this doing is that existing mailboxes size within the mailboxdatabase can grow, but new mailboxes can't be added or
moved to it? If so, I'm afraid that there is no way to set a maximum size limit on a mailboxdatabase in exchange 2013 server. But we can control automatic mailbox distribution sing database scopes.
Here is an article for your reference.

  • Mailbox database size limit

    Hello,
is there any limit for size of mailbox database file (.edb)? I found in some articles, that limit is 2TB. What happen, if this limit is reached?
    Thanks
    Br,
    Jan

The maximum supported size for a database is 16 TB.  However, it's best practice to keep it around 2TB assuming your going with a DAG.  I like to start out with 1 TB, and grow it from there if i really need to.

  • Mailbox migration size(data copied) vs mailbox size limit granted to user

    Hi,
I have an odd question. I am migrating a user from exchange 2010 to 2013 I can see that the statistics of the user are as follows:
The catch is that the user is restricted to a 2GB mailbox size limit. So where did the extra 10GB come from?

    Hi,
The data migrated contains two large things I can think of: Personal archive mailboxes and corrupted items.
And corrupted items are most likely to lead to greater 2G.
We can cheek this problem after migration completed.
    Mailbox moves in Exchange 2013

Then I try with a single level network but I got the same error.
    Please can samebody help me?

I find the solution to this problem.
In the LODConfig.xml file I have:
    <readPartitionFromBlob>true</readPartitionFromBlob>
                   <partitionBlobTranslator>oracle.spatial.network.lod.PartitionBlobTranslator11g</partitionBlobTranslator>
but when I change it to
    <readPartitionFromBlob>true</readPartitionFromBlob>
                   <partitionBlobTranslator>oracle.spatial.network.lod.PartitionBlobTranslator11gR2</partitionBlobTranslator>
The application starts without the obove mentioned error.

  • Mail Database Size Limit?

    Hello,
I have an Entourage DB that is over 6GB. Does anyone know if there will be any issues importing a DB this size into Mail and does Mail have a DB size limit? Thanks!

    Hello,
I cannot speak to how well Mail will import from Entourage, but there is no limit on the Mail folder (which is the database for Mail). Mail has an account folder for each email account you have, as well as still another folder for custom On My Mac mailboxes (folders) you create. Within each account folder there is a set of standard mailbox folders -- INBOX.mbox, Sent Message.mbox, etc. It is only on each xxxx.mbox folder that there are any limits -- roughly each xxxx.mbox should not reach or exceed 2 GB in Mail 2.x or Mail 3.x (Leopard's version).
Currently my Mail folder is 7.5 GB in total.
