User not able to download new mail

I have a user that is unable to fetch new mail as of Oct 10. Nothing has changed on his computer. He can view new emails on webmail/iphone, just not on his computer. The iphone has the same exact config as his computer.
I have trashed his mail's plist and re-input configurations. Still not downloading new mail.
He has 14000+ emails, but I don't think that's the limitation.
Any other suggestions?

Try going to Home/Library/Mail/<Account Folder> and deleting the MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded2 file; then restart Mail and see if that resolves the issue.

    Are you the administrator on  the macbook and are you the only account? In system preferences-system accounts,. You have all the users for the macbook. At the top you have password and login. you should be in password. On the left is the accounts. You should click on the one that is the administrator account. On the right is a bar that says change password. You click on that. It will go to another screen wear you enter your old pasword and then you new password. Then verify, then add hint if you want . Then click change. Do you see a little box with a key in it beside the enter new passward, that is for keychain. Your admin. password and keychain passwords have to match. That lets you download and open accounts, do updates ect. Doing this way sets admin and keychain pasword. If you keychain password is different than you admin password, that will stop you from downloading new software. Go to apple -support and beside support in search type in KB/h1631 then hit return. That explains keychain an how to change it if you have to.

    You need to update your iPhone's iOS version first, the current version of that app requires iOS 4.3+
    Connect the iPhone to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the phone to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases. You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the phone as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case.         We did a heterogeneous copy of PI from AIX to HPUX. After that we have done few post installation steps w.r.to PI Specific usage type.
        all the developers are able to login to the integration repository, but when they are trying to "Edit" or "Create" new objects they are getting the following error
    "You are not permitted to create new objects since the software component cannot be changed".
       this is working with PISUPER user but not with any development user id and passwd.
        any response is higly appreciated.

  • User not able to save e-mails from public folder

    Hi,
    I have a email user with a complain that she is not able to save some e-mails from public folder, nor their attachments, nor to forward them to her own inbox. This happen not for all emails but randomly for some emails in her public folder.
    She can open and read but got following  error message , while trying to save the attachment of the email
    "Cannot save the attachment. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object. See the folder contact or your system administrator"
    The following error occurred  when she trying to forward the email.
    "Cannot open this item. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on the object. See the folder contact or your system administrator"
    I have tried to grant "Edit All"  in the write permission area, later tried with "owner permission" too but still having the same errors.
    I found out in some occasion when the email is read only then it cannot be forwarded, copy or print the contents.
    I see emails in the public folder appeared with "Read only" but most of them can be saved and forward, only few appear with errors for the user. I did checked the emails "Restrict permission" setting and that display
    with "No restriction".
    How can I get rid of the errors and allow the user to save the attachment and also save the email in different location of the public folder.

    Please check if you can move these affected messages to Inbox folder.
    And please check if the issue persists in OWA.
    Does this issue affect only one user?
    If this issue only affects one user, you can recreate Outlook profile to check result.

    Is Aperture installed in the "Application"s folder and simply named Aperture?  If not, move it back to "Applications". Did you buy Aperture from the App Store or as a boxed Retail version?
    Relaunch the App Store and sign in with your Apple ID (in the Store menu). Reload the "Purchased" page of the App Store. Do see Aperture on the Purchased tab or perhaps the "Accept" portion of the "Purchased" page? If in the "Accept" portion, accept it to your AppleID  and install it. Else look again at the Update page.
    For some forum members the update did only appear  until after setting the primary system language to English and rebooting the Mac.  This bug is supposed to have been fixed with the update to 10.9.1, but try it, if all else should fail.

    Our one of the users when trying to download ICP reports from the Workspace is getting broken or incomplete files repeatedly for files bigger than 10 MB or so.. while rest of the user community is having no issues. what can be possible cause?

    Try going to Home/Library/Mail/<Account Folder> and deleting the MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded2 file; then restart Mail and see if that resolves the issue.

  • Outlook 2010 user not able to download images

    I have a user that claims he was able to receive email from a certain sender and was able to click download images and everything worked fine.  He said that one day he click something in the download images area and wasn't paying attention and now
    he can no longer download images from this sender.  The messages up top says "If there are problems with how this message is displayed, click here to view in a web browser"  When I click it view in browser is the only option (the message looks fine
    in the browser).  The images below are blank but show "The linked image cannot be displayed.  The" and the rest of the message is cut off.  I can not find any settings showing that anything is blocked.  I have tried giving him a new profile
    and uninstalling and reinstalling office.  I checked for blocked user and added this sender to the safe sender list.   I also tried clearing and moving his temp folder.   All other senders the images work properly.  When I receive
    images from this sender it works properly.  I feel a setting was changed for his account in Exchange.  We are running Exchange 2007.  Has anyone faced this problem and know how to fix it?

    Can he see the images in OWA?
    As Fred says, have him try another PC as well.

  • User not able to send the mail from other mail box on outlook 2007

    In my outlook(2007), i am using my mail box to send the mail and receiving the mail every thing working fine, now what happened , i am adding one of my users mail box to my outlook profile,and trying to send the mail from that mail box,when ever
    i am trying to send its give me the message called message undelivered  and permission error. as i am full permission on that users mail box. but still getting that issue.

    HI Paul,
    In exchange, you have something called Send as permission as well. Try to give send as permission to your self from the user's mailbox.
    In exchange> Reciepient config> Mailboxes> user mailbox> right click> Full Send as permssion
    or,
    Add-ADPermission -Identity "user1" -User "[email protected]" -ExtendedRights Send-As
    After you add your self in send as permission you need to wait for some time to propagate the settings or you can forcefully reset the information store services
    That should solve your issue.

    I am trying to get the new version of itunes. In itunes I go to help then check for updates. A box pops up telling me there is a new version. I click on download and the box disappears and nothing happens. I checked and I still have the old version.
    Why am I having this problem. I never ran into this before.

    Ok your funny! Although I don't doubt one bit that my computer hates me, I can't stand it sometimes.
    OK..here is my question, don't laugh. If I am trying to just update my itunes but go to the link you provided and download it. Will all my stuff just go into that new itunes I downloaded? I guess I'm just confused, since I don't have to download the whole thing, I just need it to update. Am I saying this right? I hope you get what I'm trying to say! Thanks for responding!

    Have you tried to reset your iPad? Reset the iPad by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider.  Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.

    Why is my iPad not able to download mail when the iPhone next to it can and the iPad may be able to do it 24 hours later with no change in settings?  This happens with multiple email accounts at the same time in several locations on many occasions.  The setting is to check emails every 15 minutes.   It says it is checking but nothing comes up while it does on my Mac or iPhone

    I have exactly the same problem here.
    Can see new email appearing straight away on the iPhone and Windows pc, but very erratic on the iPad.  Sometimes the emails appear immediately on the iPad, other times they don't appear for hours. 
    One thing I have noticed if I go and change the "delete messages - remove" setting to something other than what it was set (for instance from "never" to "one month") it seems to jiggle something and the outstanding emails all suddenly appear.

    We have configured multiple LDAPs by changing XML file.
    But now we are not able to create new users or groups.It is giving error saying that "Adapter is configured as read-only"

    For multiple LDAPs to work we have downloaded the Xml file namely "Flat hierarchy + Database "
    We made the necessary changes and then uploaded it.
    Now we want to create users or groups in portal-database and not in LDAP. But it is throwing error saying that "Adapter is read only". We suppose that it is trying to create users and groups in LDAP.
    So can anyone help us to create users or groups in portal-database.

  • Mac App Store is able to download new apps but not update old ones

    Well title says it all. I am able to download new apps (just bought GTA: Vice City to try) but when I hit update it says
    I updated my laptop to mountain lion this morning and everything works except softweare updates. I can not use iPhoto because it needs an update but as you can see I am not able to
    This is very irritating, anyone have any idea?
    Things I have already tried:
    Deleting app store cache
    Deleting app store cookie
    signing out and then back in

    Put the app in the Trash and try to download it again. It should give you the up-to-date version. If it works, then you can empty the Trash.

    Not able to create new e-mail on N8 using Mail for Exchange.
    Currently using google for my domain, but settings are the same as explained on the google Sync webpage: http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=147951
    When creating reply on mail the application crashes.  When creating new mail it says "Kan bewerking niet uitvoeren" in english: "Unable to execute action".
    Any idea why creating mail is not possible?
